Author's Note: This is, hands-down, my all-time favorite episode of Total Drama. I just really love Chef Hatchet, lmao.
Anyways, this chapter was a blast to write, so I can only hope that you guys enjoy it as well.
Not much else to say right now, so I'll go right to the reviews.
Dunsparce519: Guess we'll have to find out.
richboylion: No comment.
Guest: Thank you!
Well then, sit back and enjoy!
"Last time on Total Drama Island, the teams were given three challenges that tested their trust in their teammates. Mikan learned the hard way that she shouldn't be near explosives, ever, and Leon got the bad end of a blowfish, courtesy of his own crappy cooking. Meanwhile, Ryoma and Kaede had an interesting conversation that Celestia eavesdropped on. Wonder how that'll play out..."
Chris chuckled as the camera showed him standing at the docks. "In the end, Mikan was the one sent packing after breaking her arm in a freak accident. Stay tuned for the most dramatic campfire ceremony yet on...
Total...
Drama...
Island!"
Episode Eleven: Basic Straining
The episode opened on a normal sunny day on Jabberwock Island, before panning the market. There, Rantaro was idly glancing through the shelves. He turned around to examine the shelves opposite him, and that's when he noticed Maki standing there.
"Oh hey, Maki," Rantaro greeted, giving her a small wave. "What's up?"
"Nothing much," she replied, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "I did want to ask you something, though."
"Shoot."
"I remember you saying... You said you wanted to be my friend. Why?"
A small smile appeared on his face as he said, "Well, you seem like a pretty cool girl. Between your physical prowess and baking skills, it would be a crime not to befriend you. Plus, no offense, you kinda look like you need one."
Besides the slight downturn of her lips at the last sentence, Maki didn't react much to Rantaro's answer. "Well, you wouldn't be wrong. I haven't really made any friends since I got here."
"In that case, I don't think it would hurt to try making one, yeah? What've you got to lose?"
Maki stared at Rantaro for a long moment, then sighed. "Fine. I guess I can try this "whole" friend thing. I wouldn't get your hopes up, though."
Rantaro chuckled. "As long as you try your best, that's good enough for me."
As Maki opened her mouth to respond, the monitors came to life. However, instead of the expected voice of Chris echoing through, the booming voice of Chef Hatchet rang out.
"Listen up, you little cockroaches! I want all campers to report to the Dock of Shame at 0900 hours!"
Maki and Rantaro exchanged a glance, looking just as confused as the other.
"That means now, soldiers! Now!"
At that, the two made a dash out of the market and to the dock.
Soon, all of the campers were gathered at the Dock of Shame. Chef, who was dressed in a drill instructor's outfit, stood before them.
"Line up and stand at attention! You call this proper formation?!" Chef barked into a megaphone before pulling out a pointing stick and walking down the line of campers.
"Feet together!" Chef smacked Leon's legs, causing the boy to yelp.
"Arms down!" He then smacked Maki's crossed arms, which she then dropped.
"Eyes forward!" Sayaka immediately turned her head forward.
"Head up!" Chef used the stick to force Ryoma's head up, before smacking Makoto several times to fix his posture.
"This is gonna be a fun day," Junko muttered to Tenko.
"What did you say to me, soldier?!" Chef yelled, getting up in Junko's face.
"Uh, nothing?" Junko replied.
"And you will continue to say nothing until I tell you that you can say something!"
Chef turned away from Junko in favor of pacing up and down the dock. Tenko looked ready to say something to him, but a hand put on her shoulder by Junko stopped her from doing so.
"Today's challenge will not be an easy one. In fact, I do not expect everyone to come out alive."
Kaito chuckled a little bit at that, earning him a smack to the back of his head by Chef for it. "Ow!"
"My orders are to make sure all the babies in front of me drop out of my boot camp except one. The last one standing wins immunity for their team."
"I wonder what happened to Chris?" Sayaka whispered to Makoto, who shrugged.
"Rule number one!" Chef barked, eyes wide beneath his sunglasses. "You will address me as Master Chief! Have you got that?!"
"Yes, Master Chief!" the campers replied in unison.
"You will sleep when I tell you to sleep, and you will eat only when I tell you to eat! Is that clear?!" The speaker of the megaphone covered the screen briefly before it was lowered by Chef, Kirumi visible in the reflection of his sunglasses.
"Yes, Master Chief," she replied, not faltering once.
