F3: Welcome to chapter 8 of Volume 5. Last time Star and company had taking care of the radio tower but looks like Abigail is doing other shady things behind the scenes. RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth. With that said Let's Dive In.
Volume 5-8: Want the SMMK.
Star and company were heading to the tavern as to speak with Opal about what they think they should do next and they hoped if she had an idea. They approached the tavern and headed inside but noticed that Opal was talking to someone else at the bar. He was a burly muscular man with medium length black hair but showing a little bit of gray and amber colored eyes. He wears an old dark orange shirt with a right side iron shoulder armor that wraps around the whole shoulder.
He wears dark blue pants with a belt around his waist along with old dark brown boots. He also wears knee guards on each leg as is talking to Opal.
"C'mon Opal. You know that man will do anything to get his grimy hands on this place. I'm not sure why he's so insistant though." The man replied.
"Davis. I know that you worry about me but not even Javi is dumb enough to come at me when I'm here. We need to stand up to that man. I mean you've have the sheriffs office to run and can't keep checking up on me." Opal said.
"Yes. But I'm worried that he might try something to make you leave. Without you this place will be taken over and he'll have full control over Kuchinashi. If only I'm capable of doing more to help." Davis replied.
"You do enough. Hopefully things will get better." Opal replied.
Star and the others walked over to them getting their attention. Opal noticed them and gently waved to them.
"Ah see you kids are still in one piece." She said.
"Yep. Even better we took care of the radio tower. That way Javi won't be sending any messages anymore to Abigail. All we have to do now is shut down there operation." Star said.
"That'll be easier said than done sweetheart. Abigail won't be one to go down so easily. Plus their's Sil and his team as well." Opal stated.
"You got a point." May added.
"We were planning on using the sewers to get in cause they lead directly to where Abigail is." Arrastra replied.
"That might work. But you'll have to be quick if you want to take her down. Using the sewers might be your best bet." Opal said.
"If you kids can get evidence that'll help I might be able to round up some huntsman to help put away these criminals for you and shut them down completely." Davis added.
"That'll be great. The more help the better." Cardin said.
"Then we could use some help to come up with a battle plan." Velvet replied.
"Okay then lets go over what we know." Star said as everyone was participating in helping with coming up with a plan.
Hours later they went over many kinds of plans over and over with almost getting almost no where. They knew of where they could enter from but the main issue was the amount of soldiers they might have to deal with when they get in. They even went over alternate routes they could use but most of them wouldn't work or alert the guards which could bring the soldiers to them and they'd be surrounded in seconds.
After some time they came to an agreement on what they'll do next.
"Okay the best course of action is for us to split up into two teams. Cardin, Velvet, and Arrastra you three will take the sewers. Me and May will take the back way and sneak up from behind. They'll never see it coming." Star replied.
"Okay now that we have a plan let's head back to the house. Tomorrow we'll strike." Arrastra stated as they nodded.
"Be careful kids. Abigail isn't someone to take lightly." Opal warned as they group of five left the tavern and returning to Arrastras home.

It was almost night time as Arrastra was cooking in the kitchen making up some dinner for everyone with a little help from Cardin who was a big welcome in the kitchen. Star and May was going over the plan again to make sure they're aren't any holes in the plan while Velvet was listening intensely.
"Okay so here's the warehouse. You three will enter here from the town and make your way toward the back of the warehouse here." Star said pointing out the spot on the map.
"Meanwhile we'll circle around the warehouse and enter through the back. They'll be less guards their and we can get the jump on her." She added.
"Yeah sounds about right." May replied.
"Yeah I just hope that we can do this. Especially for the people here so they don't have to worry about them." Star added.
"Agreed." May nodded. Velvet got up a moment from her seat and headed toward the door.
"Hey Vel. Where you going? It's going to get dark soon." Star said.
"I'm just going to get some air. Back in a sec." Velvet smiled before walking outside the house.
"She's been doing that quite a bit lately. You think she's worried about something?" May asked.
"Well... she found out that her team caused the attack on Beacon and nearly tried to kill her too. Honestly I would be a little worried about that." Star replied as the two remained silent.
Meanwhile just outside the house Velvet pulled out her scroll and began sending Abigail messages about what her teammates were planning. However just before she could send a message she felt something on the back of her head that felt like a barrel of a gun.
