Notes: Happy new year to everyone! sorry about the delay, was supposed to come out the day before new years. just got very delayed with family and other things we got caught up in. and after the fun chapters we had... time for some serious changes to the fic.

Katara stirred in her sleep slightly, sighing and rubbing her face against the pillow she was on. After a moment she realized the pillow shifted, her eyes slowly opening up and seeing the arm beneath her. She blushed when she looked over to see Shoto passed out on the couch, smiling as his breathing made his chest rise slowly. She remembered how at the end of the day after the festival, everyone came back enjoying dinner with one another, laughing and talking about the day they had. She then remembered sitting on the couch next to Shoto before falling asleep, obvious that Shoto chose to stay beside her on the couch.

She reached down and brushed away the red hair in his face, her thumb reaching down and running across the burn scar on his face. Despite what he felt about it, she actually liked it on him, as if it were a personal beauty mark in a way. Leaning down, she gave a small kiss to his cheek, smiling as he mumbled in his sleep. She was actually surprised she woke up before him, assuming he was so comfortable sleeping beside her. Hearing some grunts beside her, Katara turned to see both Tsu and Uraraka asleep on the other couch, laughing seeing them both drooling and twitching in their dreams. Standing up from the couch, Katara stretched and popped her arms.

"Hopefully we have some easy classes after everything we did for the festival." Katara mumbled to herself, feeling her stomach growl. As she made her way towards the kitchen, she pulled her phone out to check the time, only to be surprised by the number of missed calls it showed she had. "Huh?"

She hadn't even checked her phone in all honesty over the last two days, pretty much fully focused on preparing for her stage show performance. As she opened it up, she was even more surprised to see the person who was calling her, her heart rate rising slightly. "Burnin?"

After not hearing anything from that specific agency in nearly the last two weeks, Katara had been wondering if she was ever going to be called by any of them again. With everything she had learned and told, however, she knew her peaceful days at the school would have to end for the truth at some point. Now, it seemed that time had finally come. Clicking on the icon, she took a breath and called it back, waiting until she heard the click on the other side. "Hey Burnin…"

"Took enough time to answer, huh kid?" Burnin's annoyed voice said on the other side, "Of all the times to not answer… now isn't that time."

The tone in her voice was a mix of many things, and Katara felt her chest tighten guessing what it was from. "I was caught up with stuff here. So… you are calling because…"

''I don't even need to tell you what the hell I'm calling for…" She hissed out, sighing on the other side. "... I need you and that kid of Endeavor to get your ass over her now. We got some shit to talk about."

The phone clicked from the sidekick hanging up, leaving Katara sitting alone in the kitchen before leaning against the counter. She took several breaths as she turned to Shoto sleeping on the couch, frowning as he seemed to be sleeping so peacefully. After she had got him to be able to simply enjoy himself and have fun after everything, she would now have to take him out of that comfort… and back into the darkness that haunted his family.

Which was easier said than done.

When Katara went to Aizawa and told him they had to leave school to meet Endeavor, the idea was shot down immediately.

"You really think this is the time for that?" Aizawa groaned. "You're on very little terms to be leaving these grounds at this moment."

"Sir, you don't understand. We have to go today." Katara explained to her teacher before anyone was in class. "We were called and need to go."

Aizawa raised his brow at her. "And I'm supposed to just say yes? We have a commission who has asked for you to be brought in, and leaving the security of the campus isn't really making it easy to keep you guarded."

"But do you think anything would actually happen?" Katara asked, "After what you told me, it's not like they are going to send the army after me in broad daylight."

Narrowing his eyes, Aizawa rubbed his thumbs together. After their last conversation with the president, it seemed they did have a mutual understanding to the situation with Katara; they said they would leave Katara alone and not come for her at the expense of cutting off the salary funds to the school staff, hoping they would cave for the sake of supporting themselves. With that taken care of, Aizawa also knew the commission was too concerned with not wanting to bring attention to themselves by making a scene with wanting her, meaning they weren't willing to risk an incident like that as well.

But he was still concerned.

"And what makes this talk so important you need to leave now? If you don't recall, your last adventure outside school is one of the reasons we ended the work studies for now."

