This whole chapter will strictly be Loki's POV.

I love switching back and forth getting both of their perspectives and personalities arranged. BUT… In this chapter, we won't see Annaleise's. There are some things I like to leave a Mystery. ;)

Also much, much, much violence and gore.

Readers, you have been warned.

Enjoy!

The horses were gone, they were chased off by the impending doom that towered over them, not by the tall trees in the forest…. But, by something far more sinister…

He didn't know how bad the situation was. He figured it was one or two…

He never thought he'd be surrounded…

When one came from shadows, two more came from behind. Then, the more he looked around himself the more they came in. If they all held abilities, it wasn't going to be easy….

There had to be thirty, with unknown powers or skills…

But they…

WILL NEVER TAKE HER FROM HIM!

Until he is dead, they will never reach her!

He held her close to him trying his best to cover up her bodice from prying eyes. She wouldn't want to be indecent, so he would make sure she would get what she would want…

His jacket was loose, it would fight to hold onto her little body. So he had to pull it over her and try his best to hold in her warmth as he held her tight against his body. Cradling her head on his shoulder letting her rest through whatever they drugged her with…

The anger of that settling in as well… they dare to drug her, dare to try to take her, dare to terrify her under his care….

Only made the urge to make sure they suffer the wrath of a raging God much more possible in the near future. They will learn Monsters are real, when he gets ahold of them.

Finally once they stopped their intimidating display in numbers one of them stepped forward and spoke up… He didn't look happy…

"This girl has been way too much trouble… We finally found her, we are THIS close to grabbing her… and she goes and finds A FUCKING BODY GUARD! Fantastic!"

The furious man waves his arms in the air in his exaggerated tone.

They all wore cloaks covering their faces. They were of different shapes and sizes but most of them were easily spotted to not look so human. Some had growth of some kind shaping their bodies to look more to their possibly related abilities… At least two of them were of beastly size, one with a very obvious long green tail. The one in front of them looked like a man. But looks can be deceiving…

"AND!!! STORM IS DEAD!?! YOU DRAINED HIS BLOOD, GREAT!"

He shouted louder in his anger.

"His blood kept one of us safe for a little while longer. He was next in line, it was HIS JOB! He was supposed to be on top of it. HE SAID, 'Yea, I got this bitch, she's mine.' with that sick twisted grin of his…"

He mocked the dead man in a twisted tone that sounded a lot like him when he had his tongue… He was glad he cut it off, that man shouldn't have said such things about her… and…

He had a chance to step into his head before he slit his throat…

After he watched the last minutes of his memory before he died… the audacity… his tongue gracing her cheek… the way her screams did not affect that man as it did to him… made his entire body shake with nothing but hatred and violence… he loved watching him choke on his own blood…

"I was happy to spill all of it…"

He said in the coldest tone he ever heard himself speak. As they all glared daggers in his direction.

He continued.

"That little pathetic waste of existence had it coming, daring to lay his filthy hands on her bare body by force. He's lucky he even had a body, I wanted him in pieces…"

"He wasn't yours to kill! Don't you see?! We are trying to survive! His body would have lasted us months till we found another. He was the sickest in the head out of all of us, so we didn't mind sending him if he was injured. HE'S NOT USEFUL TO US DEAD AND DRAINED OF HIS BLOOD!!!"

"He should have thought of that before he decided to forget how a woman is to be respected and cherished… Especially this woman…"

He looked down at her hair as it fell over her face and his chest. He saw it shimmer with her skin in the moonlight. He continued.

"He signed his death sentence the moment he decided to take her for himself."

"Well now since he's dead we have no choice but to take her. She's the only one keeping us alive for a little while longer. It took us too long to find her, we haven't been able to find more. She may be our last shot. We need more time."

The man said looking at her with desperation, like she was in fact the only key for them to survive the threat they fear.

Are they THAT afraid of this man?

They have all this power and won't use it against him, why not?

They closed in on him making his circle smaller, making him hold her tightly to his body. Making sure his grip was tight enough not to crush her but enough to keep her inside his grasp.

"If you all wish to meet the same fate as your 'friend'... try it…"

"I don't know how you managed to kill one of us, but I highly doubt you can take on all of us."

The cloaked man said with an evil smile. Extending his arms to display his many… many friends… each as disturbing as the last.