"Drop the scroll." Yuuki ordered. Almost immediately Velvet ducked underneath and leg sweeped Yuuki causing her to trip. Velvet went to stomp on her chest but Yuuki rolled out of the way before kicking up into a standing position. The two of them immediately engaged each other with each of them trying to out do the other. Velvet threw a punch but was blocked and countered by Yuuki as she threw a punch right across her cheek knocking her back. She holstered her weapon to fight her properly as she charged at the rabbit faunus delivering a punch to her gut and then elbowing her in the head knocking her back into a wall as Velvets head boucned off it knocking her unconcious.
Yuuki picked up the scroll she had and noticed the messages she left on it and the ones from Abigail sent her.
"So that's what going on." Yuuki said before picking up Velvet and heading toward the Arrastras house.
Yuuki knocked on the door as Star answered the door.
"Mrs. Yuuki? Why are you here?" Star asked before noticing that she was carrying Velvet.
"Hey! What you've done to her!?" Star shouted getting everyones attention as Cardin and Arrastra come out from the kitchen to see what was the matter.
"Miss Yuuki? What are you doing here?" Arrastra asked.
"Taking care of a problem before it gets worse." Yuuki replied walking inside before setting Velvet down on the chair.
"Still doesn't answer what you've done to Velvet." Star added.
Yuuki then tossed Star Velvets scroll "Open it and you'll see." Yuuki replied.
Star didn't trust her at first but she decided to open Velvets scroll to see what she meant and noticed there were a lot of messages from an unknown number. She taped on the messages and she noticed the messages containing the ideas and plans that they had and were sending them to whoever is on the other end of the messages.
"Our ideas. They're all here. Why would Velvet be sending our ideas to this person?" Star asked.
"Not just any person. That number is to Abigail Pyre." Yuuki revealed which stunned everyone in the room.
"Wait a minute. Velvet wouldn't do this willingly." Star added.
"That's because it wasn't done willingly. I assume you got information from Miss Opal at the Skillful didn't you about her correct." Yuuki replied as they all nodded.
"Well I think you didn't know about what esle she carries with her." Yuuki added as she pulls up an image on her scroll that shows Abigail wearing something on her neck.
"What's that? Some kind of necklace?" Cardin asked.
"Not just any necklace. Its an artifact from the olden days. Legend said that a high general was able to control a hundred soldiers under his command with just a wave of his hand. The Sirens Gem." Yuuki replied.
"So wait... Velvet was being controlled by her through the necklace. It has that much of an influence." May said as the teacher nodded.
"Yeah. Luckily it has a weakness that can be exploited rather easily. Knock them in the head hard enough and they're back to their old selfs." Yuuki added as Velvet began to stir as her eyes fluttered open.
"Ow... what happened?" Velvet asked rubbing her head where she got hit.
"Just stopping you from sending Abigail whatever plans you all had." Yuuki said which sort of confused Velvet.
"Huh? I don't think I would do that." Velvet said.
"Well you most certainly did." Star said handing Velvet back her scroll as she looked at the messages telling Abigail about their own plans as it even surprised her.
"Okay... I don't remember sending these messages or even this number." Velvet replied.
"Do you remember anything?" Yuuki asked.
Velvet thought hard a moment trying to think of a memory she could recall.
"Last time... when we went to sleep last night... I felt something poke at me in the shoulder... next thing I remember was waking up at the warehouse. Abigail was their... along with Sil and his team... she touched my head and then... everything went blank." Velvet replied.
"Hm... yeah I must've figured. The necklace must've controlled you and made you do whatever she wanted you to do. Hence the messages on the scroll." Yuuki replied.
"Oh no... that means she knows everything about our plan." Velvet added rather horrified about that fact.
"Not all of our plans. You haven't sent the recent one in which Ms. Yuuki prevented you from doing. She won't be expecting it." Star said.
"That means we have the element of surprise on our side. So when do we plan to strike at them?" Cardin asked.
"You're plan won't work whatever it is. During the night they have lamp lights they use to illuminate the area. First you need to take out the lights more perferred from a distance." Yuuki replied.
"I can handle that." May said confidently.
"Also at the end of the warehouse is a container that has highly compatible dust that is also very explosive. Take that out and the whole place go up." Yuuki added.
