Chapter 138 (Christmas Special)

The arena echoed with the booming rock music of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" as the crowd cheered when the show began. They surrounded a wrestling ring where Sayuri Rogue stood wearing a Santa Clause outfit. She bowed to the crowd as she made her address with a microphone in her hand.

"Ho, ho, ho! Happy holidays! Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza! You name it, we're here to celebrate it! Welcome to the 2023 Christmas Special! Tonight, nine contests of strength, skill, and Christmas spirit will be held! Now, to make up for missing out on last year's Christmas special, Xtrema will be sharing this event with another wrestling company: WWE! That's right, my girls will be going against the female superstars of the World Wrestling Entertainment! Whoever wins these events will not only get a free Santa hat, but they will also be in the running for the MVP! Whoever loses, however, will have to wear an ugly Christmas sweater for the rest of the night! And whoever becomes the MVP at the end of the night will wish for any Christmas present they want, within reason of course! Now, let the Christmas Special begin!"

*Sam Hamilton vs Liv Morgan*

After Sayuri left for the announcer's table, two more women took her place in opposite corners of the ring. One was Sam Hamilton, who wore makeup, a black suit, a spider collar, and a gray bald cap that made her look unbelievably similar to Jack Skellington from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". The other was Liv Morgan. They both readied themselves for a match while Sayuri announced the match.

"The following match is a standard match between Xtrema's very own cosplayer, Sam Hamilton (who clearly decided to dress as Jack Skellington), and WWE's talented Liv Morgan! The rules are fairly normal; fight until someone is pinned or taps outs! Let's get this match started!"

DING-DING!

Sam and Liv flashed smiles at one another as they circled the ring. Liv attempted to lock up with Sam, but the cosplayer dropped backwards onto her hands and countered with a kick with her bony legs. Liv was pushed back holding onto her stomach as Sam kipped back up to her feet. She then ran at Liv to fire a roundhouse kick at her, but Liv raised both of her arms to block the kick. She threw Sam's foot down and jumped on her. She then fired a few blows to her head before Sam threw her off. Sam got back up to her feet before Liv fired an elbow blow at her before throwing her over with a vertical suplex. She then attempted an early pin.

Sam quickly kicked out of the pin and sat up only to get kicked in the back by Liv, who then held her in a side headlock. She intended to tire her out, but Sam shot her leg up to kick her in the face and make her let go. She got back up and hit Liv with a clothesline. She recovered only to be clotheslined again. When she got back up, Sam hit her with a dropkick before covering her with a pin.

Liv shot her shoulder up and got back up, but Sam quickly grabbed her arm and attempted to Irish whip her to the corner, but Liv turned the tables on Sam and threw her instead. Sam Hamilton hit the turnbuckle and Liv ran to hit her with her elbow, but at the last second, Sam crouched down to dodge it and countered by grabbing Liv's head and slamming it to the top turnbuckle.

While Liv moved back to recover, Sam climbed up the corner she was in and stood on the top ropes. When Liv turned back around, Sam jumped off and landed a cross-body splash which she then rolled off of. She got back up and dropped three elbow drops to Liv Morgan before hooking her leg for the pin.

1… 2…

Liv kicked out of that. Sam then picked Liv up to a standing position before firing a kick at her stomach and putting her in a guillotine hold. She prepared her for her own vertical suplex, but Liv Morgan struck first and reversed the suplex with her own. Sam bounced on the mat and staggered to her feet before leaning on the ropes. Liv saw her chance and ran up to Sam before hitting her with her finishing move: ObLIVion. Once the move connected, Liv rolled Sam onto her back and hooked her leg for the pin.

1… 2… 3!

DING-DING!

Liv removed herself from Sam and received her Santa hat while the cosplayer got her ugly sweater. While they received their gifts, Sayuri Rogue announced the conclusion.

"Well, as you can see, Liv Morgan picked up the first win for WWE! Sorry for Sam that her new sweater clashes with her Jack Skellington get-up, but that's the price to pay! For now, let's head over to the next match!"

*Carly X vs Alexa Bliss*

Liv Morgan and Sam Hamilton cleared the stage to make room for the next wrestlers. In one corner, Carly X stood glaring at her opponent. In the other corner, Alexa Bliss gave the Stylish Tiger a smug smile.

