The next day

Destiny woke up early in the morning and was doing her hair when Rei unexpectedly barged into her room, looking excited and happy. He greeted her with a bright smile and urged her to hurry up and get ready. Destiny was surprised but didn't mind since she was already running behind schedule.

Rei followed her closely as she rushed out of her room, and she couldn't help but feel slightly nervous about what was happening. They hurried through the corridors until they reached Destiny's little room, where Rei suddenly stopped.

Before Destiny could react, Rei turned to her and said, "Hey Destiny, before we go and meet up with Mai about the request, do you mind showing me how you do in battle? I saw you battle with Volo, but I want to experience having a battle with you as well."

The request took them aback destiny, but she quickly agreed, knowing that it was essential to showcase her abilities. She nodded in agreement, and they headed towards their destination.

"Sure thing, I'll be at the training grounds whenever you're ready, okay?" Rei told Destiny, trying to hide his slight tension. "Just a quick reminder, you can change your team around at the pastures as well, in case you need to," he added before darting off. Destiny sensed that Rei was in a hurry, so she followed him as quickly as possible, ignoring any distractions.

Rei patiently awaited her when she finally arrived at the training grounds, but his tension had increased. He greeted her with a friendly smile, but his body language revealed that he had something important to discuss.

"Thank you for taking the Time to meet me, Destiny. I know you're busy with your training and other commitments," Rei began, his voice low and serious. "I want to be upfront with you about something," he continued, his eyes fixed on hers, "I hope you'll hear me out." Rei took a deep breath and revealed what had been weighing on his mind for days.

Destiny noticed that Rei was looking tense and worried. She asked with concern, "Is everything all right? You look very tense."

Rei responded, "I just can't understand how anyone can handle taking on Pokémon in battle. I know I'm a member of the Survey Corps, and I've even got my own partner. But still, the idea of battling with Pokémon makes me feel uneasy and anxious."

Destiny listened carefully and asked, "Your partner? What do you mean?"

Rei appeared to be hesitant as he introduced his partner Pokemon, Pikachu. It was unlike him to sound unsure of himself. He usually came across as chipper, friendly, and straightforward, but his tone had changed. Pikachu burst out of its Pokeball and cried out, showing its eagerness to engage in battle.

Rei explained, "During that Shinx attack I told you about earlier, I should have had Pikachu fight at my side, but my mind just went blank." He sounded disappointed with himself and added, "And really, when you think about it, Pokemon is terrifying, right? Why should this thing be able to fire electricity?" Pikachu looked at Rei with a glare as if annoyed by his comments.

Destiny seemed to sense Rei's hesitation and said, "Oh no," almost instinctively.

Rei continued, "Completing those research tasks convinced me I want to do my survey corps work well. My partner and I have got to be a team, and our first step toward being a real team is to battle your team." With a newfound confidence, he initiated the battle, determined to work with Pikachu.

Destiny was feeling hesitant as she took out her Oshawott to battle Pikachu. It was a friendly match, but she was determined to give it her all. "Alright, if you're sure," she said, trying to hide her nervousness.

The battle began with Pikachu unleashing a powerful Thundershock against Oshawott. Oshawott tried to fight back with a Tackle, but it wasn't enough. Pikachu's Thundershock proved to be too much for Oshawott, who fainted.

Undeterred, Destiny quickly switched to Starly and had it use Gust against Pikachu. However, it didn't affect Pikachu, who then used Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt to end the battle.

Destiny was momentarily frozen as she realized she had lost. It was a tough pill, but she quickly shook it off and watched her friend celebrate his win. She was a good sport and even congratulated her friend on his victory. Destiny had given it her all. She didn't let the loss discourage her and instead saw it as an opportunity to learn and improve. She knew there would be more battles and was determined to come out on top next Time.

"Wow, the way you battled alongside your Pokemon was amazing!" exclaimed Rei cheerfully. "You didn't seem scared at all! We'll just have to catch up the best we can, right Pikachu?" he said, turning to face his loyal partner, but Pikachu refused to look at him and turned away in dismay. "Fair enough," Rei nodded, understanding Pikachu's behavior. "You see, Pikachu has a tendency to attack, which is why he normally stays in his ball. I guess the first step for Pikachu and me might be getting a little friendlier with one another."

"By the way, the Professor told me that Pokemon have different types which can make a big difference in battles. Pikachu here seems to be an electric type, for example," he added.

As Destiny listened to the man speaking, she felt his words deeply resonating with her. They helped her understand why she had felt so uncomfortable during the battle. She realized that Oshawott and Starly were no match for Pikachu, but she couldn't figure out how she knew that. She decided to keep her concerns to herself for the time being.

As she was lost in thought, a tall, strong-looking woman with red hair approached her. "So, you're the new recruit everyone is talking about," she said with a friendly smile. "My name is Captain Zisu, and I'm the head of the security corps. I couldn't help but notice that you have some fighting spirit in you. I thought I'd stop by and offer you some advice if you don't mind."

Rei introduced Captain Zisu as a master of ancient martial arts. She trains Pokémon to fight battles. Captain Zisu then explained that if a Pokémon has genuinely mastered its moves, it can use them in different styles.

The Strong Style is one option. This style delivers a move that deals more damage but will take longer for the Pokémon to act afterward. On the other hand, the Agile Style will have less power behind it, but the Pokémon can act more quickly afterward. Sometimes, a Pokémon may use two moves before the opponent can act.

Captain Zisu emphasized that it's up to the trainer to decide which style is suitable for a given situation. Regular moves are the best option. Considering the case, she advised Destiny to direct her Pokémon with a little nudge.

The explanation ended with a smile from Captain Zisu, leaving Destiny with a better understanding of how to utilize their Pokémon's moves in battles.

Destiny expressed her gratitude with a polite "Thank you, ma'am," as she listened carefully to Zisu's words. She vowed to keep them in mind every Time she stepped into a battle.

Zisu, noticing Destiny's eagerness to improve, offered her assistance. "Oh, one more thing," she said with a smile. "If you ever want to teach your Pokémon some powerful moves, just let me know. I'll be more than happy to help."