"Yeah that'll definately ruin both Javi and Abigails operation." Arrastra said with a big smirk on her face.
"What about that team? We'll probably have to confront them soon or later." Star said.
"We'll come to that when we cross them." Cardin added.
"So I'm guessing we're coming up with a brand new plan than our old plan then." Velvet said as they all nodded at this.
"Oh yeah. This time we're going to need to be methodical about it." Arrastra added as the six of the got to work on planning their next move.

Meanwhile at the warehouse Abigail was waiting for another message from her little spy but it has been hours since then which she was starting to get rather annoyed and impatient. She got up from her chair and began pacing around.
"Something troubling you ma'am?" Sil questioned.
"Our little spy isn't sending anymore messages about what they're up to. Something isn't right. Has the hole in the wall been sealed yet?" Abigail questioned.
"Already done ma'am." Marton answered.
"We are also covering any other points of entry that they might try. Don't worry they're not getting through us." Khaki stated.
"Then tell why I feel uneasy." Abigail said staring at them.
"I want everything prepared by tomorrow night or so help me you four aren't going to like what I do to you." She said rather angrly as team SMMK left the warehouse.
"Geez. She's certainly uptight today." Mina said.
"She just wants this to get done quickly so yeah she is rather uptight." Sil replied.
"Though I think it's about time we deal with those four. They're going to be troublesome if we don't deal with them now." Marton added.
"Yeah I say it's time we deal with them." Khaki said.
"For once we can all agree on something." Mina added almost inching for a fight.
Sil chuckled "Don't worry. I got a feeling they're going to be coming here anyway." Sil replied as all they had to do was wait.

Night time came and it was time for Star and company to put their plan into action.
"Alright does everyone know the plan. May you get into position and take out the lights. With those out they'll more than likely know that were coming which is what were expecting. Though don't shoot the explosive dust until we have taken care of Abigail." Yuuki replied.
"Understood." May replied.
"Me and the others wil handle Team SMMK if we encounter them. Yuuki you think you can handle Abigail?" Star asked.
"Just leave her to me while you all handle SMMK." Yuuki replied.
"Got it." Cardin said as they all were ready to put the plan into action.
The six of them left Arrastras house and began walking toward the warehouse which it did take them about thirty minutes. After arriving May separated from them to take her position as Arrastra and the others readied themselves to encounter Team SMMK.
"May you in position?" Star asked.
"I'm ready. Just tell me when." May said over the earpiece.
"Do it." Star ordered. A moment later shots were heard from May's position and began taking out the lights in the warehouse making the soldiers panic in response trying to figure out where the shots were coming from.
"Someone's shooting at us!" A soldier shouted.
A moment later the shooting has stopped as the last of the lights had gone out.
"All lights have been taken out. They're completely blind now." May stated.
"Nice work May. Stay low until we give the word to destroy the containers." Star ordered.
However Arrastra noticed some figures coming their direction and immediately knew who they were.
"We got company." She said bringing out her pickaxe as so did everyone else with their weapons.
Not to their surprise it was Sil and his team that approached them battle ready to fight Star and her group.
"Well well. I've got to say you are really starting to get on my nerves. And that normally doesn't happen every day you know." Sil replied with a smirk before he noticed Velvet that was with them.
"I'm guessing you figured out the necklace right. Not too surprising really." He added.
"You can thank Yuuki for that one. Looks like your hard work is going to go up in flames." Cardin added.
"Big talk from you little man. I can snap you like a twig if I wanted to." Marton said holding his club.
Cardin readied his mace almost expecting to fight "Just try it fat boy." Cardin snarked back.
Khaki however took notice that a certain someone was missing from their group and chuckled.
"So it's that sniper girl that took out the lights. Pretty clever. She'll be an easy to find once we crush you." Khaki said.
"I doubt that. She has a real knack for keeping out of sight that I doubt even a faunus could track her down. Trust me I've tried." Star stated.
That's when they turn to Yuuki "Oh Miss Yuuki. Decided to try and play huntress as well. I thought you'd be safe and sound at your precious academy. You know the same academy you taught us from." Mina replied.
"I'm not just going to sit around a let you do this to Kuchinashi. I know it's not an ideal place for anyone to live but people do try and work with what they got. You doing this will only bring more trouble for us. If anything you four are traitors." Yuuki replied.