"Rule number two!" Chef continued, walking down the dock again. "When you are ready to give up, you will walk to the end of the dock and ring the bell." Chef pointed past the campers to the very end of the dock, where a brass bell hung from a wooden post.
"Which brings me to rule number three! I'd like to get one quitter before the end of the day, and that day will not end until someone drops out." Turning around to face the campers, Chef yelled, "Now get your butts down to the beach, soldiers! Now, now, now!"
Everyone ran off towards the beach, the majority of them screaming.
CONFESSIONAL - JUNKO:
"You know, I'm actually impressed that Chef's the one in charge of this challenge," she confessed. "Plus, I could use a break from Chris."
CONFESSIONAL - TENKO:
Tenko growled in frustration. "Ugh, who died and left that degenerate male in charge?! He's even worse than Chris!" She growled again as the confessional went to static.
At the beach, the two teams stood by two canoes—one red, and the other green—as they waited for their instructions.
"Listen up!" Chef barked. "Each team will hold a canoe over their heads. I catch you taking your hands off the canoe, and you will be eliminated! And no eats lunch until someone drops out." The campers exchanged looks of dread at his last statement.
"Canoes up!" Chef instructed, and the Killer Bass lifted up the red canoe while the Screaming Gophers lifted the green one.
Leon scoffed. "This isn't hard."
"Yeah!" Kaito agreed. "Piece of cake!"
A few hours went by, and the bright rays of sun was now beating down on the campers. A good number of them were beginning to grow weary.
"Come on, you sissies!" Chef mocked. "It's only been three hours!"
"Looks like they missed lunch today," Chris commented. He and Chef sat atop the Gophers' and Bass' canoes, respectively.
"Mm-hmm," Chef nodded in agreement. "Guess they just weren't hungry! Unless someone wants to quit now?"
"No way!" Kaito proclaimed, only to get kicked in the back of his legs by Maki, who stood right behind him. He yelped in pain and briefly took his hands off the canoe. He managed put them back in place, however, just as Chef lowered his head.
"Is there a problem down here?!"
"...No," Kaito responded.
Night had fallen sometime later, and most of the campers could barely hold their canoes up.
"Twenty-five of us went into the jungle that night..." Chef muttered as he sat by the campfire. "Only five of us came back out."
Junko yawned. "What war were you in, anyway?"
"Did I ask you to speak?!" Chef snapped. "Because I don't remember asking you to speak!"
Junko rolled her eyes. "Whatever..."
The focus then switched to Makoto, who was barely holding up—even less so than the other campers. He yawned, then sighed. "Guys... I don't think I can do this anymore..."
With that, the boy took his hands off the canoe and began to make his way to the Dock of Shame. He trudged past Chef, who watched him with a smirk.
"Looks like we got ourselves a quitter!" Chef squealed.
"Don't do it, Makoto!" Sayaka cried. However, it was too late, as he was already out of sight, and minutes later, the reverberation of the bell could be heard in the distance.
The Bass trembled under the extra weight they had to burden, and, eventually. collapsed. Meanwhile, the Gophers threw their canoe aside with ease.
"Alright, maggots!" Chef instructed as he turned to the remaining campers. "Report to the restaurant! Dinner is served."
"About time," Leon grumbled as he stretched out his sore arms.
The remaining campers were now in the restaurant, standing before Chef and Chris.
"All right, maggots! Open your ears!" Chef said. "You've got ten minutes to eat before night training begins, so get to it!"
Various complaints of "Night training?!" and "No!" popped up amongst the group, which were, of course, ignored.
"Um, excuse me, Master Chief?" Kaede asked. "Where's the food?"
Chef chuckled, gesturing to the garbage cans beside him. "You're looking at it."
Rantaro was the first one to open the lid of one garbage cans and peer inside. "This...is the garbage from today's breakfast," he noted with a sigh.
"Darn right!" Chef confirmed. "When you're at war, you take what you can get!"
"Well," Chris spoke, turning to Chef, "I can see you've got this under control. I'm off to craft services. Coming?"
"Serve me up some of that," Chef said as the two men walked out of the restaurant together.
"I refuse to eat this," Celestia spoke simply after the two had left, dropping her tray onto the floor.
"Likewise," Kirumi agreed. Unlike Celestia, she gently placed her tray down on a nearby table.
"What's the matter?" Leon asked Celestia, walking past her with two pieces of moldly bread in hand. "Don't like what's on today's menu?"
"Yes," Celestia replied bluntly. "This is completely unsanitary. Not to mention, disgusting."