"For our second match, we have Xtrema's Carly X against WWE's Alexa Bliss in a special match called Naughty or Nice! In this match, the heel of the match—aka Alexa Bliss—is free to use whatever means necessary to win. She can go for low blows, choke her opponent on the ropes, and even use weapons. Carly X, however, is still bound to the standard rules, so while she has to fight fair, Alexa Bliss isn't bound by the rules! Who will win this match? Well, only one way to find out!"

DING-DING!

"Hope you're ready to play with the big girls, kid." Alexa taunted as she met Carly in the center of the ring and locked up with her.

Carly X broke the tie-up by pulling Alexa in for a side headlock. "Big girls? We're practically the same height."

Alexa Bliss freed herself by pushing Carly off and launching her to the rope. When she ran back, Alexa dropped to the floor and let Carly run over her. When Carly ran to the other side, she bounced back only for Alexa to throw a roundhouse kick sending her down to the ground. Alexa dropped herself on top of Carly and hooked her leg for the pin.

Carly X managed to kick out and get back up. However, Alexa Bliss began bombarding her with elbow shots and sending her to the corner. Alexa stood back a few feet before flipping back to the corner. Her plan was to slam her back on Carly, but the Stylish Tiger stepped out of the way allowing Alexa to collide with the corner on her own.

Carly sent a kick to the head of the stunned Alexa and knocked her down. She then rolled Alexa facedown and sat on her back. She pulled on her legs tightly in a Boston crab. Alexa screamed finding herself in the hold. Thankfully, Alexa was able to head to the ropes and grab the bottom one. Carly was forced to let go.

Alexa Bliss used the ropes to pick herself up, and when Carly X got close enough, Little Miss Bliss quickly grabbed her and slammed her to the middle rope. With a devilish grin, Alexa pressed her knee on Carly's back pressing her neck further and further to the rope. And the referee couldn't stop her because the rules didn't apply to her.

After releasing Carly, Alexa Bliss got out of the ring and opened up the apron. She reached in and pulled out a steel chair which she brought back to the ring. That's about the same time that Carly returned to her feet. She turned to find Alexa about to hit her with the steel chair. Thankfully, Carly caught it and swiped it out of Alexa's hands. She was tempted to use it herself, but according to the rules, she was forbidden to.

Carly dropped the chair and returned to face Alexa who was about to dropkick her. Thankfully, Carly dodged out of the way and returned with a soccerball kick while she was still in the air. Alexa landed on the mat with a pained stomach. Carly then ran to the ropes and bounced off. She returned to the seated Alexa with a dropkick planting her back on the mat. She then hooked her leg.

1… 2…

Alexa managed to move her shoulders up just in time to save herself. Though she was starting to get frustrated, Carly picked Alexa up and toss her to the corner. She ran to hit her, but Alexa kicked with both feet stopping her in her tracks. She then bounced to the middle turnbuckle and bounced off landing another dropkick from above. With Carly down, Alexa picked the steel chair back up and slammed it not once, not twice, but thrice on Carly's body. With that, she threw the steel chair away and covered her again.

Carly X used every last ounce of her strength to kick out, which frustrated Alexa Bliss. She headed to the nearest corner and climb up. She stood at the top rope before flying off and going for her finishing move, Twisted Bliss. Thankfully for Carly, she rolled out of the way allowing Alexa to hit the mat hard.

Both girls were exhausted and sore, but Carly got back up first. Alexa came second. They looked at each other with heavy breaths and collided hitting each other with punches to their heads. They both broke the stalemate and Alexa fired a kick aimed at Carly's stomach. The Stylish Tiger, however, caught the foot and spun Alexa around. She then threw her own kick at Alexa's stomach and connected with it. With Alexa down, Carly put Alexa in a guillotine hold before jumping up and crashing down in a DDT-X. When Alexa was sprawled on the mat, Carly covered her for the pin.

1… 2… 3!

DING-DING!

Carly rolled off of Alexa and laid next to her. The ringside crew got in the ring and put a Santa hat on Carly while others slipped an ugly sweater on Alexa Bliss.

"What a close match everybody! Carly X and Alexa Bliss were neck and neck, but it looks like the tiger managed to break the bliss, even though the bliss was able to fight dirty! The nice list won and Carly X just became a nominee for the MVP! Let's see who else gets to join her!"

*Thunder Mana vs Beth Phoenix*

After Carly X and Alexa Bliss left the ring, a crew arrived and planted bells on top of each ring post. While they did that, two more wrestlers entered the ring. One was Thunder Mana and the other was Beth Phoenix. They met at the center of the ring where a crew member connects them both with a green and red rope wrapped around one of each woman's wrists. Once they were tightly secured, the crewman left the ring allowing Thunder Mana and Beth Phoenix to glare into each other's eyes.

