Chapter 15: The Samurai of Sincerity

The Digidestined were currently in the Digital World, they had been destroying the dark towers as usual. They had slowly been lowering the number of dark towers even with the new ones the Kaiser constantly put up. They were currently taking a small break. Takeru went ahead to check something he had noticed.

Veemon: "Ah… I'm so hungry… is there any more food?"

Daisuke: "Now that you mention it, I'm kinda peckish too.

Miyako: "Maybe I should have gotten more snacks from the store…"

Iori: "It's fine. You shouldn't take so much from your store. If we really cannot continue on, then we can just go back."

Hikari looked at Tailmon who looked slightly disappointed. Tailmon looked back and gave a shrug and a sigh. Hikari giggled in response.

Hikari: "So, should we go back?"

Hawkmon: "That sounds like a good idea."

Just then, Takeru came back to the group.

Hikari: "Hey, we were just thinking of leaving to get food."

Takeru: "No need for that, doesn't this place look a little familiar, Hikari?"

Hikari: "Now that you mention it…"

Tailmon: "Of course... how could I have not realised?"

Takeru: "We don't have to go back for food."

Hikari: "Right, there is some just up ahead."

Daisuke: "You guys have been here before?"

Patamon: "Yep! Up ahead is a place with really good food!"

Tailmon: "It's a haven for all travelling Digimon."

Miyako: "How good is this food?"

Takeru: "Quite good if you're a fan of fast food. Just to check, no one is allergic to potatoes right?"

Daisuke: "That's… a very odd question. And you can be allergic to potatoes?"

Iori: "I think you can be allergic to anything."

Miyako: "I don't think any of us are allergic to potatoes."

Hikari: "Well then, let's go get ourselves some food."

The group then ventured onwards as they found a small restaurant. It looked a little run down.

Daisuke: "You sure this is the place?"

Takeru: "Positive."

Iori: "I just realised… how are we going to pay them? Or is there no money in the Digital World?"

Takeru: "The food is free. As for money…"

Hikari: "That is a matter to ask Koushiro."

As the Digidestined entered the restaurant, they saw a small amount of Digimon inside. The new Digidestined were stunned as they embraced the atmosphere of the mini restaurant. Takeru, Hikari and their partners moved to take a seat at one of the tables. They were quite familiar with the place already.

Daisuke: "Why do they have food from our world here?"

Takeru: "It's quite good as well, I think it can compete with some restaurants in our world as well. Oh yeah, just take your meals off the Kunemon. You can eat anything here. No orders required."

Miyako: "Wow, but there's no way it's all free right?"

Tailmon: "It's free."

"How would they be able to handle a business if everything was free? There has to be some ulterior motive here… right?"

Takeru and Hikari grabbed some food for themselves and their Digimon and promptly began to eat. The new Digidestined took a while but the eventually sat down and began to eat as well.

After the Digidestined finished their food they went over to the counter where they met a small Digimon.

Takeru: "Hi, Burgamon, food was great as always."

Burgamon: "Ah, thank you. It's always a pleasure for the Digidestined to compliment us."

Hikari: "It's no problem, we are telling the truth, your burgers are really some of the best I've had."

Burgamon: "I see…"

Patamon: "What's wrong?"

Burgamon: "It's just… there is a slight issue…"

Tailmon: "What happened?"

Burgamon: "We may have to remove the potatoes from our restaurant again…"

Takeru: "Oh? What happened to Jyagamon?"

Burgamon: "I haven't seen him in quite some time… he may have been taken by that Kaiser person."

Hikari: "When was the last you saw him?"

Burgamon: "Some Airdramon attacked this haven… and Jyagamon bought time for us to escape… I haven't seen him since then…"

Iori: "It was likely when he put up a dark tower here… we've already destroyed the ones around this area so it should be more peaceful now."

Patamon: "But Jyagamon was an ultimate, which means if the Kaiser got to him…"

Tailmon: "He likely used a dark spiral, which is still able to operate without a dark tower."

Burgamon: "Is it ok if I ask you Digidestined for a favor?"

Miyako glared at Burgamon, from her place near the back of the group.