Leon shrugged as he took a seat at the same table Sayaka sat at and offered her a piece of bread. "Want one?"
Sayaka eyed the bread and grimaced. "Ah, no thanks. I appreciate the offer, though."
"Fair enough," Leon nodded, and the two shared a laugh.
Back at the beach, music played on the stereo next to Chef as he performed a dance routine that consisted of shuffling and stomping.
A switch showed the rest of the campers, lined up in three rows, following the same dance in sync with each other and with the music. This went on for some time until the stereo was suddenly turned off, causing the campers to let out relieved sighs.
The culprit was Tenko, who had her hands on her hips and was scowling at Chef.
"Tenko!" Junko whispered-shouted at her. "What are you doing?!"
"He said if one of us drops out, we're done for the day," Tenko explained, not once breaking her stony expression from the hulking man.
"We're done when I say we're done!" Chef yelled. "Now drop and give me twenty!"
Tenko crossed her arms, glaring at Chef some more before sge begrudgingly began to do the push-ups. As she did, Chef leveled the other campers with a scowl of his own.
"Anyone else got something they want to say?"
"Actually, yeah," Sayaka dared to say, raising her hand. "Can I go the bathroom?"
The next shot showed Sayaka standing in the bathroom of a random cottage. She wore a pair of rubber gloves and held a mop and bucket.
"This isn't really what I meant..." she sighed.
The campers were now back in the restaurant, with Chef overseeing them.
"For your next challenge," Chef explained, "you'll write a three-hundred-word essay about how much you love me. Anyone who falls asleep, or fails to complete the challenge, will be eliminated."
The camera showed a clock up on the wall, which read 12:55 AM. It began to tick away until it hit 3:00 AM, and a buzzer sounded.
All of the campers were visibly tired now, barely able to keep themselves awake as they finished up their essays. Kaito chuckled softly to himself, Sayaka slumped her head down on the table in defeat after having her essay taken by Chef while in the middle of writing it, and Leon smiled smugly at Chef as he scooped up his essay and read it.
"I love Master Chief Hatchet because he is very, very, very, very...very...very..." Chef stopped reading and scowled at the teen. "This is just one sentence with five pages of very's in between!"
"It's three-hundred words exactly," Leon defended. "You can count it if you want."
Chef growled at Leon but walked off anyways. He slammed his fist down on a nearby table, startling Kaede awake. He glanced between her and Celestia, who laid fast asleep on the same table.
"You two slackers are out," Chef told the two girls before addressing the remaining campers as a whole. "The rest of you, get to bed and report to the playing field at 0500 hours!"
"Ahem."
Chef looked down to see Tenko, unsurprisingly, glaring at him. She shoved her essay into the man's hands. "Here, I finished your stupid essay."
"Girl!" Chef snapped, letting the papers fall to the ground. "Do you wanna run fifty laps around this island right now?!"
"No, she doesn't!" A third person, Junko, swooped in and grabbed Tenko's shoulders, pulling her away from Chef. "In fact, she's heading straight to bed right now. Right?"
Tenko relented at that with a sigh, letting her head droop. "Fine..."
It was still dark outside as the campers and Chef stood at the edge of a mud pit. The camera panned to the right to show an obstacle course; namely, a large wooden wall, a pair of hanging ropes with ramps leading to and away from them, a pair of raised tires, and a pair of axes swinging upside-down at the end.
"You will all run this course until you can all complete in under a minute," Chef instructed, before directing his next words to more towards Tenko in particular. "Am I making myself clear?"
Tenko didn't answer immediatey. It wasn't until Junko spoke up ("Tenko...") that she reluctantly said, "...Yes."
"I swear to god if we lose this challenge, I'm voting her out..." Leon muttered to himself.
"Go, maggots, go!" Chef barked at the campers when they weren't moving, and they all took off.
Feet splashed across the shallow pool, and Junko was first up the wall. She swiftly hopped over it, and the footage moved further along to show Maki jumping through one of the tires; Kaito jumped through the other tire and gotten himself stuck. Leon and Sayaka swung across the ropes, while Tenko and Ryoma crawled under the axes.
Rantaro pulled himself over the wooden wall, only to fall face-first into the mud. He steadied himself on his hands and knees as a stream of mud flowed out of his mouth.
"Master Chief," Maki called to him as she and Kaito came across Rantaro as they completed the obstacle course again. "I think have a problem."