Smiling and laughing, mocking him in his solo bravery… they probably felt he was the one who should be afraid… they were wrong…

He just needed a good strategy… he also needed to see how far they were willing to go…

"Just hand her over, we don't have to shed any needless blood. But we will…"

"Over… my… dead… body!"

His blood boiling with a firing rage as he realized they meant serious harm to him, but… what were they willing to expend?… they may not care if she gets hurt…

He had to keep her safe at all cost!

"IT IS YOUR BLOOD THAT WILL SPILL TONIGHT!"

He stood tall with Annaleise cradled in one arm, maneuvering his one hand with his dagger. Pointing it at the hooded man ahead of him.

They all laughed glancing at each other, unfazed by his brutal death glare...

"We envy your bravery. It's inspiring, but foolish."

"YOU were the fool to laugh at the face of a God…."

"Huh?"

The cloaked man's face dropped his smile as Loki disappeared in front of him. They all were stunned as they frantically looked around for him. Till they were surrounded by clones of himself doubling their crowd. The looks on their faces turned from confidence and arrogance to shock… confusion… horror…

They didn't see it for what it was, an illusion.

He used it to his advantage as he took the smaller ones down while they were distracted by the clones.

Slitting their throats… Watching the life leave them as they fall to the ground, clutching at their necks to stop the blood. Gasping for a breath with nothing but their own red flows, stopping the air from reaching them as the lay on the ground…

For some reason… it was very enjoyable… the precious blood that man wants so badly…watching it all spill to the forest floor.

Throwing daggers to any that noticed his presence. He tried his best to keep her invisible but it was obvious he was only using one arm. So it pointed him out, especially since the clones were being swept through like they were air. He was the only one that would dodge.

He reached his seventh kill by the time they caught on. Most of the clones are gone, he can't keep his focus on that many clones and fight. They started to figure out who the real one was. A man closest to him swung his arms in attempt to slice at him as his hands turned into blades.

Loki reacted by blocking him using an energy blast, his arms blew away from him, his most vulnerable spots were open and bare. He counterattacked by slicing his dagger towards his throat. Only for it to make the sound of scrapping metal… he can morph his entire body from metal into any object he desired. He could tell, after his hand turned into a large axe and attempted to swing at him.

Loki barley made his escape from it, its aim was for his arm holding Annaleise. But, it only grazed him, nearly slicing off the tips of her hair, the axe scraping against his amror. With enough force it could have been worse, his armor was strong but not indestructible.

That man was too close… he had to get away. He had conjured his Asgardian armor but she had none. Loki only had one arm, and one weapon … This man's body was his own armor and weapon!

He was too close to hurting her…

Loki ran into another direction, only to be stopped by a giant beast… he was tall, with claws, and had a large growth on his back making him hunch over. His beady orange eyes contrasting to his grey skin. His teeth looked ready for carnage, each tooth sharp as a blade…

Startled by the appearance, he didn't react in time enough to get away from his claws as they swept towards him… once again the attack was aimed for her…. He turned his back bracing his body around her… only to feel it's claws make contact. Going through his armor, taking a lot of his flesh as deep slices on his back gushed his own blood….

Damn! At this rate he was useless to her, there were too many! They are so hell bent to get her, they don't care how they attack. He was getting hurt a lot faster than anticipated…

He tried his best not to look phased by the attack. He disappeared once again from their view, casting an illusion of himself as a distraction. He slipped away as multiple of his clones surrounded him. He found a gap through one of the weaker looking goons, taking their life swiftly as he passed them. His invisibility fading, he couldn't hold his concentration for how many clones he was powering to keep most of them distracted.

He was so close to escape, he had no choice but to run. He wasn't able to protect her like this…

Then suddenly a long limb that looked like a tail swept him from under his feet sending him to the ground, Annaleise landing a foot from him.

He saw her laying amongst the grass, sleeping soundly as the tail started to wrap itself around her legs dragging her.

He tried to get up to reach to her, till a foot slammed on his back. Making him shout out as the gashes on his back spewed blood from the action. He was squirming under the large foot, it had claws that dug into his back through the gaps in his armor. Digging into his wounds the more he struggled. Causing him to wail in pain. But he continued to fight… continued to struggle… the pain meaning nothing to him as he desperately tried to reach her….

"N-NO!"

Annaleise's hair left the ground as she was lifted into the air, making her way towards the hooded man from before. He extended his arms to catch her as the creature set her into his hold. Holding her, as he looked down at her triumphantly.

