Brooks Jensen gasps as fresh pain stabs up his leg. "Ah, god," he pants, straining to stem the blood pouring from the gashes torn into his thigh down to his knee. "JOSH!" His tag partner is little help, however, face down in the dirt, unmoving. Jensen can't even tell if he's breathing, and he can't move because of the fear of making the bleeding worse. "Please," Jensen mumbles, his eyes fluttering shut as he reaches a trembling hand out towards Briggs one last time before unconsciousness claims him.

"Where could they be?" Fallon demands, twisting her hands together. "I told them we should stay together, since none of us are that strong yet, but they just had to run off at the first sight of anything from our digivices." She sighs. "Those two, I swear..."

"Tsu, Tsu," her partner chants, rubbing its face against hers as they walk ahead through the brush.

"You trying to comfort me?" Fallon smiles, stroking her finger down the small Digimon's side. "Thanks. You're too cute."

"He looks pretty weak to me," an unfortunately familiar voice greets her and Fallon scoffs, glowering through the weeds to see her.

"No one asked you, Kiana, go away."

"God, you all are so uncouth and rude," Kiana scoffs. "Why are you stumbling around all alone out here, anyway? Did poor little Fallon get lost?"

Fallon scoffs at her. "not like you care, but Briggs and Jensen are missing and I think something's happened. So I'm looking for them. Not that it's any of your concern, after all." For a split second, Fallon almost swears that something crosses Kiana's face here, but she quickly schools her face into a neutral explanation, Fallon frowning at her.

"Let's go then," she says. "The sooner we find those two and everyone else, the sooner we can get out of here. What a dump." She tosses her hair over her shoulder and flounces past Fallon.

"What makes you think I want your help?" she yells after her, but Kiana ignores her and continues on her path, haughty and as obnoxious as ever. Fallon exhales and shakes her head. "The things I do for you, Josh, Brooks," she mumbles before storming after Kiana to continue the search, just from a different path.

Brooks is in and out, his vision wavering as he crawls painfully over to Briggs' motionless body. "Please," he mumbles, finally half-collapsing on top of Josh. "I'm sorry," he mumbles, patting Briggs over as best as he's able from this angle. He thinks there's fresh blood pouring from at least one injury, but it's hard to tell with how stained his hand already is. "Help's coming, Josh, we've got to believe that," he murmurs, trying to jostle Josh enough to wake him up.

It doesn't work and Brooks feels close to tears, more life draining from him as his leg slowly drips onto the ground below. He's close, he thinks, to passing out once more, possibly for the last time, before he hears voices. "Briggs! JENSEN, are you here?"

He lifts his head weakly. "Fallon?" he murmurs before darkness claims him and he collapses forward on top of Briggs once more.
