Chapter 1: New Year

It was New year's eve and we were all getting ourselves ready to watch the ball drop, at midnight, like for example Cubby and Izzy were decorating our hideout home with new Year's eve decoration. There were balloons that had 2024 written on it, streamers on the walls and chairs, baby Issac, sitting on a blanket wearing a new Year's hat and holding a noisemaker. While I was playing a game of peekaboo, with Issac, Izzy was creating a baby photoshoot for our little guy.

"Hey, Jake, get over here and bring Issac." Izzy told me as I did.

"Great! Ready for your first baby photoshoot, Issac?" I asked as he looked at me.

"Alright, everyone say new years!" Izzy told us as we said it as the camera flashed.

But once the camera started to flash and stopped, Baby Issac started to cry.

"Oh no, baby Issac, don't cry it's okay. I was just a camera. How about we do it without the flash?" Izzy suggested.

"That's a great idea!" I agreed

So that's what we did, we took another picture but this time without the flash and it worked perfectly.

"Hey, Jake, can we have cake now?" Cubby asked.

"Not now." I told him.

"Fine." Cubby answered.

Izzy's POV

"Okay it's almost 7:00 pm so let's give Issac his kiss." Jake told me as we knelt down to our son's level and kissed his cheeks.

"Alright, little guy let's you get you ready for bed." Jake said as he picked him up, and took him to his crib.

"I'll be back, my love." Jake told me.

"Okay, my handsome prince." I answered.

"Hey, Jake, I was thinking, we should invite Stormy." Izzy said as he was tucking Issac in his crib.

"Oh, sure we can invite her, she's part of the family too." Jake answered.

"Hey, did somebody call me?" Stormy asked as she popped her head thought the door.

"Oh hey, Stormy! How would you like to join us for the New Year's eve ball drop?" I exclaimed.

"I'd love to!" Stormy answered.

"Great! Cubby's in the living room." I told her.

"Thanks, Izzy!" Stormy thanked me.

"You're welcome, Stormy." I said as we all left Issac alone in his crib with the door cracked open and the baby monitor on.

As we went back downstairs, Stormy and Cubby were watching the party on TV.

"Hey, did the ball drop yet? Did we miss it?" Izzy asked with excitement.

"Uh, no, but it's now 11:30pm/" Cubby told us.

"Huh? He's right it is 11:30pm. Wow, time is flying fast tonight." Jake said.

I agree with you, Jake." Stormy exclaimed.

"Okay, everyone grab your hats, and noisemaker the countdown is about to begin.. Let's all gather together and start welcoming 2024." Jake said.

"Uh, Jake, the ball doesn't drop till midnight.." Cubby reminded him.

"Oh, yeah sorry." Jake apologize.

"And it's on;y 11:35 pm, my love." I said.

"Aww, man." Jake said disappointed.

"So, what can we do in the meantime?" Stormy wanted to know..

"We can watch the rest of the performers on TV." Cubby suggested.

"I'll get the popcorn.." Cubby told us as he went into the kitchen.

"I got the popcorn."

"Actor and TV personality Jonathan Bennett and longtime host Jeremy Hassell will return to co-host the 2024 New Year's Eve ball drop in Times Square. The event will feature musical performances by Paul Anka and Flo Rida, plus a surprise video appearance and performance right after the ball drops at midnight." Stormy said.

"Oh boy, can't wait to sing to all of the songs!" Izzy exclaimed with excitment..

Jake's POV

"Okay, are you feeling alright, Iz?" I asked.

"Of course I'm alright Jake." Izzy answered.

"It is about, to be midnight, so grab your hates and noisemaker, and get ready to count down cause it is now 11:58pm" The Tv told us.

"Only 10 seconds till 12am." The TV co-host exclaimed.

"Oh my god, here we go! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Happy new year!" We all said as Izzy and I along with Cubby and Stormy shared a kiss with each other.

After our long kiss with our girlfriends, we went to the window and watched the fireworks that was outside.

"Happy first new year Issac!" We whispered as we went to check on him as he was sound asleep in his crib.
