Cloudjumper kidnaps Valka and Hiccup. 15 years later, Hiccup rescue Astrid . The two form a bond and end the dragon raids.

It's not a graphic description beyond mentions of blood, but CW for preterm/premature labor and complications. I did some cursory research into Old Norse childbirth customs to keep it feeling like the world of the movies, but like the world of the movies, it's not 100% historically accurate, nor is it meant to be.

What if Hiccup and Toothless meet earlier? Hiccup knows his daddy loves him, but the kids his age are so mean. So he rather plays alone in the woods. One day he makes a really special friend.