Katara held her breath as she looked over to Shoto, the teen leaning against a nearby desk and glaring towards the ground. He tightened his grip on the desk and exhaled deeply. "It's complicated… and we need to go now."

Aizawa grunted and scratched his chin, shaking his head in annoyance and looking back to Katara. "I should simply be the responsible teacher and just say no… but I feel you would be stubborn and just go to Nezu or another teacher and bug them. Until we get stuff figured out with you, You'll need supervision with leaving school."

Both Katara and Shoto watched in surprise as he stood up from his desk. "You mean…?" Katara said.

"What, you thought I was going to let you just go by yourselves without protection?" Aizawa stated, "At least until we are certain, you are going to need a teacher to take you off campus."

"Aizawa sensei…" Shoto stood up from the desk he was on. "I know you are looking out for us… but whatever we are meeting for, I assure you this isn't any of your business."

"Believe me, I don't want it to be. I've been dealing with paperwork and headaches every time you all get involved with any sort of trouble." Aizawa grunted. "I'm not going to like what you are talking about, I can tell. So I'm going to simply let you tell me when you feel it's right."

Walking towards the door, Aizawa cracked his neck as the two students stared at him. "I'll get someone else to cover class for the morning." he huffed out and shook his head. "I'll say this… you two as a couple are trouble magnets."

As he walked out, both Katara and Shoto felt their chests tighten to the comment made by their teacher. The statement was meant as Aizawa's odd sense of humor, not knowing the meaning of this talk was in fact related to the relationship they were in. The tension never went away either as they were led to the car and driven from school, taking the pair across town before stopping at Shoto's home. Choosing to wait in the car, Aizawa simply nodded as Katara and Shoto got out of the car, slowly walking towards the door before she stopped him. "Hey, are you going to be-

Shoto's hand reaching over and grabbing her own made her words stop. "I need to do this, Katara." He said as he turned toward her. "It's my family, and I have to stand up and do what's right."

Nodding, she squeezed his hand in return before knocking on the door, waiting a few moments before they heard footsteps on the other side. When it opened, they were both surprised to see Burnin there, her own eyes looking dreary and tired. Katara was somewhat surprised to see her not only outside of her uniform, but looking so drained. "So you finally showed up, huh?" the sidekick said as she walked inside. "We got a lot of shit to discuss."

The bluntness of her statement made both Katara and Shoto tighten their grip on each other, walking in after her and closing the door. Once they got to the living room, they were met with a familiar face of Fuyumi sitting there, her face lighting up with a smile when she saw her brother come inside. "Shoto, hey!" She stood up as he entered, her eyes quickly catching their hands separating as they came around the corner which made her giggle internally. "Glad to see you brought your "friend" too."

"She's not my friend…" Shoto stated before his face warmed up slightly. "She's… my girlfriend."

Unable to hold back her giggle, Fuyumi beamed with excitement at the statement. "I knew I saw something special coming from her when I first saw her." She turned and nodded to the waterbender in support. "Thank you for being so good to him."

"Thank you," Katara said, happy to have some support at least.

"Of course! Isn't she just as cute as I told you?" Fuyumi said as she turned around to the other member sitting in the room, one that made Shoto's eyes widen.

Leaning forward in his chair was his other brother Natsuo, the nineteen year old smiling softly at the sight of his little brother. "Well, I have to say I never would've believed it until I saw it; Shoto actually getting a girlfriend. I guess I owe you that drink, sis."

"Oh don't be like that, this is wonderful!" Fuyumi responded and clasped her hands behind her back. "It's wonderful you both were able to get out of school for this."

Natsuo grimaced and looked away. "I still don't agree with this, Fuyumi. If he wants to suffer in whatever he's dealing with, that's his problem."

"This could be the chance to change everything though!" Fuyumi yelled for a moment before clenching her mouth. "This… he has been changing lately, and whatever he's dealing with, this can be how we fix everything about this family."

"And that's going to change what he did to all of us growing up?" Natsuo growled out, "I'm here just because of you two, but don't think I'm going to simply walk up and give him a hug and make him feel better with whatever he's dealing with."

As the two siblings talked back and forth, Shoto and Katara looked at each other with confusion about their words. "Wait… do you not… do you not know what's happening?" Katara asked them.

