Chapter 10 – The Princess, The Elf, The Demon and The Wanderer Part 10
The defense force and the order of the sword soldiers charged at each other screaming their battle cries. Swords and axes clanged together violently. Defense force soldiers swung their axes and dug their blades into the skulls of the order soldiers. Blood was splattering on their armor and faces as other defense force soldiers stabbed their swords in their stomachs. But the defense force wasn't completely dominant as skilled Order soldiers were slicing the throats of Defense force soldiers with ease as they parried their incoming attacks. Freya along with Koga was taking down order members with ease. Freya of course didn't just mindlessly swing her sword slavishly at her enemies. Freya was precise with her attacks. She read the enemy's movements carefully. Freya parried every incoming attack order soldiers threw her way and sliced open their stomachs. Their blood along with their organs hitting the ground as Freya slices off their head finishing him off. Sophie was ducking and swaying from enemy attacks from an order member. She avoids one attack and sliced off the arm of her assailant; then stabs him in the heart. Sophie yanks out the sword and quickly turns around. She held up her sword blocking a heavy attack that knocked her to the ground and her sword was sent flying out of her hand. The order member thrust his sword at her. Sophie rolls out of the way, takes out an arrow from her hoister, quickly gets to her feet, and stabs the arrow in the order soldier's right eye. She yanks out the arrow, loads it into a bow, and fires it into the throat of an order soldier who was attempting to stab Koga in the back. He gargles and blood was spitting out from his mouth as he falls flat on his back. "WATCH YOURSELF KOGA!" Sophie warned. "THANKS!" Koga called out to her.
An Order member charged at Koga and he swings his blade at him. Koga quickly parries the incoming attack causing the order soldier to stumble back. Koga grips his sword and slices the Order member in two. Koga grabs the sword from the slain Order soldier and sprints towards a crowd of Order Soldiers. Koga, duel wielding two swords begins cutting down each Order member that got in his way. A swift cut in the throat, two heads cut off, a vertical cut on one, then a barrage of cuts on another. Out of the corner of Koga's right eye, he could see a sword heading straight for his head. He leans back, avoiding the blade as a strand of his hair was cut. "So close!" said Hector with a grin on his face. Koga would maneuver around Hector's blades, he spins and swings his blade near Hector. Hector holds up his arm and the blade hits it with a KLANG. Koga looked at Hector's arm confused. Then he realizes that he was wearing metal gauntlets. Hector shoves away Koga's sword and swings his sword at Koga. Koga blocks his attack, and the two began their dual. Koga was on the offensive. Hector was able to block most of Koga's attacks but Koga's aggressiveness mixed with his skill of the blade was beginning to push Hector back. "Just as I expected!" Thought Hector. "Strong, swift, no mercy. It's the reason why I recruited you, Koga!"
As Koga swings his second sword at Hector. Hector grasp the sword with his bare hands. "Idiot," Koga thought. "You want to lose your fingers huh? FINE!" Koga attempted to pull away..but he couldn't. "WHAT?"
That's when Koga took a good look at Hector's hand. His arm wasn't the only thing that was wrapped up in some metal plating. Hector's hand was wrapped in a metal glove. Hector crushes the middle of the blade breaking it in half. Koga was now back to only using one short sword. "Great, armored gloves…" Thought Koga as he glared down Hector.
"I love wearing these!" said Hector happily. "It's good for when I need to put some fool in their place. Sometimes cutting or killing doesn't do the trick."
Koga scuffs and holds his sword with both hands and points it at Hector. The two of them would continue their fight. Sparks fly from their blades.
Freya was on the look for Lavander. She cuts, stabs, and beheads anyone that got in her way. "WHERE ARE YE? COME OUT AND FACE ME YOU PURPLED-HAIRED COW!" She bellowed as she slashed her way through more order soldiers. Freya had this weird feeling that went up to her spine. Freya turned around and moves her head to the right, narrowly dodging a thrust attack from Lavander's rapier that left a shallow scratch on her cheek. Lavander slowly lowered it with a smirk. "Ooooh! I almost got you there!" Lavander said with a giggle.
Freya rubs her cheek a bit of blood on her hand. She then noticed that her cheek went numb and she felt light-headed. Freya shook it off and then she started feeling a pain in her wounded cheek.
"Hmm…If I had stabbed you the poison would be in full effect by now. A shallow cut won't don't anything sadly…" Lavander said disappointedly. "Aren't you worried? Your friend and all of those citizens are dying a slow death right now. And it's not peaceful I can assure you."
Freya grits her teeth and she gives a fierce glare to Lavander.