"I knew it, they do have an ulterior motive…"

Takeru: "You want us to fight Jyagamon? We are willing."

Burgamon: "Really? I can't thank you enough Digidestined!"

Burgamon went over to all the Digidestined and shook their hands but stopped at Miyako. He saw Miyako's light glare and got scared so he went to hide behind Hikari.

Burgamon: "Scary…"

The Digidestined were slightly confused at Miyako's glare, but they were interrupted when they heard a loud cry and the sound of explosions.

Takeru: "Shoot. That must be him… Burgamon, where is Lunamon?"

Burgamon: "Lunamon is at a small safe house nearby. Around that direction."

Burgamon pointed off towards a direction, which Takeru and Hikari took note of.

Hikari: "Daisuke, Miyako, Iori, hold off Jyagamon for a bit. Takeru and I will get Lunamon here. Watch out for the potatoes that Jyagamon launches. They will explode and hurt you if you're not careful."

Daisuke: "Got it. Let's do this!"

Daisuke/Miyako/Iori: "Digimental Up!"

"Veemon, Armor-Evolution! Fladramon! Burning Courage!"

"Hawkmon, Armor-Evolution! Holsmon! Wings of Love!"

"Armadimon, Armor-Evolution! Digmon! Steel Knowledge!"

The Digidestined ran outside and saw Jyagamon with a large dark spiral on it.

Daisuke: "Quickly, we will hold him off for as long as we can!"

Hikari: "Thanks, Digimen-"

Takeru: "Wait, Hikari. There's no dark towers here."

Hikari: "You're right… in that case. Tailmon!"

Tailmon: "Got it, Hikari."

Takeru: "You too, Patamon!"

"Patamon Evolution! Angemon!"

"Tailmon Super-Evolution! Angewomon!"

The Angels picked up their partners and quickly set off towards the safe house, while the new Digidestined held off Jyagamon.

Fladramon: "Knuckle Fire!"

Digmon: "Gold Rush!"

Jyagamon roared and launched potatoes towards the attacks. The potatoes burst through the attacks and landed next to Digmon and Fladramon. They began to glow purple as they exploded in front of Fladramon and Digmon, causing them to fly back and revert to Veemon and Armadimon.

Daisuke: "Shoot, Veemon!"

Veemon: "Don't worry about me, Daisuke… I can still fight!"

Iori: "We need speed for this… Digmon and I won't be as useful. It's up to you two to buy time for Takeru and Hikari."

Daisuke: "Got it, Digimental Up!"

"Veemon, Armor-Evolution! Lighdramon! Storm of Friendship!"

As Jyagamon shot more potatoes, more digimon fled from the restaurant. Miyako had observed it all from above.

"Tch, their friend is being controlled and all they can think of is to run? Heck some of them there look strong enough to help and they're running?"

Daisuke: "Shoot, what are we supposed to do? We can't keep dodging these!"

Just then Burgamon ran up to Jyagamon.

Burgamon: "Jyagamon! Don't do this! This is everyone's safe haven! Please stop!"

Jyagamon looked and hesitated for a moment before roaring again and moving its foot forward, right above Burgamon.

Miyako: "Shoot, Holsmon! Get him!"

Holsmon: "Got it, Miyako!"

Holsmon swooped down and Miyako grabbed onto Burgamon just before Jyagamon stomped down. Immediately, Jyagamon summoned a ring of potatoes around him, revolving at rapid speeds. Holsmon was unable to move away fast enough and got hit by the ring sending him towards the Digidestined, with Miyako and Burgamon getting sent flying as well. Holsmon reverted to Hawkmon.

Miyako: "What were you thinking? Don't be so reckless!"

Burgamon: "Sorry… but I just thought I could bring him back…"

Miyako: "Don't try that again, just stay out of the way!"

Burgamon: "Scary… Sorry… I didn't mean to be in the way… I just wanted to help my friends…"

Miyako suddenly had a look of shock on her face.

"I was wrong… he… I judged him so quickly… I thought he just wanted to take advantage of us… but… he just wanted his friends… And then I shouted at him for just trying to help…"

Miyako: "I-I'm sorry, Burgamon. That was uncalled for."

