Chapter 4 Valentine's Day

Jake's POV

"Hi, Jake! Happy Valentine's Day my handsome boyfriend!" Izzy said as she handed me my Valentine's Day gift.

"Izzy what's this?" I asked while opening the box.

"I don't know." Izzy said while playing around with me.

"Once I opened the box, I found a box of heart shaped cookies that read" I love my boyfriend Jake on it. Not only that, I found pictures of Izzy and I on each of them.

"Wow, I love these thanks! Oh, I uh, I got you something too I mean it's not much but I hope it's worth the wait on this special day Izzy." I told her as I placed a necklace around her neck.

"J x I?" Izzy asked as I giggled.

"Well, I... yeah. It's you and me." I told her.

"Who had the best boyfriend in the world?" Izzy wanted to know.

"Me!" I answered.

"Hey, want to go to a restaurant with me for Valentine's Day?" I exclaimed.

"Sure, Jake. Oh but what about Isaac?" Izzy asked as Cubby and Stormy came over.

"Hey, we would be happy to babysit our little nephew." Cubby said with a smile along with Stormy doing the same.

"Oh thanks guys, but you don't have to..." Izzy was about to finish but got cut off by Stormy.

"Oh but we want to take care of our cute little nephew." Cubby replied.

"Well, okay then come on Izzy let's get ready for our Valentine's Day dinner date." I told her as we went into our bedroom and got ready for our date.

Cubby's POV

"Who's excited to play with their uncle Cubby and Aunt Stormy?" I asked Isaac as he then threw up on my shirt.

"Ewe, Isaac." I said as Stormy took him to get their nephew up.

"Yeah I am going to go take a shower." I shouted as she nodded and left with Isaac.

Izzy's POV

"Hey, Jake have you seen my lipstick?" I asked.

"I'll help you find it before we go." Jake told me as we looked everywhere for my lipstick.

"Found it! It was under our bed." Jake said as he grabbed it and handed it to me.

"Thanks, Jake!" I thanked him as I placed my lipstick on my lips.

"Hey, are you almost done?" Jake asked.

"Yep! Let's go, Jake!" I told him as he came out wearing a suit.

"Whoa, Jake you clean up nice." I complimented on his outfit.

"I can't wait for this dinner date of ours Izzy said as he used a comb and gel to comb his hair back.

"Wow, you're a hunk now, Jake grrr." I said as I walked up to him.

"How about we go to the restaurant and you can continue to talk about how clean I look while we order our food?" Jake wanted to know.

"Ooh, being romantic are we?" I asked.

"Maybe." Jake andwred.

"You're giving me some really good vibes." I exclaimed .

"Come on we better go, my sweetie." I said as Jake handed me my purse he grabbed his keys and we both walked downstairs.

"What do you think? Does mama look beautiful?" I asked our son.

"Izzy, he won't understand." Jake said.

"Isaac, does mama look beautiful?" I asked as he blinked his cute eyes.

"That's a yes, so he understands. So, ha!" I said the last words to Jake as he grabbed my hand.

Jake's POV

"Let's go, Izzy." I told her as I took her arm and pulled her to the car.

"I'll miss you Isaac." Izzy told him.

"Oh, brother." I exclaimed as my girlfriend got into the passenger seat and buckled herself in.

"Bye my boy. Be good for uncle Cubby and your Aunt Stormy." I told him as he smiled and looked at his uncle and Aunt.

As I go into the car, put the key in the ignition the car started up, I cleaned the door, placed my seatbelt on and drove off with Izzy reading a book in the meantime.

"What book are you reading?" I asked.

"Oh, this really great book called The Great Elf detective." Izzy told me.

"Cool!" I answered .

"Hey, look we're here." Izzy said.

"Yup, let me just find parking first." I exclaimed as I found a perfect parking spot.

"Jake, this is a perfect parking spot!" Izzy told me as I smiled.

Izzy's POV

"Thanks! Come on, let's go eat some delicious dinner." Jake told me as we held hands together and went inside the restaurant.

"Hello, welcome to el Restaurant. Did you make a reservation?" The man asked,

"Yes! Table for two please? It should be under Hutchison." Jake told the man as he began to look up his last name.

"Ah, yes! Hutchison Jake! Follow me. By the way, my name is John.

"Nice to meet you John. I'm Izzy and this is my boyfriend Jake." I introduced myself and Jake to John.

"Well, here we are the best private romantic area in the restaurant." John told us as I looked at Jake.

"I wanted to make sure there was a special area for couples like us to get this spot." Jake told me as I hugged him.

"Aww, you're welcome Izzy!" Come on, let's start looking at the menu and order our dinner.

"Here you go Izzy." Jake said as he pulled out my seat for me.

"Thanks, my handsome hunky boyfriend." I thanked him.

"Hello, my name is Nick. I'll be your waiter this evening. So, what will you have?" Nick, our waiter asked Jake and I.

"Okay, do you have steak?" I asked as Jake looked up from his menu.

"You... are not eating steak." Jake told me.

"Please Jake?" I asked with my puppy eyes.