Bean, Elfo, and Luci were just watching all of the Choas unfold from their hiding spot. Bean covered her eyes as she watched men get decapitated, stabbed, or brutally beaten. "This is insane!" She cried, as Elfo just covered his eyes with his ears.
"THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!" said Luci excitedly. As a head of Order Soldier came rolling near them. "NOICE!"
Beans focus was placed on Lavander and Freya's fight. Freya was on the heavy offensive pushing Lavander back. But even If Lavander was getting pushed back she didn't seem to be in a state of panic or intimidated by Freya's assault. As Freya continued pressure Lavander-Lavader dodges one of Freya's attacks and thrust her rapier forward. The blade pierces Freya's right shoulder. Freya grunts as she backs away holding her wound. "D-DAMN IT!" She groaned stepping back. Freya began losing feeling in her right arm. Lavander took this opportunity to attack and thrust her rapier at Freya. Freya uses her free hand to block Lavander's advances. Now Freya was the one on the ropes. Lavander rushes forward thrust. Her rapier pierces through the air and stands Freya in her left shoulder. "ARGH!" She groaned as she fell to the ground.
"I GOT YOOOOU!" Cheered Lavander as she rushes forward-cocks back her arm and she was ready to finish off Freya. Suddenly, Lavander felt a metal object crash into her face. The shards of a metal glass mug fell to the ground and Lavander stumbles back. "OOOW!" Lavander whined as she rubs her face.
"HEY, YOU LONG-NOSE SKANK!" Bean called out in fury. "COME AND FIGHT ME AND SEE HOW LONG YOU LAST!"
Lavander's right eye was cut and the blood trickled down her face. She glared at Bean and then smirked: "Well well well, the little princess wants to play eh?" She said walking over to her.
"P-Princess?" Freya thought. As she writhes in agony as the poison began to set in.
Bean looks around on the ground till she finds a sword. Bean hurries and picks up the sword and she points it at Lavander. Lavander steps forward-thrust, and Bean sways to the left dodging. Bean would try and find an opening but it was difficult. Lavander was going for a critical hit on her and Bean knew this. It didn't help that Lavander's blade was coated in poison which caused Bean to second guess going in for an attack. Lavander would begin to thrust her rapier again, and again and again, till bean was put on the defensive. Bean was then pinned against the wall and Lavander thrust her rapier at Bean. Bean was dodge each one till Lavander gives good thrust of her rapier and Bean dodges. Her rapier hits the wall, bends, and snaps in two. "OH DAMN IT!" She cried.
Bean took this opportunity to punch Lavander hard in her face knocking her to the ground. Lavander lets out a groan and she slowly goes into unconsciousness.
"Well…" Beans pants "Looks like you couldn't handle me for long huh?"
"WAY TO GO BEAN!" Elfo cheered on.
Bean hurries over to Freya to check on her "Hey! Are you ok?!" She asked frantically.
Freya was twitching and blood began spitting out from her mouth. Bean began to panic as she held Freya in her arms. She looked around to see if anyone could help but everyone was too busy in a bloody battle.
"BEAN OVER HERE!" said Elfo. Beans turned around and saw Elfo fishing around in Lavander's coat and found a bottle full of purple liquid "THIS HAS TO BE THE ANTIDOTE!"
"HURRY BRING IT OVER HERE!"
Elfo hurries over to the two of them and he opens the bottle. "Ok um…am I supposed to pour it over the wound or-" Freya snatches the bottle out of his hand "OH JUST GIVE IT HERE!" She said in a raspy tone as she drinks a bit of it. She coughed and begins gagging a bit. "THAT TASTES TERRIBLE!" She coughed some more.
"But is it helping?!" Bean asked worriedly.
Freya began to cough harder "I-I-It doesn't' work immediately I just need to…relax…" She shuffles herself up against the wooden wall of a building and breathes slowly. "Ye were great out there by the way…" She smiled at Bean. "For a princess…"
Bean's eyes widened a bit. She chuckles nervously "Hahaha…w-what are you talking about?"
"I heard that purpled-haired bitch over there…" Freya looked at Bean and smirked a bit "Ye had me fooled…Rebel princess."
Bean blushed at this but then smiled. "I guess the cats out of the bag…" She replied softly.
Back at the battle. The Defense force was pushing the Order back. The Order was getting tired and the numbers were dwindling. The fight between Koga and Hector was still raging. The two of them were at this point fighting for almost half in an hour. Hector had scars around his face, arms and legs. Koga had scars around his chest, arms, and legs but showed no sign of slowing down. Hector was out of breath. He was beginning to slow down and Koga took notice of this. "It's time to finish him off…" Thought Koga. As soon as he was about to go for the final strike-right behind Hector-he saw Freya with her back against the wall with her bleeding wounds.
