The night was a cold one, with the stars shining brightly in the sky. Fizzarolli was looking out the window, admiring the view.
"Hey, Fizzy, what are you doing?" asked Asmodeus, his voice soft and gentle.
"I'm just thinking about everything that has happened lately," replied Fizzarolli.
"Are you still thinking about what happened in Wrath?" asked Asmodeus, worried.
"Yeah," said Fizzarolli. "That was quite scary. I really thought I was going to die. But Stolas saved me."
"I'm so glad he did," said Asmodeus, relieved.
"Me too," replied Fizzarolli.
"Are you okay though?" asked Asmodeus. "That must've been a really traumatic experience."
"I'm managing" said Fizzarolli, sighing.
"You're strong, Fizzy. You'll be okay," said Asmodeus, reassuringly.
Fizzarolli smiled.
"Thanks, Oz."
Asmodeus hugged him.
"I'm here for you, Fizzy. I'll always be."
"I know, Oz. I know."
The couple stood there for a moment, in silence, enjoying the company of each other.
"So, today is the big day huh? Stolas' plan... Will it work?" asked Asmodeus.
"I hope so, but I have doubts," said Fizzarolli. "What do you think, Oz? Do you think Blitzo can fit in with our lifestyle?"
"To be honest, I don't know," said Asmodeus, honestly.
"I feel like he's not used to having a lot of luxuries and such, and we live in a very luxurious environment. I don't know if it'll be too much for him." explained Fizzarolli.
"Well, we can find out today, when he comes over," said Asmodeus, chuckling.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see," said Fizzarolli, nodding his head.
Fizzarolli started looking for more information about lower class' lifestyle, trying to make Blitzo feel at home with them. Stolas' plan was finally set in motion: they would host Blitzo in their mansion for a week, and then go live in his shack for the same duration. This way, they wanted to prove a point, showing that princes and imps could live together in the same conditions, and they weren't that different from each other.
"Alright, so let's review the plan one last time," said Asmodeus, remembering Stolas' words. "Blitzo will arrive here in the morning, and he will stay for the week. Then, we'll go live at his house."
"Sounds good to me," said Fizzarolli.
"Do you have any questions?" asked Asmodeus.
"I just wonder, can Blitzo handle this environment?" said Fizzarolli.
"If anyone can, it's him. He's a strong, stubborn guy." said Asmodeus.
"You're right. It's not gonna be easy, but we can do this," said Fizzarolli, determined.
"Yes, we can."
And then, they heard a knock on the door.
"He's here!" exclaimed Asmodeus, happily.
They opened the door, and there stood Blitzo, looking nervous.
"Hi, Blitzo," said Fizzarolli. "We're happy to see you."
"Sup, fuckers." greeted Blitzo, trying to be funny.
"Please, come in," said Asmodeus, inviting him inside the mansion.
Blitzo stepped inside the mansion, and his eyes widened as he looked around.
"Wow, this place is huge," he said, amazed.
"Thank you, Blitzo." said Asmodeus, smiling. "It's the best we could do with what we had."
"You can go and choose one of the guest rooms upstairs, and unpack your stuff," said Fizzarolli.
"Alright." said Blitzo, heading upstairs.
"So, how does it feel to be here, Blitzo?" asked Asmodeus.
"A bit intimidating, to be honest," replied Blitzo, laughing.
"Don't worry, we'll take good care of you," said Asmodeus, gently.
"I'll do my best," replied Blitzo, his voice trembling.
Then, they heard someone approaching.
"Hello, Blitzy," said Stolas, appearing behind them.
"Stolas!" exclaimed Blitzo, surprised.
"It's nice to see you, Blitzy. How are you doing?" asked Stolas.
"I'm fine, thanks."
"I hope you'll have a pleasant time here," said Stolas, smiling.
"I hope so, too," replied Blitzo.
At first, Blitzo had a hard time getting used to Fizzarolli and Asmodeus' extravagant and lavish routine. It was a bit uncomfortable for him, being surrounded by wealth and luxury, but he slowly adapted. The couple did their best to make him feel at home, and even offered him some clothes that would fit his style.
One evening, the trio was sitting on the balcony, enjoying a drink.
"I've noticed something," said Blitzo, after taking a sip of his cocktail.
"What is it, Blitzo?" asked Asmodeus.
"It seems you have a lot of free time here," he answered, pointing at the couple's fancy clothing.
"Yeah, we do." admitted Fizzarolli.
"You don't do anything besides drinking, playing, and spending money?" asked Blitzo. "To me, this feels like vacation, not real life. When we will be at my house, we will need to spend time trying to make sure we can survive. That's a bit more important than playing games, don't you think?"
"You're right, Blitzo," said Fizzarolli, sighing. "I never thought of it that way. You're taking this very seriously, it seems. I'm glad."
"But isn't it fun, Blitzo?" asked Asmodeus.
"Fun is nice, but surviving is much more important. I think you guys are a bit too pampered," replied Blitzo, seriously.