Chef walked over to see what the problem was, and Rantaro opened his mouth to say something, only for more mud came out.
"Ring the bell and report to the hospital," Chef instructed, lifting Rantaro to his feet by his shirt. "Your tour of duty is finished."
"Just take it easy, man!" Kaito assured as he and Maki watched Rantaro leave. "You'll be fine!"
"Back on the course, soldiers! Now!" Chef yelled at the duo, and they took off again.
A montage of the campers making their way through the obstacle course was shown, although they were having more trouble with it now. Leon tried to climb over the wall, only for it to fall down and crash on top of him. Meanwhile, a mud-splattered Ryoma barely managed to make it through the tires, while Sayaka tripped running between obstacles. Maki had gotten herself tangled in the ropes somehow, while Kaito had gotten stuck in the mud as he was crawling through it.
Tenko crawled past him, covered in mud and slightly heaving. Shooting a smirk behind her, she mocked, "Fallen soldier, I salute you!"
She had to stop, however, when a pair of combat boots blocked her path. Tenko slowly looked up to see Chef looming over her menacingly.
"You just bought yourself twenty more push-ups!" he said.
Instead of doing the push-ups, Tenko huffed and rose to her feet.
"You know what? I've had it!"
Tenko snarled, baring her teeth, before throwing a punch a Chef. Unfortunately for her, the man merely caught it and tightened his grip on her fist, causing a yelp of pain to escape her mouth.
"Uh oh," Leon whispered to a nearby Sayaka. "She's really gonna get it this time."
Sayaka couldn't help but nod in agreement, watching the scene in front of her as if it were a bad car wreck.
"One night solitary confinement," Chef spoke in barely contained rage, veins bulging all over, "in the old building."
Several campers standing nearby gasped at the news.
Tenko, meanwhile, scoffed. "Big deal. It can't be that bad."
The scene cut away to a few shots of the dusty and abandoned building, then to Tenko, who sat against the wall in the spacious dining area. The girl sighed.
"I guess it can be that bad."
A wolf howled in the distance as the camera panned inside the restaurant to show the campers inside, eating the usual bowl of mush for dinner.
"Maybe we should check on Tenko?" Junko suggested to her team as she poked at her food.
"No thanks," Leon replied, leaning back in his chair. "I could use a break from that girl."
Junko looked over at her other teammates, who gave her vague shrugs and mutters. Junko scowled at them as she stood up, taking her bowl with her. "Fine. I'm gonna go check on her."
Tenko paced around the room she was in, staring at the floorboards with a bored expression.
Suddenly, she was snapped from her daze when she heard the faint creak of the old building's main door opening. Tenko stopped walking and stayed silent, listening out for who could be entering.
"Hello?" a familiar voice called out, echoing through the halls. "Tenko, you in here?"
"Junko?" Tenko poked her head out of the dining area's door. "Why are you here?"
Junko turned her head towards Tenko and smiled. She walked over and entered the room the other girl was in was in, offering the bowl of food. "I thought you might be hungry."
Tenko blinked, staring between Junko and the food. "Really? Well, thanks!"
The two girls sat down on the floor in a comfortable silence as Tenko ate. Once she'd finished, that was when Junko decided to speak up again.
"Hey, Tenko... Can I ask you something?"
Tenko looked over at the other girl expectantly. "Sure, what is it?"
"Why do you hate guys so much? Like, they could be literally doing nothing and you'll still snap at them."
Tenko shot her a look of pure disbelief. "Are you kidding me? It's because they're all terrible people who shouldn't be allowed to even breathe the same air as us girls—that's what my master told me! And he's never wrong!"
Junko's brows furrowed. "Wait, "he?"
"Yeah!" Tenko replied, seemingly unaware of what the problem with her statement was. "So—"
Junko cut her off. "So that means your master is a guy, right?"
"Yeah...?" Confusion was evident on Tenko's face, causing Junko to sigh.
"So why are you even associating yourself with him?"
Tenko paused, a sheepish smile growing on her face as she realized that she had no rebuttal to that. "Uh... Well, fine, you got me there. I don't know, I guess... I guess I kinda just believed that and it's stuck with me ever since..." Her eyes widened and she looked away. "...Oh god, am I a terrible person?"
"I wouldn't say terrible," Junko assured, snaking an arm around Tenko's shoulder. "Just... horribly misguided."
"That's not any better!"
"But, hey, I get it," Junko said, leaning back. "The whole "sticking with me" thing, anyways."
