F3: Welcome to chapter 21 of my RWBY story. So far Blake and company had been warned of the White Fang are on the move and are now making their way toward Mistral. Will they make it or will it be too late. RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth. Colby Castanho and Senka Linwood belong to MountainKing312 and Akane Shidou belong to Decode9. With that said Let's Get Started.
Volume 5-21: A Day Of Peace.
Fists were flying throughout the small training arena inside Haven Academy as both combatants were giving it everything they got in their training. Currently both Pepper and Ruby were in a stalemate as neither budged from their spot as they were locked in a power struggle. Ruby figured that Pepper was stronger than her and had more hand to hand experiance but she had the speed to compensate for the disadvantage.
Ruby pushed Pepper back and using what Yang taught her back on Patch began throwing carefully placed punches to get the upper hand on her opponent. However Pepper saw this coming and acted accordingly blocking and even match Ruby's punches. Though she was rather impressed by Ruby's progress that she not having to rely on her weapon as much thanks to both her and Yangs training.
"Looks like all the training is finally starting to pay off huh Rubes." Pepper said as she blocked another punch.
"Yeah. Though I feel like I got a lot more to learn." Ruby admitted.
"You can say that again. It took me a few weeks to get what I know down and that wasn't easy either." Pepper added as she shoved Ruby away as she readied again.
"Let's take a break for a moment. We don't need to tire ourselves out yet." Pepper suggested relaxing her stance.
Ruby relaxed her stance though she was breathing rather hard from the training.
"Yeah a break sounds good." She said as the two walked over to the bench to sit down.
"I will say you are getting better but you still need to work on your stamina. Tire yourself out too quickly and you'll leave yourself wide open for others to take opportunties. You need to be careful of that." Pepper advised.
"Alright. I can handle that." Ruby said as Pepper sat down next to her as they watched the others train as well.
May was doing some target practice shooting targets that were further away and she was hitting most of them but some of them she did miss. Jaune and Cardin were busy training with Adam as he was running the two of them through the ringer as he dodged a swipe from Jaune sword and kicked away an attacked from Cardin's mace but the two are working surprisingly well together.
Jaune rushed at Adam again feinting a strike from his sword but instead went to bash Adam with his shield knocking him back a bit. Cardin pressed a button on the hilt which allowed them mace to slack as a chain was attached to the end of it.
Cardin swung the mace around and launched it directly at Adam. He saw this as Adam raised Blush to block it but it instead wrapped around the sheath. Using this to his advantage Adam yanked back making Cardin trip forward as he collided into Jaune making both of them lose their footing and their weapons as they cluttered to the floor below them.
The two of them groaned on the ground while Adam walked toward the two kneeling down to them.
"You two are improving but you need to work on your synrgy with each other. Relying on brute strength isn't going to win you many battles." Adam got up before walking back into position.
"Alright let's start again." Adam said while Jaune and Cardin got back up. Jaune got into a ready position while Cardin retracted the mace head and readied himself for another round.
Akane, Senka and Colby were all watching them train from the sidelines.
"Wow they're really giving it their all huh?" Akane said.
"Yeah they're working hard for what's coming. Hopefull this training will be enough to fight against our enemy." Senka stated.
"I'm sure it'll be fine. Besides we're here too so they won't be alone when the real fight starts." Colby added as they continued watching them train. May looked through her scope again and fired at another target in front of her and saw it go down with meer ease.
"Got to get sharper." She shot at another target but this was further out.
"Can't afford to miss." Another target came up but it went down like the rest.
"I won't fail like I did my team." She fired another shot splitting the target in two.
Star and Weiss had returned from their private chat and were now training on their own. Weiss concentrated as she focused on her semblance as she began to remember some lessons more particularly about summoning.
It was a Schnee family trait that one can master to be able to conjuor servents of those that died in a fight against them all she had to do was remember as she recalled what Winter told her back in Argus.
"Remember Weiss summoning isn't only just about how to remember your foe. Feel it within you, remember how it felt when you faced your opponent for the first time, remember how it felt when it was defeated, grasp hold of that memory and then give it life." Winters words rang in her mind.
Weiss began shifting through her memories as she began recall her first memory of an enemy she defeated. Remembered its shape, it's form, it's strength. A large glyph appeared in front of her as she began to concentrate on the summoning. She remembered the difficulty it was to defeat, how imposing the opponent was.