"Hey, I just wanted to remind you that Mia requested our help, and I will check out what she needs now. As I mentioned, I'm heading down to the foot of Aspiration Hill to meet her. Get your bag ready and meet us down there," Rai said as he nodded to Destiny,

"Sure, I'd love to come. I'll pack my bag with my Pokémon and some additional items we might need on our journey," Destiny replied.

"That's great! And by 'ready,' I mean you should double-check what Pokémon you'll bring and maybe even teach them some new moves from Zisu. It might be useful during our task," Rei offered as he ran ahead of her.

"Thanks for the heads up, Rei. I'll make sure to teach them some new moves and make the necessary preparations before we set off," Destiny replied with a smile.

Destiny accepted Zisu's offer to train her Pokémon and teach them new moves. She was happy with the progress her Pokémon had made after the training. Later, Destiny gathered the necessary materials and crafted more Pokeballs. She bid farewell to Ress, the guardsman, and headed towards the obsidian fieldlands.

Once she arrived at her destination, Destiny immediately began setting up her equipment. She meticulously checked every piece of equipment to ensure everything was in order and functioning correctly. She did this to ensure everything was perfect before heading into the field.

As she prepared to set out, she suddenly froze and looked into the distance. It was as if she had sensed something was about to happen. Suddenly, she heard someone yell "BOO!" from behind her, startling her. She jumped back and turned around quickly, only to find Volo laughing.

Destiny was initially taken aback but soon realized it was a harmless prank. She couldn't help but laugh with Volo, who was proud of himself for successfully pulling off the surprise.

Destiny punched Volo and said, "Don't do that. You really scared me."

"I was trying to anyway," Volo laughed as he greeted her. "Either way, I just wanted to tell you that there's a secret technique to catching Pokémon. It's what I call the secret backstrike technique. Hitting a Pokémon's back with your Pokéball will surprise it, making it easier to catch or give you an advantage once a battle starts, just like I did with you," Volo said as he patted her head.

"Thank you. I'll take your words into consideration whenever I'm out," Destiny smiled at him, appreciating his excellent advice.

"If you're a part of the survey corps now working to create the Pokédex, as they all are, you might end up meeting every last Pokémon here in Hisui," Volo started to speak, only to smile at her very kindly as he touched her shoulder. "You should know I'm already looking forward to the day you accomplish that," Volo continued to smile at her.

"Thank you so much, Volo. I really appreciate it," Destiny smiled at him.

"It's not a problem at all. I have to go for now, but keep in touch whenever you see me, alright?" Volo said as he waved toward the Village.

Destiny just smiled and waved at him as she continued down the path to meet up with Rei. When she finally made it to the bridge, she was stopped by a Galaxy member who informed her that there were many strong Pokémon that made their home on the other side of the bridge. He couldn't let her pass unless she had her first start, only to realize that she already had it, and allowed her to go through. He warned her not to let her guard down and retreat to safety if she ever found herself in any kind of trouble at all.

When she reached the bridge, she found Rei talking to a young lady with a blue uniform next to a little blue Pokemon. They were talking, but as soon as Rei saw Destiny, he turned around and waved to her.

Rei called out to Destiny, waving her over as he yelled, "Destiny over here!" As she approached, Rei introduced her to the woman standing beside him. "This here is Destiny, my... my... a new face in the Village," he said hesitantly. Although she could tell he wanted to introduce her as his friend, he opted to introduce her as a new resident of the Village.

Destiny greeted the woman with a smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss."

The woman responded coldly, "Not that it matters to me if you're new. If you're here, I assume you're prepared to help." She introduced herself as Mai, one of the wardens of the Diamond Clan. She acknowledged that Destiny might not know what she was if she was new to Hisui, but she said they could discuss that later. Instead, Mai got straight to the point and asked, "I have a problem that I need help solving. Do you feel confident that you can lead your Pokemon in battle?"

Destiny couldn't help but feel hurt by Mai's coldness, but she brushed it off and replied, "Yes, I am confident in my abilities."

"Good to hear," she said proudly as she watched the confidence build in Destiny's face. "Your security corps was clearly not up to the task," she added mockingly. "Meet my partner, Munchlax. We were raised together like siblings, and he chooses to battle by my side without needing any Pokeballs like yours. Watch and learn," she said before suddenly commanding Munchlax to attack Destiny without warning.

Destiny reacted quickly, taking out her Oshawott, a Water-type Pokemon, and had it tackle Munchlax. However, Munchlax seemed to hit much harder in retaliation. Destiny then used AquaJet to test if Munchlax was weak to water. Unfortunately, it hardly did any damage. Undeterred, she used Agile Style, a robust style of AquaJet, to break through Munchlax's defenses. But Oshawott fainted before it could finish, allowing Starly, a Flying-type Pokemon, to switch into battle.

With a quick attack, Starly emerged victorious. Despite the loss, Destiny was not discouraged and took the opportunity to learn from the battle.

Destiny was filled with overwhelming joy after she emerged victorious in the battle, especially after witnessing Oshawott faint. She quickly retrieved Oshawott from the battlefield and tended to him. As she was attending to her Pokémon, Mai approached her again.

Mai was impressed by Destiny's skills, "You really aren't one of the usual Galaxy buffoons if you can defeat my partner... Well fought, Munchlax," Mai praised her Pokémon partner. Munchlax stood beside Mai after being healed, looking proud of himself. Oshawott, who was feeling much better, stood next to Destiny despite having a glare on its face as it looked at Munchlax.

Mai offered to care for the Pokémon battled for her, but Destiny declined, saying she had plans. However, before Destiny could finish her sentence, Mai cut her off.

Mai approached Oshawa. She sensed that a simple potion wouldn't suffice and offered to heal him. Though Oshawa initially hesitated, he allowed Mai to use her healing herbs on him. After Mai was done, Oshawa felt a hundred times better than before.