Loki fumed on the ground, his anger soaring to new heights as he witnessed the man's discusting look of victory. He will not let him win!

He tried his best to get away, the claw in his back dug deeper. Holding him as he failed at all the attempts to get away. But he fought…. And fought… he was losing a lot of blood…. But he didn't care… seeing her in that man's grasp meant death…. HE CAN'T LOSE HER!

"I have to admit… you killed more of us than I thought possible… You're tougher than you look… Even now you're still fighting your death…"

The man looked to his dead comrades, looking to be rising in his heat of anger.

"You shortened our time… there's no doubt HE will not be happy…"

Loki was tired of this. He hated not knowing why the hell they fought so hard for this… why take her? What are they so afraid of?!

"All these abilities… and your afraid of a powerless man that takes your powers! What does he have that you can't already do!?! He can't be that dangerous!"

"It's either spending a life hunting his prey, or becoming his prey. We hunt for another day to live… or spend our entire lives running and waiting for our last day on earth… This man is ruthless… Hell bent on being the most powerful… the strongest… he's trying to become a God… he will do anything to get it…. if only he didn't live under so much money and power… he could be stoppable then…"

The look on his face didn't look like one of a man that was truly evil….just afraid… being forced to commit evil actions for his own life…

That didn't mean he couldn't find another way! He didn't have to take her from him!

"Why her?! Why take her?! She didn't want any of this, neither do you!"

"If it's not her… it's one of us…"

"Why won't he stop?! Why take innocent lives for power that doesn't even last?!"

The man stood in silence contemplating on whether to give him any answers… possibly after the fact he murdered a good number of them, giving them less time to flee… to be free of the threat. Finally, he decided to speak.

"You're going to die, I'm not going to let you live after this… so maybe it wouldn't hurt to tell you… you're taking this with you to your grave… One of us is the key…"

"What?"

The man sighed, frustrated to even be answering but continued.

"One of us… can give him powers for good."

He was in shock, he wondered if it was truly possible… or if it was a wild chase that just led to more death.

"How does he know?"

"The science that created us, it was a special gene. These genes heal the sick, make the host healthy while giving them their abilities. Without the doctor that created the gene, he wasn't able to modify it to stay in healthy host. With the doctor dead… with no way to complete the work…his last choice was us. He discovered our blood can give him abilities for only a temporary amount of time. Lucky for him he was born with the blood type that is the recipient for all blood types… After a good number of us died in his lust for power. He finally came across the answer… There were notes he discovered from the working scientists on the project… that said she had an X-patient… a patient whose blood was the key… that they held the modified gene in their blood… the gene that could be held in any host, healthy or not… they would be his permanent victory to power… He just doesn't know who…"

Then it won't stop… it won't be over till this man has wiped them out… Annaleise may be the key… Why else would Jena fight so hard to keep her safe if she wasn't? But that still meant that if they took her… she would die…

He can't! He won't let her die! He…

Didn't want to live another day without seeing her smile… her warmth… her heart still beating…. He…

He couldn't stand it, his chest hurt. He could hardly breathe thinking of her house empty and cold.

He really did love her!

He had to think of something! Anything! All that remained in his control was his silver tongue.

"She's useless to your cause, she can't even control her abilities. She is weaker than all of you."

The hooded man looked at the small sleeping woman, as did he, her white hair still glistening in the moonlight. Her face tensed in her sleep. He witnessed the man's grip tighten on her as he turned to walk away.

"She maybe weak, but she could keep us safe… at least for another day."

"NO!"

He reached out for her, pleading in his reply trying to get away from the beast's clutches.

Then it hit him, an overwhelming power within him. The cold blue skin fading over his pale complexion with the inbedded tattoos of his Jotun blood. His body responds before his brain, instinct takes over as he summons ice from the ground piercing through the beast's chest cavity. It cries out its final breath as its green blood drips over him. Its body going limp and dangling above the ground… its claw ripped from Loki's back. Leaving him to fight the pain and struggling to stand on his own. Blood red eyes glaring at the face of this hooded man that held on tightly to his treasure.

He took off his hood to reveal three red eyes of his own. Staring at Loki in shock, he quickly reacted before the next attack. His stare intensified and suddenly Loki was paralyzed… he couldn't move an inch… then his entire body writhed in pain. It was like his own blood was boiling, his muscles fighting against him, and his head felt like it was going to explode. His complexion changed back to pale as he held his head in agony.

