This chapter will consist of a series of events with the characters at the base. Enjoy.
The newbies to the Show Town-verse, the Ugly Duckling characters, were sitting in a circle. They were playing Uno in the main room of the base. Apollo had more cards than the rest of them. He either ended up getting his turn skipped, the turn order reversed before his turn, or having to draw more cards.
"Hate to say this, Apollo, but I'm skipping you again." Patty informed, placing down a yellow skip card.
"Are you serious?!" Apollo snapped. "This is the fifth time I've been skipped!"
"Calm down, Apollo." Said Ugly. "It's just a fun card game."
"Fun?!" Yelled Apollo. "How is this fun?! I haven't placed down a single damn card!"
"Enough of the yelling!" Ordered Mariano. "We're all here to have fun!"
"This isn't fun for me!" Apollo complained.
"Cheer up, Apollo." Said Flope. "I have a red draw two."
After he placed that card down, Patty placed down a blue draw two, much to Apollo's annoyance.
"You have got to be-" Apollo ranted.
He was cut off by a nearby telephone ringing.
"I'll get it!" Announced Ugly, as he was closest to the telephone.
As Ugly picked up the phone, Original Plucky's voice blared.
"You think you're superior to me?!" His voice came, much to Ugly's confusion.
"What are you talking about?" Ugly asked.
"I'm talking about you!" Exclaimed Original Plucky. "I've heard about you recently! You think you're so clever with your adventures?! The enchanted forest, that race, that-"
"How do you even know about those?!" Exclaimed Ugly. "I've barely been in this town and I barely know anyone here!"
"That's unimportant!" Original Plucky replied. "I've done things that could be even better than the things you did! I went to Hollywood, I was in my own movie, I was Batman, I had my own spin-off show, I'm currently travelling with Pinker Sham-"
"It's Pikachu, you girlfriend-less prick!" Came Pikachu's voice.
"Well at least unlike you, I have a girlfriend that lasts!" Exclaimed Ugly, smugly before hanging up.
"Who was that, Ugly?" Asked Patty.
"I don't know but they were rude." Ugly replied. "Anyways, let's continue playing."
"Very well." Patty replied, placing down another skip card. "Apollo is skipped again."
"Why did I ever want to marry you?" Sulked Apollo.
Meanwhile, Patra was showing Rocko pictures she took when she went to visit her parents.
"Your parents seem like nice people." Rocko said. "Although I can't help but remember that one frog couple and that "encounter" I had with the wife."
"Would you like to talk about it, honey?" Asked Patra.
"I'd rather not." Rocko replied, before deciding to change the subject. "Aren't you worried something bad might happen to your parents considering all the villains?"
"Nah. They can handle themselves." Patra replied. "Besides, a lot of the good guys are going to take them on, so I'm not worried. I know what'll take your mind off it."
She began tickling Rocko's stomach, causing him to giggle.
"You're a great wife." Smiled Rocko. "I love you so much, my sweet wife."
"Aww, I love you too." Smiled Patra, before holding his cheeks and kissing his lips, causing him to blush and reciprocate the kiss.
Meanwhile, Honey the Cat was talking to Blaze the Cat.
"So my fashion store has been going well." Informed Honey, sipping on herbal tea.
"Well, that's good." Blaze replied. "It's going well for you."
Suddenly, she felt a bit of a pain on her back.
"What's wrong?" Asked Honey.
"It might be rheumatics." Replied Blaze. "My bed in the sleeping quarters is very uncomfortable."
"A few stretches will make it better." Honey replied.
In the kitchen, Salacious B Crumb approached Princess Pong with a jug of milk while she was applying nail polish.
"I'd like to see you down this entire jug." He said. "In just one gulp."
"If you insist." Princess Pong replied. "It could be something I could do while waiting for my nails to dry."
She took the jug and downed the whole thing in one big gulp. Her stomach started making noises in seconds. She clutched her stomach and rushed to the bathroom quarters to vomit. As she ran off, a table was thrown through the wall.
"That's for making me draw thirty two cards in total!" Apollo yelled in fury.
"Darn it, Apollo!" Scolded Mariano. "You just ruined the whole game!"
"It was already ruined!" Yelled Apollo. "How did each of you have a draw four?!"
"Blame whoever shuffled the deck!" Yelled Weasel Boss.
"I thought I shuffled the deck well!" Protested Sneaky.
"Well you didn't!" Apollo yelled. "You gave everyone but me a draw four card!"
"Something tells me that we're not going to like Apollo." Salacious said to himself.
Since this chapter focused on characters at the base, the next one should focus on the characters taking on the villains. Also, a suggestion to RedHood123 for your Random Stuff: you could make a chapter detailing all the rooms in the base.
