3RD PERSON POV
Sting walked into his lone, and empty home, he removed his giant fur coat and threw it to the wayside. He undid his shirt as he waltzed into the majestic living room; the living room was decorated with a Sabertooth fur rug on the ground, soft red carpet, he stood before his 7ft mirror and let out a large sigh.
He gently rubbed the scar above his eye and stared into the empty mirror as he worked down the buttons on his pristine shirt. A few scars ran along his chest, at the top of his abs was a large scar that seemed to be impaled but has healed now.
He felt himself get cold as he ran along the smooth pink scar, he could almost feel that sharp blade tearing through his skin like it all happened yesterday. He let out a small sigh as he looked up at the mirror and saw how scarred his body was.
His eyes had lost their glint and he began to fall into a state of remembering where everything went wrong.
His memories began to flicker, all crystal clear moments of where everything went wrong. He began to reenact the very moments as he began to tear his expensive shirt apart and raise his hands in front of himself slowly as if he was defending himself.
He began, "Seriously..."
Flashback
"This is all just a big misunderstanding, let's calm down here-."
A vase smashed beside Sting's head, the sound rang through his eardrums as a small shard shot past his eyebrow, the shard just passed his brow and slightly cut him as he shielded himself from the smashed vase.
As the vase fell to the floor, littering the floor with its broken shards, Sting looked back up with a scared expression as a white-haired young woman backed up next to him.
"I saw you two curled up on the bed together! What were you two about to do!? Make out?!"
Sting waved his hands frantically in front of him, "Seriously, you've got the wrong idea, babe! You just came in here acting all crazy-."
"Do NOT call me crazy when you're the one here who is blatantly cheating,"
"Who is cheating? I'm not cheating!" Sting waved his arms frantically as he continued to back away from the young woman in front of him.
The white-haired woman started up as well to give the woman an understanding, "Besides, we've laid on the bed together ever since we were kids, it's nothing new-."
"You're lying!" The woman roared with certainty which made Sting and the white-haired woman jump with their hands in front of them.
The woman then continued, "There is no reason for a man to have a girl best-friend when he already has a girlfriend! I'm technically your girl best friend! Your only girl best friend! Not her! You're just covering up the fact that you're cheating on me with her,"
The woman clenched her teeth together as she stepped forward, and the shine of the knife in her hand glimmered which made the white-haired woman scream and scramble behind Sting who held his hands out to stop the woman.
"Okay, you need to chill out, okay?! We weren't doing shit, I promise you!" Sting became more stern, "We were searching something together onlin-."
"Stop lying to me!" The woman swiped at Sting with the knife and managed to cut him in the chest.
He winced and touched his chest, he looked down and saw the blood as the white-haired came to inspect his chest and gently touch him.
"Stop touching him!" The woman shouted at the white-haired woman who somewhat took a stance.
"Can't you see that you're hurting him, you crazy psycho!" The white-haired woman stood in front of Sting.
"He's my boyfriend, isn't he?! I own him, so I can do whatever I want with him," The woman roared in response, "Sting... just admit that you were and have been cheating on me. You don't need a woman best friend when you have me,"
"Stop acting nuts, babe!? Seriously, I love you, and only you, Yukino is just one of my best friends, seriously," Sting shouted aloud in a pleasing yet angered tone, "Let's just put the knife down and talk, okay? Please?"
"Please..."
End of Flashback
"Please." Sting said aloud.
He snapped back into reality and looked around at his refurbished home; no smashed vases, no crazy bitch - just him.
He raised his hand to his face, "For fuck sake, not again..."
He walked into his open kitchen and turned on the cold water, smacking the freezing liquid on his face, he rested his arms on the edge of the sink and let out a sigh.
"Why do I even wanna see her again, anyways?" Sting asked himself, remaining in silence as the water filled the sink, then went down the drain.
"You were weird and crazy, and because you were my first girlfriend, I didn't know how to feel about it, but now, I realise that you and I need to be together," Sting closed the tap and removed his tattered shirt completely from his body.
He walked back to where the mirror was and gently traced his scars with his fingers, he chuckled and looked into the mirror, "Where did Loke work again...? Fairy Tail Corp, right? I might visit,"
Elsewhere...
Natsu remained in the backseat behind Lucy after Igneel had demanded, not offered, DEMANDED that he drove so he could exercise his lazy bones - which made no sense to the pinkette, but it was just his father trying to show off or make sure he still has the pinkette wrapped around his finger in front of the blonde.
Despite Natsu's thoughts, Igneel and Lucy seemed to get along, and if Igneel gets along with somebody, he'll talk for hours on end with them.
Which earned Natsu the ticket to ride in the backseat whilst Igneel and Lucy bickered on about work, Natsu's mom, and much more. Lucy learned so much more about Natsu's childhood - from Igneel's lens anyway, and Igneel learned almost everything about Natsu's job, what he does, and how he does it, all from Lucy.