Everyone else stopped what they were doing as they all turned to see what Weiss was doing as they paid close attention. Weiss really didn't see what they were looking at as her eyes were closed mainly focusing on the memory of her opponent. Then a picture of the opponent appeared in her mind as the glyph spun a little faster. With now a clear picture of what she wanted to summon she lifted her hand into the air before slamming her palm at the ground causing the glyph to complete the summoning a bright light engulfing the field.
Everyone turned away from the bright light but then looked back and they couldn't believe what they saw in front of them. It was a large suit of armor incase in a cyan colored aura with a large buster sword in its hands with the blade facing down as it held it by the hilt.
"Holy cow." Nora said completely taken aback.
"Indeed." Ren added to his partners comment.
Looking out the window Raven and currently in control Ozpin looked upon the training field and saw what Weiss had down.
"The Schnee family summoning technique. Only their bloodline could master such a skill with their semblance." Ozpin said.
"Not bad for a shortstack." Raven commented.
The suit of armor looked down at its master as Weiss stared up at her servent meeting its gaze. The suit of armor then bend down to a knee and lowered it's head like it was bowing to her ready to serve.
Weiss gave the knight a bow in return but then a wave of exhaustion suddenly hit her as she went to a knee. Unable to maintain focus the suit of armor began to vanish into blue particals as Ruby, Yang, and Adam rushed over to check on her.
"Dang Weiss that was amazing. I didn't know you can do that." Yang commented.
"Yeah. That was so cool." Ruby added.
"Thank you... though could you help me up. My legs feel like jello." Weiss said letting out a tired breath.
Adam figure she must've used up a lot of aura for that summoning given her tired state so he figured she would need some rest. So he wrapped his left arm under her knees and his other arm behind her back before lifting her up into a bridal carry which caught Weiss and everyone else off guard.
"A-Adam! What are you doing!?" Weiss yelled her face.
"Taking you somewhere so that you can rest a little." Adam replied before walking off with her in his arms.
"Y-You don't have to carry me like this! It's e-embarrassing!" Weiss shouted protesting her discomfort but Adam couldn't care less as he continued to walk off toward the dorms.
Yang gave a teasing whistle "Oh looks like someone has their own little prince charming." Yang teased.
"Can someone smack her for me please!?" Weiss shouted back and before Yang knew it Neo gave her a slap to the back of her head before dusting off her hands.
Yang looked toward Neo angrily "Oh it is so on pipsqueak!" Yang shouted which in turn started a chase with Yang being the chaser and Neo the chasey but she had a grin on her face knowing that Yang would never catch her even if she tried which made everyone laugh at this.
Raven and Ozpin could only look on as the mother sweetdropped from this display.
"Like mother, like daughter is suppose." Ozpin replied.
"Yeah yeah. Laugh it up." Raven groaned but then again they all needed a good laugh once in a while. It shows that they are still human and it gives then a sense of peace for how ever long it will last.
=SPIR=
Adam carried Weiss into one of the unused dorms though she was still showing a face of great discomfort. He gently placed her on one of the chairs to make more comfortable in she was thankful for that.
"Is that better?" He asked.
"Y-Yes. Though next time warn me when you're going to do that! It was the most embarrassing thing in my life. I'm sure Yang is going to use that just to tease me." Weiss replied crossing her arms.
"Wouldn't been worse if I carried you on my back?" Adam questioned. Weiss was about to retort to that but then she realize he'd was right it would have been equally embarrassing.
"Good point." Weiss replied.
"For what it's worth I apologies for that." He said with an apologetic look.
Weiss smiled back at him for a moment "Thank you. Though what are you going to do?" She asked.
"I think I'll rest up for a while until Ozpin calls for something he needs." Adam said and with that he turned to leave.
However just before he left Weiss spoke up again.
"Wait!" She said stopping him in his tracks.
"Yes?" He asked turning his head to meet her stare.
"Um... I was wondering. If you aren't busy... would you like to grab some dinner tonight. I saw this resteraunt when we were taken in. If that's okay with you?" She asked with a small blush on her face.
At first Adam didn't say a thing as it made her worry if she might have screwed up but then he spoke up.
"Seven o'clock. I'll come by and pick you. Sound good." Adam replied.
Weiss nodded "Great. It's a date. See you then." Weiss replied as Adam left.
That was when Weiss realized what she had just said to him as her face was now completely flushed as a tomato.
"Why did I even say that? 'It's a date.' Damnit that sounded too cliche. Get a hold of yourself Weiss. I mean sure he's nice, handsome, and..." That was when it dawned on her of what she was saying.
