Rashid's Secret Learned

Achim heard a crash coming from the entrance hall.

"What was that?" Achim asked out of shock.

"I don't know!" Akilah exclaimed.

"Oh, my gosh," Layla realized. "that was Rashid!"

Layla and Akilah raced out of Queen Hildegard and King Derek's throne room with Achim trailing along behind them.

The two princesses and Achim raced into the Freezenburg castle's entrance hall to see Rashid transforming into Hideaki.

"What in the world is going on here?" Achim asked the girls.

Rashid finished his transformation.

Hideaki opened his eyes, then, he picked himself up off the entrance floor.

"Vor," Hideaki shouted. "your fight is with me!"

"Well, Hideaki," Vor mocked. "if that's what you truly want."

"It is." Hideaki confirmed.

"Then, bring it, fool!" Vor spat as the two started to fight.

While the battle was going on around them, Achim turned back to Akilah and Layla, "What in the world is going on here?" he asked the girls again.

"Hideaki is fighting Vor." Akilah explained.

"Hideaki? Vor?" Achim asked, puzzled.

"Hideaki Reed is a spirit that inhabits Rashid's body." Akilah answered.

"And Vor is an evil spirit from the past." Layla added.

"I see." Achim said.

Vor could see that Hideaki was looking more than a little tired.

"You tired, Hideaki?" Vor asked.

"Tired? Me? I do not even know the meaning of the word!" Hideaki spat at Vor.

"What Vor said just now," said Akilah. "about Hideaki getting tired, did you notice that?"

"Yeah, so what?" Layla asked, not taking her eyes off the fight.

"Is there a way to drain a spirit's power?" Akilah asked, trying to get her sister to pay attention to what she was saying.

"I don't know," Layla said. "why do you ask?"

"Vor, doesn't seem the type that would be making a head on attack like this without some sort of edge." Akilah said.

"I get it!" Layla said, finally catching on

"Well could you explain it to me, then?" Achim asked, still lost.

"Vor may have found some way to drain Hideaki's power," Laylae explained. "that's why she's not afraid to take on Hideaki straight on and why Hideaki looks tired!"

"How do we know for certain?" Achim asked Layla.

"I think I know where we could find out!" Layla said.

Suddenly, Akilah could see Hideaki reverting back to Rashid.

Vor too was starting to lose her powers, and she too reverted back to her own borrowed form, the same little girl who started giving Rashid grief when the royal family of Tangu first arrived at the Freezenburg palace.

"Rashid! Oh my goodness!" Akilah exclaimed.

"Quick! Rashid needs to rest," Achim said. "we had better take him into my aunt and uncle's throne room."

"Wait! There's a young girl over here passed out like Rashid," Akilah called out. "just where are her mother and father?"

Achim looked at the girl on the floor.

"I know that girl! That's Naomi Collins," Achim exclaimed. "her father is Aunt Hilde and Uncle Derek's new royal sorcerer!"

"We need to bring Naomi in too." Layla observed.

Akilah, Achim, and Layla carefully carried Rashid and Naomi into the throne room of King Derek and Queen Hildegard's castle.