Burgamon: "What?"

Miyako: "Sorry, I judged you far too quickly. But this time I was wrong, I'm sorry Burgamon."

Burgamon: "But you had to save me still."

Miyako: "That's true, but I shouldn't have shouted at you. I always judge a book by its cover, and it causes me to have very quick opinions of people, but that's just the girl that I am. Sure, I may make mistakes, but I won't change my ways just because of them. I'll just have to adapt to them!"

Just then, a small egg from the ground emerged and went into Miyako's arms.

Daisuke: "Is that…"

Iori: "A Digimental..?"

Knowledge: "Kari, T.K, Davis, Digimental at your location, signature is for Sincerity."

Hope: "Got it, Izzy."

Light: "Davis, what's happening over there?"

Courageous Friendship: "I'm not sure, it came out of the ground and went to Mi- uhh Yolei."

Hope: "That means it's probably her's."

Light: "Buy us a little more time, we are coming back with Lunamon."

Miyako: "Then this Digimental… is mine?"

Hawkmon: "Miyako! Let's do this!"

Miyako: "Right, Digimental Up!"

"Hawkmon, Armor-Evolution! Shurimon! Winds of Sincerity!"

Jyagamon roared and created another ring of potatoes around him. Shurimon narrowed his eyes and threw his Shuriken at the perfect timing.

Shurimon: "Kusanagi!"

The shuriken managed to pass through the gaps between the potatoes and struck Jyagamon, causing it to flinch backwards. Just then Angemon came flying down, striking Jyagamon's dark spiral with his Angel Rod. Angemon then spun rapidly and the bubbles that Lunamon was producing flew off to all the potatoes, causing them to stop exploding. Angewomon shot multiple arrows down around Jyagamon to limit his movement.

Angewomon: "I will keep him still! Use precise attacks to break the dark spiral!"

Shurimon: "Autumn Wind!"

Shurimon extended his arms and struck the dark spiral, causing it to crack. Angemon looked towards Takeru, who was in Angewomon's arms with Hikari and Lunamon. Takeru nodded at him and Angemon nodded back. He held his rod in front of him before it burst into feathers. Angemon absorbed them into his hand before bringing it back and aiming for the dark spiral.

Angemon: "Heaven's Knuckle!"

The attack hit the dark spiral causing it to shatter. All the Digidestined cheered as Jyagamon fell to the ground.

The Digidestined and their partners were around Jyagamon as they waited for him to wake up.

Daisuke: "You sure he is… ok?"

Takeru: "Probably. It would take a lot more than that to hurt an ultimate Digimon."

Patamon: "Sorry, I hit him too hard. It's been too long since we have used our proper evolution to fight. I didn't hold back enough."

Tailmon: "It's fine, we may be strong as Holy Digimon, but you won't be able to do major damage to an ultimate digimon unless they have darkness within them."

Burgamon: "Ah! He's waking up!"

Hikari: "Welcome back, Jyagamon. Are you feeling ok?"

Jyagamon gave a soft response with a smile.

Takeru: "It's good to have you back Jyagamon."

Burgamon: "Thank you, Digidestined! You will always be welcome to come here whenever you need rest!"

Iori: "Thank you, Burgamon. We will be sure to keep that in mind."

With that, the Digidestined left the Digital World and went back to Koushiro's office.

Kaiser's Base

Ken: "Hmm, yes the data of this Digimon would fit perfectly."

That's the end for this chapter. Honestly, this chapter kinda sucked and I kinda hated it. It was hard to write this one. You would probably know that Shurimon's "Winds of Sincerity" in his evo is a line I came up with. I thought it kinda worked cos Shurimon is supposed to be a fast and agile fighter. It's because in the Japanese version, it's "bursting Purity" and I can't use that since I'm using the dub names for the crests. And I also didn't exactly like the dub version where it was just straight up "The samurai of Sincerity". So, I made my own. :P Shurimon's 'Autumn Wind' attack is actually one of the only Digimon attacks that I know of where in the anime they say it in Japanese.