To show her gratitude, Mai handed Destiny some Vivichokes, knowing that the crafting skills of Destiny's people could turn them into valuable materials. "You people make all kinds of things with your crafting, right? These should be useful materials," Mai said with a smile.

"Thank you very much, Miss," Destiny said, appreciating the gesture. She noticed that Rei was getting slightly annoyed, so she quickly thanked Mai and turned to Rei to address their next move.

"You and your Pokemon fought so well together," Mai said with a small smile. "You acted as one unit with them, just like the legendary hero of old - the one we tell stories of to our children. I think you're the perfect candidate for the job."

Mai's expression then turned somber as she explained the situation. "You see, there's an awful Pokemon causing trouble upon Deertrack Heights. It's a large, fearsome creature, like any Alpha. We've tried dealing with it in the past, but it's proved too much for us. That's why we need your help."

Destiny's confidence stayed strong as she listened to Mai's request. "Of course, I will help. I'm confident I can deal with whatever problem you're dealing with, especially if it involves a Pokemon."

Rei, who had been listening quietly, spoke up. "I believe in you. You can handle this Pokemon, even if it's an alpha. Just be careful, okay? We don't want you to get hurt."

With a determined look on her face, Destiny nodded. "Don't worry, I'll be careful. I'll take care of this Pokemon and make sure it doesn't harm anyone else."

Mai spoke relatively calmly, addressing Destiny, "Seems like you're quite the asset to the Survey Corps, new one." Destiny was elated to hear the recognition, and she replied, "I suppose so, miss," unsure of what else to say.

Mai's expression suddenly changed, becoming severe, "However, before we proceed, I must ask if you're already familiar with Almighty Sinnoh." Destiny was taken aback by the sudden change in Mai's tone and asked, "I'm sorry, Almighty what?"

" I suppose that's to be expected allow me to sketch out the basics. Almighty Sino there's all Time it is said to have created the very Universe using its power over time flow and this land of Hisui was born in the process. It's by the grace of Almighty Sinnoh that Pokemon can live and Thrive here. We of the diamond Clan are descendants of people who crossed the sea and settled here in the Hisui region to venerate Almighty so no. However it's still away from the world long ago hiding itself from our site. Almighty thinner has only rarely been seen by any human of the old Tales are to be trusted but there are still Pokemon here today in Hisui with a connection to Almighty Sino. And it's the duty of the Wardens like myself to attend to their needs," Mai said as she looked over to Deartrack Hights." the Pokemon that Grace is Deertrack Hights is one of those honored few it is directly descended from a Pokemon that was blessed with Almighty Sinnoh protection. Now follow me and you may understand."

Mai was hurrying to reach her destination, but Destiny was about to follow her. However, Rei stopped her, much to Mai's annoyance. He suggested that he and Destiny head up there to make sure it was safe while Mai could continue on her way.

With a sense of urgency, Mai snapped at Rei, "This is an urgent matter."

Rei, however, calmly pointed out that Destiny still needed to complete the Pokedex, and catching a few nearby Pokemon would help her in that regard. He added that he was confident that the Pokemon they were looking for would still be there when they arrived and that they would only check if it were safe for all of them.

Mai rolled her eyes and retorted, "You're being quite childish." She was not happy with Rei's suggestion

"Hey, how about this? I'll meet you guys up there. I won't even take that long here... I already saw a couple of Pokemon in the area," Destiny suggested, trying to avoid an argument. Mai paused momentarily before slowly nodding and heading down the path, with Rai following her.

As her friends walked away, Destiny decided to explore the area more and catch some Pokemon she had not seen before. She wandered around for a while, keeping an eye out for any new creatures. She managed to grab a few new ones, which she added to her Pokedex.

In addition to catching Pokemon, Destiny completed several tasks she had been putting off. She picked up some berries from a nearby bush and updated her Pokedex with new information on the Pokemon she had caught.

Destiny's Starly suddenly started to evolve as she finished her tasks. She watched in amazement as it transformed into a Staravia. She was thrilled with this development and hugged her new Staravia tightly as it happily flapped its wings, enjoying its newfound strength and abilities.

Destiny noticed that Oshawott appeared in a bad mood as they began their journey up the hill. Oshawott was upset that Staravia had evolved and that it couldn't evolve itself despite trying hard. Destiny tried to cheer up her Pokemon partner by patting its head and saying, "Oh, don't be upset, my dear. I'm sure you'll evolve soon enough," but it didn't seem to help.

Oshawott crossed its little arms, puffed out its cheeks, and pouted throughout the climb. Destiny felt terrible for her partner, but there wasn't much she could do to make it feel better.

As they reached the top of the hill, they saw Mai standing there with a smile, ready to greet them. However, when she saw Oshawott's grumpy expression, her smile turned into a look of confusion. Mai wondered what was wrong with Oshawott and why he was so upset.

Mai pointed towards the hill and said with a hint of surprise, "Oh, so even your professor decided to join us." As she spoke, the Professor, who appeared somewhat out of breath, ran up the hill to join them.

"Thank goodness I'm here on time," the Professor said as he tried to steady himself. He almost lost balance as he attempted to catch his breath. "As a Pokemon researcher, I couldn't miss a chance to observe an unusual Pokemon, could I?" he said with a smile, holding up his camera.

"I suppose that's your business... Fine, as long as you stay out of the way," Mai said, shrugging him off. She appeared to be focused on the task at hand.

The Professor nodded in agreement, "Of course, not a problem." He seemed eager to get started on his observation of the Pokemon.

Destiny approached Deertrack Heights and greeted the Professor with a warm smile. "Hello, professor," she said as they made eye contact. The Professor smiled back and returned the greeting. "Hello, my dear girl," he said, happy to see her. The two of them walked towards the entrance of Deertrack Heights, chatting amicably as they entered the opening by the cliff side.

Mai stood tall atop Deertrack Heights, a place of great significance to her and where she had come to pay homage to a particular Pokemon. She believed this Pokemon descended from one of the ancient Pokemon blessed by Almighty Sinnoh.

As she gazed at the stunning scenery around her, Mai suddenly heard a cry that shattered the peaceful atmosphere. A wild Pokemon had appeared and was running around the field.

