(A little context for you guys this story doesn't follow any particular DC universe or timeline I'm kind of making it up as I go along. But please feel free to give constructive criticism and or ideas you would like to see happen. For right now this chapter is mostly giving background information and setting the scene. I'm sure you know from the tags that this is going to be a Jason Todd x Raven ship he will be making his appearance next chapter)

The teen titans had been disbanded for almost two years now. All of them have gone there separate ways.

Nightwing fighting crime in bloodhaven solo. Turning more and more into the man he always said he didn't want to be. After Kori left to take over rule on her home planet Tameran, he fell into a deep depression that he masked with solitude, pushing away everyone around him.

Kori was the glue of the teen titans. The one that kept them all together. After she left Dick was soon to follow. Making a name for himself and his new persona, no longer robin.

Then it was Cyborg, he's also moved on to bigger and better things, now an irreplaceable member of the Justice League.

After that it was only Garfield and Raven left but by then it was abundantly clear that it was time for each of them to move on and that Teen Titans in Jump city were no more.

Garfield has been living off the grid traveling across Africa, embracing his animalistic side the last anyone's heard. He doesn't check in much anymore.

And that leaves Raven.

Raven is living in Gotham city. After the Teen Titans disbanded she was left on her own. She has no family on earth. Upon her arrival the only people she had ever known besides her fellow titans was the Justice League. She went to them for help with her father Trigon and was swiftly turned away due to her demon heritage and the suggestion of Zatanna Zatara. The only one that had ever been anything other than cold to her was the dark knight himself.

Bruce Wayne had kept tabs on Raven after that meeting. Just as he does any other powerful being, but after finding out her affiliation with his adopted son he found himself intrigued. At first he wasn't fond of the idea of having a half demon inter dimensional being interacting with dick on a regular basis. But his bias was quickly dismissed after witnessing how she contributed to not only the team but helped soften the darkness within Dick after his unhealthy obsession with Slade Willson.

That all lead to Batman offering Raven assistance in forging a civilian identity known as Rachel Roth and finally setting her up a place in day to day society outside of her work as a superhero.

Upon setting up her civilian identity Raven decided to put down her roots in Gotham. She has a simple one bedroom apartment that's filled with all the books and magical artifacts she brought with her from the tower.

She spends her days visiting coffee shops, reading, meditating and occasionally researching/retrieving cursed objects for anyone that can pay. Her nights tho are sometimes spent patrolling Gotham and detaining the occasional low ranking criminals. The bigger ones she leaves to Batman and that's exactly how he likes it. He lets her help out in his city as long as she doesn't interfere with any of his big shot villains.

And so far this new life has been working out fine for her. She misses her titans often. The only ones she has contact with on a few and far between basis is Victor and Dick. Those interactions usually only go as far as helping them with whatever magic related case they're working on. So most of her days are spent in solitude but that's how she prefers it.

She's never had more control of her powers than she does now. Due to constant meditation she's been able to quiet her father's voice that screeches painfully inside her head from behind her chakra gem sat in the middle of her forehead. The quieter she can make her father's voice the less likely she was to loose control again.

The last time she lost control it ended with Dr. light mumbling incoherently and shaking on the ground rocking back in forth. She broke his mind. It still haunted her to this day. Dr. Light was a criminal by any standard but there's some lines you don't cross and leaving someone in a comatose nightmarish state for the rest of their life is one of them.

No one is perfect and Raven had always thought she was about as far from it as you can get but as it turns out there might be a certain ex bat that might be even more imperfect than she is.
