In the wake of the Clone Wars starting, the United Federation of Planets has withdrawn back to the Milky Way but continues to allow transportation between the two galaxies. Admiral James T. Having asked for political asylum on the Enterprise following the Battle of Naboo, R2 finds himself fighting for his own rights when a demand is made that he be returned to the Naboo government, stating that as a droid he has no rights. What no one knows is that this is more than just a battle of rights, but a plan to gain R2's advanced new form for their own benefit.
