11th of Tarsakh:

We made it back to Thornhold sometime yesterday. I'm still pretty foggy about what exactly happened after we were attacked by the tower. We had been looking for an entrance when two dire wolves came around the tower at us. The first one dropped me to the ground, I don't even want to think about the pain I felt when it sank its teeth into me. I barely had time to pray to Kelemvor for healing, when the second one finished what the first started. I blacked out from pain, blood loss, shock; I don't even know.

From what my friends tell me, Yukouth stood protectively over my body fighting off the wolves. And everyone was blown away by Israel once again. He hit the flank of one of the wolves with an orb of energy that exploded with acid. I noticed when Adralla was telling me about it, that Israel shank down in his chair behind the others, his face turning pink.

They say Elisha and Israel stabilized and mostly roused me before carrying me back to Carnath Roadhouse.

Thank you Marat for putting these people in my path.

And thank you Kelemvor for continuing to find me worthy of this path.

Today I'm finally feeling well enough to be up and about on my own. At breakfast, we discussed our next steps.

"Of course, we need to return to the tower immediately. Tomorrow if possible," I stated.

"My girl, are you sure? You're just getting up on your own. Maybe we should rest another day," Yukouth sounded uneasy.

"But what if she gets away because we delay? We can't let this necromancer continue her foul practices!" I exclaimed, possibly too loudly becasue people started to look towards us.

"I'm just not sure that's wise. I'm just trying to look out for you," Yukouth replied quietly.

Elisha jumped in, "I don't like the idea of this woman creating undead and sending them out into the world. But I'm not sure I can get us supplied for tomorrow. However, I will ask. And I also don't want to see you wounded like that again." He shuddered.

"Ok," I conceded in a calmer voice, "I'll spend today resting so I'll be ready. And if you aren't able to get us supplied, the day after won't change our plans. She will still be out there for us to find."

Adrala broke the tension with her immense smile, clapping her hands, and bouncing enough to make her braids sway. She had exciting news to tell us about the magical axes she and Israel have been researching. For the rest of breakfast, we talked about Adrala and Israel's progress in creating axes that will magically return to her. She feels like they have almost figured it out. If they aren't able to finish working on it here, they plan to bring their research on the road with us.

I regret losing my temper with Yukouth. I know he's only trying to take care of me, like my dad would. I think watching me almost die has made him very protective of me. I need to go find him and apologize.