"Oh sweet brothers... am I falling for him..." She thought as it lingered in her mind for a moment as she tried to process everything. What she needed was help and there was one of her teammates that could help her... she just hopes she wouldn't tease her too much.
Back with the others everyone had finished whatever training they did and were now looking about to find other things to keep themselves busy. Ruby went inside the lounge as she had some of her own concerns she wanted to bring up with Raven and Ozpin. She went to where the two were talking but she couldn't help overhear what they were talking about through the door.
"Why can't we just grab the relic? We already know where it is and it would safe us the trouble for later." Ravens voice said.
"It's not as simple as you like to believe. Yes while you could get into the vault using your maiden abilities but to get to the vault you need the artifact to go with it. The Key to Spring to be more accurate." Ozpin added.
"And that's the same with the other vaults as well?" Raven asked.
"You'd be correct. They were designed as a two layered security system. You can have the artifact but without the maiden powers you can into the vault or vice versa. It was to make sure that no one cannot enter without having both at the same time." Ozpin answered.
"Well that makes things a little difficult doesn't. So what is this artifact that gets us down into the vault?" Raven questioned.
"From what I could recall it is a ring. The Ring of Strength is the key that can get us into the vault. However from what I can tell no one here is in possesion of it. Perhaps our other allies that are coming from the seas." Ozpin mentioned.
"If they can get here in time that is." Raven added.
"Also it would appear that we can some company. You can come in Miss Rose." Ozpin said through the door. Ruby let out an eep like she had just been caught.
She gently opened the door to poke her head through "Eh sorry... I uh didn't mean to easedrop." Ruby said as she entered the room closing the door behind her.
"Something wrong kiddo. You look rather troubled by something." Raven said.
Ruby stood their nervously trying to get her words out but trying to figure out how to say it makes it troubling for her as she fidgeted with her hands.
"Ruby. Take a deep breath and then say what you want to say." Raven instructed.
Ruby did just that as she took in a deep breath, held it for about five seconds before letting it out slowly through her nose. It helped her stopped fidgeting with her hands.
"Now say what's on your mind." Raven said.
Ruby nodded as she started "It was when we were fighting Tyrian back at the abandoned village. He said something about he was going to take me away to Salem. Said that I was more important. What did he mean by that?" Ruby asked.
Raven and Ozpin stared at each other for a moment before back to Ruby.
"Why don't you come sit and we'll talk." Raven said. Ruby found a spot near Raven to sit down.
"Do you know about the Silver Eyed Warriors Ruby?" Raven asked but she shook her head.
"Some people thought of it as just a made up story but in truth its very real. Said to be a gift from the Brother of Light. The lineage of the Silver Eyed Warrior is more ancient before you and I were even thought of. Said to be some of the fearsome warrior to this very day. Because Ruby with their power they could perserve life but only if you have a strong desire to do so." Raven replied.
"So kinda like me and Akane. She has eyes just like mine. And... mom too but that doesn't explain why Tyrian came for me." Ruby said.
"Because Ruby... to his master... Salem, he sees you as a threat and wants you dead along with any other one that posess silver eyes." Raven replied.
"So that's why he wanted me dead?" Ruby asked almost distrubed by this fact.
"Don't worry about it too much Ruby. I won't let anything happen to you. I promise. For now we're formulating a plan so that we can defend Haven from the oncoming attack. We'll call up everyone when we have a plan." Raven replied.
"Okay. Maybe I'll see if Mistral has a dust shop. I'm kinda running a little low." Ruby replied.
"Just stay away from the lower end Ruby. Bad things happen down their that you don't want to get wrapped up in." Ozpin warned. Ruby nodded at this before exiting the room.
Once she had left Ozpin turned to Raven with a concerning look on her face.
"You know that's not all what they can do? Why hide that part?" Ozpin said.
"I don't want her to hate herself for having those eyes. I know that down the road she'll find out about the silver eyes other power. I just fear that she won't be able to control it." Raven said before returning to the task at hand.
=SPIR=
A few hours past and Weiss was facing quite the dilemma as it was only five o'clock in the evening the sun just now starting to descend toward the horizon but it only made her feel more anxious about tonight as she never truly dated anyone in her life. Though if their was anything she needed was dating advice and she knew of the one person that could help her but she feared that she would only tease her about it.
It almost made her feel like how Pepper felt with her first date with Mercury, even though she declared that it wasn't a date. So with her mind made up she began to locate the one person to help her and she had an idea of just where said person could be. She entered the academies training field and immediately saw Yang beating the heck out of a punching bag as she delievered fast yet powerful punches.
