Sabrina headed to the infirmary on McGonagall's orders, but she honestly didn't like the idea of being checked, she didn't even like physical contact, and she just allowed it to Lily and only because that was the way in which the redhead showed her affection for her, she gave an annoyed snort when she was in front of the door to the infirmary and entered with heaviness and reluctance "Madam Pomfrey" I said, attracting the attention of the nurse who was organizing some medicinal utensils in one of the drawers, she turned to see me, looked at me carefully and asked, "What are you doing here?" asked Madam Pomfrey, Sabrina responded politely "Professor McGonagall sent me for you to check me, I got sick yesterday and she wants to make sure that I am healthy again" the woman eldest remained silent for a few seconds and then said "Sit on the stretcher, I'll will check you in a moment," Madam Pomfrey said attentively while she finished organizing the objects. Sabrina walked in silence, sat on the stretcher and waited for Madam Pomfrey to finish what she was doing, then when Madam Pomfrey approached to Sabrina with a serious voice she asked, "What were your symptoms?" She said at the same time while she examined Sabrina who responded trying to remember more precisely "Amm...heavy breathing, tremors, loss of strength, headache, fever, imbalance, sudden exhaustion, I had no appetite, I vomited a few times and I think i move to much according to what my classmates told me." At that moment Madam Pomfrey interrupted her. "According to what your classmates told you? Don't you remember exactly what happened to you?" Sabrina thought before answering and answered somewhat doubtfully. "I fainted a few times." Madam Pomfrey looked at her in a very serious but strangely understanding way. "And no one of your classmates asked a professor for permission to take care of you or bring you here?" Sabrina shook her head and said, "Professor McGonagall took points from them for that, no one took care of me in concrete words." Madam Pomfrey inspected the young woman with her gaze. "Did you take any potions? Did you try any spells on yourself before that?" Sabrina denied with her head again "Sabrina... I have to ask you this. Is it possible that one of your roommates tried to put a spell on you? Or they could put some kind of potion in your food?" Madam Pomfrey asked in a worrying tone to which Sabrina calmly said "I don't think so, it's not the first time it's happened to me." Madam Pomfrey looked at her alarmed "Sabrina, do you have an illness?" Sabrina looked thoughtful for a few moments and then answered "I wouldn't call it an illness as such, it's more like shocks that I get from time to time." Madam Pomfrey gave a tired sigh and turned her gaze to Sabrina again. "Is this happening?" very often?" Madam Pomfrey asked righteously to which Sabrina responded "Not really, it happens very rarely and when it happens i know how to control it." Madam Pomfrey looked at her in a more severe way and said in an even more rigorous tone "But this time you didn't." Sabrina tensed a little when she heard what the nurse said. "Is there any reason why these events happen?" Sabrina considered for a moment saying what had happened to her mother but she did not want Madam Pomfrey to know about her private life so she only said "No" denying it and hiding it. The nurse felt that the girl was lying to her "Any other symptoms? For example, did you mutter meaningless things while you were in that state? Did you have hallucinations?" Said the nurse, the girl nodded silently, uncomfortable, looking away from the woman. "Have you consumed a muggle drug?" Madam Pomfrey asked harshly, to which Sabrina quickly looked up and denied with her head repeatedly. The nurse exhaled deeply and said in conclusion, "Well, to finish, I will give you a body examination to make sure that this is not due to any injury you have." at what Madam Pomfrey said Sabrina quickly stood up scared, saying with a trembling and fearful voice "Is it really necessary?" Madam Pomfrey looked at her sourly and said "I must make sure that you are in good health, lie down on the stretcher and don't protest." Sabrina lay down with uneasiness and concern, the first thing Madam Pomfrey checked were her arms, which she was surprised to see were so thin and small for Sabrina age, Sabrina's clothes were huge on her but that hid the squalor of the girl, then the attention of Madam Pomfrey's eyes fell on some scars, several scars spread all over her arm, She checked the other arm and it was the same, the same with the legs, Madam Pomfrey was terrified by the number of poorly healed wounds that this girl had all over her body, she was only 11 years old. Furthermore, it was practically a miracle that Sabrina had not gotten an infection with all that amount of sharp marks that she had. She began to wonder if the disorders that were happening to the girl could be thanks to a bacteria contracted from all this damage, before that Madam Pomfrey could say a word Sabrina spoke first "Don't worry about that, they are all stabilized and disinfected, they don't affect me in any way" Madam Pomfrey wanted to ask how and why Sabrina was so sure but the girl spoke again first "My mother taught me how to make healing remedies and medicinal potions to heal a person and therefore I treated these wounds myself." Madam Pomfrey was about to counter and ensure that Sabrina knowing how to handle lacerations did not ensure that an infection would not spread but Sabrina spoke again "Believe me, I know how to stop it so that none of these cuts become serious or fatal. I had them done because I live in a very unsafe neighborhood and I participate in clandestine fights. I have been there all my life and I have known how to stop it." The girl looked very confident but the nurse looked clearly disconcerted. So young and getting into street fights? Madam Pomfrey asked herself in her head, but the young woman spoke again. "Could you do me a favor, could you not tell anyone? My reputation is already horrible enough for them to call me a quarrelsome now." They spent half an hour inside the infirmary, Sabrina trying to convince Madam Pomfrey not to tell the teachers or the principal Albus Dumbledore about this, after many attempts the nurse relented but with some conditions "I am going to give you some potions that will make you gain weight and nourish your metabolism until you become healthy, I will give you some remedies that will help the scars disappear and so that they finish healing and I will make sure that you do not miss breakfast, lunch or dinner, until you feel better" Madam Pomfrey said in a firm tone. Sabrina nodded and took the medications that Madam Pomfrey had given her, left them in her room and headed towards her next class, which to her pity was potions with Slughorn.