"Traitors. Now that's a harsh term to use don't you think. I mean yes were a huntsman group but that doesn't mean we have to abide by that rule. We can do what we want and take on whatever job we want. If we wanted to be mercenaries then that's what we'll be. Plus the pay is way better too. Especially hunting all those other huntsmen and huntresses. Never gets old does it. You of all people should know that right Yuuki." Sil replied but Yuuki remained silent.
"Hey. We got this. You go do your thing." Star replied. Yuuki nodded as she split up from them.
"Oh no you don't!" Mina shouted as she went to intercept Yuuki only to be stopped by Velvet blocking her path to get to the professor.
"You want her. You'll have to go through me first!" Velvet added pushing Mina back.
Mina unsheathed her sword and began attacking Velvet. She responded by summoning Gambol Shroud as it appeared in her hands as her semblance began recalling how Blake fights.
The fight was on as Cardin immediately went straight for Marton as he swung his mace at him but Marton met him striking with his club as they were locked in a power struggle to see who would overpower the other.
Star and Sil were already fighting it out as she attacked Sil but his flexibility was making it rather hard to hit him and he was taking shots at her punching her whenever she missed a strike.
"Hold still you damn noodle!" Star shouted as she swung her gunbreakers at him but again Sil dodged her and this time delivered a kick to her skull making her stumble backwards.
"You're going to need to be faster if you want to keep up with me." Sil replied as he jumped in the air before coming down on her with an axe kick as Star blocked with her gunbreakers. However using his own momentum he polvolted over her and attacked her back.
"C'mon I'm barely putting up a sweat here." He stated.
Star growled at this as she had no choice but to get serious as she channeled her semblance. Sil tried attacking again assuming her guard was down and charged at her. However just when he reached her Star jumped out of the way and with all her might kicked him in the gut knocking him back which surprise him of how much strength was used in that kick.
He then noticed something different about Star. First that she has an additional tail and that her nails had gotten longer.
"How about we try this again?" She growled as she readied herself as Sil wondered about her sudden change.
Cardin and Marton clashed with their weapons and neither of them was getting anywhere with each other but most importantly Cardin noticed that his dust was working for something reason.
"What's the matter kid? Dust not working like you wanted. Well it's not going to work for a long time. Your dust is useless against me kid. My semblance can nullify dust." Marton replied as he shoved Cardin off him and used his club to hit Cardins stomach sending him flying a few feet away from him.
"This ain't no combat class kid. You're going to get hurt doing this job." Marton said with a grin.
However Cardin got up from and rubbed his stomach where Marton hit him as he smirked with a cocky smile.
"You really think that hurts. Please I know someone that hits way harder than you do. Taking a club like that is like getting hit with a flies swatter. Care to try again." Cardin said almost taunting him. Marton charged at him raising his club to strike at Cardin but he was ready for him this time as he used his own semblance as he incased himself in a blue aura as Cardin charged at Marton but this time Cardin allowed him to hit him again.
Marton swung his club at Cardin but the moment his club connected with Cardins armor it suddenly bounced off and he felt the full force of his own attack knocking him back.
"Didn't expect that huh? You can nullify dust but mine can send attacks right back at you." Cardin stated as he rushed his opponent.
"You guys are going down!" He shouted as the two heavy weights clashed again.
Meanwhile Yuuki managed to slip inside and knock out the guards that were guarding the entrance where Abigail was currently stationed.
She placed a hand on her pistol as she entered the room but the moment the door opened she was met with a swift kick to the side of her hip knocking her to the ground almost pulling the door off the hinges.
Yuuki quickly got up from the hit as she noticed Abigail was standing their in front of her.
"Well. Decided to handle me yourself. I'm rather flattered." Abigail mocked.
"Figured while the kids handle your little team I take care of you." Yuuki growled shifting into a fighters stance.
Abigail unsheathed her scimitar and pointed it right at Yuuki. Immediately Yuuki charged at her opponent but Abigail expected it as she side stepped the attack and struck with her blade. Yuuki rolled away from the strike and took out a weapon from her back and attached to her wrists.
It was a black arm band with grey coloring along the sides. On the arm band contains a silver color with four dark gray sharp objects inside it. With a flick of her wrists they extended over her knuckles like brass knuckles.