Loki cried out, moving his hands and holding his body everywhere it hurt, not knowing how to stop the pain. Then he heard the man speak once again.

"I'm getting sick of this! STOP KILLING US!!!"

He screamed out bloody murder as the pain intensified. Collapsing to the ground, he was on his back arching his spine as he hollered in his torture.

"It's about time you stop being such a nuisance, I was going to let your death be quick… but now I want to watch you die… slowly seeping into madness… as I make your entire body fight itself…"

His stare sent waves of red at Loki, making him cry into the forest. He dug his hands in the dirt, kicking his legs frantically trying to use them to stand. But his body wouldn't listen… all he could feel was his consciousness fading… his head hammering… his heart aching… he rolled over to his stomach. Gripping anything and everything he can to pull his body… he spent the last of his energy reaching for her… trying to get to her…

"Still determined?... you really must be crazy for this girl… such a shame to see you go to waste like this. I would have let you lived if you had just walked away. Too bad your not one of us, we could have offered your blood instead. But then…. I wouldn't have the pleasure of watching you squirm."

He said with a wicked smile. Seeming to enjoy the pain he brought to Loki.

Until suddenly the pain stopped, he tried to focus any remaining vision he had on her capter. Only to watch as blood left his mouth with his look of victory turned to a look of confusion. This head turned to look at the small woman in his arms. Her eyes were now open.

Both men looked in shock as her hand laying on his chest had a grip that started to turn red and spill out like a fountain as it dug deeper into his chest. Then she ripped it from his chest. As her now long claws gripped tightly on his heart, her blue eyes now a pair of glowing violet eyes, the slits of her pupils sharp. Her warm gaze now cold as she was staring up at him.

His grip loosened on her. Unfazed as she stepped down from his grasp, standing in front to him as he coughed and choked… the life fading in his eyes as he spent his final moments watching her crush his heart into mush.

He falls dead before he hits the ground. His three eyes open and staring off in a lifeless gaze.

She tossed the remainder of what was left out of her hands, over her shoulder carelessly. Bringing her hand up to her mouth, licking her claws of the blood that covered them.

"Hmmm… Did blood always taste this sweet?"

She said as her tongue traced along her lips, smiling as she whipped the remaing blood clean off her hands. Her hand moving so swift the eye couldn't see it.

She was Annaleise… but she wasn't acting like her… she didn't even look like her… it was like she was someone else.

The others stood around her in shock and bewilderment as she gave them her look of murderous intent. Her smile getting wider and looking more sinister as she spoke.

"I am tired of running… it's time I play a part in this little game of cat and mouse… let the hunters… become the hunted…"

Her voice became more deep and smooth as her body began to grow in size and length. Her jacket falling off to reveal her bare back, as his view. The people in front were definitely enjoying themselves… at first… Revealing skin turned to scales as the remaining clothes ripped from her body.

Her claws becoming larger than daggers, her teeth becoming fangs, more scales formed along her body like armor, and horns grew from her head. Her body extended farther than he thought possible, she didn't seem to stop getting taller.

He held onto his consciousness, trying his best to witness her glory. Slowly gaining back is strength. Looking proudly at her with a smile, as her body took on a full form. One that was ten times the size of anything he has ever witnessed.

Her body towered over the trees as her big glowing eyes looked down on them from above. All of her enemies shaking with fear.

"As your punishment… for the pain of my loved ones… I think it's time for a snack."

Her voice echoing to the ground, feeling the vibrations in their feet from her deathly growl.

Before they even had a chance to run, they were being erased from existence one by one. Each one crumbling and being ripped to pieces by claws and teeth. Her entire body surrounded them trapping them inside a circle laced with blood and screams.

Her jaws chomping down, her sharp teeth piercing through every one of them. Her gaze fell on something shimmering in the moonlight, as she reached for the metal man with her claws. His hand turned to a sword as he sliced at her as hard as he could, but it had no effect. Her scales must have been harder than diamonds as it broke his metal hand clean off. He cried out as he clutched his hand in agony. Only for his screams to be silenced as her teeth chomped down, his head snapped off under the power of her terrifying jaws. His metal body collapsed, turning to flesh, his silver blood faded to red as it spilled on the ground soaking into the green grass.

