The ocean.
As anyone would know, the ocean is a vast and mysterious place filled with both beauty and danger; from the smallest plankton to the largest blue whale. It's estimated that at least 750,000 species of marine life inhabit every corner of our planet, including some creatures science has yet to find.
This story begins above mother sea, in the warm, tropical waters of the Caribbean. A massive wreckage has just taken place with a research ship having sunk due to a combination of an electrical shortage and the greatest hurricane to ever hit the waters.
The ship, formerly known as the SS. Barbera, was scouting out a location for an underwater facility to be known as "Sealab 2022", following the continued theme of it's predecessors. Three-hundred people were on that boat, along with a number of their children, hoping to teach the next generation all about the ocean. There were schools, diving instructors, even a number of marine mammals such as seals and dolphins that were used for research. Unfortunately, said facility would never see the light of day, and neither would many of the crew members.
However, there were two exceptions….