"Ah. Thought you wouldn't be using those anymore little sis." Abigail replied.
Yuuki only scoffed at this "You stopped being my sibling the moment you got into doing this. I warned you about what could happen but you didn't listen. And I'm going to put an end to it all right here." Yuuki replied as she charged at Abigail again. Abigail dodged the oncoming attack but this time Yuuki was ready for as she side stepped and threw a right hook that connected to her right hip causing Abigail to stumble.
That stumble gave her an opportunity to deliver another one two punch combo before finishing with an uppercut sending Abigail flying as she hit a steal beam. Her aura took most of the blow as she stood back up facing Yuuki.
"My... quite relentless aren't you. Almost like you were trained for that right." Abigail mocked.
Yuuki attacked again but Abigail was ready as she rolled from the punch making it connect with the steal beam leaving a dent in it. This time Abigail landed mulitple slashes and cuts onto Yuuki as only a few of them were blocked but she still sustained damage to her aura.
"Though you are forgetting to not under estimate me." Abigail threatened holding her scimitar ready for the kill.
Yuuki flicked her wrists again into full claw mode crossing her arms as she was ready for another round.
=SPIR=
Star and her group were fairing decent against Sil and his team but it was still a struggle for them to put the group down. Star was trying to not use so much of her semblance or she'll lose control of herself like before back in Vacou. Cardin was handling Marton rather easily as he was able to predict where he was going to swing and counter attack, but Marton was starting to figure him out as well as they both suffered damage to their auras as they both were breathing heavily.
Arrastra was struggling against Khaki who was surprisingly strong than she originaly anticipated. Khaki threw a punch at where Arrastra was who just barely dodged it but the impact of her punch split the earth underneath shooting debris up into the air. Khaki grabbed a piece of debris and threw it at Arrastra.
The boulder suddenly exploded in mid air causing dust to spread into the air obscuring her view but she then saw Arrastra pointing her crossbow right at her and then fired a bolt at her but it was infused with lightning as it hit her in her chest releasing an electric shock throughout her body as her muscles convusled on herself landing on the ground. Arrastra stepped on her stomach and pointed her weapon at her.
"I won't move if I were you." Arrastra said.
Marton charged at Cardin with his club swinging wildly aiming for his stomach but Cardin jumped back avoiding the swing as he noticed that Marton swing made him off balance giving Carding the opportunity to finish it. He lunged forward and using his mace swung directly at the big guys stomach knocking the literally wind out of him knocking out the last of his aura as Marton fell to the ground.
"As the old saying. The bigger they are the harder they fall." Cardin said.
Velvet was handling Mina but the spider faunus was much trickier than she originally thought especially with the webs she keeps using them to make weapons from them. Mina weaved her hands making a ball of webs and threw it directly at Velvet. She dodged the ball of webs but Mina kept making more and throwing them right at her as she was trying to dodge them using her slender frame to dodge them but even she was starting to get tired.
Summon upon her semblance she materlized Weiss's gunblade and began firing from a distance making Mina dodge her attacks. Then Velvet charged at her as their weapons clashed but Mina held the advantage of being stronger than her as she was pushing Velvet back.
"Too weak bunny." Mina said as she shoved Velvet away and slashed at the tube top cutting it in half almost exposing herself. She placed an arm across her chest before zipping up the jacket she wore to keep her modesty.
"Here I was starting to have fun but your just way to boring." Mina replied as she attacked again but this time Velvet summoned Peppers weapons as she remembered how she fights. Just when Mina got close she ducked the strike and aimed for her gut landing a series of fast blows making Mina gasp and lose her grip of her weapon. Seeing the opportunity Velvet gave a final punch to her head knocking Mina back a few feet as she crumbled to the ground her aura shattered.
Sil saw all of this seeing his teammates fall left and right because of these wannabee huntsman. Sil decided to take things into his own hands as she triggered his semblance shrouding the area in darkness making it almost impossible to find him.
"Oh man not this." Arrastra said trying to find him.
"Good luck. No one has beaten my semblance. I doubt that you all could." Sils voice echoed throughout the area.
Star calmed herself down as she focused on trying to find where his voice was coming from. Mulitple shots rang out hitting the rest of the group as Arrastra aura was the first to break while the others were just holding on.
