Chapter 34: Padawan Lost

Turmoil on the Outer Rim!

Located near on major hyperspace lines, the planet felucia is coat in on landing battle between Republic and Separatist forces.

Clone tank divisions make a valint push, deep on the separatist control territory.

Lead by Anakin Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi's Padawan Nadia Aomori.

General Grievous learning on the impending Jedi attack, has dispatched reinforcements to one of his droids outpost, hoping to secure his grip on the system...

The battle droid reinforcements landed on Felucia, unaware that they were already being watched by Jedi Master Plo Koon, Anakin, Ahsoka and Nadia.

"Droid reinforcements have just arrived."Plo Koon declared."If we break into three groups to divide their defence. I'll take the left flank. Skywalker attack the front flank. Ahsoka, you and Nadia scale the background. We'll meet in the middle."

"Okay, scouts find me a way down there."Anakin ordered."Quiet like."

"Going to the front gate won't be easy."Ahsoka stated with a smile.

"That's obviously true."Nadia sneered.

"Hey, you two have a tough for going over that wall."Anakin commented with a smirk.

"You and Master Kenobi taught us."Ahsoka chuckled.

"That's right."Nadia said smugly."And we can handle anything."

Ahsoka and Nadia then walked away from Plo Koon and Anakin.

"Don't get cocky."Anakin reminded.

A while later, Ahsoka and Nadia alongside their Clone Trooper team quietly make their way to prepare to scale the wall.

However, the two girls suddenly paused from walking they sensed something.

"Hold up."Ahsoka ordered."I sense something out there."

"So do I."Nadia said suspiciously.

"Droid?"Comet suggested.

Both Ahsoka and Nadia looked around to where they sensed the strange presence in the area.

But it didn't seem that nothing was out of the ordinary in the forest.

"I don't think so."Ahsoka said."Probably just an animal."

"Come on, we've got scale the base's back wall."Nadia reminded.

Ahsoka and Nadia continued walking forward as Comet glanced at his fellow soldiers.

"Stay alert men, let's move."Comet instructed.

Meanwhile...

Plo Koon, Commander Wolffe and his Clone Trooper squad were getting close to the base.

"Skywalker, Ahsoka, Nadia are you in position?"Plo Koon asked in his comlink.

"Ready and waiting, Master Plo."Anakin replied.

"We're in position."Ahsoka reported.

"Just waiting for the signal."Nadia stated.

In the Forest...

"Artillery open fire."Plo Koon ordered.

The Juggernaut turbo tanks immediately started firing at the enemy base.

From their hiding place, Anakin, Rex and their squad watched battle droids emerge out from the enemy base.

"Steady, steady."Anakin instructed."Wait for my move."

"Copy that."Rex replied.

Alerted by the approach of the Republic AT-TEs and Juggernaut turbo tanks, the droids scramble from the base only to run right into Anakin's ambush.

Anakin used his lightsaber to attack the droids while Rex and the rest of their squad used their blasters.

Master Koon, Commander Wolffe and their squad use jetpacks to penetrate the compound.

Meanwhile...

Ahsoka and Nadia's team prepared to scale the wall with their squad.

"Comet, Sinker, Boost, get up there."Ahsoka ordered.

Comet and the rest of the Clone Troopers made their way up as Ahsoka and Nadia activated their lightsabers to stand guard, if any droids were coming their way.

"We're all clear men, come on up."Comet ordered.

"Go on ahead, Corporal."Nadia insisted.

"We'll be right there."Ahsoka assured.

Just before the two girls can climb up last, Ahsoka got hit by a stun net and shocked into unconsciousness.

"Ahsoka!"Nadia shouted in shock.

Nadia checked on her best friend, only to get hit by a stun net as well and drop on the ground.

The one who ambushed the two Padawans was a male Trandoshan hunter known as Lo-Taren.

Lo-Taren let out a sinister chuckle as he looked at Ahsoka and Nadia, who laid unconsciously on the ground.

"I can't believe my luck."Lo-Taren cackled evilly."Two Jedi younglings."

Lo-Taren then dragged the two unconscious girls away from the wall.

In the Base...

Anakin, Plo Koon and the Clone Troopers took down the battle droids.

"The outpost is secured."Anakin praised as he deactivated his lightsaber."Good job, Corporal. Where's Commander Tano and Commander Aomori?"

"They were covering our flank when we scale the wall."Comet replied.

A wave of worry then grew within Anakin at the thought of Ahsoka and Nadia missing.

"Everybody fend out, I want a perimeter sweep now."Anakin ordered and checked his comlink."Ahsoka, Nadia, stay your location."

Inside the Trandonshan Transporter…

Nadia slowly opened her eyes and gasped in shock when she notice she was in a cage.

The raven haired girl then saw Ahsoka, who was in a different cage that was near her own.