Only five of them remained. All of their companions whipped out in almost an instant. Nothing but red and normal looking body parts covered the entire circle.

The last of them were crowded together on their knees, their heads bowed in fear and terror. They cried out begging for mercy. One of their voices loud and clear but shaking in her horror.

"PLEASE! WE ARE SORRY!!! WE WILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE! JUST PLEASE! LET US LIVE! YOU WILL NEVER SEE US AGAIN! WE WONT TELL HIM WHERE YOU ARE!! WE SWEAR!!!"

Her glowing violet eyes shined over them, it's pupils as sharp as a blade. Here galaxy eyes look to be full of thought as she looked at the quivering cowards before her. As her mouth was covered in her enemies blood, dripping down from her ferocious teeth.

He looked around in awe at the masicer before him, it looked like a battlefield. With only one obvious Victor. Pieces of them scattered, not one body completely intact.

Annaleise was miles ahead of them, she was kind and caring… to the people she loved and cared for… but if you made her angry…

There was nothing that could compare to her might, she looked almost like a godly being…

He was highly Impressed with her… and terrified… he didnt think she was capable… now she's really scary… but kind of…. Hot?!?

How was that giant creature so… sexy?!?!

Is it from knowing it's Annaleise?!?!

He was majorly confused… maybe he lost too much blood and has gone beyond delusional. He figured it was about time he focused on healing, he forgot to after all that he witnessed… it was quite the battle… quick… but very efficient… she was not weak at all…

Her silence was deafening as she gazed on them. Each one of them was terrified to look at her in her power. Finally, she spoke.

"You can either live with me… or die…"

"WHAT?!?"

"WHAT?!?!?!?!"

They all shouted, Loki the loudest of them all. He spoke up to her in his shock and confusion.

"Are you crazy?! They tried to kill us?!?!"

She looked to Loki where he laid on the ground and spoke boldly as her voice was large and carried in vibrations throughout their circle.

"I killed all of their people, I feel it is more than fair I spare them. They didn't want to die. They were fighting for their lives. These are the only ones left that don't have the smell of death. Their 'friends' killed, these people couldn't for whatever reasons. If I kill them it makes me no better than their friends… I'd be a murder of the innocent."

They were silent, they didn't speak as they looked up to her in awe. Still shaking in fear, but less afraid than before.

"How do you know they are good?! You can't just go off of their scent alone!"

"The smell of a person and the sound of their heartbeat will never lie. These people were afraid, the others were too far gone. They were determined, they saw no other way. These people might see reason… if not I will kill them…"

She said, looking at them with a deathly glare. Making them all bow their heads and shake and whimper to themselves. Except for one in the back amongst them. They remained still and unaffected.

"But why live with us?! Why not let them go?!"

"Sending them back would mean death…"

His anger started to cool as he heard her loud voice turn soft.

"If they go back empty handed and with this many of their squad gone… If they don't talk… it means imprisonment, torture, or death will shortly follow. Sending them away solves nothing, it only wastes more lives… They deserve a chance to choose their fate. I don't wish to harm them if they choose to stay. I can keep them safe, and maybe we can all stop him together."

They looked up at her in disbelief and curiosity. Baffled at the kindness bestowed on them. They probably felt like they didn't deserve it for helping eliminate their own kind… but she was letting them decide… it was either go with her and live…

or go back to die…

"So… what do you choose?… I can make your death quick so you won't have to suffer if you'd rather that be your choice…"

They violently shook their heads, unable to speak in fear. None of them were able to give her a clear answer. They were all nervous and skeptical.Till one woman in the back of the group stood up and removed her hood revealing her white eyes, tan skin, and short brown bobbed hair. She walked up a few steps past her comrades and stood tall in her presence. They all looked to their comrade in hope, they seemed to trust this member of their group and her judgment..

"I can read minds, so I always end up hearing people. What they think or feel, how they plead so hard before they die… I've seen that evil man's thoughts, not one of them have any good about them. They all hold greed, violence, and chaos….Yours… they are calm… they are true… they are pure… I've never met a soul like you… despite all that you have done… you mean what you say and hold true to your words… If I am to fight for my life… I wish to fight with you, my lady…"

She bowed her head, kneeling before her.

Annaleise's reaction looked full of pride, she spoke once more.

"What do they call you?"

