Chapter 15 – The Princess, The Elf, The Demon, and The Wanderer Part 15
"Come on...COME OOOOOON!" Bean groaned as she held out her hands and wiggled her fingers. Once nothing was coming out she let out a loud groan then looks at her hands. "Oh give me a break already!" She said in an annoyed tone. Elfo looks over at Bean with a worried look "I think you should try practicing that another time…I mean whatever magic you do have it's VERY destructive!" He said smiling nervously. Bean sighed and looked at Elfo "Yeah you're right…I don't even know what I'm doing…"
"Yeah I don't need to be blasted with finger magic thank you. I saw enough of that with the ugly ass witch," Koga said followed by a slight flinch. That last bout had slightly opened up his wounds.
"You wouldn't have made it worse if you didn't bury that dead guy back there," said Luci as he laid on his back and took a chug of beer from the bottle. "
"What did you expect me to do just leave his body lying there?" Koga said as he looks over at Luci.
"Yes," Luci replied bluntly.
The group along with former captive witch hostages were all traveling down the dirt trail. The captives, Edger and Melvin laid out in the back of the cart as they rested softly. Bean, Elfo, and Luci were all sitting at the front of the wagon with Koga. Elfo looks over at Luci with a disapproving expression "Jeez Luci you're so toxic! I think it was sweet how Koga wanted to give him a proper burial," He said as he looked up at Koga with admiration in his eyes.
"Thank you!" said Koga smiling proudly "You could you learn a thing or two from Elfo Luci."
"HA! As if! I got nothing to learn from a little goody-two-shoes Elf!" said Luci as he blows some smoke at Koga which caused him to cough. "I think we need a new cat Bean…" Koga said as he glared at Luci. Luci looks back at him with a devilish grin that was followed by an evil chuckle. Koga and Elfo looked over at Bean. Bean was just staring at her hands as she moved her fingers around.
"You shouldn't pry too much on it," said Koga as he placed his eyes back on the road.
"It's just weird is…" said Bean "I never knew I had this in me. It just makes me wonder if my mom had these powers…"
"Well, where else would you get them. Did your mom use to do magic?" Elfo asked as he dangled his legs at the front of the wagon.
"I don't know," Bean shrugged "I never knew too much about my mom when I was little…"
Elfo frowned. "Well like Koga said maybe we'll find out more about it along our travels!" Elfo would then smile at Bean. Bean looked over at Elfo and returned the smile "Yeah you're right. I need to focus on the path ahead for right now!" She said happily. "And to help me with that focus! I need a drink!" Bean would turn around to get a bottle from their supply bag only to find out the two men were drinking it. The two of them paused and stared at Bean for a moment before one of them said "Umm…we were really thirsty…" said one on the left. Then the one on the right said "We haven't had anything to eat after you know…getting tortured by an evil witch?"
Luci glared "And you two can walk the rest of the way…" He said in a frustrated tone.
"No need," said Koga "We're pulling up on the next town now. Leafwood."
The group had arrived in the town of Leafwood and they parked their wagon. The two men get off the back of the wagon and turned to the traveling pair. "Thank you all for saving us. And thank you for burying our friend." One of them said.
"Of course," said Koga "You two find good treatment and stay safe." And with that, the two men had left.
"Alright, guys what all did they get?" Koga asked turning to them.
Luci and Elfo looked around on the wagon. Elfo picks up an empty bag "The loaves of bread gone, apples are gone, annnnnd…" Elfo picks up the empty bottle of beer. "they drank all the beer."
"Goddamn it!" Bean kicked the wagon.
"Yeah Koga the next time you wanna be nice and I tell you to kick them off the wagon," Luci hops onto Koga's shoulders "Kick them off the damn wagon."
Koga grabs Luci by the head and chucks him into a barrel "Ok Guys we got enough gold. Let's mingle around and get some supplies." He said as reached into the wagon and grabs his sword. "In one hour we come back to the wagon and-" Koga turns around and sees Bean and Elfo gone. "Those jackasses…" He huffed.
"A Princess, An Elf, a demon and wandering swordsmen…" said Nicholas as he watched them all in the shadows. Koga snaps his eyes in the direction of where Nicholas was hiding. Nicholas made sure to keep himself hidden well before Koga grabs some empty bags and headed on his way. "You're supposed to be strong right? I can't wait to test that out…" He whispered.

Bean, Elfo, and Luci walked down the streets of Leafwood. Bean was keeping her eyes open for the nearest bar they could find. "Ugh it feels like ages already since we had a drink," Bean said as she looked around at all of the stores they passed by.
"Do you think it was ok to ditch Koga like that?" asked Elfo.