"I'm sorry, Blitzo. We didn't mean to make you feel like that." apologized Fizzarolli.
"I also think this is a bit boring. Don't you like to get high, drunk, and break things? That's way more exciting, if you ask me," said Blitzo, grinning.
"Well, I guess we can do that sometimes," said Fizzarolli, chuckling.
"Sounds like a good idea to me," agreed Asmodeus.
"Do you know beer pong?" asked Blitzo.
"Yes," answered Asmodeus.
"We do," said Fizzarolli.
"Wanna play a round?" asked Blitzo.
"Sure," replied the couple, excited.
And they started a very heated game of beer pong.
After a few rounds, they were all drunk and exhausted.
"This is so much more fun, right?!" exclaimed Blitzo, ecstatic.
"Your hair is beautiful," complimented a drunk Fizzarolli, caressing Asmodeus' hair.
"Oh, thank you, Fizzy," replied Asmodeus, flustered.
"Can I touch your horns?" asked Blitzo, staring at Fizzarolli's horns.
"No, you may not," replied Asmodeus, frowning.
"Come on, don't be like that, I just want to touch them," whined Blitzo.
"You're drunk, Blitzo," said Asmodeus.
"And so are you, asshole." retorted Blitzo, slurring.
"Guys, stop fighting," said Fizzarolli, who was lying down on the floor.
"We're not fighting," replied Blitzo.
"Okay," sighed Fizzarolli. "Let's go to bed."
"Agreed," said Asmodeus, standing up.
They went upstairs and entered their room.
"Good night, Fizzy," said Asmodeus, kissing his boyfriend's forehead.
"Good night, Oz," replied Fizzarolli. "Sweet dreams."
"You too," said Asmodeus, closing his eyes.
Fizzarolli's thoughts were swirling in his head, making it hard for him to fall asleep.
In the morning, they woke up, feeling very tired and hungover.
"Ugh, I'm gonna throw up," groaned Blitzo.
"Same," complained Fizzarolli.
"This was fun, though," said Asmodeus, laughing.
"Yeah, it was," agreed Fizzarolli.
Then, a voice was heard coming from downstairs.
"Fizzy! Oz! Breakfast is ready!" shouted the chef.
"Come on, guys, let's go," said Fizzarolli, leading the way downstairs.
"Wait you have a chef? That's fucking awesome!" exclaimed Blitzo, excited.
"Yeah, it's nice," said Asmodeus, shrugging.
"I would die for a meal like this every day," said Blitzo, drooling.
"Don't say that," replied Fizzarolli, shaking his head.
They sat down and ate their breakfast, and enjoyed the delicious food.
"This is the best thing I've ever eaten," said Blitzo, his mouth full of food.
"Thanks," said the chef, smiling.
After breakfast, the group decided to take a walk outside the mansion.
"You know, Blitzo, we were thinking," said Fizzarolli.
"Yeah?" replied Blitzo, curious.
"Maybe we could try a little bit harder to survive, if you know what I mean." explained Fizzarolli. "We can make a deal: We help you with surviving in your district, and you help us with adapting, teaching your ways."
"That sounds good to me," replied Blitzo, smiling.
"Deal?" asked Fizzarolli.
"Deal," replied Blitzo.
They shook hands, sealing the deal.
The next day, they started their first task: gardening.
"So, how does it work?" asked Asmodeus.
"Well, it's pretty simple," explained Blitzo. "You just have to plant the seeds and water them every day."
"Easy enough," replied Asmodeus.
Then, the three of them went to work, planting the seeds and watering the soil.
"Like this?" asked Fizzarolli, uncertain.
"Yeah, just like that," said Blitzo.
"Cool, this is so much fun," exclaimed Asmodeus, his voice filled with excitement.
"I'm glad you're having a good time, Oz," replied Fizzarolli.
"I've always wanted to have a garden, you know," said Asmodeus, smiling.
"You do? Why didn't you say so?" asked Fizzarolli, surprised.
"I didn't know if you would be interested," replied Asmodeus.
Then some time passed, and the plants still hadn't sprouted. Asmodeus was looking rather bored.
"Blitzo, can I ask you something?" asked Fizzarolli, serious.
"Go ahead, buddy." answered Blitzo.
"This gardening stuff is very important to you, right?"
"Yeah, of course," answered Blitzo.
"But why, if there's nothing there? No fruits or vegetables to harvest?"
"You see, it's not about the food. It's about the process. It's about the feeling of doing something and watching it grow," explained Blitzo, his voice full of passion.
"I see," said Fizzarolli, nodding his head.
Then, they noticed the plants starting to sprout.
"Look! They're sprouting!" said Asmodeus, who was using magic to speed up the process.
"But... the process" said Blitzo, disheartened.
"Oh, don't be such a downer, Blitzo," said Fizzarolli, laughing.
"Yeah, come on, it's not that bad," said Asmodeus, smiling.
