So finally we get to the part of the story I've been planning for a long time, the homage to Cinderella, while a few changes have been made to what I originally had planned it's still very similar to my original idea.

So Chanchalla was dropped off my carriage a safe distance away from the palace, and went the rest of the way by foot, she was wearing a stolen red Caste braid so everyone would take her for Sunborn and since she was originally Sunborn she could easily pass.

As she approached the Isvar's palace she said mildly "I have come to pay my respects to the Isvar's Nephew and his new bride…"

And the Guards were so taken by what they assumed was clearly a well bred Noblewoman...Her Nilami Accent suggesting she had traveled from afar to pay her respects, they let her pass at once!

Now on Dardunah Sheep are a very...Middle of the road species, they can appear in any caste, not tending to be in the upper castes like big cats and cobras nor towards the middle and lower castes like the much more meek creatures like rabbits...Chanchalla was not expecting when she gathered in what most Westerners would call the 'ballroom' for everyone to turn around and be amazed by the Ewe who none of them had ever seen before, Chanchalla always thought of herself as a plain, unassuming creature but tonight the way she carried herself some might be mistaken to think she was the Mythical Sar'Ambhánu is some of the more devout regions of Dardunah there is a cult known as 'The Keepers of the Veil' who believe that Krilarah may one day return in the body of a young girl as she did during the Twilight Wars, this cult believes she may incarnate in any Janah Girl that is not Sarpah or Klin so a Sheep would be perfectly acceptable…

Upon noticing the sudden commotion, the Isvar Kelentos sitting on his throne and noticing the enchanting Ewe who had never seen or heard of before ordered her to come to him.

Trying her hardest to keep her cool, Chanchalla gracefully walked over to where the Isavar and his family wee seated and bowed deeply.

"I have come to pay my respects…" Chanchalla said

"I have never seen or heard of you before…" The Silver Furred Wolf Isvar said "...Tell me, who are you and what do you do?"

No one not even Chanchalla had any idea that at another part of the palace, Piangh utilizing her burgling skills she hadn't done for years, was scaling a wall to get into the palace's library, all the while the Black Cat Janah was worried about her daughter knowing guile was not one of her skills and hoping she would be OK…

At that moment not prepared for this, she thought she would just mingle with the party quests while being on the lookout for any sign of the Devourer...But with no answer for who she was and what she was doing here, Chanchalla thought she was about to choke when suddenly her ears perked up to more gasps! Someone else had arrived!

She turned her head and the crowd parted for a Red eared slider Janah! He was wearing blue jacket and pantaloons with his red caste braid although his feet were bare, but when she saw the familiar blue mask over his eyes, Chanchalla's heart leapt into her throat.

She asked the Terrapin with her eyes if it was really him, and the way the Turtle smiled and blinked his eyes, she realized he couldn't speak because he didn't speak any Janah languages despite his new disguise...And Chanchalla smiled as an idea quickly came to her!

"Now that my partner has arrived…" She said "...We have come to show a new kind of dance!"

"A new kind of dance?" The Isvar was intrigued

Chanchalla went over to Leonardo and she felt his hands, half expected them to be illusions, but no his new five fingered hands were real with bones and stuff, it wasn't a mere 'costume' his body had tuly been transformed to that of a Janah Turtle.

She said the musicians "Play something slow." She said

This sounded very odd the musicians but they did as they were told.

And so Chanchalla and Leo began to waltz like they had seen on public television programs...Obviously they weren't instantly Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, but Leo's ninja grace doing the leading made sure any hiccups weren't particularly noticeable, whenever he began to feel he was beginning to step on her feet he quickly removed his foot, Chanchalla smiled his brothers frequently teased him saying he had the biggest feet out of all of them.

Then something strange began to happen...She began to hear music that couldn't be what was actually playing...She knew because she could hear the distinct sound of brass instruments and since on Dardunah there is no metal there can be by definition no brass section...But the more she listened she realized she recognized the tune it was the Dance of the Knights from when they watched on public television the ballet version of Earth's famous play Romeo and Juliet…

And then she began to see things as they danced...The rest of the room seemed to turn pitch black and she saw above them colored smoke transforming into ordinary quadruped animals, a lion and fox, she quickly realized she was looking at Kramah and Krilarah in their forms of ordinary zoo animals before they came to Dardunah she was mystified as the smoke animals 'morphed' into their anthropomorphic Janah forms and danced together the same dance she and Leonardo were doing!

Chanchalla knew this must be a sign that they had to be doing something right!

So gonna leave it there, originally there was gonna be much more the visions of Kramah and Krilarah were not part of the original plan, but listening to the Dance of the Knights music realized their image would be very fitting and kind make the scene more trippy and spiritual rather than just mushy and romantic
