Disclaimer: This is Geoff and Brody's first ever TDW Tag Team Championship Open Challenge as they will defend it against any tag team from the wrestling world...but who's first? Let's find our right now.
"Welcome back as we have Mike, Alejandro, Harold, and Lightning in the Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match for the TDW World Heavyweight later tonight as they are back in the locker room getting ready, and during the commercial break Devon Joseph was talking to Daniel King." Jim Ross said as Devon was in his office.
"Well, I want back in the match, because just I got assaulted a little bit earlier that does not mean I can't compete later tonight…I can sure as hell compete." Devon Joseph told Daniel.
"You want back in? You got it tonight, it'll now be a Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match for the TDW World Heavyweight Championship with Alejandro, Harold, Lightning, and Mike…good luck." Daniel said as Devon left the locker room.
"Now, we go to the Surfer's Open Challenge." Joey Styles said as the bell rang.
"The following contest is the first ever Surfer's Open Challenge and it's for the TDW Tag Team Championships!" Justin Roberts announced as "Bonfire" played as Geoff and Brody came out to cheers.
"Introducing first, from Vancouver British Columbia Canada…at a combined weight of 506 Pounds…they are the current TDW Tag Team Champions, Geoff Michaels and Brody Sharp, they are The Surfer Bros!" Justin Roberts announced as they got to the ring and the crowd cheered heavily until the music and cheering died down.
"Ladies, and gents…I know I lost the TDW World Heavyweight Championship last week to CM Punk but to be honest, it was getting difficulty pulling double duty, anyway this open challenge is once a week against the best tag teams in all of pro wrestling from the WWE, to NXT, to TNA, NJWP, AJWP, NWA and against some of the best like we defeated the Hardys at SummerBash, and all we know that this team competed in ECW…let's find out who it is." Geoff said on the microphone.
"This is Extreme" by Harry Slash and the Slashtones began to play as Sabu and Rob Van Dam with Bill Alfonso came out as the crowd cheered and began chanting "ECW!"
"Introducing the challengers…at a combined weight of 455 Pounds, they are former ECW World Tag Team Champions, Sabu and Rob Van Dam!" Justin Roberts announced as they got into the ring.
"RVD and Sabu together again for the first time since 2010 and they looking to dethrone The Surfer Bros here tonight at the TDW Arena." Joey Styles said as the crowd chanted "Welcome Back" as they shook hands before RVD and Brody started off the match and the bell sounded.
"This tag team championship match is officially underway as Brody and Rob Van Dam begin this match for their respective teams as they get into a collar and elbow tie up position to start if off." Jim Ross said as RVD nailed a set of Roundhouse Kicks before Brody blocked one and nailed a clothesline before RVD got up and nailed a Dropkick to Brody as he did a roll up.
"There's a roll up by RVD." Edge said as the ref began to count.
"1…" The ref counted as Brody kicked out.
"Brody kicked out and began nailing knees right onto the back of RVD's back." Edge said as Brody kneed Rob Van Dam in the back several time as RVD got up and nailed a dropkick and irish-whipped RVD into the corner for a tag and they did a double big boot to RVD as Geoff went for the cover before the ref began to count.
"1…2…" The ref counted before Sabu broke it up with a leg drop as Geoff began working on RVD again with several belly-to-back suplexes until RVD did a back flip and nailed a German Suplex with a Bridge.
"1…2…" The ref counted before Brody broke up the pin RVD nailed a Rolling Thunder onto Geoff before he tagged in Sabu as he did a Triple Jump Moonsault before RVD nailed a Five-Star-Frog Splash as Sabu pinned Geoff.
"We could have new tag team champions." Jim Ross said as the ref began to count.
"1…2…" The ref counted as Geoff kicked out as he powered up and nailed several clotheslines, not only to Sabu, and not only to RVD, bot also to Bill Alfonso as he nailed Spear as he has Sabu on his shoulders as he tagged in Brody.
"They are going for it here comes Cowabunga Dudes!" Edge said as Brody nailed a Corkscrew Neckbreaker.
"COWABUNGA DUDES!" Joey Styles said as the ref began to count.
"1…2…" The ref counted before Sabu kicked out.
"What?!" Edge said as the crowd was stunned.
"This is awesome." The crowd chanted as Sabu kipped up and grabbed a chair and nailed a Arabian Facebuster onto Brody
"Where did that momentum from Sabu come from?" Jim Ross said as the ref began to count.
"1…2…" The ref counted before Brody kicked out and nailed a Spinebuster.
"He is setting up for "Wipeout" on the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, Sabu." Edge said before Brody nailed it.
"WIPEOUT BY BRODY!" Edge said as the ref began to count.
"1…2…3!" The ref counted as the crowd cheered.
"What a match!" Joey Styles said as Geoff came in and hugged Brody.
"YOU DID IT MAN!" Geoff told him as he hugged him again.
"Your winners, and still the TDW Tag Team Champions…Geoff and Brody, the Surfers!" Justin Roberts announced as the crowd chanted "Surfers!" as RVD, and Sabu got up and offered their hands in a handshake and they accepted.
"We will be back with Owen vs. Cody Runnels in a Street Fight for the TDW Hardcore Championship!" Joey Styles said before the camera faded to black.