"Soka, are you okay?"Nadia asked in concern.

"I'm fine, Dia."Ahsoka replied and notice other prisoners in cages as they were."Where are we?"

"I don't know."Nadia answered with an unsure look.

Ahsoka and Nadia then notice Lo-Taren holding their comlinks.

"You won't be needing this."Lo-Taren chuckled.

Lo-Taren then broke the comlinks before he walked out of the room.

Ahsoka and Nadia glared at Lo-Taren before they looked at a prisoner named Katt Mol.

"What is this place?"Ahsoka questioned."Who are these pirates?"

"These are Trandoshan."Katt Mol answered."They're going to release and hunt us down for sport."

Outraged looks appeared on Ahsoka and Nadia's faces.

"Hunt us down?"Ahsoka repeated in annoyance.

"Wonderful."Nadia scowled bitterly."Just what we need."

In the cockpit of the Trandoshan Transporter, Lo-Taren walked up to two of his fellow hunters; Garnac and his son, Dar.

"We have found new preys for the hunt."Lo-Taren commented."The younglings will provide great sport."

"Perhaps you're first Jedi kill."Garnac said with an evil smile and held Dar's shoulders."Are you ready, young Dar?"

"They'll die by my claws."Dar bragged with a malicious tone and clenched his fist.

"You're son will outplay all comers."Lo-Taren stated.

Then the Trandoshan Transporter flew away from Felucia and headed to outer space.

In Space..

After flying away from Felucia, the Trandonshan Transporter headed to the moon known as Wasskah.

"We'll take these new bacht to island four."Garnac stated.

Ahsoka, Nadia and their fellow prisoners were brought to atmosphere of Wasskah and deposited on Island 4; the hunting ground located on the moon.

In the Trandonshan Transporter...

"Time to see who is smart enough to join the hunt."Garnac announced sinisterly."Open fire!"

In Wasskah...

Under the initial fire by the deadly Trandonshan Hunters, some of the prisoners were gunned down immediately, but Ahsoka and Nadia managed to hide in the nearby briar forest.

Ahsoka and Nadia then waited under the darkness until the Trandonshan Transporter was gone and out of sight.

Then a human girl and two male aliens (a Cerean and a Twi'lek) wearing Padawan clothing jumped down and appeared behind the duo

"You two need to come with us."Kalifa declared firmly.

"Who are you?"Ahsoka asked.

"We used to be Jedi younglings."Kalifa replied.

The five Padawans made their way in a large tree branch and Nadia notice a brown convor with yellow eyes watching them.

The group came to a fire place that hasn't lost its flame.

"We never stood that chance."Jinx stated."They attacked us on a training machine."

"We were captured and brought here."Kalifa said.

"Why would they take younglings?"Nadia questioned.

"Because Jedi knight are too powerful for them."Jinx answered.

"I'm Kalifa. This is O-Mer and Jinx."Kalifa declared."Who are you two?"

"Ahsoka Tano."Ahsoka replied.

"And I'm Nadia Aomori."Nadia answered."The two of us were captured during the Battle of Felucia."

"We're Padawan Learners."Ahsoka admitted."What's the situation here?"

"You've better sit down."Kalifa insisted.

Ahsoka and Nadia sat down next to Kalifa, O-Mer and Jinx.

"We were taken by those lizards for their amusement."Kalifa explained coldly."Be hunted, killed and mounted on their wall like trophies."

"That's brutal beside repulsive."Nadia scolded.

"We've been stuck here for more rotation that we can count."O-Mer admitted with a sad look."No one has come for us, I doubt anyone is still looking."

"Truth on that Padawans, then rest."Jinx declared as he laid down on a top branch."You will both need your strengths."

Ahsoka and Nadia shared a glance with Kalifa.

In Felucia...

It was now morning and the battle had ended.

Rex, Commander Wolffe and the rest of the Clone Troopers were looking for Ahsoka and Nadia.

"Back in General, we've been over the same area a dozen times."Rex reported holding his helmet."No sign of Commander Tano or Commander Aomori."

"Not good enough Rex."Anakin retorted."Try again."

Rex nodded and walked away as Plo Koon glanced at Anakin.

"We have alerted all forces through the out rim."Plo Koon stated."And intelligence has inside the inference, if they're spotted, we should know about this."

"Good."Anakin said with his eyes shut in order to help him feel the two girls presences.

"Skywalker. Our mission here is finished."Plo Koon informed."We must return to Coruscant."

"I'm not abandoning them."Anakin scowled.

"Your emotions are clouding you're judgement."Plo Koon commented.

"I will not leave their fates up to others."Anakin argued.

"It's time to go."Plo Koon said calmly.

Plo Koon then walked away as Anakin looked down in defeat.