"Our dad came back one day and has been a complete wreck ever since. He's done nothing but drink until Burnin was able to get through with him a few days back." Fuyumi explained. "She was trying to get a hold of you yesterday, and when she said you were coming, I was able to convince Natsuo to come."

"And don't think I'm here for him. I'm here to watch whatever he says to you or Shoto." Natsuo sternly stated.

"We are family, and we need to work hard to be there for family," Fuyumi tried to reason for him, frowning in frustration. "I've seen mom making so much progress lately, and even with what we've seen, we need to be there for anyone else that needs help."

The two UA students were in disbelief at the siblings' knowledge, realizing they had no idea about everything that had happened. Suddenly, Burnin walked in from the kitchen with a beer in hand, plopping down in one of the open seats. She noticed the perplexed looks from Katara and Shoto, snickering and popping the cap off. "What, you thought I broke the news to them?"

"Really?" Fuyumi glared as the sidekick began drinking the beer. "After what he is going through?"

"He isn't needing an AA meeting if that's what you thought this was about." Burnin huffed out and took another swig. "You may want a few after today."

Fuyumi tilted her head in confusion. "What? So you have known what's wrong and haven't said anything to me?"

"Yup… because this shit is a little deeper than a little rough spot in life." Burnin said, reaching up and rubbing her head. She herself had barely slept for the last few days, learning what had caused her boss to lose it. "What's going on with him is bigger than anything you can ever imagine, and something you all need to deal with one another."

The feel in the room suddenly grew tense from Burnins tone, where the older siblings looked confused to what she was referring to, and the other two feeling uneasy to knowing what was coming. Natsuo turned in curiosity to the new girl in the room, noticing the concerned look on her face. "I've been hearing a lot about you… not just from sis, but on the news." He said, narrowing his gaze "You've been interacting with him for the last year… ever since he took you under him. Being a fan or whatever he said you were, I bet you saw the real him the moment you worked for him…"

Shoto furrowed his brow and stepped forward. "Katara has nothing to do with this. Everything here is-

"It's Alright, Shoto…" Katara cut him off, taking a breath herself as she looked at the pair of siblings. "I am a part of this after what happened. But you should talk to him, and let him be there to answer what is going on."

While Fuyumi was hesitant to the statement, Natsuo growled and stood up from the chair and walked through the house. "Then let's get this shit over with…"

"Natsuo wait," Fuyumi called out, "Let's not be rash and-

"I'm going to be as rash as I can," He hissed out, "The only reason I skipped classes today was to keep that bastard's tongue in line. I'm over the way I was treated, but I won't stand another day of him treating you like trash. The moment you find out what he's all broken up for, I'm out of here. Don't expect me to simply stay once you are done and want to break bread with this asshole."

While Fuyumi grimaced at the words he said… she and no one else said anything against him as they followed him down. The angry Natsuo walked down the hall and stopped at the door to his fathers room, his heart rate already rising from being back home. He'd actually enjoyed the last year being at college, away from this place and the many memories that tormented him. If he had the choice, he would let his dad simply wallow in whatever crap he was sunk into. He was only here for his other siblings to be there for them. Clenching his fists, he pounded on the door several times, waiting impatiently for it to open. After a few moments of silence, he pounded again, glaring in annoyance.

"Hey, I don't want to be here as much as you care about others, so open up." Natsuo grumbled out, tapping his foot as the door remained closed. After another minute, his brow raised curiously, looking over to his sister standing beside him. "What, am I disturbing his beauty rest?" Frowning, Fuyumi moved by him and opened the door, pushing it open and going inside first.

As everyone else followed in, all except Burnin were shocked by what they saw.

Enji Todoroki lay sprawled in the bed completely unconscious, his body surrounded by several empty bottles of liquor. His face was covered in what looked like two weeks worth of unkept facial hair, along with the deep bags sitting underneath his eyes. He looked like he hadn't cleaned himself in over a week, the man a complete and utter mess compared to the man he normally was.

"Oh my god…" Fuyumi said in shock, looking over to Burnin. "I thought you said he had stopped drinking the other day."

"I said he stopped… didn't say I was babysitting after our talk…" Burnin growled and downed the rest of her beer. She sighed and tossed the glass to the side of the room, earning a glare from Katara. "What? It's not like the room's any worse now." she sneered out and walked forward kicking the bed frame hard, causing the sleeping man to jump up. "Get up!"