"Freya?" said Koga in shock.
It was this one moment Hector took advantage of Koga's slight distraction thrust his sword forward into Koga's right side. Koga grunts and he looks down at the wound in his stomach. Bean's eyes widened and she gasped. "KOGAAAAAA!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Freya looked over at Koga in horror. Hector had a malicious grin across his face as he tried sliding the blade deeper into his right side. "Die you self-righteous bastard!" Hector growled. Koga snaps his eyes onto Hector "Self-Righteous huh?" He said glaring into Hector's eyes.
"THAT'S RIGHT!" Hector shouts as he yanks his sword out of Koga and slashes his twice across his chest leaving deep scars. "YOU THINK YOU'RE SO DAMN INVINCIBLE! I'LL SHOW EVERYONE IN THIS DAMN TOWN THAT YOU'RE NO BETTER THAN THE DIRT I WALK ON!"
"Are you done?" asked Koga. As the blood from his wounds leaks down his upper body. Koga didn't look phased at all by his injuries and Hector looked at him as though he was some sort of monster. Koga drops the other sword and he grips the other with both of his hands. "Come on…let's finish this Hector…"
As the two stood there the noise of the battle began to die down. The Defense force was beginning to chase off the Order and even finish off a few of them. Hector grips his sword tightly in his hand. He knew there was no way out of this one. It was over.
"Yeah…let's end this Koga…"
Koga held up his sword in a stance. Hector did the same. "Tell me Koga…what're you going to do with that key?"
"Nothing," Koga stated.
Hector chuckled "That's just like you Koga. You have so much strength and yet you don't think ahead. Don't you want to get stronger as you are now? Don't you want more power?"
"No I don't," Koga said simply
Hector scuffs "Of course…" He holds up his sword. "Come on…"
Koga charged forward quickly. Hector readied for a swing and does so. Koga's sword collides with Hector's and Koga's blade slices Hector's sword in two. Koga's sword would then slice through Hector's stomach going through his chainmail. Blood along with bits of his organs slide out to the ground. Blood began leaking from Hector's mouth as he just stood there holding his broken blade.
"Well…damn…" said Hector as he drops to his knees and doubles over. Blood pouring to the ground.
The remaining order soldiers looked over at Hector with horrified expressions. "H-HECTORS DOWN! HECTORS DOWN!" One of them cried. "IT'S OVER!" Order soldiers dropped their swords and they began to run.
"THAT'S RIGHT YOU COWARDS RUN! RUNAWAY!" Sophie screamed at them.
The defense force team all shout in victory as they held their swords high into the air. "WE DID IT! VICTORY IS OURS!" Citizens who were hiding and watching the battle from their homes all came out in celebration.
"WOHOOO!" Bean shouts in celebration. "HELL YEAH! AWESOME!" Bean placed her eyes back on Koga. Her smile soon faded. Koga just stood there before he finally fell flat on his back. Freya, despite her weakened state, called out to Koga, managed to get to her feet, and hurried over to Koga's side. Bean, Elfo, and Luci joined in. Sophie had ordered
"KOGA! OH MY GOD HANG IN THERE!" Freya whimpered. "WE'LL GET SOMEONE TO COME TO AID YE SOON! JUST STAY WITH US!"
Koga places his green eyes upon Freya. For Koga, it had been so long since he'd seen her look so panicked. "It's not true Freya…" He whispered to her.
"What are ye talking about?" Freya said with a cracked voice.
"When I left…the first thing that popped into my head was you. You, along with everyone here. Sophie, Archie, Barbara, Fergus, everyone. There wasn't a single day when I was alone on my travels that I thought about everyone…especially you Freya…"
Freya was at a loss for words. She couldn't believe….that Koga was saying all of this.
"I'm not good at telling people how I feel…" Koga continued. "It's not in my nature…and because of that, I hurt you…I'm sorry Freya…"
"Oh, Koga…" Freya said gently as the tears began to glide down her cheeks. "Please…it's fine just save ye breath!" She wipes her eyes. "Stop talking like ye won't make it!"
Koga just smiled. "You know…It's nice seeing this fragile side of you. It's nice…change…of pace…" Koga then closed his eyes and his head slightly turned the right.
"K-Koga?" Bean whispered.
Freya shook Koga "Koga…say something!" She continued to shake him frantically.
"KOGA!" Freya screamed at the top of her lugs.
Her voice echoed throughout the town.

Hey folks. I'm sorry, this chapter took so long to get done. My mind has not been in a good place at the end of November and the start of December. But I'm slowly getting better. I do hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'll get work on the next one soon.
