Aleister looked over the 'Cortex Vortex', it had been heavily modified from its original form, not that he'd complain regarding its smaller size, made it easier to move about. It worked as well... To a degree.
You couldn't just instantly brainwash someone, it took time and while the Cortex Vortex was certainly quicker then his methods before, it still took a while to fully brainwash someone. Add on how it could be influenced by ones sense of self and willpower, powers could make it even harder sometimes...
Essentially, while he had a means to brainwash his many captives quicker, he couldn't just brainwash someone in minutes, so he'd need to capture someone for a couple hours at least.
"Least it works...". He glanced to the side of the room, where a very eager Medea was designing new outfits for the brainwashed captives. At least he didn't have to go buy a bunch of clothing?
- Cortex Vortex.
A large, raygun looking device. It has the ability to brainwash one person or a large group, but it takes a few hours for the brainwashing to take effect and sink in.
Welp the captives are brainwashed with basic obedience, but if you want any greater changes or actual personality, you'll need to brainwash someone personally.
Aleister glanced at the prepared testing area, a single unconscious body of a former Merchant, already modified with a killswitch attached to his heart. On the floor was a large magic circle, while around the former Merchant were dozens of scanning devices.
The master wanted to ensure they could find anything they could on parahumans, whether it was magical, technological, or something else... He wanted to discover it today.
From the talk he'd managed to find online (Although the PRT had denied it was true, his talk with the brainwashed Tattletale had revealed it as true), parahumans were born when someone experienced their worst day, when they wanted to just die. Aleister and Medea had decided to use a mix of dream manipulation and drugs to force an artificial Trigger event.
"Testing in three, two, one...". With the press of a button, the artificial Trigger event began.
The unconscious Merchant instantly woke up, screaming in panic, fear, despair. Aleister was keeping a careful eye of the chemicals in his brain, hoping to perfect the artificial Trigger event without such... Horrifying mental damage.
The Merchant tried getting up, but rope bound his limbs, his screams intensifying painfully. Aleister heard a beep on his computer, that meant... As the Merchant's screams intensified to a unnatural level (Some kind of scream power?), Aleister pressed a button and instantly his experiment fell over, dead. Super screams were not something the master needed, and it was likely the Merchant's mind had been beyond repair anyway with how the artificial Trigger went.
"What did you manage to find, FB?". Aleister asked the almost Digital Human, who quickly replied through the speakers.
"Space-time anomaly's appeared for only a few moments, there was some form of dimensional breach. I have managed to narrow down the at least fifteen different ways to create our own dimensional breach to wherever parahuman abilities come from". FB spoke in an unusually long explanation, but she knew her creator wanted to know as much as possible. "However... It is my suggestion we wait before investigating this dimension. It is highly likely whatever we would find their is extremely powerful and potentially hostile".
"I see... It may be best to wait for Tsumemon to get to Ultimate before entering this... Cape Space. Or at least prepare more. Would Rhongyomniad be able to bring us to the dimension?". The master looked at the calculations and theories the AI was presenting on the computer screen.
"My calculations and spear will be able to bring us to Cape Space any time".
"Good... Very good".
So before people shout at Aleister for killing the newly Triggered Merchant, let me explain his reasoning. The power seeming weak was only one part, the other was the fact this Merchant would be super unstable, they didn't know the full extent of the power nor did they have an area to contain the cape in. The first Artificial Trigger Event wasn't exactly stable, but the next one would be far safer.
Aleister CAN travel to Shardspace now... Not that I recommend it.
Aleister smiled as he saw the increase in people playing FGO, along with the money coming in. People had already loved the characters in Fuyuki, Orleans and Septem, but that was nothing compared to what the next three Singularity's brought in.
His Youtube channel, Type-Moon Projects had tripled in subscribers when he started sending out trailers for the new Servants. And the comments, well they were certainly eager.