"Wha?" Enji gasped out, his bloodshot eyes bursting open in shock. He panted several times as he tried figuring where he was, looking around as his vision focused. When it did however, he felt his heart nearly stop in his chest when he saw the many faces standing there, the many faces he couldn't bear to confront now all here suddenly. "What are you… Natsuo?"

Natsuo stared silently at the dirty hero, seeing him in person for the first time since he left home. The large scar over Enji's face caught him off guard at first before he looked over the rest of him. Despite seeing his dad in such a beaten state, barely felt any sympathy for him, though. In fact, he felt a small spot of satisfaction seeing the man who caused him and his family so much pain now seemingly in his own suffering. "Well look here… the great Endeavor is in need of help. This is something big."

"Natsuo," Fuyumi glared at him, "This isn't the time to-

"Not the time? When is the time?" Natsuo growled out, "There never will be a time with him. Any conversation with him ends when he wants and simply puts all the blame on everyone else. The only reason I'm here is because you are still trying to keep this man in our lives."

"Because we are family, and we need to be there for each other!" Fuyumi yelled in frustration, her mouth trembling. "We don't need to keep holding onto the past when we-

Katara felt her chest tighten as Fuyumi sniffled in anger, the womans emotions bubbling to the surface. She had always known Shoto's frustrations and inner rage towards his father, always pushed as the perfect successor to Endeavor. With these two, however, it was a different kind of pain she could see, with one being desperation for the family feel they missed out on growing up, and another who simply had no interest in trying to. And another sibling… who's anger and obsession was the reason she was here now. Looking back to Enji, she could see his bloodshot eyes in utter panic as he stared at his children, quickly glancing her way and knowing what this was all about.

"K-Katara… Shoto… I…" his heart rate began speeding up as he looked to the other faces, from his sidekicks glaring eyes to the anger and confusion from his two older children. "You're all here…"

"Yes… we are." Shoto quietly responded, taking a breath and stepping back to lean against the wall. "It's time you face this… and I do as well."

Enji's mind immediately began going into a regressive state, wanting to turn away and hide himself. "I… please go. I don't want to-

"God damn it…" Burnin growled out, shaking her head in frustration. "Enough of this shit. I've worked for you for years, but this is getting sad. Where the hell is the Endeavor I know?!"

Everyone else was caught off guard to the fire headed womans remark, especially since she was always the one to do whatever he asked, no questions asked from her. Katara's words from the night they spoke on patrol however were becoming more clear to why she spoke them, as Burnin clenched her fists at her side. "No more hiding. You are going to face this shit head on."

"What is going on?" Fuyumi asked, completely confused. "What happened that made you like this?"

Katara sighed and moved to the side of the room, sitting down on the edge of the nightstand. "When I was working under your father, we were tricked and led into an ambush by a group of villains. In the end, we found out the villains were not after Burnin like we thought, wanting to capture a lot of us to use as hostages for ransom. But the main target of the entire situation… was me."

"What? But why?" Natsuo asked her, "What makes you so special these villains would do this to get you?"

"It's because of me…" Shoto answered, looking up to his brother in pain. "It's because of our connection to our father."

Natsuo looked down to his father Enji, his mouth hung open in confusion before he glared. "What, was your pride hurt since you failed to catch another crook to add to your resume? And someone got hurt working for you-

"Just stop, please!" Fuyumi yelled at him, "That isn't helping anything!"

"Fuyumi…" Enji's weak voice spoke out, unable to look her way. "Let him speak. I need to hear him." While still angry, even Natsuo was perplexed by the answer, never hearing his father say anything like that. "All of this… It's because of me."

Katara looked over at Shoto, seeing the pain on his face. He still nodded, however, knowing they had to tell the others. "The villain who hired them was the same one who attacked our camp, wanting to get both me and Shoto… all because he wants to get back at your father." If a knife could be used to cut the tension that filled the room that moment, it would've broken.

Looking up, Katara locked eyes with the two siblings. "That villain after me… he is your brother."

The quiet gasp that came from Fuyumi's mouth felt as loud as anything in the silent room, the woman's eyes almost bursting through her glasses. Her heart began beating so loud she felt her ears pounding. "Wh-what?"

