Heeeeeeyyyyyy guys,

I knoooowwww its been such a long time since I last posted and I'm sorry. It just been a crazy last dew months if the new year.

I hope you are all okay and haven't given up on this story. I've actually enjoyed writing this one.

Anyway here is the next chapter. ENJOY!!!

I stepped back and admired my master piece. I had paint everywhere, but it was worth it. I painted grey elephants with hearts and butterflies on the wall where the crib will be built as the wall with the name written across the top in fancy font.

I was in love with it. I think I done a really good job. I take a deep breathe getting my breath back. Being pregnant is never easy moving wise. I was always getting out of breathe these days.

"Oh wow" came a voice from behind me "you done really good pretty girl" Lucas wrapped his arms around my waist from behind and kisses my neck.

"Thank you" I reply placing my free hand onto his "I didn't think you were home"

"I just got home. The Twins are downstairs. We were looking for you"

"I've literally been going crazy on the nursery" he smiled "I finally got it to my liking"

"You've done amazing"

"I appreciate that babe" he kisses my neck again "so how were the twins. Were they good?"

"They are always good. You done a really good job with them Brooke. Ma loves seeing them. They kind of understand I think that she can't play like she used to with them. They sat and watch movies with her and Wynter drew her a picture. Ma was super happy spending the day with them"

Karen was slowly getting weaker. She had requested to spend more time with the twins the past coming weeks. I have been over there helping out when I can, but Lucas wanted me to mostly rest. Did I do that. No. I began painting the nursery. I had to keep my mind occupied at all times.

"I'm glad she is spending so much time with them. They are going to miss her so much" I tried keeping my tears at bay. This was breaking my heart, but I needed to stay strong for the twins, Lily and Lucas because I know when her time comes they will need me the most.

"Mama" I hear Wyatt call. I walk to the bannister and look over to see him standing at the bottom of the stairs "Mama" he smiled up at me. I saw those gorgeous dimples as he smiled. He looked more like Lucas each day with his dirty blond hair and beaming blue eyes. Such a heart breaker, I know for sure.

"Yes baby"

"Mama you here"

"I am baby boy"

He's smile never dropped melting my heart even more "I love you"

"Oh baby mommy loves you too" he nods and giggled running back down the corridor.

"Okay that was the cutest thing" I turn to Lucas

"We make perfect kids" he tells me walking towards me "I'm going to head over to see Nathan. I'm going to take the twins with me if that's cool. I know Haley wants to see them"

"Yeah that's cool. I've got to sort out the baby cloths that we've gotten so far and wash them and stuff so I have a good 1 or 2 hours planned"

"Okay pretty girl. Well we love you and we'll see you soon" he places a kiss to my lips and heads down to the twins.

"Mama" Wynter called out. I look over the bannister and they both look up at me "we going now" she smiles waving at me "love you"

"I love you too baby" I reply "you both be good for uncle Nathan and Auntie Haley"

"We will" they both nodded.

I watched them leave and then headed to do some washing.

"Knock knock" I heard the familiar voice of my blond bestfriend "Brooke are you in?"

I head to the bannister and look over as I fold a two piece set for our baby girl "hey Peyt"

She looked up and smiled her tummy sticking further out "hey Davis" she headed to the stairs and took one at a time as she headed up to me "I wanted to see the nursery and you"

"I could have taken a picture and sent it to you"

She waved that off with a scoff "that isn't the same. Now come and help me to the last step"

I laughed and held my hand out to her which she took and finally made it up the stairs "you are so dramatic Sawyer, try doing that with two babies inside you"

She laughed "fair play. Now let me see the.." her eyes widened and she grasped "oh my god Brooke it's beautiful" she looked around at the pretty elephants on the wall and the books and the plushies I have decorated it with. The guys were building things tomorrow for me so then the nursery will be perfect.

"Thank you" she sided hugged me and kissed the side of my head

"So you're having a girl" I nod placing my hand to my growing belly.

"A very active girl" I point out, Peyton smiling at me "the nursery is done and now I'm just sorting out her clothes"

"I've done all that and finished the nursery. I can't believe we are only weeks apart"

"I know" I agree "they're going to be best of friends. Just like their Moms I know it"

"Of course they are. We are literally always together anyways that's not going to change when I have her"

"I know" I nod "and besides the twins love you and I know this baby will too"

"As will mine you Brookie"

"So how is Karen getting on"

"She is getting weaker by the day, but trying to be brave about it" I reply "Luke stays with her over night just in case anything happens. We don't want Lily to be home alone in case you know"

She nods "that's fair. I'm here for you guys if you need me always"

"I know" and I did know. Peyton has been my rock through so much in our lives and I know this is no different just like when she lost both Moms and her dad at sea.

"Lucas wants me to rest, but I can't because then I over think everything and that's not good. So I finished the nursery and washed her clothing. I think I'm going to sketch designs for my next line this evening when the twins are in bed"

"I get it Brooke. Its hard not to over think" I nod "I'm happy for the life that you've built with Lucas and the twins though. I know how much you've wanted to be a mom and have this life"

"You know I never for a second thought I'd have this life with Lucas. Never did it cross my mind until that night and now he and kids are my everything and I wouldn't change that for anything"

The rest of the time together we spoke about parent life and how exciting and fun and good it was. This was Peyton's first baby, but the way she stepped in for me when Lucas wasn't able too was incredible and I had no doubt in my mind that she will he a really great mom.