Destiny, who was with Mai, asked in confusion, "Is that the Pokemon you were talking about?"

Mai shook her head in disgust and replied, "That's not it. That's only a troublemaker here to disturb the peace with its racket." The Pokemon roared again, causing Mai to cringe.

She turned to Destiny and said, "And that's why you're here. You need to drive the interloper from this place. I'll ensure your Pokemon are ready for the battle. Here, let me heal them." Mai gave Destiny's Pokemon a treat, which they eagerly accepted.

As Destiny prepared for the upcoming battle, Mai watched with fierce determination. She knew this would test their strength and skill, but she was confident that Destiny and her Pokemon would emerge victorious.

Destiny expressed her gratitude to Mai, saying, "Thank you very much" for her help.

The Professor looked at the giant Pokemon in amazement, examining every detail of its appearance. "Upon my word, what a large specimen!" he exclaimed. "Little Wonder Alpha Pokemon are feared across the land, especially if they are as oversized as this one."

Mai explained that Alpha Pokemon are not only big but also incredibly strong. They may not move, but their sheer size and strength make them dangerous. She encouraged Destiny to show the Alpha that she was more substantial than it.

The Professor cautioned Destiny to be careful, as the Alpha's size alone makes it a potent weapon. He advised her that if she must face it, she should make sure her Pokemon have some powerful moves to stand a chance against it. He further explained that Alpha Pokemon like this are not to be trifled with, as they are hardy and robust foes.

Destiny reassured the Professor that she was confident in her abilities. She explained that Captain Zisu had taught her Pokemon some new moves, including solid and agile movements, which she felt would give her an edge in the upcoming battle.

Though apprehensive, the Professor nodded and allowed Destiny to approach the field. She stepped forward with confidence, ready to face the imposing Pokemon in the middle of the area.

"Alright, come on out, Oshawott!" Destiny called out to her Pokemon. The Pokemon launched an Air Slash attack, but Oshawott quickly countered with an agile Aqua Jet and followed up with a strong Aqua Jet. However, the Alpha Pokemon instantly retaliated with a powerful attack, causing Oshawott to faint. Destiny was forced to switch to her Staravia.

The Pokemon cried out as it entered the battle, ready to fight. Staravia used an Air Slash attack with solid strength, immediately causing the Pokemon to flee the area. Destiny felt relieved that her Pokemon had emerged victorious and that her training had paid off.

Mai walked closer to Destiny and clapped, expressing her admiration. "You really are an impressive one, aren't you?" she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Seeing someone beat Alpha like that reminds me of the legendary hero of old. Your battle skills are truly remarkable, and you should be proud of what you've achieved."

As Mai spoke, she rushed to heal Destiny's Pokemon, carefully checking each one to ensure they were okay after the battle. She praised Destiny's Pokemon for their bravery and skill, ensuring they were well-rested and fed.

Destiny was about to say something when she heard a roar from the Cliff above them. Everyone turned around to look up, and to their surprise, they saw a magnificent white Pokemon, its eyes fixed on them. The Pokemon was breathtakingly beautiful, with long, flowing fur that shimmered in the sunlight. It looked down at them with an air of mystery and power, and for a moment, everyone was silent, amazed by its presence.

The Professor was taken aback and shouted in surprise, looking up. He saw a white Pokémon staring down at them with a look of authority. The three stood there in silence, watching as the Pokémon jumped off the Cliff as if it was nothing and marched right up to them.

Mai recognized the Pokémon instantly and shouted excitedly, "It's the Great Wyrdeer!" The Pokémon observed them for a moment and then looked directly at Destiny. She stared back at it with a mixture of confusion and awe.

Mai spoke kindly, "He looks upon you with kindness, Destiny. The Great Wyrdeer is an esteemed Pokémon that can dash across the expanses of Hisui while bearing a human on his back... but only a human he deems worthy. It seems he has taken a fortunate liking to you."

Destiny stared at the Pokémon in bewilderment as it walked away with a nod. Mai smiled at her, "He's a blessing to all of us."

Destiny blushed lightly as the Professor exclaimed in amazement, "Remarkable! Truly outstanding stuff! A Pokemon letting someone write on it! Why is it just like the ride Pokemon of Alola?" She could tell Mai was slightly annoyed with the Professor's outburst, but she remained quiet.

Rei approached them and said, "Professor, things went smoothly. Sorry, I had to leave earlier. I received a message from one of the Guardsmen that Captain Cyllene needed me, and I'm here on her orders. She said that we could set up a base camp here once Destiny took care of her request." As Rei spoke, he looked at Destiny and the Professor but avoided looking at Mai, who was glaring at him.

The Professor said, "Ah, about that, I know this was a joint decision by Adaman and the commander, but is it truly fine for us to set up more base camps like this?"

Mai nodded and replied, "The Hisui region is a land created by Almighty Sinnoh for the sake of its Pokemon. If your goal is to exist and thrive with the Pokemon, then I imagine you should also be allowed to use this land."

However, Mai seemed somewhat annoyed when saying this. She didn't argue further or let her distaste show too much, even though she didn't like the idea of more base camps being set up.

As they continued to walk, Mai changed the topic and said, "The Great Wyrdeer has taken a liking to Destiny as well, this is a good sign. It seems that Destiny has a natural rapport with the Pokemon."

Destiny smiled at the news, relieved that the Great Wyrdeer was not hostile towards her. Mai continued, "Either way, thanks for what you did today. Our clan leader was here, and he appreciates how you aided us. I'll come to show my appreciation with a proper reward as soon as I can."

Mai smiled and shook Destiny's hand before ignoring the other two men.

Rei was agitated as he spoke. "Well, if we want to coexist and thrive with Pokemon, we must learn more about them. The first step towards that is completing the Pokedex," he said snappily. Rei believed that the team needed a comprehensive understanding of the Pokemon in the area to avoid any misunderstandings or conflicts.