Natsu did want to keep his job hidden from his father, but he couldn't help to smile at the blonde as she talked so greatly about him and how the office couldn't operate without him. Even though he couldn't quite see what she saw in him from the others at the office, he somewhat enjoyed hearing her speak about him through her lens.
A few hours and minutes later, Igneel spoke with his rough, deep tone as he turned into a driveway with grass cut neatly on either side, "We are here,"
"Where are we, Mr Dragneel?" Lucy asked Igneel as she undid her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.
Natsu followed as he opened the backseat door behind Lucy hesitantly, he stepped out and stared up at the two-story house with disdain.
"You should be able to answer that." Igneel turned to Natsu with a glare.
Lucy could feel the bitterness in the air when Igneel asked Natsu a question.
The whole ordeal between Natsu and Igneel made Lucy kind of uncomfortable as she remained quiet and only spoke when spoken to, she would regularly glance at Natsu every time Igneel said or asked him a question, only to see more stress on his face than the time that he works at the office.
She hated it.
She hates it when he stresses out at work because of Loke or Erza, and this situation is no better.
A sweat drop ran down the side of the pinkette's head, he hesitated to answer in the presence of the blonde. Natsu scratched the back of his neck, "We are at a friend's house, that's all,"
"A friend of yours?" Lucy hugged Natsu's arm and pressed herself against Natsu, she wanted to at least cheer him up whilst they were here, but it was obvious that Igneel's general presence scared the living daylights out of Natsu, and Lucy hated to see Natsu this way.
She liked it when he smiled, that big white toothy grin is what she searched for on his face. Even if she only got to see glimpses of Natsu's smile, she wanted to see it all the time, no matter what.
Natsu remained still for a moment as he stared into her eyes, but wasn't perturbed by her actions.
"You could say that..." Natsu walked out of Lucy's grip and up to the stone path that led to the front door.
Igneel and Lucy followed behind, as Natsu began to knock on the great white door. It only took a few seconds before some small feet were heard scampering towards the door. The door soon opened and Natsu was greeted by a blonde child that he knew all too well.
"UNCLE NATSU!" The small child shouted with both surprise and happiness, he looked to be around 4 years old.
Natsu couldn't even hold a glare for a second before a smile curled onto his face, "Hey, August, you're getting big, aren't ya?"
Natsu kneeled and ruffled the boy's head before the child was picked up by a small lady who had her long hair wrapped in a ponytail with multiple bands on it.
"Natsu~! My dear, brother-in-law, how nice it is to see you again, you barely visit us," The small woman held her son in her arms as August smiled happily. The boy soon pointed up at the tall man behind Natsu which made the woman look up in shock, "Igneel! You're here!"
"Mavis Vermillion, my dear daughter-in-law, how wonderful it is to see you again," Igneel smiled from ear to ear as he pushed past Natsu with no effort, "I believe you are doing well these days,"
"With this little man growing up so fast and running around the place, you could say that. He was a nightmare two years ago," Mavis pouted as she gently let August go by placing him down, and the boy soon scampered off elsewhere into the house.
"Oh trust me, I know how hard it is to take care of children, especially when they are all boys," Igneel laughed loudly as he smacked Natsu in the chest, the pinkette slightly moved back from the impact and gritted his teeth.
"Yeah..." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and glared down at the ground.
As Igneel and Mavis walked side by side into the house, Natsu and Lucy stepped in and locked the door behind them. She instinctively held Natsu's hand and smirked, "Uncle Natsu... Brother-in-law... is there something you're not telling me, Natsu?"
Natsu gulped and looked elsewhere, "I may have... another sibling, but I don't like to recognise him... it's complicated,"
Due to how he's been acting the whole afternoon, she wasn't surprised, "I understand, you should have just said so,"
Lucy reached up and kissed his cheek, instantly making the pinkette blush as he looked over to the side with a smile creeping up on his face.
He sighed, "I didn't think you'd understand..."
"We are no longer teenagers, Natsu. Of course, I'd understand. I'm the only one who probably does," Lucy smiled cheerfully as she held his hand tighter.
"Meh, I mean, there's also Lisanna who does..." Natsu added with a smile, which made the blonde frown all of a sudden, "After all, she's been in my life the longest-"
Lucy cut in with no hint of an apology, "She may be your best friend, but now you have a girlfriend,"
"Self-proclaimed," Natsu raised a brow at Lucy, who chuckled and stepped forward as she rested her hands on her chest.
"So when we were making out that night, did you not feel a spark between us?" Lucy teased him as the pinkette just laughed and blushed profusely, "You sure did enjoy squeezing my breasts,"
Natsu rubbed the back of his neck, "Ugh, now that you say that, I apologise for that. I was drunk... I didn't know what I was doing that night. "
"Hmm, drunk or not, I wouldn't have stopped you," Lucy smiled as a tint of pink appeared on her cheeks and she continued walking in the direction where Mavis and Igneel went.
"You wouldn't...?" Natsu asked with a rather stunned expression on his face as Lucy glanced over her shoulder and winked at him.
"Come on, keep up," Lucy chuckled which made the pinkette shake his head lightly and quickly catch up.
