What if Hiccup left before he met Toothless and met the White Bewilderbeast and saw his mother for the first time? The Bewilderbeast sees potential and Hiccup and gives him some of his blood to claim him as heir. He goes exploring and meets Toothless(has both tail fins) and they become quick friends.