As the team waited for the construction corps to arrive, they worked tirelessly throughout the night to ensure the area was safe, particularly from wild Pokemon. The night was long, and everyone was exhausted. Destiny had been working for hours, and although she tried to ignore it, her shoes were causing her discomfort. She had even noticed blisters forming on her feet when she was supposed to be resting.

The construction corps finally arrived after a few minutes of waiting, and they quickly got to work setting up the base camp. By sunrise the next day, the center was ready, and the team could finally rest. Destiny wanted to speak up about her discomfort but didn't like to seem ungrateful for all she had received. So, she decided to keep her pain to herself, hoping it would eventually subside.

The sun had just risen, and the morning breeze was refreshing. Everyone woke up feeling energized and in a good mood. Destiny, however, felt hesitant to go outside and greet the Professor and Rei. She knew she had to face them and show her appreciation for the new base camp they had set up. With a deep sigh, she put on her tiny shoes and approached the front of the base camp.

Upon reaching the front, she saw the Professor and Rei standing there with smiles. The Professor was beaming with pride as he gestured towards the new base camp.

"Here we are, at our new base camp on Deertrack Heights! I'll name it the Heights Camp," he declared.

Destiny couldn't help but feel impressed by the new camp. The Heights Camp was situated on a hill overlooking the surrounding area. It was a perfect spot for a base camp, with plenty of space for the team to work and rest.

"That's a lovely name, Professor. I really like it," Destiny said with a genuine smile. Rei nodded in agreement but didn't say anything.

"From now on, when you leave the village, you can ask to be escorted to this base camp instead of the other one to start your excursions directly from here," he said.

Destiny was pleased to hear this since it would save her Time and effort. "Alright, I'll make sure to remember that," she nodded.

Rei, who was nearby, overheard the conversation and chimed in. "Having additional base camps should make our survey work easier, don't you think?" she asked Destiny.

Destiny agreed. They could cover more ground with more base camps in less Time, which would benefit the team's research.

"Well, how about we head to the Wallflower as usual?" Rei suggested, referring to their go-to eatery in the Village.

The Professor agreed, and they began to make their way back to the Village. As they walked, Destiny couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive. While she loved spending Time with her friends, she was beginning to grow tired of always eating at the Wallflower. Knowing that it was Rei's favorite place, she didn't say anything and decided to go along with them.

Once they reached the Village, the Professor checked over Destiny's Pokédex, ensuring everything was in order. With that out of the way, they headed to the Wallflower, where they enjoyed a warm meal and some much-needed rest. Despite her reservations, Destiny was glad to be with her friends and excited for what the future held for their research team.
-

Upon their return to the Village, they swiftly made their way to the Wallflower restaurant, a cozy eatery known for its delectable dishes and charming ambiance. They took their usual spot outside, where they could enjoy the beautiful weather and the bustling streets of the Village. Despite being a regular customer for almost a week since she had been in the Village, Beni still refused to let Destiny inside. It was a curious situation, as many other regulars had become good friends with Beni and were welcomed inside with open arms. However, Destiny couldn't help but wonder if Beni had a personal grudge against her or if he had some other reason for keeping her out of his establishment. Either way, she remained polite and friendly.

"Beni, old chum, the usual potato Mochi for me, please. And make it for three today as well," the Professor asked cheerfully.

"Coming right up," the old man said as he handed them the food. When he set the food in front of them, he started a conversation, something he had never done when Destiny was there. "Have you all heard the grave news? That frenzied Kleavor from the rumors... harmed some of our galaxy's explorers who investigated it this morning. The Medical Corps is having difficulty getting all the injured back on their feet."

"This is the Kleavor that was reportedly struck by powerful lightning, right? I did hear that it has been behaving most erratically since then. Still, the Survey Corps needs to conduct further investigation. Well, of course, we are up to the task. A certain amount of danger is inevitable when researching unfamiliar Pokemon, but I'm sure Destiny can handle it just fine," the Professor said rather proudly.

Destiny was having trouble eating her food. The Professor had just assigned her a task out of nowhere, and she was feeling a little overwhelmed as she took a sip of water.

Rei asked, "But isn't Kleavor much stronger than even an alpha Pokemon?"

The Professor chimed in, reminding them of their duty as survey corps members to research the strength of Pokemon. He explained that their work required a clear head and a fit physique. He suggested that a good night's sleep was in order after the satisfying meal they had just enjoyed.

Destiny gave the Professor an awkward smile, indicating agreement with his suggestion. Despite feeling uneasy about her new task, she felt reassured by the Professor's confidence in their abilities.

After saying their goodbyes and settling their debts, Destiny was eager to retreat to her room. The day had been long and arduous, and she was exhausted. She decided to whip up a small meal for herself and her Pokémon, something light that wouldn't upset her stomach.

As she cooked, she muttered, "I can't believe he's making me do this. I understand I have to work for my stay, but this feels like too much." Her frustration and annoyance were palpable, and Oshawott looked up at her, trying to understand her distress. He nodded in agreement, even though he didn't comprehend everything she said.

After finishing their meal, they both retired to bed. Destiny felt a throbbing sensation in her head as she wrapped bandages around her blistered feet for some relief. She lay down, her mind consumed by worry and anxiety about what the next day would bring.

As she drifted off to sleep, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease. She wondered how she would cope with the challenges that lay ahead and whether she would be able to endure them. But despite her doubts and fears, she knew she had to stay strong and persevere to be allowed to remain in the Village.

As the morning sun peeked through the window, Destiny was finishing breakfast when she heard a loud knock at the front door. She was startled by the sudden noise and accidentally dropped her bowl, which made a loud noise as it hit the ground. Oshawott, her loyal companion, rushed to her side to ensure she was okay. Destiny smiled at Oshawott, assuring it that she was okay.

The voice at the front door belonged to Rei, who had come to deliver an urgent message. "Rise and shine, Destiny! The boss wants you, Kamado. Get yourself to the Commander's office," Rei shouted through the door.

Destiny quickly understood the gravity of the situation and started to gather herself. She put on her shoes and began to tidy up the area around her before rushing out of the house. She put all her Pokémon in their Pokéballs before leaving, knowing she might need them.