"You can have chicken, with rice and baby corn." Jake said.

"Ugh, fine." I said as I cave in.

"Good. Oh I'm having a salad for dinner tonight." Jake exclaimed as I was shocked with my mouth open.

"Oh, come on!" I said annoyed.

"Calm down Izzy, I'll share some with you." Jake told me as I smiled.

"Okay, that's far enough." I answered as Nick came back with our food.

"Oh wow, food!" I said with excitement.

Jake's POV

"Okay, Ms. Green chill." I told her as she was eating her dinner.

"Sorry, Jake, I was just so hungry tonight." Izzy told me as she was stuffing her mouth with food.

"Okay, slow down girl, your food isn't going anywhere." I said as she started to slow her eating.

"Also we just got here, remember." I reminded her.

"Oh yeah, sorry." Izzy apologized after taking a sip of her water.

"It's okay." I said.

"I can't believe we have a sim who is now one month old. Can't you believe it Iz?" I wanted to know.

"Yeah, he's growing up so fast. But I can't take my face away from his chubby face." Izzy told me.

"Huh? How come?" I exclaimed.

"Well, he's so cute, adorable and just... so... chubby!" Izzy said as I had to laugh.

"Haha, yeah he is so chubby. He's our baby boy. I don't want his chubby face to go away anytime soon." I said with a smile.

"Uh, Jake, you do realize at some point in time Isaac's chubby face will leave right?" Izzy asked.

"Dang it." I said in disappointment.

"It's okay, Jake, maybe when we are ready again we can have a daughter." Izzy said as I spit out my drink.

"WHAT!? No, no more babies." I told her.

"Boo, you make me upset." Izzy said.

"Sorry." Izzy apologized while she continued to eat her dinner.

"How's your salad?" Izzy asked.

"It's good, thanks." I thanked her."

"How's yours?" Jake wanted to know.

"Good, thanks!" It was Izzy's turn to thank me.

"Hello, Mr. Hutchison, and Ms. Green, how are you two enjoying your dinner tonight?" Nick asked.

"They're delicious, thanks!" We both thanked him.

"Hey, are you two ready for dessert?" Nick wanted to know as Izzy and I looked at each other and smiled.

Izzy's POV

"Sure! What do you recommend?" Jake asked.

"I highly recommend the ice cream Sundays. they are really popular here at el restaurant." Nick told us.

"Will, have ice cream Sundays please." I told him as he nodded his head and left.

"Oh, wait, what flavor of ice cream do you teens want?" Nick asked.

"Chocolate is fine." I told him as he gave us a thumbs up.

"So, what do you want to do when we arrive back home?" Jake asked.

"I guess, go to sleep." I answered.

"Sounds good to me. Wait, but Isaac will start crying all night again." Jake reminded me.

"Hmm, good point. Maybe, Cubby and Stormy can help with that part while we sleep tonight?" I suggested.

"Hey, that's a great idea Iz." Jake agreed with my idea as Nick came back with our ice cream Sundays.

"Thanks, Nick!" We thanked him as John came over with the bill.

"Oh yeah, thanks John." Jake thanked him.

Jake's POV

"Do you pay with cash or card?" I wanted to know.

"Cash is acceptable." John told me.

"How much do I owe you?" I need to know in order to give him the right money.

"Jake, why not just use a debit card?" Izzy suggested as I looked at John.

"Can I use my debit card instead?" I wanted to know as he nodded his head yes.

As soon we were done with our ice cream, and I payed for our food using my debit card, Izzy grabbed her purse, I reached into my pocket and my keys, we walked over to the car, got in, buckled ourselves in and drove back home to Pirate Island.

Cubby's POV

"So, how did you enjoy dinner?" I asked my girlfriend Stormy.

"Cubby, you made one good steak! It was delicious. Thank you!" Stormy thanked me.

"You're welcome." I answered.

"We're home! Where is my baby boy?" We heard Izzy's voice.

"I'm right here, Izzy." We heard Jake as well.

Izzy's POV

"Not you the baby, huh?" I told him.

"Woopsie, sorry." Jake apologized.

"It's OK." I exclaimed.

" lOh yeah and to answer your question about where Isaac is, he's in his crib sleeping. Stormy did a good job, rocking him to sleep.

"Way to go Stormy." Jake said as he took off his blazer jacket.

" I have an idea, let's end this day by watching a movie together. A Valentine's Day Romantic movie." I suggested.

" i'm not too sure about that idea because every time we watch a movie together or actually any movie you fall asleep." Jake told me.

"OK name one time I fell asleep during the movie?" I said.

"All right, beauty and the beast." Jake exclaimed

"On the contrary, Jake, I have a list of movies that she fell asleep through." Cubby said as he pulled out a list.

"Shouldn't I be the one holding that list?" Jake asked.

"But, of course, what was I thinking? Is that I made this list just for you!" Cubby said as he gave Jake the list.

"Thank you Cubby!" Jake thanked him as we all sat down on the living room couch and started to watch a romantic Valentine's Day movie together with our boyfriends.
