ALEX
I am still falling… How long have I been falling? Couldn't have been long considering how fast I'm going. Suddenly the blue flames around me intensify and in a flash I appear to be flying over a Forest valley. I try to move but some invisible force seems to have me pinned. All I can see is my Pokémon's pained face, how could I have done this to her? I should have changed direction and headed for safety for both of us!
I begin to struggle against my invisible bonds but stop when I hear a voice. "Dear child you must rest, your journey has just begun" and with those words my world fades away.
Amber
"Faster, you must go faster. He is not ready, he will need your help!" a voice pleads from the darkness.
We both stop to look around realizing that we had both heard the same thing.
"Don't stop! If you want to save the life of the one you both hold Dear then RUN!" The voice shouts seemingly out of nowhere
"Watch out, got one to your right!" Liz says as she unleashes a ice beam at an infected butterfree knocking it out of The air
"keep moving, someone must be where that meteor crashed!" I shout while nodding her thank "FB where are you, we need your support Now!
"I'm coming my lady, would be quicker if someone hadn't banned me from flying…" FB responds
With a huff, Amber says "I would let you fly if you weren't A risk of burning HALF THE VALLEY DOWN!"
"you wound me my lady you just don't understand how to make a grand entrance" FB responds indignantly.
"Just get here!, you have my permission this once to light it up!" I says
An excited laugh comes through as FB says "One grand Entrance coming right up!" And the connection drops
"Are you sure that was a good idea, I mean after what happened in the village?" Liz asks.
"No but if we are going to make it to the crash site in one piece we might need that Hyper maniacs help to get back out." I say "watch it we have more company!"
As we look back we can see an infected rhyhorn and coming up behind a full grown tyrantrum.
"Fudge" we both say in unison and take off in a dead sprint.

"Alex, come on the water won't hurt you! Lets play!'' I hear a voice and look towards the pond.
"Liz, I am a fire type. Fire and water don't really get along…" I hear myself say.
"You just don't want to get your fur wet!" Liz replies
"Do you know how long it takes to get this fur dry…" I grumble
"Well i tried, do it amber!" Liz shouts and I feel myself get shoved off the ledge and down into the pond.
I break the surface just to get splashed in the face by amber splashing down Next to me.
"You should see your fur, you look like a big hairball!" Liz giggles
"Oh You two are so dead." I say in mock seriousness as i use my large paws to send a large splash of water at liz
"Dear child touched by calamity, you must awaken. I have done all I can for your wounds but you're still in grave danger!" I ignore the voice not wanting this dream to end. "WAKE UP!" The voice shouts and I am dragged out of the dream. With a groan I try to lift my head out of the grass but it feels wrong, everything hurts. I try to lift my hand to rub at my eyes but what comes towards my face is no hand but a paw.
"what?! Why do I have a paw!" I say in confusion and begin to look at what parts of my body I can see. My school clothes are burnt to cinders and underneath them I can see thick yellow fur with a black stripe running horizontally across My legs and back.
Is this another dream? This can't be real can it? I try to stand but immediately fall back to the soft dirt muzzle first With a yelp "yep that definitely felt real"
Flame… I have to find her, I can't let her down again! "Flame, can you hear me!" I try to shout but is comes out sounding more like a bark
I listen for a response but none Come. Well I better get moving, she couldn't have landed too far away. I try to stand on my rear legs but immediately lose my balance again and barely avoid Another painful blow to my face.
"Guess I'm doing this on all fours, this is going to be annoying" I grumble. "I probably look ridiculous"
I hear a pained scream from a voice I recognize "flame i'm Coming!" I shout as I take off in a clumsy trot. I rounded a small hill to Find her pinned underneath the paws of a nidorino. The pokemon has impaled her leg with its horn.
"Hey horn head over here!" I shout trying to draw his attention. It works and the nidorinos head quickly turns my way. To my shock it's eyes are closed, it almost appears to be sleep walking.
"You… You should be dead…" The pokemon says slowly
"Well if you want to try again i'm right here ugly." I say tauntingly.
With that the big pokemon flings my poor partner across the grass then charges at me. Seeing her be thrown around and injured has broken something in me and I'm seeing red. I Scream in challenge but instead a brilliant ball of blue Flame shoots out and hits the nidorino right in the head stopping it's charge cold. Screaming the pokemon flings some spikes at me with such speed i Can't get out of the way in time as they impact My side.
"Crap that hurts!" I hiss as I stumble to the side. I regain my balance and square off against the pokemon. We are both very injured so the next hit will likely end the fight.
"Use your anger child. Funnel your emotions Into your next attack!" The voice in my head says.
"I hope you know what you are doing…" I say to myself but I do as commanded thinking Of all the pain, anger and helplessness I've felt for years. I open my mouth like last time but instead of a small ball of fire a tremendous beam of flame erupts from my muzzle impacting the nidorino and exploding. I can feel shards of trees and rock pelt me as I go flying through the air and impact a large tree. Landing in a tangle of limbs I try to make sense of what happened when I hear a rustling coming from the woods nearby. As i watch more pokemon emerge all with their eyes closed but staring at me
"Give me the shard or you will die!" they say in unison
"What shard? I have no idea what's happening, who are you?!" i question
"I am a nightmare incarnate and my master demands his shard. I will have it!" they shout and the horde charges
"Child, open yourself to me and I will aid you in this fight!" the voice in my head says
"Not like I have any choice… whatever you're going to do, do it now. Just promise me you will save Flametail!" i say. No sooner than the words left my mouth then I feel a rush of power coursing through me, So much so that I feel like I'm going to burn up. With a scream of pure agony i let all out in one large explosion