"Good morning, Destiny. How was your sleep?" Rei inquired with a smile.

Destiny sighed deeply and replied, "To be honest, I hardly slept at all. I was tossing and turning all night long. I tried to calm myself down, but my anxiety got the best of me."

Rei looked concerned and asked, "What were you anxious about? Is everything okay?"

Destiny hesitated momentarily before responding, "It's just a lot of things on my mind. I just can't seem to turn off my head, you know?"

Rei nodded sympathetically. "I understand. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Destiny smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Rei. Just talking to you helps a lot."

Rei was about to respond to someone when they both heard a piercing scream coming from the middle of the Village. They turned around to see a person crying hysterically at such an early hour. Suddenly, a man's voice boomed out, "Look who's being punctual! Finally realized you're wasting Almighty Signal's precious Time by bowing to a sham?" The vote was loud and unmistakably angry, making everyone within earshot turn their heads in curiosity.

A woman's voice immediately responded, "There you go again, insisting on your false image of Almighty Sinnoh as the ruler of time." Her voice was just as loud, and she sounded equally angry. She was standing in front of the headquarters, her arms crossed in front of her chest. "My people follow the true Almighty Sinnoh, the font of all creation and the ruler of space." The woman was passionate about her beliefs and determined to defend them at all costs.

The man was furious, and his voice echoed through the area as he shouted, "Hah! You could have all the space in the world and still not know what to do with it." His frustration was palpable, and his words dripped with sarcasm and disdain.

The woman, taken aback by the man's outburst, replied, "Excuse me, are you really suggesting that you would make better use of your time than we make of Hisui's vast space?" Her voice was laced with anger and disbelief.

The man, not backing down, retorted, "Better than some, it's a miracle you showed up on time, oh mighty leader of the Pearl Clan." He spoke with a hint of sass and mockery. "I worried you would get lost in the pointless vast space you're so fond of and never show up."

The woman, clearly offended by the man's words, waved him off and exclaimed, "I get lost? In Almighty Sandal's great gift to the Pearl Clan, the very basis of our world?" She spoke with a hint of pride and defiance. "You wish," she snapped at him, her voice dripping with sarcasm and disdain.

The man turned around and stormed towards the headquarters door; his face contorted with anger as he glared at the young woman who had just engaged him in an argument. "I regret allowing myself to be dragged into this pointless exchange with you, Almighty," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "It was an absolute waste of time."

Taking a deep breath, he paused for a moment before continuing. "I'm going to Commander Kamado's office now," he said, his frown deepening. I'll be able to accomplish something there.

The woman didn't back down, however. "I believe you're the one who started this argument," she retorted, her frustration evident in her voice.

As they both strode towards headquarters, the tension between them was palpable, and the other people around them couldn't help but watch with interest as the two continued to bicker back and forth.

Destiny couldn't see their faces clearly, but she could tell they were dressed extravagantly, with the man wearing a bright blue suit and the woman wearing a pink outfit. Destiny noticed they were quarreling as they passed, and she was concerned.

"Just another day with those two, I see," Rei mumbled.

Curious, Destiny asked, "Who were they?"

"That man's name was Adaman," Rei explained. "He's the leader of the Diamond Clan, one of the most powerful clans in the city. They put a lot of importance on Time, as you could probably tell from his watch. And the girl is Irida, leader of the Pearl Clan. They're all about space and the mysteries of the Universe. You heard what she called it, right? 'Our world's very basis'. Whenever they run into each other, the same arguments flare up every Time. It seems like they've inherited some bad blood from their predecessors' strife."

Destiny nodded, understanding the situation better. She wondered what it would be like to have such a strong sense of identity tied to a clan and if it was worth the constant conflict and tension.

Destiny was worried about the possibility of an argument turning violent. "Hopefully, they don't get into another argument," she said, her concern evident in her voice. "It did sound like they were going to fight physically."

Rei, however, brushed off her concerns and didn't seem particularly interested in the situation. "Oh well, it's not our problem," he said with a shrug. But then he added, "You'll have problems if you don't get yourself to the Commander's office, Destiny." He sprinted ahead, and Destiny followed him, her mind still preoccupied with the potential altercation.

Destiny was hurrying when she approached the guard in front of the headquarters. She greeted him cheerfully with a quick "Hi, Beauregard," as she ran past him to get inside. The guard responded with a friendly wave as Destiny rushed into the building.

As she entered the headquarters, Destiny wasted no time and made a beeline for the third floor. She needed not to keep the Commander from waiting as long as she already had. She bounded up the stairs with the agility of a gazelle, fueled by a sense of urgency.

As she ascended the stairs, Destiny noticed the man and the woman from earlier standing there. She slowed down a bit, trying not to seem rude, but her focus remained on getting to the Commander as soon as possible.

Adaman, a man with a commanding presence, directed his attention toward Commander Kamado. "What do you intend to do about that Kleavor, Commander Kamado?" he asked loudly. "He may be descended from a warrior of Almighty Sinnoh, but look at the mess he's causing. We can't sit back and let him rage on."

Kamado, who was calm, responded in a measured tone, "You do get right to the point, Adaman."

Adaman, notorious for his impatience, replied, "Time wasted is lost."

Kamado, known for his fair judgment, asked Adaman, "Well, tell me, what would you have me do? Kleavor is a precious Lord of the Pearl Clan, is he not?"

"That's the point: my people can't intervene directly when it concerns a lord of the Pearl Clan. If we were to do something, the clans might end up fighting with each other again, just like we used to," Adaman explained. "But even members of the Galaxy team have been injured. Someone needs to take action here."

"Then who? Would the Diamond Clan have the Pearl Clan bring down one of its respected nobles?" Irida asked.

"I didn't say that. I just thought it might be a possibility," Adaman snapped back.

"You might as well have said it, you fool," Irida said harshly. "Look, we don't even know what caused Lord Kleavor to go into such a violent frenzy."