I was once lost, but after seeing the glory of Lancer Artoria Alter, I have come to understand Saberface is truly the best timeline... Wait, if she's an Alter, does that mean at some point we're gonna see a regular Lancer Artoria!? TYPE-MOON PLEASE I NEED HER!
Fool! Queen Medb is clearly the only royalty we need!
And the amount of people who want Medb to step on them increases every day, I'm just loving our adorable eggplant! Seriously, Mash is so cute! Her interactions with Drake were great. I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of the gender swapping stuff, but Drake is just to good!... But seriously can we kill Blackbeard? I keep getting him in Gacha.
Mordred is best girl! I thought the Artoria's were good but Mordred is just the perfect tomboy!
All this stuff about best girls, when we gonna speak about the utter chads like Fergus, Cu Alter, and Beowulf?!
ALL OF YOU ARE FOOOOLS! THE ONLY BEST GIRL IS SCATHACH!
Aren't you that guy who's been drawing porn of the FGO girls being raped by Demon God Pillars? When we gonna get Medb, Nightingale, and Scathach?
Aleister quickly closed the comment section, he really didn't need to know what shit people were fantasizing about. He shuddered at the memory of Medea's wrath when she discovered people were making porn based off her...
At the very least, he'd have a better excuse for the absurd amount of money he could throw around.
It happened when Aleister was feeding Tsumemon, the Digimon had frozen mid bit into a meatball sandwich (The little virus really seemed to enjoy eating sandwich's).
"Tsumemon? Are you okay-". Aleister's words were cut off as his partner began to glow, his eyes widening in understanding.
Tsumemon digivolve to...
The Digimon's body grew larger, fully growing arms and a proper head, his single eye becoming two. His lower body become tentacle-like, while two large antenna flowed off its head. The light faded away to reveal.
KERAMON!
The newly evolved Rookie rapidly began to consume the sandwich he was eating, his much larger mouth able to take in the food more easily. Aleister smiled, patting his partner on the head, who leaned into the touch.
A part of the human was confused that even at this point Keramon preferred as little speaking as possible, he knew the Digimon could think on a human level and speak, but ultimately it was his partner's choice how much he spoke.
Bond up.
Keramon: 5.
So just a little bit of advice, at this point Keramon COULD reach Champion, his Bond is high enough, he just lacks the battle experience needed to evolve.
Aleister carefully put in the latest bit of coding, FB was on the verge of transforming from an AI into a Digital Human and... He didn't really know what the end result would be. He knew she'd be more advanced, she'd be able to manifest in the real world, and that was about it.
Finishing the update, he waited with baited breath for what would happen next.
The screen on his computer began glitching, data beginning to emerge from it, taking the form of ones and zeros that floated in the air. Slowly the data merged together, taking on a human form, the basic green appearance taking on brown hues, a skin-like appearance... After a minute, FB was fully manifested in the real world.
Aleister took in his creation, her eyes wide at the sight of him, a blush spreading across her cheeks at the intensity of his stare.
"Your as beautiful as expected FB, how do you feel?". He asked the new Digital Human, who nodded as she took her first steps. "Come, I have much to show you my dear".
The Digital Human eagerly followed her creator out of the bedroom, her eyes taking in everything around her. She'd seen it through camera's before, but seeing with her own eyes felt different. She followed her creator, eager to see more.
...Wait, FUCK HAVE I NOT DONE ANY BOND UPS AT ALL FOR FB!? Fuuuckk why is it always this quest I seem to be messing up with bonds!? Okay just...
Bond up.
FB: 5.
Transferring the Digital World from the old laptop it had been within to the Supercomputer was surprisingly easy, especially with FB's help. It also dealt with a few issues before they could become issues.
The Digital World wasn't a dimension, it was just a bunch of coding, pure data. So until Aleister could figure out a way to make it its own dimension (Or unleash it into an empty Earth, that could work if he could figure out how to make the data manifest in reality), it would be stuck within the confines of data storage.
