Here we are folks, with another chapter.

Also to everyone who has been asking and or begging me to continue Loud Gravity. I will, once I finish the rest of the rewrites.

Believe me, I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you, not in a kitchen, but at a desk writing. (Whoever gets that reference, get yourself a cookie. If not, then I recommend looking up Republican rebuttal to State of the Union. And also State of the Union Cold Open for Saturday Night Live.)

Other than that, I hope you all enjoy, and all rights go to their original owners.

No Guts, No Glori

Lincoln was sitting in his room, drinking a glass of lemonade with the help of a crazy straw.

He then looked at the readers and said," Ah, Friday night. You survived another week of school. now it's time to kick back, forget your troubles, and crack open a brand new video game." He then brought out his name game and smelled it. "Love that new game smell."

He then raised a brow, due to picking up another scent.

"Hey Dipper, do you smell that?"

Dipper, who was sitting on his bed, reading a mystery novel, sniffed as well. For a moment, he wondered why it smelled familiar. But his eyes then widened when he realized what it was.

"Oh boy, Linc… when it's Friday, y'know what mom and dad do."

Lincoln thought about it and his eyes widened as well and he had a worried look," You don't mean." He then checked the calendar and dread turned to fear.

"Mom's expensive perfume, it's a Friday night, which means…"

"Date night." Both brothers said in horror.

And with date night, comes the next dreaded thing the Loud kids, with the exception of one, feared.

"Lori's in charge! Do as she says! Bye!" Rita called from downstairs, and then left with her husband for their date."

No sooner did Rita say that and leave, Lori got right down to business.

"NO MUSIC!" She said as she unplugged Luna's amplifier.

"NO MUD PIES!" She said a she threw Lana's mud pies into the trash.

Mabel, was sitting in her bed, she was about to eat a piece of candy from a bag she was eating. But Lori also took that.

"NO EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF SUGAR!" She said as she tossed that away as well.

Leni was talking on the phone, oblivious to what was going on. "No way! That's totes cray cray!"

She then hung up Leni's call while saying," No phone calls." She then barged into Lincoln and Dipper's room and took their video game and mystery novel, respectively.

"AND NO VIDEO GAME AND MYSTEYR NOVELS!"

A few minutes later, Lori was downstairs, dressed a type of military uniform, she even held a golf club like a riding crop. She then blew her whistle, and her siblings, including the pets, all lined up single file. The most noticeable thing was that all the siblings, sans Lori, were lined up by age, with Leni at the far left and Lily was at the far right.

"At ease!" She then barked, which made everyone relax, but not for long. "JUST KIDDING! NOBODY IS TO BE AT EASE MY PRESENCE!" This caused everyone to go back to their original stance. "As you know, Mom and Dad left me in charge. That means you have to do as I say, whether you're tall, short, or covered in fur and can only understand the word 'sit'!"

Lori then brought out a chalkboard that had a list of tonight's schedule. "Now, here is our schedule for this evening. 6:00 to 7:00: Sitting on bed with arms folded. 7:00 to 7:30: Chow. 7:30 to 8:00: Thorough cleaning of the mess hall. 8:00: Staring at wall until falling asleep. Everyone got that?"

"MA'AM, YES, MA'AM/SIR, YES, SIR!" The last saying was said by Lana. Lori glared at her, which made Lana cover her mouth, realizing her mistake.

Luckily, Lori didn't berate her, but only said," DISMISSED!"

Everyone then rushed back upstairs, with the exception of Geo. Due to him being in his hamster ball , and he ended up hopping up each step.

Lincoln walked into his and Dipper's room with a scowl on his face. He then sat his bed, arms crossed.

"Seriously, she gets a sick power trip out of bossing us around when she's in charge." Lincoln grumbled.

"Only for those who don't get the full picture, Linc." Dipper said from his bed.

Lincoln got up to his brother's bed, and gave him a confused look. "What do you mean?"