Star concentrated using her ears to try and pick up where he was. Her ears flicked as she heard footsteps rushing toward Velvet as she acted fast. She lunged to where he was and swung her gunbreakers as she hit flesh. The darkness around desipated quickly leaving Sil wide in the open as was on the ground holding the side of his head.
"Bad thing about your semblance. Uses up a lot of aura." Star said pointing her weapons at him as he was subdued.
=SPIR=
Inside the warehouse Yuuki came crashing through the warehouse the stone breaking way as she landed hard on her back. Abigail leaped into the air as she went to stab at her. She saw this and quickly rolled away just as the blade stabbed into the dirt just missing her shoulder.
Though they both were looking a little worse for wear as they both were covered in dirt as Yuuki quickly got to her feet.
"Why don't you just die!?" Abigail shouted.
"Now where's the fun in that!" Yuuki yelled as she charged at her sister as their weapons clashed.
"You're not even worried about those children you brought with you. How sad that you send them straight to their deaths sister. How are you going to live with yourself knowing now you have blood on your hands." Abigail cackled pushing her back.
"Oh I doubt those kids will bite the dust that quickly. They are quite resourceful!" Yuuki shouted as she allowed herself to be pushed back allowing her sisters own momentum to carry her forward making her lose her footing which gave Yuuki an opportunity land a solid strike on her sister and disarming Abigail of her scimitar as it was flung into the air just as Abigail landed on her back.
Yuuki then caught the scimitar out of the air and pointed it at Abigail neck.
"You've lost sis." Yuuki stated firmly keeping the weapon trained on her.
"Even if you get rid of me. Somonelse will just come in and take over. It won't truly end." She added.
"Actually... it will. As much as I hate your guts... you're still my sister and family. So I'm going to do you a favor." Yuuki said as she pressed a finger to her ear.
"Do it May." Yuuki ordered.
In her hiding spot May focused on the containers and pulled the trigger as the bullet sailed through the air right at the containers. The bullet hit the containers causing an explosion that not only destroyed the containers but also anything else that was explosive throughout the warehouse.
The people that were inside made a scrambled out the warehouse as quickly as they could.
"No. NO NO!" Abigail shouted angrily.
"Your finished sis. Now get up." Yuuki said as she grabbed hold of her sister picking her up off the ground. Abigail didn't resist in her sister hold as she had no weapon with Yuuki keeping a firm grip on her sister.
Yuuki escorted Abigail to where Star and the others were alongside a defeated Team SMMK with Abigail giving them a scowled look.
May came running down from her hiding spot rejoining the group "There's no way people didn't see an explosion that big. I bet we'll be getting some company later." May said.
Like what she said in about ten minutes the headmaster of the academy along with some huntsman along with the sheriff and Opal. Everyone noticed that they had both Team SMMK and Abigial handled.
"Is everyone alright?" Takaya asked.
"Yeah everyone's fine. No major injuries." Velvet answered.
"And what of any evidence?" Opal asked.
"They had dust containers they were smuggling in from the outside. May destroyed part of them but I bet they's more hidden around if we look hard enough. Abigail here was they're distributor while Javi was the was one transporting everything. Without the warehouse he won't be able to do anything." Arrastra said.
"Well... seems like you all have this well in hand. We'll hand them over to the shieff to hold them and call Mistral to pick them up." Takaya replied as the other huntsmen took Team SMMK and Abigail away in cuffs.
"No matter what you do she will win in the end. It's only a matter of time when the queen has her revenage on the world!" Abigail shouted as she was taken away as Yuuki only watch her with a disappointed sigh.
"I thank you for handling this situation. We all owe you a debt of making Kuchinashi a little more safe for people. It's only a matter of time till Javi realizes what has happened and then he'll be next." Opal said.
"Anytime. Though I think after today I think a goodnights rest would be nice right about now." Velvet said as everyone else nodded in agreement as the group left the warehouse district. However Star couldn't help but know who Abigail meant her queen. In the skies above her a tenticle grimm floated about almost watching the whole thing.
"So you are the Winter Maiden young one. I look forward to soon obtaining your power." Salem stated as the grimm disappeared from sight.
F3: And that is chapter 8. Abigail is defeated and her plans are foiled. Though it would appear that Salem has her eyes on Star and her Maiden Power. There's more to come.