Natsuo almost felt like his blood run cold from what he just heard, his breath catching inside his throat. "What did you say?" his hands shook as his eyes narrowed. "What the hell did you just say?"

Katara felt her chest tighten at the faces she received, knowing their pain was probably worse since they remembered their brother far more than Shoto did. "When he was attacking me, the dye in his hair came out and turned white. He told me who he was."

"No… no no no." Fuyumi muttered out. "This… this isn't true. He died years ago!"

"I don't know you… but if this is some kind of sick sense of humor, I'm not laughing." Natsuo growled out.

Shoto clenched his hands at his side, holding back the flames that wanted to creep up his arm. He knew this day would come, and knew it was better to face it than keep hiding from it. "This isn't some kind of joke… she's telling the truth."

"How is this true?! He died!" Fuyumi yelled back, the corners of her eyes beginning to water. "Dad, you said you went up there and couldn't find him! You said nothing could've survived that inferno!"

Falling back against the opposing wall, Natsuo felt his brow sweating profusely as his mind began pulsing inside. "No, no no no. he's dead. This isn't true!"

"Dad, you said you searched for him!"

Enji's daughters scream barely even registered in Enji's ears, the man's head slumped over as his mind replayed the face of what he thought was his son. The young child that he thought he lost was now a murdering criminal on the streets, one who wanted him and everything around him to come crashing down. And at this moment, he didn't care if it did or not.

"DAD!" Fuyumi yelled out, a few tears falling down her cheeks. She clenched her teeth and glared back at the others. "Why didn't you tell us about this?! All of you knew this?!"

Burnin glared back and pointed at the dazed Enji. "You live here with him. We didn't know he was gonna be keeping all this shit to himself. I just found out the other day."

"And you…" Natsuo pointed at Katara, "How do you know all this about our brother? What makes you think he didn't tell you some shit to make you believe him?"

Katara frowned internally as she thought back to the night in the cavern with the hunters, and the moment she was confronted by Dabi. she explained how obsessive he was about Endeavor ever since the attack on the camp, to how all of the plan by the hunters was set up to get her specifically by him. The more she spoke, the more both Fuyumi and Natsuo's harsh looks began to turn into shock, many of the things reminding them more and more of their long lost sibling. The moment she came to the part where she learned he was Touya, Fuyumi dropped to her knees in despair.

"This… this can't be…" She gasped out, clutching at her chest. "Touya…."

Natsuo's skin shivered as everything came crashing down over him, gripping at his hair in agony. "What the hell… brother…."

"It can't be… he would've come home if he was alive!" Fuyumi cried out, "Dad… what are we-

Everyone jumped from the sudden slam of Enji's fist into his bed, turning and expecting to see him in a fit of utter rage. What they saw however was nothing they expected; the man's face was buried into his other hand, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"What have I done? What… what the hell did I do to my family?!" He wailed out, his voice cracking in pain. "I caused all of this! I did this!"

The Todoroki siblings sat in complete shock and silence from the cries coming from Enji, the main they barely ever saw emotions other than anger from.

"I did all of this to you, I pushed all you away for a god damn dream!" He whined out, dragging his fingers down the scar on his face. "I pushed him to this! I did this to all of you! I….AHHHHHHH!"

The agonizing cries from the number one hero sent chills through everyone in the room, never expecting the top hero to be the one so broken now. Fuyumi almost began crying harder, not knowing what to do with everything going on. Natsuo was in a thick haze, his mind spinning from the revelation. Even Burnin was fully silent, unable to process her hardened boss so broken and lost. Shoto was also still in disbelief, the fact a brother he barely knew was back and trying to destroy his family.

"I… I don't know what to do…" Enji whined out, his body trembling in agony. "I've done nothing but destroy what I had. I… I pushed my family through hell all for my own ambitions, and now what do I have?! How am I supposed to go and face the son I drove to near death?! How can I call myself a hero anymore?!"

The room fell silent beside the crying coming from Enji and Fuyumi, the others completely unsure what to even say any more, but they weren't the ones to speak up.

"So you're giving up?"

The words barely made it over the crying coming from Enji and his daughter, the broken hero looking up past his hands to the waterbender sitting there staring at him. The others also turned to the teen in question.

