Riley stares at the tall glowing structure from top to bottom. It has have to something that can help right? Why else would it be overlooking everything as if it were a security office. She knows that no matter what she does, she must get to that building. Whatever it was.
"Alright, how do I get up there?" Riley quietly mumbled to herself.
Then, the obvious idea comes to Riley. "Oh!" She exclaims. "I should just walk over to the build. I can do that no problem." Riley said, as she began chuckling to herself over how stupid this situation was. It was starting to seem comical to her.
Riley starts making her way away from Hockey Island. She did want to see what that place was all about, as she was interested in what those giant hockey sticks were for. Whatever it was, she wanted to see it for herself.
But before she could start walking towards the tall structure, she hears voices again. Riley, in a moment of panic, runs back to Hockey Island and hides behind the giant cup, as the voices walk past Riley. She was able to make out some of what was being said.
"So has Riley gone to sleep or is this place malfunctioning again like last time?" the first mind worker says to his partner.
"Riley definitely went to sleep. I mean the sky changes when she wakes up or goes to sleep. So, I'm sure it's nothing." the second mind worker says with a relaxed tone.
"Well either way, we'll find out." The first mind worker says. And with that, the voices faded away. Riley had not been discovered, but she heard very clearly what they said when they unknowingly passed her.
Has Riley gone to sleep? Riley thinks to herself. "What are they talking about?" Riley asked herself in confusion. "And what did those people mean when they said, "Malfunctioning again like last time?"" Riley said as she pondered as to what they could've meant.
As Riley started walking away from Hockey Island again and started towards the tall structure, she was trying to analyze the strange situation that she was in.
"Okay let's see. There was a portal in my dream, I came to whatever this place is through that portal, and I'm guessing somehow, this place has something to do with…me" Riley explained to herself. She realized how crazy it sounded.
Riley was so distracted in walking towards the tall structure, and trying to analyze her situation, that she didn't noticed that she was walking feet first into a bottomless pit. Riley was mid thought when she finally managed to catch herself.
"Woah!" Riley exclaims, as she starts waving her arms, trying to regain her balance, making sure she wouldn't fall into the abyss below her. Riley saw where she was and quickly backed up to avoid falling.
Sighs "Now how am I supposed to get to that building?" Riley moans, as she looked at the tall building, and then down at the bottomless pit.
"Ugh. Of course, something like this would get in my way." Riley mumbles in frustration. "Now how am I supposed to get to that building, and figure out what this place is?" Riley says. It seemed as if everything was working against Riley, as she stomped her feet on the rocky like ground in anger.
"Get ahold of yourself Riles. Getting angry isn't gonna solve anything. Let's just figure out another way to get over there." Riley said, as she calmed down.
She started to walk away from the bottomless pit she had seen. But as she was walking, she noticed something that she hadn't seen before. "A train!" Riley said with a hint of joy and relief. She had found a way to get where she wanted to go.
Riley started running towards the train, taking note of the fact that it didn't seem to be working at the moment. Riley ignored that thought and prayed that the train would work. Riley climbed into an empty cart of the train and sat down. Unfortunately, the train wasn't moving.
Why isn't the train moving? Riley thought, as she leaned back in anticipation.
If only I could get this train to go to that tall building` "Woah!" Riley yells as the train, without warning, starts moving towards the tall building, interrupting Riley's thoughts.
The train is moving at a normal speed, with Riley unknowingly controlling it to work with her mind, unaware of the fact that she was sending commands to her mind to run this train. Riley is at first fine, until she sees that the train is heading right for the bottomless pit. Riley screams (thankfully no one hears it.) as she prepares to jump off the train.
But before Riley could jump, all of a sudden, the train was going right over the bottomless pit, as tracks were being inexplicably created, much to Riley's shock and confusion.
"What the…" Riley says in confusion. "How is this even happening? This shouldn't even be possible. How is this train…flying?" Riley said to herself. She was amazed. She had no idea that this train could create tracks out of complete nothingness.
Riley looked behind her and the train to see the track disappearing. For a moment, worry came over Riley's head that the train was gonna run out of track. But then she put it together that the train can infinitely create track.
Before she could relax, all of a sudden, the train came to a complete halt. Riley was jerked forward but managed not to fall off. She looked from both sides of the train, and noticed where she was.
She was at the tall building. Somehow, she had managed to get the train to take her from the land she was just on, to this tower-like structure, standing over everything. Even more amazing, the train she took somehow had the ability to defy physics and fly, while also creating infinite track.
Okay, that was awesome. Riley thought to herself. As she got off the train and was standing in front of a mysterious door.
"There can be plenty of time to ride that train again, but for now, I need to focus on why I came here, and that's to find out where in the world I am." Riley said, as she regained a straight face, and continued with her mission.
She had made it this far. She traveled through a portal, found a bunch of glowing bookshelves and floating islands, heard people talking about her specifically, survived almost falling into a bottomless pit, and found a magic train, all just to get here.
"If I somehow survive this journey, I am definitely telling someone." Riley mused to herself. A small part of her was having fun.
Just as Riley was about to knock on the door, she suddenly remembered what she heard those voices talking about earlier. She wanted to find out what it all meant. If she was lucky, then this place would have any answers she was looking for.
Riley took a deep breath. "Here goes." she said, as she knocked on the door…to Headquarters.
