Dumbledore was many things to many people, a teacher, a guardian, an inspiration, a feared enemy, just to name a few.
His achievements were known worldwide, and his influence was immense in the Wizarding World.
Well known to be a kind, eccentric old man with immense wisdom and unrivaled power, Albus Dumbledore had learned from his mistakes. The most important lesson he had learned had been the need to be thorough in all that one does.
This meticulousness was one of the reasons why Hogwarts had prospered under his reign as it did. In his time as the headmaster, he had made several new measures to improve the school along with the lives of the students that attended said school.
One of such measures was related to the enrollment of muggle-born witches and wizards.
Unlike the normal Magical families that received the Hogwarts letters around the end of the month of July via owls, Dumbledore sent his staff to the muggle world personally with the admittance letters for the muggle-borns, starting as early as late June.
This had proven effective in easing a muggle family into the world of magic along with reducing the number of students that received backlash or abuse from their families due to their magical nature.
While this policy had been made mostly for the benefit of muggles, there were some exceptions to that rule as sometimes, such as some children of magic families having to live with non-magic relatives due to certain circumstances. These people were included in this benefit as well. Especially after the war, after which such things had, sadly, become commonplace.
As it so happened, one such exception was one Harry James Potter.
Now, Dumbledore knew that the boy's aunt knew of the magic world, just as he knew of how much she despised it. He had stoll given them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that they supported their nephew, yet it was all for naught.
After failing to receive an affirmation letter in regards to young Harry's enrollment after the first few letters had been sent, Albus Dumbledore had decided to take matters into his own hands.
Hence, he had sent the ever competent Minerva to visit little Harry personally and persuade his family to send him to Hogwarts, or if the need arose, make them.
Which was why Minerva McGonagall now stood in the middle of the living room of the Dursley House, Number Four Privet Drive. Her expression was set in stone as she glared at the rapidly paling residents of the house as they stared at her wand, which was pointed right at them.
"You…daft dunderheads!"