"Empath, but my real name was Monica."

"Monica, I promise with my life… I will end this… to all of you… I will stop his madness… I will end his chaos… I want to be free, same as all of you… I don't want to see any more lives lost to this man's evil doings… I will make him pay for his injustices… I will not rest until he is dead…"

She said in a determined voice with a burning fire, Loki could swear he saw. Its flames burned blue above her in her might.

The rest of them followed Monica in her stance, and kneeled bowing their heads.

She wasn't the weakest… he lied to protect her but he couldn't have been farther from the truth…

Despite her loneliness…

Despite her pain in her losses…

Despite her hardships she developed a kind nature…

She will do anything to fight for the people she holds dear…

She was born to be a leader all along… the key… to their survival…

If she is the key…

And that man does rain in riches and power…

Even in all her wonder, could he take out her light?

Does that mean she will die if she doesn't succeed?...

NO!

HE WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN!

He will be there for her rise and protect her from her downfall! He will protect her with his life! She was his most precious thing; he couldn't lose her!

She looked like a queen…. A queen he felt he didn't have the right to hold… so if anything he would at least be there to keep her safe…. To do anything to serve…

She may be a giant serpent, but a queen. Now that he really looked at her she looked like a Dragon. None that were of Asgard, she was completely different… None had anything with tree-like horns or with a serpent-like body.

It was still very hot…

Damn… he has a thing for giant snake creatures he guessed… he always liked snakes… Dragons have always been fascinating to him..

But he never thought he'd be turned on by one…

Should he speak with someone about this?… probably not… it sounds completely mad…

For some reason, though…

He felt like eyes were on him, but not physically… he felt… like his brain was being loud…

He looked to see the one that said she could read minds… she would be looking right at him if she had the ability to see…

He quickly put up wards on his thoughts to keep her nosy ass out of his head…

But he couldn't help but feel his face turning hot at the idea that she heard everything…

He tried his best to forget it ever happened, but if she could see him he was attempting to give her a death glare in his embarrassment.

The oddest thing about everything that happened was… Annaleise sounded like herself… but didn't at the same time… like it was another part of her that was present in her place. Still speaking with her kind thoughts and wisdom but had the strength to kill others… it was still his Annaleise right?

Wait… did he have the right to call her… his?…

Then the kiss popped up in his head… he looked over at the mindreader in a slight panic… Hoping even through all the barriers he placed… she didn't see a thing… she looked like she didn't… but she didn't react to much… He hasn't known her long enough to tell!

But he put it to rest, thought it best not to worry over these things…

Why did it even make him worry?!

He tried his best to not be so anxious about these tiny things that wouldn't bother him before…

He was head over heels… He would do anything to make her smile… and serve till his dying breath to make sure she gets to live the life such a beautiful creature like her deserves to live…

Whatever that kiss meant, he wanted it to be more… he wanted more of it… more of her…

This woman has ruined him…

He wasn't Loki, The God of Mischief, anymore…

He was something… with what he felt… was with a much higher purpose, that he never thought in all his life…

He would get the chance to truly feel it…

To fall this deep… so fast... to fall for her…

A human… a mutant… whatever she was, he didn't care…

In the end, it didn't matter, he still had the same desire…

The desire to do everything in his power to see her live… to see her laugh… to see her feel the love she wants so badly…

He didn't know what to call himself yet… but he knew that what he felt was true…

He loved her…

And he wanted…

He shook the thought, feeling it might be best to move on from that subject till they finally had..

That talk…

He didn't have much energy but with what little he had he tried to heal his wounds. They slowly began to seal as his blood was recirculating back in his body. He stumbled to get up, standing tall as he walked to her.

He placed his hand down her side, he used her to keep himself stable as he walked along her. Her shimmering scales were surprisingly soft and smooth, they looked razor sharp. But she seemed to hide its bladed edges along her skin as he grazed his hand along her. Even now… a rose was protecting him from her thorns.

She looked back to him as he came closer to her shoulder, neck, and started to lower her head to the ground as he made it close enough to touch her cheek. He spoke looking into her beautifully large eyes.

"You truly are a wonder…"

He did something he never thought he'd see himself do for another being, besides Odin.

At least willingly…

For the first time in his life…

As he kneeled beside her, his head held low in respect.

He willingly vowed himself to serve another… with his life…

Which he always held in such high regard… he would have done anything to protect it.