Tenko gave her a look. "What do you mean?"
Junko paused for a moment, as if she was contemplating something. "Well, the truth is... I feel like I'm not my own person, y'know?"
Now it was Tenko's turn to furrow her brows. "Really? But almost all the girls I know say they wanna be just like you!"
"Exactly!" Junko pointed out. "I act under a persona that only exists to reel people in! And I can't not do it, or my whole fashionista career would be over!"
Tenko put a hand to her chin, poking her tongue out in thought as Junko watched with a perplexed stare. "Hmm... Oh! You could start right now! Being your own person, I mean."
Junko blinked owlishly at that. "...What, like, during the competition?"
"Yeah! That way, the people you work with can't do anything about it! Plus, I'm sure your fans will support you no matter what you do—and even if they don't, I'll always have your back!"
Junko stared at the other girl for a moment longer, then shook her head with a chuckle. "It's gonna take more than just a makeover to solve our problems, huh?"
Tenko laughed right back. "Yeah... But we could still do the makeover, if you want."
Junko chuckled again and patted Tenko on the arm. "We'll see. But let's focus on you right now. I have an idea on how you can start making amends with the guys, but it does involve some breaking and entering."
Tenko smirked, leaning in. "I'm listening..."
In a clearing in the forest, a large tent could be seen as two "bushes" scuttled towards it. They stopped a few feet away from its entrance, and Junko and Tenko poked their heads out. Tenko peeked inside the tent's entrance, while Junko scoped out the surrounding area for Chris and Chef.
The two men were sitting at a table some distance away, chatting with each other.
"Twenty-five of us went into the jungle that night..." Chef spoke. "Only five of us came back out."
The girls looked back at each other and shared a knowing look before silently crawling inside the tent until they came across a small refrigerator. Junko opened the duffel bag they'd brought, while Tenko began to load it with foods and drinks from the fridge.
"I mean, come on," Chris spoke as the camera briefly cut to him. "I am nothing without my stubble."
Chef nodded. "Amen, brother."
Back to Junko and Tenko, the girls had successfully raided the tent, and Junko began to zip up the duffel bag.
"Anything else we should do while we're here?" Tenko asked.
Junko looked around the tent one last time before shaking her head. "Nope, I think we're all good here. Let's go."
With that, the two dashed into the night, the stolen bag of goods tucked underneath Junko's arm.
Back in the old building, along with Junko and Tenko, the rest of the campers were now gathered inside the dining hall, munching on the snacks the girls had brought back.
"Man, this is a great haul you two brought back!" Kaito told the two through a mouthful of sandwich. "After that obstacle course, we need all the food we can get!"
Tenko and Junko exchanged a look; the former gave an encouraging nod, causing Tenko to turn back to Kaito and mutter, "...Yeah, it's no problem."
"I wonder if all that stuff Chef said about being in a war was true," Sayaka mused to Kirumi and Kaede as she bit down on a cookie.
"Regardless, he is intent on giving us combat training we'll likely never use," Kirumi replied, a slight frown on her face.
"Seriously!" Kaede agreed, taking a bite of a crisp red apple. "If I wanted to join the army, I would have."
Meanwhile, Maki was spreading jam on a piece of bread as Rantaro walked over and sat down next to her. "This is pretty sweet, huh?" he asked.
"Yeah," Maki admitted, screwing the lid back onto the jar of strawberry jam. "It's better than what we usually eat at the orphanage, at least."
"You sure talk about the orphanage a lot," Rantaro pointed out. "Not trying to be rude, of course. Just something I've noticed."
"Why wouldn't I? Everyone there is pretty much family to me—even if they can be annoying at times—plus, they're the only family I have."
"I totally get that. I mean, I didn't grow up in an orphanage, but I do have twelve sisters, so I'm familiar with the whole "love-hate" thing."
Maki stared at Rantaro as if he'd grown two heads. "You have twelve sisters?"
"Well, had. I kinda ended up losing all of them, and... Yeah."
Maki raised a brow. "Really? Is that why you joined this show, then? To get the money to find them?"
Rantaro nodded. "Mostly."
"Oh." Maki briefly glanced over at Rantaro as she paused to chew her snack before looking away again. "I wish you luck, I guess."
Rantaro grinned. "Thanks."
The corners of Maki's lips upturned, just barely. "No problem."