"Nah he'll be fine," said Luci
"Whenever he's ready to go he knows where to find us," said Bean with a smile on her face.
"You're going to let him do all the shopping while we get drunk aren't you?" said Elfo looking up at Bean.
"YUP!" Bean nods with a big grin on her face. "And speaking of getting drunk!" She points forward at a bar. Bean runs towards the bar and as Elfo was catching up with them he hears someone trying to get his attention. "Huh?" He turns towards the dark alleyway.
"Hey little Elf!" said a soft female voice.
"Umm…" Elfo rubs his chin. "You're one of those strangers! Ok, so where's my candy?"
"Oh, I don't have time for this!" The woman grabs Elfo from around the corner and stuffs him into a bag. "That's one down…two more to go…" The women stepped up out of the shadows. Her hair was a dark shade of red and she wore silver paladin armor. She walks over to the bar window. Bean and Luci head over to the bar stools to sit down. Bean looks around and notices that Elfo was missing "Wait where's Elfo?"
Luci shrugs "Hell if know," He said as he didn't pay too much attention to if Elfo was around.
"He was just behind us when we were about to head into the bar," Bean turns around and looks out the bar window. The red-headed woman held up the bag for Bean to see and Bean gasped "ELFO!" She said as she hops off the barstool and runs outside. The red-headed woman ran into the alley and Bean follows closely behind. Luci leaves out the bar "I DIDN'T EVEN GET A CHANCE TO GET A DRINK!" he shouts as he followed Bean.
Bean makes a few turns around the corner as she stayed close to the red-headed woman. "GIVE ELFO BACK!" She screamed.
"You'll have to catch me first!" The red-haired women
Bean and Luci sprint down the pathways till they meet a dead end. Bean and Luci stop dead in their track when they ran into a wall of men wearing silver armor. The red-haired woman named Agatha smirked at her. "Hello Princess Tiabeanie," She took out a knife and held it to the bag "Do your elf friend a favor and don't take another step…"
"W-Who the hell are you people?!" Bean said aggressively
"Don't worry about deary…just do what we say and no one gets hurt…" said Agatha with a grin.

Koga lets out a deep groan as he carried a bag of supplies in his arms. "Those idiots leaving me to do all of the shopping while they head to the bar to get drunk!" He ranted under his breath. "I swear I'm not doing this again. The next time we arrive at another town I'm going to be the one to sit back and relax and THEY'LL do the supply shopping!" He then thought about it "On second thought they'd probably screw that up too…"
As Koga walked down to the street he sees the bar where the others went to. Koga of course knew they were probably in there and was about to head inside when he heard two people outside the bar talking. "Hey, some redheaded girl snatched up so green little kid and put him into a bag." The man said, "The girl with the white hair chased after them along with their cat."
Koga stops dead in his tracks and turns to them. Koga dropped all he had and walked over to the man then grabs him by the color of his shirt "WHICH WAY DID THEY GO? TELL ME!"
The man stuttered before pointing over to the alley that Bean and Luci went. Koga shoves aside the man and sprints down the alleyway. The pain from his wounds was beginning to act up as he did this but he didn't care. He had to get to the trio as fast as he could. That's when he heard Bean shouting from the distance. "LET ME GO! GODDAMN, IT LET ME GOOO!" She screamed. "KOGAAAA!"
"BEAN!" Koga called out to her as she heads towards the direction of her voice. A few horses road out the opposite exit of the alleyway and Koga sprints down the trail after them. "BEAN, ELFO, LUCI, JUST HOLD ON I'M COMING!" He shouts as he looks to the left seeing a man hopping on a horse. He rushes over and shoves him off and hops onto the saddle. "Sorry! I'll bring him back!" He said as the man shouted, "Hey my horse!" As Koga road off after them. The chase would go on for a good 8 minutes before Koga would catch up to them on a grassy hillside. Behind them was a cliff that lead to a large stream.
"About time you all showed up…" said Nicholas. Nicholas was as tall as Koga and he wore silver armor. He had two axes that he carried on his back. His head balled and had scars around his face and head.
"Oh please! We would've been gone by now if you didn't want to have some stupid duel!" said Agatha pouting.
"Forgive my selfishness, Agatha. Thank you so much for leading him here." Nicholas said as he rubbed her cheek as he walked by her.
Koga gets off his horse panting as he glared over at Nicholas who was walking towards him. "It's pleasure to meet you, Koga! I've heard a lot about you!" He said cheerfully. Koga wasn't having any of it "Let them go right now…and all of you can walk away with your lives…"
Nicholas just chuckles "My apologies Koga but it's not going to be that easy. You see I'm here on a mission to collect these three. From what I know that was your job to bring Princess Tiabeanie and this Elf back to dreamland. But it seems as though you decided to Kidnap them and have them all to yourself."