The Jedi Knight knows Obi-Wan was not going to be happy when he tells him that both Ahsoka and Nadia went missing under his supervision.

"Call everybody in, Rex."Anakin ordered quietly in his comlink before going to the Jedi ship."We're leaving."

In Wasskah...

Ahsoka and Nadia were fast asleep until Kalifa woke them up.

"Ahsoka, Nadia, it's time to go."Kalifa declared.

"What's happened?"Nadia asked.

"The sun's almost up, it's mean we're clear out."Kalifa replied.

The two girls then stood up from where they slept and followed Kalifa, who was catching up with Jinx and O-Mer.

"Where do you go?"Ahsoka asked.

"We keep moving and keep those disgusting hunters from picking up our scent."Kalifa retorted.

"That's your plan?"Nadia asked with a hint of disbelief.

"If you two really are Padawans, you'll know there's wisdom in experience."Kalifa complemented in a strict tone."You will learn if you listen and only if you listen."

Nadia then notice the same cute brown convor from yesterday watching them with another.

"At least those convors brings a little comfort."Nadia thought with a hint of amusement.

Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer, Ahsoka and Nadia quietly crept in the forest.

"Get down."Kalifa murmured."Someone's coming."

The five teenagers looked down and saw two prisoners (Katt Mol and Linx) from before.

"Those two came in with us, we should help them."Ahsoka suggested.

"No, it's too late."Kalifa whispered.

Katt Mol was only and immediately got shot by Ratter causing Linx to start running really fast, but got shot as well.

Both Ahsoka and Nadia were shocked and angered of what they have seen as they followed the other three Padawans.

"We could have stop them."Nadia said with a hint of anger.

"No, Nadia, we're not savers here."Kalifa replied."Here we are survivors. If they had spotted us we'll be dead now."

"We never get out of here if we just keep hiding."Ahsoka stated."We have to act."

"There were other Padawans here and that one thought as you do know."Jinx admitted.

"Alright, where are they?"Nadia demanded.

"They're dead!"Kalifa snapped angrily while folding her arms.

"Just because they failed doesn't mean, we will."Ahsoka assured.

O-Mer shook his head.

"You don't understand."O-Mer commented."It's not we don't want to fight. We're younglings, we have every advantages."

Ahsoka and Nadia began to walk away from the trio.

"Get back here!"Kalifa protested.

"We can't do that."Ahsoka assured."My master will never forgive me for running and hiding in a situation like this."

"The same with my master."Nadia added."We can't act like cowards."

"Do not over estimate you're abilities."Kalifa warned.

"We're not."Ahsoka answered.

"The two of us know what we're doing."Nadia remarked with a small smirk."Don't worry about a thing."

"Ahsoka, Nadia, don't!"Kalifa begged.

Kalifa wanted Ahsoka and Nadia to not leave, but the two girls were already out of sight.

Ahsoka and Nadia were walking in the forest, but they then got ambushed by Lo-Taren.

Then Kalifa levitated Lo-Taren with a Force choke and attempted to kill him.

"Kalifa!"Ahsoka protested and rushed up to Kalifa."Don't kill him out of hatred, it's not the Jedi way."

Nadia now felt uncomfortable since she heard someone say this to her in the past.

Nadia and Ahsoka then gave Kalifa comforting smiles.

After recovering from Kalifa's Force choke, Lo-Taren started to signal the other Trandoshan hunters to come to his aid.

However, O-Mer and Jinx used the Force to throw Lo-Taren against a tree, knocking him out.

"The others will be coming."Kalifa warned.

Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer and Ahsoka then walked away as Nadia took Lo-Taren's blaster before going after them.

Later that Night...

Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer, Ahsoka and Nadia went back to their hideout.

"I don't understand."Ahsoka said as she checked Lo-Taren's blaster."Why won't this thing work?"

"The Trandoshan deactivate the blasters if you take them."Jinx exclaimed."That is why none of us have any."

Ahsoka puts the blaster away while covering her head in frustration.

"It's been a long time since the Trandoshan captured other Padawans and brought them here."Kalifa admitted.

"Thanks."Ahsoka mumbled.

"I don't mean that is an insult."Kalifa stated."I mean it as a sign, a mistake on their part."

Nadia raised an eyebrow at Kalifa's respond.

"What are you saying?"Nadia asked.

"Ahsoka, Nadia, you're energies, you're strengths, it's what we've been lacking."Kalifa remarked with a grateful look."We were beginning to lose hope and forgot who we are."

"And who are you?"Ahsoka questioned.

"We are Jedi."Kalifa replied.

Nadia smiled in approval as she and Ahsoka stood up from where they sat.

"If we're going to survive those creeps, we need a strategy."Nadia insisted.

"So, what do you two suggest?"Jinx asked.

"What about a base."Ahsoka suggested."They must have a compound or something, right?"