The scene switched to the barely lit Dock of Shame as Chef spoke through the monitors. "Attention, remaining bootcampers. The next evolution of your training begins at 0700 hours. And if I catch the sucker that took my dessert, your butt is mine."
The next day, the remaining campers were in the forest, hanging upside-down by their knees from a tree. Leon and Junko for the Killer Bass, Maki and Kaito for the Screaming Gophers.
"What you are experiencing," Chef explained as he walked into the scene, "is an ancient form of torture. By now, the next stage is nausea, followed by dizziness and a flushed appearance as the blood begins to pool into your eyes."
The shot focused on Leon, who'd begun to look woozy and cross-eyed.
"You may experience fainting spells—" was all Chef could get out before Leon crashed to the ground with a loud thud.
"Leon!" Sayaka exclaimed.
Rantaro dashed over to where Leon laid awkwardly on the ground. "It's okay," he assured after looking the redhead over. "He'll be fine."
"We're counting on you, Kaito and Maki!" Kaede encouraged as Rantaro took his place with his team.
"The same for you, Junko!" Sayaka added.
"Don't worry," Junko assured coolly, "I can do this all day."
"Haha, that's the kind of energy I like to see!" Kaito chuckled, pumping his fists. When he did so, however, the sudden movement caused him to lose his balance and fall, accidentally taking Maki down with him.
"That's gonna leave a mark," Ryoma winced when they hit the ground. Kirumi nodded in agreement.
"Are you guys okay?!" a panicked Kaede cried as she ran over to where the two laid on the ground, groaning in pain.
Meanwhile, the Killer Bass had lifted Junko in the air and began to cheer in victory, running around the area. However, they skidded to a halt when Chef Hatchet blocked their path.
"Congratulations, soldier," Chef told Junko with a salute. "I'd go to war with you anytime."
"Uh, thanks," Junko replied awkwardly. "I'll, um, definitely keep that in mind when choosing my future career."
As the Bass ran off again, Chef watched them and shedded a single tear. "You do that, soldier. You do that."
Night had fallen, and as per usual, the losing team was gathered at the elimination ceremony. Chef stood behind them, still wearing his drill instructor's outfit.
"I only have four marshmallows," Chris announced, holding a plate of marshmallows in hand. "And these marshmallows represent the campers that will continue to be campers. Here. You've all casted your votes in the confessional. If I don't call your name, you must immediately return to the Dock of Shame, catch the Boat of Losers, and go home. And you can never come back. Ever."
The Gophers stared at Chris with anxious (or annoyed) looks, who then said, "...Is what I would say if someone was actually getting eliminated tonight."
"Wait, so nobody's going home?" Kaede asked, voicing the slight confusion of her teammates.
"Not exactly," Chris replied, setting the marshmallows aside. "The rest of you can consider yourselves lucky, because Kirumi here got a phone call related to her work back home."
"Oh yeah," Kaito spoke, scratching his goatee, "didn't she say she worked part-time as a maid or something?"
"Very well." Kirumi stood up and turned to the other campers, giving them a bow. "If duty calls, then I shall take my leave. Goodbye, everyone. May we meet again."
Kirumi swiftly turned and made her way to the Dock of Shame, and the camera began to focus on Chris. "Kirumi's gone, and the Gophers are down 5-6. How will things play out from here on out? Find out next time on... Total! Drama! Island!"
The camera panned inside a certain cottage to show Junko staring at herself in the mirror. Her gaze averted up to her hair, taking a chunk of it in her hand as she pursed her lips.
Junko took her pigtails out, letting strawberry blonde locks fall down her back before throwing the bunny clip and bow in the nearby garbage can. Then, she grabbed the pair of scissors that sat on the counter and began to cut her hair as the episode faded to black.
Killer Bass - Celestia, Junko, Leon, Makoto, Sayaka, Tenko
Screaming Gophers - Kaede, Kaito, Maki, Rantaro, Ryoma
Eliminated - Toko, Mondo, Shuichi, Ibuki, Kazuichi, Komaru, Kokichi, Hiyoko, Yasuhiro, Mikan, Kirumi
Author's Note: Surprised? Yeah, I know Kirumi didn't haveI much screentime before she was eliminated, but I thought it would be weird if I eliminated her too early.
I also hope you enjoyed all of the interactions in this chapter, they were super fun to write! There was another scene I was going to include in here, but I've decided to push it back until next episode.
Also! I just want to give a special thanks to everyone who comments on this story, whether you comment on all (or almost all) of the chapters, or even just once or twice.