And of course, if he ran out of storage space, the Digital World could expand no further. But with a Photonic Crystal? He could fit an entire planet's worth of data inside the digital realm now, he wouldn't be running out of space for a long, long time.
He also decided to use some Alchemy to just toughen up the Supercomputer, making its outer layer and most of its inner layers Vibranium. A safety precaution in case he was forced to bring the Supercomputer to a dangerous area.
Item upgraded!
- Super Computer.
A large bulky black laptop, containing the combined processing power of a marble of Photonic Crystal, Digicode, and Aleister's own super genius. It also carries protective magic from Medea, allowing her to track it from anywhere across the planet. Its also been strengthened with Vibranium, making it near impossible to damage.
It also contains the Digital World within it.
"I really am sorry with not visiting, its just been such a mess lately. Some of my co-workers have been...". Aleister trailed off, trying to appear like he was thinking of a polite way to describe his non existent co-workers.
"Its fine son, your a busy man, your mother and I both understand that. Its your sisters you want to worry about!". Finn glanced to his son, who smiled back.
In the background Aleister heard the sounds of his mother talking with Medea and Okita, Emelia having some help cooking from the Caster while the Assassin was just there to talk. While on the main TV Natallie, Aliya and Iris were playing some game together.
"With the chaos lately, I'm just thankful nobody I care about has been hurt. The PRT being useless as ever". The super-villain took careful note of his family's reactions to his words, his mother frowned but her annoyance seemed more directed at his father, his sisters didn't care, and his father...
"Bah! Like those lot have ever been useful. Let me tell you something son, the PRT care more about PR and lining their own pockets! If they actually cared about stopping crime, they'd have dealt with groups like the Merchants and not left it to another villain! And that Wards broken... Did you see the news about it?". Finn asked his son, who shook his head. "Some anonymous agent revealed some real shit, while not revealing identities, they did reveal Shadow Stalker had committed what was essentially both a bio-hazard and murder attempt on a classmate. Vista's parents were near abusive, and of course the fact near half the Wards program was kidnapped... It really is a horrible thing".
"At this point we're more at the mercy of villains... Between Lung, The Pure, and Faust, I don't know who's worst". Aleister would've preferred to make his villainous alter-ego seem righteous, but he wanted to know his family's opinion first.
"Oh come on! Compared to Lung and Purity, Faust is a downright saint! Theres not even any physical proof that Faust kidnapped the Wards, at least nothing the PRT are willing to show besides their word! And he's actually saved a few people, unlike Purity who's still as racist as ever and Lung is... Well Lung!". Aliya had heard enough from her brother and father's conversation, deciding to intrude herself. "I mean, he's actually cleaning out the bay and besides the 'crimes' the PRT try and paint on him, has he ever actually done anything to normal people?".
"True... I'd rather trust the potentially insane criminal compared to the two we know are monsters". Aleister smiled, even if they didn't know it was him, it warmed his heart to hear his sister defend him.
"I'd rather none of em in the city if I'm honest kids, and I'm including the PRT in that as well. I'll stick to my guns and say what I've said since day one, if the police and military were actually allowed to fight parahumans-". Finn was cut off by his wife wandering into the room, a large bowl filled with curry placed on the table, while Medea placed down some rice and bread around the table.
"Not today dear, I'm sure you and Aleister can enjoy your military talk later. For now its time for dinner, Medea helped me so ensure you thank her as well". Emelia smiled as the family and friends quickly sat around the table. "I do hope our guests enjoy my cooking".
"It smells lovely Emelia, I'm starting to see where Aleister got his own cooking skills from". Okita politely replied, grabbing hold of her own plate and quickly placing food on it. Iris wasn't far behind her, the two Saberfaces being the first to dig in.
The rest dug in soon after, casual talk around the table as they ate. Aleister smiled, while he was still a man who wanted the world in his hands, times like this were truly relaxing.