"Fine," replied Blitzo, giving up.
"Yay, the plants are growing!" exclaimed Fizzarolli.
And the group continued tending to their new garden, happy and satisfied.
"So what else can we do? The week is nearly over. We can't let things end here," asked Fizzarolli, worried.
"Yeah, you're right," said Asmodeus. "We should take him to a fancy restaurant, or a show."
"That's a great idea," agreed Fizzarolli.
"Wait, hold on a second, guys," protested Blitzo.
"What's wrong, Blitzo?" asked Asmodeus.
"Listen, I'm flattered by your kindness, really, but this is a bit too much. I'm used to living in poverty, not to this lifestyle," said Blitzo, frowning.
"Oh come on Blitzo. You have this week to experience the higher class life, what would you rather do? You might never have another chance after all" said Fizzarolli, smirking.
"Alright fine." agreed Blitzo.
Asmodeus smiled and led the group towards the fancy restaurant.
"Welcome, Prince Asmodeus. How are you doing today?" asked the receptionist, a succubus.
"I'm doing well, thank you," replied Asmodeus, smiling.
"Do you have a reservation?"
"Yes, for three," said Asmodeus.
"Excellent," replied the succubus. "Right this way."
The group followed the succubus and were led to a table near the window, with a view of the city.
"So, what would you like to order, Blitzo?" asked Fizzarolli, excited.
"Uh, I don't know. Do they have fried rat and caramelised cockroaches here?" asked Blitzo.
Fizzarolli's eyes widened and he shook his head, signaling to Blitzo to not mention this to Asmodeus.
"Uh, no. We have steak, lobster, and other fine dishes." replied Asmodeus, hiding his disgust.
"Oh, okay. Then I'll have the steak," said Blitzo.
"Excellent choice," replied Asmodeus.
After ordering their meals, the group waited for their food.
"This is quite an unusual experience for me, you know," said Blitzo. "Never been inside a fancy restaurant before."
"It's a great experience, isn't it?" asked Fizzarolli, smiling.
"Yeah, it's nice," replied Blitzo.
"Well well, lookie here. A rat inside my restaurant?" said a voice behind them.
"Who the fuck is this?" asked Blitzo.
"You don't know me? Asmodeus, why is your dog seating with you at the table?" asked the colorful fox.
"Come on Beelzebub, why are you talking like that?" pleaded Fizzarolli.
"Are you not embarrassed being seen with this dirty imp? You should know better than that, Fizzarolli, or have you gone back to your roots?" replied the fox, disgusted.
"Shut up, Beelzebub," said Fizzarolli, angry.
"Why don't you go back to your cave, and leave us alone," said Asmodeus, frowning.
"I can kick you out whenever I want, idiots." said Beelzebub. "Or you could just leave, and not cause a scene. You're embarrassing yourself, and you're bringing shame to our name, Asmodeus."
"Fuck you, Beelzebub," spat Asmodeus.
"Come on, guys. Let's get out of here," said Fizzarolli, standing up. "Come on, Blitzo"
"Why the fuck is this fox talking to us like this?" said Blitzo.
"You can't do anything against her. Because she's royalty," explained Fizzarolli, his voice trembling with anger.
"I would kick her ass if she wasn't royalty, bitch." said Blitzo.
"That would only cause trouble. She's a powerful demon, and could vaporise you at any moment."
"Whatever." said Blitzo.
"Don't mind her, Blitzo. This was supposed to be a fun night," said Fizzarolli, apologetic.
"Let's just go back and get wasted," suggested Asmodeus.
"Great idea," agreed Blitzo.
As the trio left the restaurant, Beelzebub smirked and called a waiter. "Please clean this seat very well, that rat might have had rabies or something." and laughed.
As they were trying to get wasted, the trio was feeling a bit down. As much as they could get along and try to learn from each other, the other princes weren't going to help. They had to rely on each other and themselves.
"This sucks." said Fizzarolli, pouring himself another drink.
"The higher class. They're all assholes," replied Blitzo, shaking his head. "I knew this was useless."
"I agree, most of them are stuck up, selfish, and mean." said Asmodeus.
"Yeah, that's why I'm leaving," said Blitzo, finishing his drink. "There's no point in trying to improve the situation."
"Don't say that Blitz... Let's have fun tonight, and tomorrow we will switch houses. We can still do good and maybe the lower class will treat us well enough" suggested Fizzarolli, sad.
"Maybe..." agreed Blitzo, reluctantly.
Then, Fizzarolli turned the music up, and the trio started dancing.
After a few hours of drinking and dancing, the group was getting tired and sleepy.
"Okay guys, I think we should go home now."
The next morning, the trio woke up and got ready to go to Blitzo's shack.
"I can't wait to go back to that dump. It's going to be awesome." said Blitzo, sarcastically.
"Don't say that, Blitzo. It's not that bad," said Fizzarolli.
At this point, the trio was ready to go, hoping to get in good relationship with the population of the suburbs.