"HE DIDN'T KIDNAP ME!" Bean interrupted "WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THEM! AND I'M NOT GOING BACK TO DREAMLAND!"
"YEAH!" Elfo said, "KOGA IS GOING TO KICK YOU IN YOUR BALLED AND SHINY HEAD!"
"So anyone here wanna place any bets?" Luci asked. "Anyone? Anyone at all?"
"Luci oh my god now is not the time…" Bean sighed.
Koga unsheathed his sword and points it at Nicholas. Nicholas smirks and reaches around his back and grabs his two axes. Koga was surprised to see that there was also a chain that was wrapped around the hilt of the axes. "Chain axes?" Koga said in his head. "Great…now I have to do a lot more Dodging..." Koga was wincing a bit as he thought about the wounds on his body that haven't healed yet. "Damn it Luci was right…all that moving around was a bad idea…"
Nicholas stared at Koga "Something wrong? You don't too well Wanderer…"
"Shut up," Koga shot back. "Let's just get this over with…" Koga knocks the thought of his wounds and focuses on getting the trio back. "I gotta end this quick…go for the head…and once he's done I quickly take out the rest…"
"KOGA DON'T LET HIM AIM FOR YOUR WOUNDS!" Elfo called out.
"ELFO!" Bean shouted at him.
"THAT STUPID ELF!" Koga shouts in his head.
Nicholas just laughs "Oh no need to worry. I know all about the battle you had with the order. Unfortunately, you have to face me when you're at your weakest. I won't hold back." He said as he drops his as and catches it by the chain. He then began spinning the chained ax as it picks up speed. Nicholas chucks the ax at Koga. Koga moves to the left Dodging the ax as he cuts a shred of his hair. Nicholas yanks the chain forward and the ax fly's towards Koga from behind him. Koga turns around seeing the ax fly his way again and he moves again dodging it. But Nicholas had closed in the gap between them by charging at Koga and he catches the ax in his hand swings both of his axes down at him. Koga holds up his sword blocking it and he grunts at the weight. Nicholas grins "Just how bad are your injuries?" He asked as he kicked Koga in the chest. Koga let out a shout of pain as he stumbled back. That kick opens up the two slash wounds that were on his chest that Hector gave him. Nicholas rushes forward and he hits Koga with the blunt end of his ax across Koga's head leaving a deep cut that split him open. Koga would fall to the ground flat on his back dazed and in much pain.
Nicholas would walk over to Koga and stare down at him with a disappointed look on his face "How pitiful. I thought you would at least give me a better fight even while injured." He raises his leg and stomps on Koga's left side where Hector had stabbed him. Koga let out another shout of pain as Nicholas would do this over and over.
"Oh my god…" Elfo said in horror.
"Stop…" said Bean as she looked on with horror on her face as well. "STOP JUST STOP IT ALREADY! WE'LL GO! TAKE US BACK TO DREAMLAND! JUST LEAVE HIM ALONE!" She cried while tears formed in her eyes.
Nicholas gave one more stomp to Koga's chest and twist his armored foot into Koga's chest wound. Koga's blood had seeped through his outfit staining completely. "No need to scream princess. I was done anyway," He said as he placed his ax back behind his back. "But…as for your friend here…" Nicholas kneels picks up Koga and tosses him around his shoulder.
"W-What're you doing?" Bean asked watching him "Put him down!"
"Your friend his is a nuisance. We can't have him coming back," Nicholas said as he stood over the cliffside. "This is where the tale of Koga the wanderer ends…" He said as he drops over the cliff.
"NOOOOOO!" Bean cried
"KOGA!" Elfo cried as well.
"And…done," said Nicholas as he dust his hands
Bean was fixated on the spot where Koga was dropped. "Koga…no…" She said as tears dropped glides down her cheeks.
"Well…this was fun while it lasted…" said Luci "I guess…we're going back home."
"Bean…I'm so sorry…" said Elfo looking at her.
Bean lowered her head and she closed her eyes "Forget it Elfo…I guess this is just my destiny…I was never meant for this kind of stuff…I guess I'll always just be a princess for some fabulous faraway kingdom…and nothing else…"
"Oh, bean…" Tears began to drop from Elfo's eyes as he hung his head low.
The crew all got back on their horses and Bean gave one last look at the Cliffside. She sniffled and wipes her eyes "Koga…if you can hear me…I'm so sorry…this is all my fault. I never meant to get you killed. I'm so sorry…" She whispered as tears continued to fall. "Goodbye Koga…"
"Alright men let's move!" said Nicholas "To Dreamland we go!"