"For this next match, we're entering a classic Christmas Special match called a Jingle Bell Strap Match. The rules our simple, these two women—Thunder Mana and Beth Phoenix—must ring each bell in the corners to win! The only catch is, they are bound by this wrapping binding them together! First to ring all four bells is the winner!"

DING-DING!

Beth Phoenix gave a nod before holding her hands up. She was challenging Thunder Mana to a test of strength, which she accepted. The two gripped each other's hands and struggled for dominance. After a minute, Beth was beginning to gain the advantage by twisting Mana's arms. Just then, Mana looked down and saw that Beth's foot was in the middle of a hoop made from the colorful rope. She gave it a quick tug knocking Beth off-balance for a bit. That gave Mana the chance she needed to hit Beth with a Spartan kick and send her down.

With Beth down, Mana quickly grabbed a handful of rope and tied it around both of Beth's ankles. With Beth immobilized, Mana had no trouble heading to the nearest corner and ringing the first bell. Of course, that was when Beth freed her ankles and stood back up. She followed that with a running clothesline that sent Mana down. Beth turned to the bell and rang it putting them both in a tie.

Beth attempted to head to the next bell, but Thunder Mana stopped her by grabbing her foot and tripping her. She then returned to her feet and applied an ankle lock squeezing it in her arms. Although submissions wouldn't count, she knew that enough damage would be a problem for the Glamazon.

Beth Phoenix gritted her teeth before she rolled to her back and sent a kick at Mana with her other leg. Thunder Mana was forced to let go allowing her opponent to stand back up. Thunder Mana grabbed at Beth's shoulders, but her opponent stopped her with a knee to the stomach followed by a headbutt. Thunder Mana didn't get phased however. She not only endured the headbutt, she countered with one of her own. Beth staggered back allowing Thunder Mana to spear her. The impact shook the ring as they landed right near another turnbuckle. Thunder Mana stood up and rang it earning her the second point.

Thunder Mana looked and saw Beth getting up to her hands and knees and delivered a kick. However, Beth caught the foot and stood back up. She then pushed Mana back to the corner and turned her around where she grabbed her by her head and slammed it on the bell making it ring and technically giving Beth her second point.

Beth pulled Mana back and throw her in a German suplex. She then looked to the remaining two bells, but knew the rope wouldn't allow her to get close to them from where she was now. So the gave a few stomps to Mana before grabbing her hands and pulling her to the nearest corner that hadn't been touched yet.

Once she was close enough, Beth headed to the corner and rang the bell. The score was now 3-2 in Beth' favor, and she had to ring the final bell to do that. But first thing's first, she looked and saw Mana recovering. She stopped her by clinching onto her and slamming her elbow into her back to put her back down. She then grinded her elbow deep into her back. Once she was done, Beth decided to knock Mana out completely. She sat on her back, pulled her head up, and locked her in a dragon sleeper hold.

Thunder Mana struggled to stay awake as Beth Phoenix's biceps were crushing her neck. She fought to raise her arm trying to stay conscious. Soon enough, Mana got enough strength to grab Beth's arm and use it to pick herself up. Once she was back on her feet, she used her other arm to drive her elbow to Beth's stomach. She was forced to let Mana go and get picked up by her over her shoulders. She slammed her back down onto her knee. She then pushed the Glamazon off and headed to the corner where she rang her third bell.

The score was tied now. Thunder Mana looked over at the third bell she needed to ring in order to win. She stepped over Beth and reached out her hand to ring it. But before she could, her other arm was pulled back. She turned and saw Beth tugging hard on the rope that connected them and keeping her in place. Thunder Mana growled and pulled back while Beth stood back up to her feet.

It was a tug of war contest where the two powerhouse women pulled hard for the advantage. Beth then smirked as she stopped pulling, and instead, ran toward Thunder Mana taking her by surprise with a clothesline. Beth then picked Mana up by her arms and held her up before landing her iconic Glam Slam. With Mana down and the bell right next to her, Beth had no trouble standing up and ringing for the fourth and final time.

DING-DING!

The crew returned to the ring and untied the two powerhouses. They then gave Beth her Santa hat and Mana her ugly sweater.

"Your winner for the Jingle Bell Strap match is Beth Phoenix! Although she and Thunder Mana were equal in raw strength, the Glamazon managed to slip a victory and win the match! Well, enough of that! Time for the next match!"