"After everything I dealt with this year, I've seen you're one the most stubborn men I've ever met in my life. All you ever cared about was a stupid ranking that doesn't even mean anything in the end. You've done nothing but push everything that you should've kept close away for a dream, when you had a family here that could've been the best thing for you. You thought bringing home a lower number by your name was going to be the thing that made you happy." Katara sternly said, many of the things that had bothered her for so long coming up again.

"When I first started at school, I wasn't even friends with Shoto because all he cared about was trying to beat me just to get at you. He didn't even want to use half of his powers just because he had so much anger against you for everything he had dealt with growing up. It wasn't until we became close after the festival before we became close and I learned just what kind of things you put him and everyone else through."

The other siblings made quick looks at one another, even with the pain they were feeling unable to escape the feelings rising from the words they were hearing. Enji himself only gritted his teeth in fury at himself, every word she spoke tearing deeper into his heart and making the pain worsen.

"But… you are so stubborn… that I know you would never quit just from hurt feelings until you were finished with this challenge. Despite everything you do at home, you always fight to actually save people out there, and wouldn't just sit back as people could be hurt by a villain out there. You're the strongest hero left in the country, and you need to be the one to go out there and show why you were the one to take All Might's place as the one to keep this country safe." she admitted, looking over to Shoto staring at her. "That's why Shoto still chose to come and learn under you, because he knows despite what you are, you are still one of the most accomplished heroes and know how to stop villains from hurting others."

Katara stood up from the night stand and walked over beside Shoto, taking a breath as she looked around to all of the eyes watching her. "When I came to after my injuries, I told them about the truth I learned, and despite him telling me to stay away, I want to be here to help."

Natsuo was at a loss of words to the new girl here, completely taken aback by her attitude. "Why? Why do you want to get involved in all this shit?"

Katara reached over and grabbed onto Shoto's hand, squeezing it and nodding. "Because I care for him, and would do anything to help him when he needed it. And despite what I feel about you, sir," she said looking at the shocked flame hero. "I made a promise to help anyone who needed help. And even with what you used to think about me and what you've done… I don't want to break my promise."

Enji's mouth trembled to the words he was hearing from the waterbender, unsure how he was even supposed to take the sudden support he was being offered from the teen. The very girl he was so set on being either removed from school or defeated by his son… was now the one offering a helping hand to him. He had seen her show her true self over the months since he first made his incorrect assumption about her, and now he truly saw she was in fact probably one of the closest things he had seen that reminded him of those ideals All Might always preached about… the very things he ignored many times for his own ambitions.

But… his mind and heart still felt shattered and broken in so many places. He breathed several times as his heart rate was still through the roof, unable to fully comprehend the son he thought was dead now being the one in the league of villains. Despite what he was now, the fact he was the child that disappeared because of himself was eating at him more than anything now. "How… how can I go and face him now? After knowing I am the one who did this… I am the one who made him into that…"

"Then I will be the one to stop him…" Shoto growled out, squeezing Katara's hand. "After what he tried to do to Katara, I can't let that slide. Besides… he owes me another match." He said as he glanced down to the light burns on his arm.

"Shoto," Fuyumi sat up, wiping her eyes free. "How are you planning on facing your own brother now?"

"He chose his path. Even with what we went through, none of us chose to suddenly kill. He crossed a line and made his choice in life. If anyone should be the one to stop him, it needs to be one of us."

"No…" Enji muttered out, "You can't face him alone. I can't do that."

"He wouldn't be alone," Katara said, rubbing her thumb against her hand. "I have a little payback for myself to give his way. This just means we need to get stronger for the next time we face him."

Burnin couldn't help but chuckle to herself, gripping her forehead and shaking her head. "Goddamn, you kids sure as hell are crazy."

Enji didn't know what to say, sitting up further in his bed as his head began clearing slightly. He saw despite his utterly despicable mistakes in his life, he saw there were those who still wanted to help face the demons he created. "I… I don't know what to say." he quietly said, "I… I don't know what else but…" his mouth clenched in pain from seeing all of this, his soul crushing from the inside. "I'm… I'm so sorry for everything."