"Amber it's catching up to us, we need to do something!" i shout between ragged breaths
"FB we need you now or we are done for!" Amber shouts at her badge looking back at the tyrantrum bearing down on them.
"Dive right!" the mysterious voice says from the darkness again and with nothing else to go off of we comply
As we dodge around the tree a beam of energy lances out of the dark to hit the giant lizard. It staggers the great pokemon but doesn't slow it down much. Wait was that a hyper beam? Who is helping us?!
"Here I come, ladies prepare for the show!" we hear from our badges and we look just in time to see a large fireball streak from the sky and impact the tyrantrum dead center of its muzzle driving its face into the ground and sending it cartwheeling through the air "BOOM BABY!" we hear as well as some crazed laughing
"Amber… you did hide his berry supply right… I think he is a tad hyper today." i say in shock at the carnage wrought by our team members arrival
"At this point i don't care, FB keeps them busy, will you? We need to get to that crash site" amber says
From the smoke a shape starts to take shape. A smallish pokemon with large pointed ears in a V shape as well as large blue eyes and a small bushy tail. Our resident victini snickers "oh how you wound me milady i'll do more then keep them busy" he says as large fireballs envelop his small paws
We turn tail and run and in the already growing distance we hear FB say. "NOW WHO WANTS A PIECE OF ME?"
We are growing closer to the crash site where we can hear fighting occuring. "Someones in trouble, we need to move" amber says
Before we can go much further a large explosion rocks the entire valley uprooting trees and sending large clumps of burning wood everywhere
"Did someone self-destruct or something?" i ask in shock
"I don't know but from here we need to go silent, who knows what's out there." amber says as we both crouch low to the ground and slowly inch further in
As we move we see evidence of the fight including the feinted bodys of dreamers everywhere
"I've never seen so many of them in one place…" i say trying not to disturb any of the downed pokemon
"It's got to be because of that meteor, they must be attracted to it for some reason." amber says
As the dust begins to settle more of the area begins to become clear. Directly in front of us we can see a blue flame still burning. As we get closer it becomes clear that someone is still standing there. As visibility clears some more we see that it is a growlithe but so large it could almost be mistaken for an arcanine. The growlithe has bloody gashes all over its pelt but that isn't the most shocking thing about it. Its eyes are glowing blue as if there is pure energy pouring out of them. We don't dare to take a breath not knowing if this pokemon will be hostile. It doesn't seem to matter as the large canine's head swings towards us.
We prepare to dodge an attack but none come. The big canine just looks at us as if we are the strangest thing he has seen. As we watch the glowing energy coursing through his eyes dissipate.
"Those eyes… i know those eyes anywhere" i say as i look into the eyes of my dead brother.
"It can't be him liz, get your head into the game!"amber says but I don't hear her. My entire world has come crashing down as I can't take my eyes off of his. I see deep pain, anger, and regret. He is so close to galling unconscious but he says something in a voice I thought I would never hear again…

I am lost in a world of pain and anger. I can see pokemon flying in every direction but I am helpless to stop the carnage. Only thing I can think about is getting to my partner and making sure that she is ok. I find her curled where she was thrown, still breathing .As I try to catch my breath I catch a familiar scent on the wind and look in the direction of the source. It is there I see another two pokemon but their eyes are open and aware. My heart stops as I identify them. They are both vulpix with one being pure white and the other being the more traditional red. They are both wearing bandanas, red for the white one and white for the red one. on both of their bandanas are badges just like mine but they both have one wing blacked out almost like a broken wing.
"No way…" I say with the realization that they have to be the pokemon i've dreamed about every night for as long as i can remember. I can feel my energy fading and am struggling to stay on my feet but I eventually lose the fight. As I fall I use my Remaining energy in a final plea "please save Her" I say as darkness takes me again.