But now… he would throw it away… if it meant she could live for another day….

Then suddenly a loud thud hit the ground causing the ground to shake like the gound could collapse… He looked up to see her eyes were closed and her breathing loud but smooth. She looked like she was asleep…

Her body began to shrink as she retained her natural form. Her scales, horns, fangs and claws all disappear. Her lengthy body slowly turned back to its original small bodice. Her glistening pale skin. Her beautiful slender body. Her long white hair draped over her back as she lay naked on the forest floor.

He felt his face turn hot, he looked away from her trying to keep her decency as he frantically looked around for the jacket she dropped. Once he found it he hobbled as fast as he could to grab it and threw it over her. His gaze fell on the now standing hooded people. The three, now obvious, men in the crew had their jaws dropped. They quickly looked like they weren't looking, under his intimidating gaze. Clearing their throats and shuffling their feet, one even whistled a tune to dull the awkward silence.

The other female had her head still bowed, the one that looked blind just looked ahead of her unfazed by her transformation but seeming concerned in the silence.

"What happened? Is she okay? Her inner voice is silent too."

"I-I don't know."

He looked her up and down to check her. No cuts or wounds to be found. She looked to be soundly in a slumber. Breathing and looking almost peaceful. Covered with lots of blood coming from her mouth and dripping down her chin, but the blood wasn't hers…

"I think she will be fine, must have worn herself out."

The rest of the remaining enemies, turned allies, took off their hoods. The other female looked like a normal young girl with flowers in her long blonde hair, tied into a loose braid. She was pretty shy. She didn't have the will to look him in the eyes.

One man had short hair that looked like flames, it was red at the base that fades into yellow tips. He looked cocky and headstrong.

Another man wore glasses, his appearance was of blue skin, webbed hands, gills on his neck, and fins extending out as his ears. He didn't have hair, just scales and slimy looking skin. He looked nervous as he adjusted his glasses.

Lastly, the man looked almost like a hero type. Tall, blonde, muscles, and stands like he's the most important person in the room… He reminded him of Thor… arrogant and his muscles have more brains than the one between his eyes. But he didn't have a face of confidence. In fact, he still looked scared.

"What do we do now?"

The blind woman called Monica spoke up amongst them.

That was a good question…

How do they continue from here?

He figured it was time to go home… but now he had to invite guests in the house that were originally trying to kill them… because it's what Annaleise wants….

He hoped this wouldn't turn out to be a mistake….

As he picked her up, cradling her once again. Covering her body and turned In the direction that led to the house. At least that's where the horse tracks lead, hopefully the horses can lead him back.

"I guess… we're going home now…"

He tilted his head for them to follow, keeping an eye on them as he walked to make sure they didn't have any tricks. They seemed rather calm and almost excited. Giggling amongst themselves. They must have been good friends in all the chaos they went through. So, they didn't seem like much of a threat anymore.

How they seem more overjoyed than sad and they don't seem to seek vengeance for their fallen comrades. They must have been the outcasts. Because they looked rather relieved than stressed, as they were talking amongst themselves looking to 'Monica' for answers. They respected her the most it seemed.

She could read the room… only she knew the truth behind people's intentions or interests. She must trust these people if she feels so comfortable to smile with them. Faintly not fully, but enough to see she would tell them everything. They didn't look evil…

Annaleise saw it before he could… he would have killed them all… not giving it a second glance… he wondered if he murdered amy that were like them…

He began to feel guilty… which was something he wasn't used to feeling… not until he met her has it come to haunt him daily. But instead of wallowing in pity he chose to grow from it and be better.

Not just for him…

But for her…

Looking down at her in his arms. She lay sleeping with a hushed hum in her exhales; he seemed lost in her own mind. Haunted by her dreams as she slept, her face tensing and relaxing as her turmoil within plagued her.

He brushed his hand on her head, to see her calm under his touch. A small smile graced her lips as a soft sweet hum escaped her. Which sent shivers down his spine and a smile to plaster on his face.

He looked forward, walking on ahead, unable to ignore the pain on his cheeks… He really loved how it hurt… it was well worth it…

He led the way as he tried his best to take them home…

He wasn't too excited about the idea of roommates though…

He was going to miss their alone time… or maybe it's for the best…

He was very conflicted…

But a part of him can't help but feel it wasn't a bad call…