"Ah just the person I've been looking for." Weiss replied getting Yangs attention.
"Sup partner. You need me for something?" Yang asked wiping off the sweat from her workout with a towel nearby.
"Actually yes. I'm going into some rather unfamiliar territory and I'm going to need your help with." Weiss said.
"Oh sounds rather juciy. Sure what is it?" Yang said rather excited.
"Have you ever dated anyone because I'm still rather unfamiliar with it?" Weiss asked.
Yang stood their a moment not sure what to even say staring at her partner but not before letting out a chuckle.
"So you're telling me that you never dated before. I thought Pepper said that you had many suitors right or something like that." Yang said which only Weiss scowl at that.
"Those were planned but I'm talking about an actually date with someone that you..." Weiss started but then stopped herself from saying anything more but her face had slightly blushed.
That was when Yang caught on about what and who she was talking about.
"Ah. Is this about Adam?" Yang asked knowingly. Instead of saying anything Weiss only nodded her tail flicking to the side.
"And I'm guessing that you actually like him right." Yang added.
"Yes." Weiss muttered her tail swayed a little from the thought.
"Wow. Never thought I'd see the day that you're flustered about someone. It's kinda cute really." Yang said with a teasing smile on her face.
"Are you going to stand their teasing me or are you going to help me?" Weiss asked as she was starting to lose her patients with her teammate.
"Alright cool your jets. While I have been on a few dates they normally don't last for a few weeks at least for me but besides that... to be honest I'd do what comes naturally." Yang suggested.
"What comes naturally? You're not making any sense." Weiss said back.
"In short. Don't plan on how a date should go. Everyone says they want the perfect date and really their isn't. Just go with the flow okay." Yang suggested.
"Hm... that does seem rather straight forward but if you'll think it will work then I guess it's worth a try." Weiss replied.
"Yep. Oh and you most certainly want to make a good impression on him for sure. Wear something nice but nothing that's too flashy okay." Yang added.
"I'll keep that in mind. Then I guess I should go and prepare for tonight." Weiss replied.
"Good luck." Yang added as Weiss left the training area and began walking back toward the dorm room that her team will be using. Though she wondered what she should wear for tonight.

Elsewhere in Mistral the White Fang were on the move slowly but surely thanks to the terrian around them but Ilia was determined to get her people to Mistral and finally show the human race who truly is the superior race. However she wasn't a thrilled with her company at that moment however she has agreed that they too share a similar goal.
She stood on a hilltop watching as her army of brothers and sister faunus march onward to their goal and with her at the helm leading the charge.
"Enjoying the view of your people." A soft voice came behind her.
She glanced behind her to see Euryale standing behind her.
"This will mark a glorious day for all faunus around the world. To see the human race bend their knees to our might before they are finally eradicated from this world." Ilia stated firmly.
Euryale eventually joined at her side.
"You can fight your little war with the humansss. Jussst don't forget who'sss ssside your on now." Euryale hissed.
"Of course. Once Haven is finished my men and I will join you at Salems castle. Everything will go according to plan and Haven will fall. Then once the humans realize just how powerless they are to our might they'll be begging us to spare them their lifes." Ilia said.
"Remember though. We need the relic from inside the academy so we need that Raven woman alive if we are to get it." Euryale stated.
"Oh don't you worry about her." Another female voice said behind them.
They saw that it was Coco along with Tyrian and her other two teammates by her side.
"Leave her to me. I know she has a certain weakness that can be easily exploited. Her daughter Yang. Capture her and she'll cripple before you." Coco stated.
"Good but just how are you going to do that?" Ilia questioned.
"Oh not me. Lionheart will take of that himself." Coco replied as she chuckled.
"I thought we had an agreement." Synin stepped forward.
"Raven's brat is mine." Synin stated.
"And she will be. Though why not have her delievered to you and then you can do whatever you wish." Coco added.
"Very well. Just as long as I get some payback on her myself." Synin replied.
"Oh you will. Then once we've secured the relic Haven Academy will finally fall." Coco stated as she could only picture it in her mind of the academy burning to the ground and her holding the relic in her hands.
And with help from the White Fang they would certainly get what they wanted and nothing was going to stop her from achieving both her's and her queens goal.
F3: That ends chapter 21. Things are going good for the group as they are training for what's to come as the villians slowly make their way to Mistral.
