Chapter 32
It sounded like a rollercoaster only it was inside, it was an indoor ride. Andy heard the clattering of cars rolling through the building, climbing up ramps. He heard the lightning sounds and fake bats hissing. There were animatronic monsters that screamed out and then the screams of people in the cars and the hissing of steam all around them.
"Time to play" Chucky quipped.
He tried not to trip over the coaster tracks. It was hard for Andy to see, the sick blue light landed on his face as he saw a cemetary. Andy looked at the cemetery filled with tombstones, some cracked, a few lying on the ground.
"This looks good, park it."
Andy turned and set Chucky down on a fake coffin. Chucky held the pistol up ready to shoot if needed. But then Andy heard a rattling behind him. A white light flashed, the gates to the cemetery opened and a cart full of passengers burst into the scene. The graveyard suddenly came to life. The coffin opened, knocking Chucky off. Andy looked back and a skeleton with glowing green eyes popped out of the box. It laughed like a cartoon witch and Andy fell back onto the tracks. He wasn't scared of the skeleton so much as just surprised by it.
He heard sparks scraping on metal and saw the cart barreling right at him, he quickly moved off the tracks. Good, these people will see me and help, he thought. But the passengers just continued to laugh as the cart went by kicking open a fake broken door and leaving the graveyard. They think I'm just part of the ride. He stood up and ran away.
"Kid!" Chucky climbed back onto the coffin, his eyes searched looking for Andy. He hopped off the tombstone.
Andy stayed close to the wall, remaining out of sight, but then a gate opened right next to him and an animatronic Dracula pushed its way out, laughing and flailing its arms to give the new group of passengers a spook. Andy saw the mechanism, it would pull him back and hide it behind the gate. If I get in there I can run behind it and get out of here. The Dracula stopped laughing and Andy ran over to it, hugging it. The mechanical wires pulled it back into place behind the gates. Andy was safe, behind a closed gate. He hid himself behind the animatronic and saw a maintenance foot behind him. Perfect!
Tyler and Kristen looked around, they saw tombstones and fake wet grass. Lots of grey, green and black all over the place.
Tyler and Kristen looked around, they saw tombstones and fake wet grass. Lots of grey, green and black all over the place. Kristen kept close to Tyler.
Tyler shook his head, where is he!? He made his voice loud and clear. "Andy!"
Andy looked through the gate, he saw Tyler and Kristen looking for him. They came to save me! Tyler, he came to see me. He heard the roaring clickity clack of another cart go by and Andy knew the gate would fly open, "Tyler! Tyler, I'm in here!" He yelled.
Tyler heard his voice and he took Kristen's hand and pulled her in the direction it came from. "Hold on, we're coming." She said, the gate opened pushing the Dracula out again and Andy hid behind it.
"He's got a gun!" Andy warned before turning and running out of the maintenance door.
A gun!? Shit! Tyler looked over at the gravestones and saw Chucky pop out from behind one. The doll held a small compact pistol and fired two rounds at Tyler. Tyler ducked and fell back behind the stone before Chucky could land a shot on him. Dammit! Kristen pulled out the guard's pistol and cocked it. She shot once and the bullet rickashayed off of the stone below Chucky.
"Shit!" Chucky yelled and pulled his trigger once more. Kristen screamed as she felt the bullet penetrate her leg and she fell to the floor. Chucky laughed as he disappeared out of the graveyard and after Andy.
Tyler waited a few seconds before risking a look. Chucky was gone but Kristen was hurt. Tyler crawled on his hands and knees over to her. She was crying and she looked at the wound on her leg leaking out blood. Tyler ripped off the burned bottom of his right sweatshirt sleeve and wrapped it around her wound. It's better than nothing, he thought. She handed him the gun,
"Go, hurry!" Tyler looked her in the eyes as if asking her to be certain. Kristen sniffed the air quickly. "You can do it."
"I can't just leave you here!" He said. Kristen stifled a pained moan.
"I'll be fine, just go get Andy!" He hesitated for a moment then he took the gun and ran past the tombstones. To the next room.