Dipper took out his notepad, looked at his notes and said," After witnessing Lori being charge when mom and dad go out so many times. I compiled data. Think about it, Lori is the oldest of our siblings. So that means she has responsibilities given to her by mom and dad. One of these responsibilities is to watch out and lead us in the right direction when they're not around. With say one or two siblings, it won't be as chaotic. But with all 12 of us, it's a combination or formula waiting to explode." He then showed Lincoln some of his notes.

"Believe me, I asked our sisters, starting from Leni, all the way to Lynn. Apparently Lori was a lot less strict. But that changed over the years, with the variables being, all of us. I mean, we live up to our last name after all. One could only imagine what would happen if we're left unchecked when mom and dad aren't around. So Lori being bossy is unfair in the short run. But in the long run, she's keeping things orderly and not pandemonium. So go easy on her Linc. She has enough on her plate and I'm sure she doesn't enjoy one moment of this."

Lincoln thought about what his brother said. And he couldn't help but admit that he was right. Lori was the oldest, and she had to bare some of the weight mom and dad had with watching over them all. And that was a huge weight that one couldn't handle if they didn't apply some backbone. And had to have plenty of that, plus authority with a family like theirs.

And he thought Lori got a huge kick out of it, and went on a power trip when she was in charge. But like the saying went, 'there was a method to ones madness'.

"Huh, I never thought of it that way. Once again, Luke, you prove why you're the third smartest family member."

Dipper looked proud for a moment, then realized what Lincoln said," W-wait… third smartest? I know Lisa is first, I can accept that. But who's the second?"

Lincoln's response was to smugly point to himself, and Dipper gave his brother a flat look.

In Lori's room, she was reading one of her magazines, while Leni was knitting something. The both of them then heard a knock at the door. And Lincoln stuck his head in.

Lori narrowed her eyes and said," Lincoln, I literally told you all to stay in your rooms unless I said otherwise."

Lincoln didn't looked afraid and said," Actually Lori, there's something I need to ask you. It's something important and it's between us."

Lori raised a brow, but sighed and looked at Leni and said," Give us a minute, Leni."

Leni got out off of her bed and walked to the door, while also giving Lincoln a concerned look. She then walked out and closed the door.

"What is it, Lincoln?" Lori asked with crossed arms and a raised brow.

Lincoln smiled a little and said," Thanks for looking out for us, when mom and dad aren't around. And for also keeping this house in once piece. With a family this big, you have to be strict and lay down the law. I hope we aren't a burden to you."

Lori looked shocked, got off of her bed and hugged her brother. She then looked at him and said," Lincoln, I don't think you or any of our siblings are a burden to me. Yes, you all get on my nerves sometimes, but I would never think that. You got that? What made you think that?"

Lincoln looked guilty and said," I sorta vented my frustrations to Dipper. I thought you took joy and loved the power trip you go on, when your in charge. He explained, in detail on why you get bossy when mom and dad put you in charge."

Lori nodded and said," That's why he's the second smartest person in the family. First being Lisa, the third being you." She said the last part in a teasing manner and Lincoln chuckled a little. Due the parallel of what he said to his brother.

"But, thank you for the compliment and no, I take no satisfaction in being bossy like that. It's either being that or allow the house to become rubble. You may or may not realize it when your the oldest in the house. But, if this is how you and the others feel. Then, I guess I'll try to tone it down a bit. How about after dinner, I'll let you guys hang out and relax. Okay?"

Lincoln nodded and said," Okay. Thanks for listening Lori."

Lori ruffled her brothers hair and said," No problem, Linky. Go ahead and read some of those comics of yours. And tell Lukey he can also read his novels."

Lincoln nodded, the siblings hugged one more time, with Lori ruffing her brothers hair.

Lincoln then walked back to his room, feeling like he understood his eldest sister a bit better.

And it was thanks to the insight from Dipper.

And that's why I wanted to do this episode first, before doing Driving Miss Hazy. Who else enjoys a little sibling interaction?

With what I will work on next. Might work on the next episode, might go back to the rewrites, or work on something else. Who knows.

Hope you all enjoyed. Till next time.