"Not that we ever seen."Kalifa responded.

"So where do they exactly come from?"Nadia asked.

"Well, we don't know."Kalifa replied."We've only witnessing them hunting on their cover pods."

"If we're going to go to the offensive, we need to find out where they live."Ahsoka explained."We'll start covering ground tomorrow."

Nadia nodded in agreement.

Drawing on their military experience, Ahsoka and Nadia began to formulate a plan to strike at the Trandoshans' base with their new friends.

The Next Morning...

Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer, Ahsoka and Nadia were once again walking in the vicious forest of Wasskah to look for the Trandoshan hunters' base.

"We have already covered the beach area and most of the briar on this side of the bay."Jinx stated.

"If it's was easy to find, you guys will find it before we got here."Ahsoka chuckled.

"True enough."Jinx responded.

"Maybe we should try more of the land in this planet."Nadia suggested.

"That's worth a shot."Kalifa replied.

"Guys, I think we're looking in the wrong place."O-Mer said nervously. "That's their fortress."

The five Padawans then saw the Trandoshan Transporter in the sky.

"Split up!"Kalifa ordered.

The three girls rushed to the left side while O-Mer and Jinx went on the right.

Kalifa, Jinx, O-Mer, Ahsoka and Nadia were being chased by the Trandoshan Hunters, who attempted to shoot them down with their blasters.

Ahsoka, Nadia and Kalifa leaped from branch to branch in order to avoid being hit by the lasers.

Kalifa was shot off a briar branch from Dar causing her to land winded and injured on the ground.

"Kalifa!"Ahsoka and Nadia shouted in unison.

Garnac and Dar surrounded Kalifa.

"Finish her, my son, the kill is yours."Garnac ordered.

"I will kill her, with my own hands."Dar stated.

Then Dar went after Kalifa with his blaster.

Due to be wounded, Kalifa struggled to run away from Dar and eventually grew tired of running.

"Not so impressive, are you?"Dar sneered while pointing his blaster at Kalifa."And you'll have be the honor of being my first Jedi Kill, first of many, I hope."

Then Ahsoka and Nadia leaped off from a tree they stood and went front of Kalifa to protect her from Dar.

Ahsoka engaged Dar in hand-to-hand combat before Nadia used her Force Judgement to make him fall on a stalagmite, killing him.

Ahsoka and Nadia rushed back to Kalifa to check on her before helping her on her feet.

"Careful."Ahsoka instructed.

"It's okay. I can make it."Kalifa assured."Just have a bit of a bruise."

"We need to treat your wound."Ahsoka suggested.

Nadia quickly summoned a branch to block Garnac's blaster attack.

"As soon as we lost that slithering creep that is."Nadia retorted.

"Right."Kalifa said with a small smile.

"You Jedi killed my son! There's no escape!"Garnac shouted angrily."I'll hunt you down!"

Ahsoka, Nadia and Kalifa then ran off to meet up with Jinx and O-Mer.

"I'll kill you!"Garnac roared out in rage."You killed my son! I'll kill you!"

Back at Coruscant…

In the Jedi Temple, Obi-Wan and Anakin were checking a holo-map that showed various planets in the galaxy.

Anakin was losing hope of finding Ahsoka and Nadia while Obi-Wan rubbed his chin in thought to think of the possible location of their missing Padawans.

"Anakin, I sense you're impatient."Obi-Wan stated."It won't help us find Ahsoka and Nadia."

Anakin glanced at his best friend, finding it peculiarly strange that he wasn't showing any worry of finding Ahsoka and Nadia.

"Master, how can you stay calm?"Anakin demanded."Your Padawan is missing as mine is and neither of us have a clue where they are?"

"But Ahsoka and Nadia aren't small children, who don't know how to wield a lightsaber."Obi-Wan declared."If they survived through any missions we brought them in the Clone Wars, they can even survive without us."

Plo Koon walked up to Obi-Wan and Anakin.

"What are Ahsoka and Nadia's strengths?"Plo Koon asked.

"They are fearless."Anakin replied.

"That's true, Anakin."Obi-Wan agreed and chuckled a bit."Though Nadia has more of a mischievous spirit."

"That can also be a weakness."Plo Koon commented."Are they worthy as apprentices?"

"No one before them had their kind of determination."Anakin admitted.

"Except you."Plo Koon replied.

"We'll find them."Anakin vowed.

"This may not be within your power."Plo Koon reminded.

"What ever you're trying to say Master Plo, just say it!"Anakin snapped with a hint of anger.

Obi-Wan frowned. "Anakin."

"I am suggesting, that perhaps, if you and Kenobi have train them well, they can take care of themselves."Plo Koon admitted."And find a way back to you both."

Plo Koon then walked out, leaving Obi-Wan and Anakin by themselves.