" I'd like to know that myself. As far as my clan knows, this is the first, too," Adaman admitted.

Destiny stood before Kamado, who greeted her with a glare for interrupting. "I see you've arrived," he said, glancing up at her from his desk. Destiny bowed respectfully, indicating she was ready to proceed as he requested. "This is Destiny, the newest member of our Survey Corps," Kamado stated, briefly introducing himself before returning to work.

Adaman, the leader of the Diamond Clan, approached Destiny with a warm smile. "Ah, I heard from Mai that you have earned Wyrdeer's favor," he said, greeting her kindly. Destiny's face turned pink with embarrassment, but Adaman didn't notice. "It's good to finally meet you, a stranger from the rift," he added, smiling warmly. "I am Adaman, leader of the Diamond Clan if you want to be formal. But that's a mouthful; just call me Adaman," he smirked.

Destiny could not take her eyes off Adaman, but she quickly composed herself and turned to face the Pearl Clan leader as she began to speak. Despite her nervousness, Destiny was determined to make a good impression and carry out her duties as a member of the Survey Corps with diligence and dedication.

Irida, the leader of the Pearl Clan, approached Destiny with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. "If you came from Beyond the SpaceTime Rift," she asked, "could you be from space where Almighty Sinnoh is said to reside?" She introduced herself and explained that caution and foresight were her watchwords, making her skeptical of Destiny's claim. "Could you really have passed through that Rift?" she asked, concerned.

Destiny hesitated before answering. "I'm not sure," she said. "I just woke up at the beach, and that's what-" but she was interrupted by the Commander, who glared at her.

The Commander had a proposition. "Why not send this one to study Kleavor before deciding what must be done?" he offered. The suggestion took aback destiny but didn't say anything. The two Clan leaders turned around to face the Commander in shock, wondering what this meant since he hadn't offered anyone else like that before whenever their clan had a problem.

"Are you suggesting we send this stranger, who supposedly fell from the Rift, to study Kleavor? This newcomer has no experience," Irida expressed her concern.

Adaman mumbled rather loudly to Destiny, who tried to keep a straight face as his breath hit her ear, "to the leader with almost no experience."

Irida snapped at Adaman, "Being a good leader isn't a matter of Time. It's a matter of embracing Hisui's vastness without fear. We need someone who can take the initiative and make quick decisions, someone who can think on their feet."

"Well, if it matters how new you are, let's give the kid her chance. I'm sold, Commander. Let's try this your way," Adaman nodded to the Commander. "This should be fun. I'll see how good you Galaxy folks are with your weird ways of putting Pokemon in those strange balls," mocking the whole practice.

"That whole practice bothers me. Almighty Sinnoh made Hisui vast so Pokemon could live freely throughout. We're meant to stand alongside Pokemon, not count ourselves above them!" Irida snapped at both Adaman and Kamado.

Kamado spoke with conviction as he addressed Destiny, "We don't use Pokeballs to control our Pokemon. We use them only to live together peacefully. Allow us to demonstrate what we can do." His focus shifted back to Destiny, and he continued, "This is your Mission now, Destiny. I order you to study Kleavor and help us uncover the truth of this situation."

Destiny felt conflicted but ultimately had no choice but to accept Kamado's orders. She meekly replied, "I accept."

Kamado's expression turned serious as he spoke again, "Remember that you are just a stranger who appeared one day out of the sky above us. People are naturally suspicious of your presence here. To be fully accepted and trusted, you must work hard. Work yourself to the very bone." He gave Destiny a stern look, ensuring she understood the situation's gravity.

Destiny bowed respectfully but didn't notice the two Clan leaders giving each other apprehensive looks. They were unsure about Kamado's choice of words but decided to remain silent, not wanting to overstep their bounds and interfere with Jubilife Village's practices.

Adaman's face lit up with a smile as he spoke confidently, "Alright then, we've come to a decision. There's no time like the present to take action."

Irida, with a stern expression, warned her, "You need to be aware of something critical. The lord of the Woods, Kleavor, is descended from a Pokemon blessed with the Almighty Sinnoh's power. This makes him the strongest Pokemon you've ever encountered. He's a force to be reckoned with, and you must be prepared to face him if the need arises."

As they left the office, Adaman and Irida's words echoed in her mind, and she couldn't help but wonder what the encounter held for her.

The clan leaders When she had just walked out of sight and hearing range, Kamado turned to her and spoke firmly, "Listen to me, girl. We need to be very careful about our actions as the Galaxy Expedition team has come to the Hisui region as outsiders. Some people even call us Interlopers. It is crucial that we do not do anything to jeopardize our relations with the Diamond Clan and the Pearl Clan. Do you understand?" Kamado's tone was severe, and he almost yelled at Destiny. She nodded in agreement to show that she understood the seriousness of the situation.

The captain then appeared behind Destiny and said, "Join me downstairs. Destiny will explain the details of this new Mission." The captain's expression was stern, and there was a hint of disapproval in her eyes, but she didn't say anything more.

Destiny was then escorted to her office, where she met the Professor and Rei. The office was well-lit with a comfortable atmosphere. They all stood next to the captain's desk, and the Professor explained the details of their new Mission.

"Welcome, I'm glad to see you're all here," the Professor said as he greeted them from the entryway of his lab.

"Professor Laventon, please begin with the briefing," Captain Cyllene nodded, ensuring everyone was paying attention.

"Of course. Destiny, your task is to investigate the cause of Kleavor's frenzied state. However, it's important to note that Kleavor is a powerful creature and is almost invincible," the Professor explained, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. "The security corps attempted to subdue Kleavor by throwing pokeballs, but they were unsuccessful in capturing him. This is particularly concerning because Kleavor is more difficult to catch than even the most aggressive wild Pokemon that cannot be caught outside of battle," the Professor shook his head grimly.

He then continued, "We need to figure out what is causing Kleavor's aggressive behavior before it causes any more damage. We have reason to believe that he may be under the influence of a powerful external force. Your task is to investigate and report back to us as soon as possible."