Everyone in the room were now surprised by the words, not expecting that one bit. However, Natsuo glared as he sat up through everything, staring right up at his father. "I don't want an apology from you. A sorry doesn't change what I feel and what you did."

"Natsuo…" Fuyumi glared at her brother. "We have to-

"But you need to apologize to her…"

Natsuo's sentence made Enji's eyes widen once more, already knowing where this was going. "You…"

His glaring son gave a nod. "You need to tell our mother yourself what you did, and what you will do to repent for what you did to her and all of us."

Later that day

Across the country from Tokyo, the night sky hung over the abandoned construction site. Sitting upon the wheel of the broken tractor, Touya stared up at the stars, leaning his white haired head against the frame of the machine. Hearing the footsteps coming his way, he chuckled and tossed the rock he was fiddling with away. "Coming to tuck me into bed?" he said out loud, turning to see Compress making his way over.

"I'd prefer to keep you outside this camp, Dabi…" the magician scoffed, kicking the rock that had been thrown. "...Or do you prefer Touya now?"

"Ohh… still sensitive about that?" Touya laughed out, rubbing his hand over his white hair. "I actually prefer not worrying about it coming out any longer."

"And you still expect us to just accept this with open arms?" Compress hissed out, "You decided to keep the fact your father is the god damn number one hero from us?"

"If I decided to keep it secret, I would've dyed it back before I returned." He said as he hopped off the tire. "Besides… would you have been okay if I said it from the beginning?"

"No shit we wouldn't have, and while some are okay, I still have my doubts with you." Compress muttered. "Just because you claim to have daddy issues, does that mean you aren't going to suddenly feel bad for what you are doing?"

"Hmm… let me think…" Touya sarcastically tapped his chin. "I tried capturing my brother and his girlfriend at the camp, set up an entire plan to destroy my fathers reputation and get both my brother and his girlfriend if I could've just to destroy this society. Not enough persuasion for you?"

Compress frowned as he didn't have much to say in argument to that, but he still didn't feel right about this. Both turned towards another set of footsteps approaching, seeing the hand covered face of Shigaraki stopping nearby. "I think you've proven enough to show your loyalty… except for how you've been operating…" Tomura muttered out.

"And what do you have against my operating…" Touya shrugged. "As far as I can tell, it seems my little adventure ended up doing more damage than your little escapade."

"Come now, that wasn't our thing. We were going to get that serum from Overhaul… only you weren't there to help us break it free from the security that day since you were gone, and got one of our strongest fighters arrested."

"Muscular was nothing more than a tank with no driver at the seat. He would've been dead weight down the line and you know it." Touya laughed as he thought back to the news conference, "Besides, since that day, have you noticed Endeavor has vanished from the streets?"

Sighing in amusement, Tomura had to agree with the fire wielder's action. "Another pathetic hero trying to take All Might's mantle, and the entire world sees he doesn't have the capability of the great symbol of peace. I guess it worked out quite well in our favor."

"You wanted chaos, didn't you? I'm going to bring you far more than this as long as we continue to break the top hero standing." Touya gave a false bow and grinned. "We haven't even reached the encore of the performance and this country is already falling apart. Old Endeavor has probably kept his mouth shut, not wanting his name to be brought down yet. I'd hate to be late to the day if he actually has the balls to admit the mistake he had with me to the world."

Tomura almost began laughing himself, finding amusement in any kind of destruction to the society that made him so disgusted. While he was pissed at Overhaul for what he said to him, he actually found more amusement in him locked away in Tartarus. He had a few ideas what to do when they attempted to break into the convoy, also wanting that quirk erasing serum especially. Now that it was in the possession of the prison security, he had a new plan come into his mind.

"Perhaps I misjudged your planning in what you did…" Tomura hissed as he walked forward, reaching forward and touching the tire with his hand and dissolving it. He couldn't help but laugh at the power he possessed, looking down at his palm and taking a breath. "Perhaps we need to plan something big together for our next performance for the world to see."

Notes: man... after the fun and happy chapters we had recently, it was quite the change jumping into the dark tones coming from the drama they've tried avoiding.

Now the family is coming into the loop of the dark secret they've discovered, and Katara showing her determination once more. A broken family that has someone willing to throw themselves to help them all. and now we also have Touya and the others planning their next step.