Captain Cyllene spoke with a stern tone, making sure to emphasize the gravity of the situation. "I want to make something obvious to you," she told Destiny. "This Mission will be dangerous, and you will be putting yourself in harm's way. Are you confident in your ability to handle this?"

Destiny took a moment to collect her thoughts before replying. Although she was nervous, she knew she had to be resolute. "Yes, I believe I can handle it," she said, her voice steady.

"Excellent," said the Captain. "Now, let's go over the details. The Diamond and Pearl Clans hold their nobles in high regard. They believe that these Pokemon serve their Almighty Sinnoh and offer gratitude to them through offerings. These offerings are left at locations that they refer to as the Noble's seat."

The Professor said, "To begin our research, we should try to discover the specific types of offerings left for this Kleavor. This information could give us valuable insight into the beliefs and practices of the clans to see what made Kleavor lose control."

Mai's voice echoed through the room, breaking the silence that had hung heavy in the air. "Destiny, we need to talk," she exclaimed, her tone urgent and severe. Her sudden outburst jolted everyone in the room, and they swiveled around to see what was happening. To their surprise, Mai and Adaman had made an unexpected appearance. They stood at the entrance, looking at Destiny with a mix of concern and anxiety etched on their faces.

"Let me explain to you about the Rift of space-time," Adaman said as he approached Destiny. "It connects this world to another world where the real Almighty Sinnoh resides, the one that rules over Time. If you ever fell through the space-time Rift, it would mean that you traveled through Time by the power of the Almighty Sinnoh itself. You must have felt like you were swimming in divine might, surrounded by its power and energy."

Adaman then asked for a favor from Destiny, who was visibly shocked at the request. "I have a request for you, my dear. Do not just study Kleavor, but quell its frenzy. It is a dangerous creature that needs to be stopped before it causes more harm. I know it's a difficult task, but I have faith in you as an amazing time traveler."

Destiny was still stunned and speechless, trying to process Adaman's words. However, the Professor spoke up for her, acknowledging the request and promising to help her in any way he could.

"Good timing, Young Adaman," exclaimed the Professor. "We were just discussing our next steps to deal with the Kleavor situation."

"Ah, you must be the renowned scholar from the Galaxy team. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Professor. I would love to learn from your extensive knowledge. Allow me to elaborate," said Adaman, turning to Destiny, who was still staring at him with shock, confusion, and worry.

"The Pearl Clan types hold Kleavor in high regard due to his title, 'Lord of the Woods.' They would prefer to resolve the situation, but asking the Galaxy team for assistance is challenging. Meanwhile, the Diamond Clan is also facing a similar problem. We have a beloved Pokemon, residing in the mountains, who has succumbed to the same frenzy as Kleavor. Although the Pearl Clan and we have unresolved issues, we all share Hisui, and therefore, we must work together to solve our problems," Adaman explained with conviction.

He finished his speech, and the room fell silent as everyone pondered the gravity of the situation.

Mai spoke up from behind Adaman with a hopeful look on her face. "But there aren't many capable of standing up to such powerful Pokemon, you're the best hope we've got. You'll find Kleavor at the GrandTree Arena, which is located in the heart of the Heartwood. His warden is a boy named Lian, who is a brilliant child but can be a bit overwhelming with his enthusiasm. He'll tell you all about his beloved Kleavor, whether you wish him to or not," Mai said, rolling her eyes.

"Anyway, I'm sure you're up to the challenge, so we'll be counting on you," Adaman said with a smile.

"I can try my best," Destiny spoke softly to the clan leader.

"Alright then, see you later," Adaman said as he turned around and walked out of the office with Mai, leaving Destiny with the Professor, Rei, and Captain Cyllene.

Rei let out a bored sigh after Adman and Mai left the room. "Wow, he just said his piece and then vanished. I guess he values his Time that much," he commented.

The Professor chimed in, "Adaman and Mai were not wrong. If you want to study and perhaps even quell Kleavor, it's essential to start by visiting his abode."

Rei added, "Now that we have the Heights Camp, it should be handy for getting to Grandtree Arena. We must choose our Pokemon team carefully, especially now that we're facing Kleavor. Don't forget to visit the pastures; it's vital to get the best Pokemon on your team."

With that, Rei stood up and said, "I'm going to get ready. You should too," as she headed to her room to prepare.

Destiny nodded as the captain dismissed them, allowing them to prepare for their next expedition. She returned home to gather a few things before leaving the gate. As she was walking, she heard someone calling out to her from behind. She turned around to see her new friend Volo walking up to her with a warm smile.

"How are things, my good friend?" Volo asked with a tone of genuine interest. Destiny couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort at the sight of her friend, as they had been through many adventures together.

Destiny returned the smile and replied, "Things are going well, Volo. Just getting ready for the next expedition. And yes, I have been putting that secret back strike technique you taught me to good use."

Volo chuckled at her response. "I'm glad to hear that. You are a quick learner. I'm sure you'll do great on this expedition."

Destiny was grateful for the help Volo had provided her with. "Yes, it has helped me catch a couple of Pokemon, and it even helped me get out of some situations that I didn't want to be a part of," she said, nodding in appreciation.

The kind-hearted businessman Volo smiled at her and handed her a couple of jars filled with Super Potions. "Either way, I have some Super Potions here just for you," he said, offering them to her.

Feeling overwhelmed, Destiny tried to balance all the jars as she asked, "Oh, you don't have to... How much do I owe you for these?"

Volo dismissed her concerns with a wave of his hand. "Oh, think nothing of it," he said. "Having the Survey Corps out and about studying Pokemon is great for business, you know. Supporting you now is actually an investment in my own fortunes."

Destiny was touched by his words and thanked him again. "Either way, thank you so much, Volo," she said with gratitude.

As Volo prepared to leave, he told the guard where he would be before disappearing through the gate. "And now I must depart. There are ruins that are just calling to me," he said, his voice trailing off.

Destiny watched him go, feeling a sense of admiration for his adventurous spirit. Although she couldn't join him on his quest, she felt inspired to pursue her goals and set off in a different direction.
