Caroline's POV
After two hours, Elijah was at home, and we were having dinner. I thought it was time to give him the news, but I didn't know how to start. At the same time, Katherine thought it was nice to start that conversation...
"Babe ,Care wants to tell you something"
"What?"
"Um I've decided to come to New Orleans."
"Oh wow, Caroline, that's great! We should celebrate the news!" He smiles and brings a bottle of white wine.
"If you are coming to New Orleans, I'll talk to the dean of Tulane University. I will ask him to give me a list of what you need from here. Is that okay with you?"
"Yes. Thank you so much, Elijah ."

So finally the day has come where I leave my past behind because today I'm moving to New Orleans. I'm moving away from my past and I finally can be happy. I just put my last suitcase in the truck and I go back into the apartment to get my bag and to talk to Kat.
"I think we will be there when you arrive. I gave you the address, right?"
"Yes."
"Good. See you in Nola babe ." She winks at me.
"Yea, See you later."
I started my car for my new destination . Goodbye My past life , Hello My future life. I'm finally ready for this ride !

After four hours of driving, I finally arrived at Elijah's house. It's a massive house. For God's sake, it's a freaking mansion. I saw his car, so they must be here. I left my stuff in my car. I'll bring them later. I knocked at the door, and after a few seconds, Katherine opened the door.
"Caroline, you're here! Come in!" She smiles and I enter the house. The living room is enormous, and the furniture colors are combined amazingly. If just the living room looks like this, what about the other rooms?
"This house is amazing."
"Let me give you a tour of the house and then we will go to your room. Ok?"
"Yea sure." We went to the kitchen and I was speechless. This is my dream kitchen. It has everything in it. And there is a fridge full of wine. I already love this house. She shows me the rooms on the first floor: a movie room with a big TV and armchairs, the dinning room with a big table and a bathroom with a shower. We go to the next level. There are three bedrooms with bathrooms.
"And this is your bedroom." We enter a room, and I immediately fell in love with this room.
"Seriously! This is my room.?"
"Yes. I hope you like the colors."
"Oh my god Katherine. It's perfect! Thank you" I hug her. I love her so much. I have no idea what I would do without her.
"I don't know what I would've done without you. You and Elijah are my heroes."

"I bet you're hungry after four hours of driving."
"Damn yeah."
"C'mon let's order something. I know a good restaurant. Want something special?"
"No. You can order whatever you want."
"Good."
"Uhm..where is Elijah btw?"
"Oh, he have to leave as soon as we got here,the opening of the publishing is on Monday, so he has to solve the last details."
"Oh, I understand."

"Mmm, This food is soo good."
"I know. It's my favorite restaurant. It's good because we have this restaurant near the publishing house. We will take our lunches there."
"Great! I can't wait to see where the new publishing is."
"If you want, we can go there tomorrow. In this time, you can memorize the route."
"Yeah. That's a good idea."
"Good! We have planned half of the day. What do you want to do after? Maybe shopping?"
"Sounds great!" I smile. After we ate, she helped me with my suitcases. I decided to arrange my closet tomorrow, because right now I'm tired. After taking a very relaxing bath, I braid my hair, change into my pyjamas, and I go downstairs where I find Kat watching Netflix with a glass of wine in her hand.
"Wanna watch some Netflix and drink some wine?"
"Hell, yes." I sat next to her and poured some wine into a glass.
"Elijah isn't home yet?"
"Nope. I think I'll sleep when he comes home. I know he is a busy man, but I love him."
"Everything will be okay after the opening."
"I know. He promised me that we would go on a holiday trip."
"Nice. You are so lucky to have him..." I started wondering if I would ever find someone in my life !?
"You will find someone too Care .You will find happiness sooner than you think."

It's already 2 a.m. Elijah came home two hours ago. He and Katherine went to their room. I was alone in the room watching some chick flicks on Netflix when I decided it was time for bed. I went to the kitchen to wash the glasses and took a bottle of water from the fridge. I was going to my room for my much-needed sleep when suddenly I saw someone in the living room. Fuck!
"Ah!" I scream!
"It's a thief in the house!"
"Shhh!" He comes to me and covers my mouth.
"Don't scream! You will wake up the entire house! I will remove my hand from your mouth, but don't scream again. Ok?" I nod.
Who's this guy? He takes off his hand from my mouth.
"Who are you?"
"I should ask you the same question."
"I'm not playing this game with a stranger. So tell me who are you before I call Elijah ."
"Bloody hell woman,this is my house. What are you doing here ?"
"I live here too. And what do you mean,How is this your house? Elijah is the owner."
"I'm his Brother love and you? What's your good reason for being here? Are you having affair with my brother ? Huh ,so he finally got bored with his Katerina and found you?" He smirks and at this point I know I don't like this guy.
"No,I am his employee."
"What's your name love?"
"It's none of your business, and stop calling me love you jerk." I smile and I go upstairs.
What a dick! God i hate him already. Stupid british guy with sexy accent and adorable dimple ...ugh ! What the hell Care ,stop it !

The next day I woke up, make my routine, change my clothes and I go downstairs where I find Elijah, Katherine and that british guy I met last night. If this guy is Elijah's brother then how come Elijah doesn't have an accent?
"Good morning!"
"Good morning Caroline ,Meet my little brother Niklaus."
"Nice to meet you, Niklaus ." I smile and I give him my hand, but he doesn't take it he just stares at me, Great! Definitely A Dick !
"Um pls call me Klaus, So Elijah, I was wondering if you can give me some money..."
"No. From now onwards I won't give you money ."
"What? You are kidding, right?" He laughs.
"Does it look like I'm kidding, Nik?"
"What did i do?"
"You always come here to ask me for money. So, if you want money, you have to work."
"No way!"
"I'm sorry Niklaus, it's time for you to get a job. But I will make your work easier and I will hire you in my publishing house. What do you think about this?"
"But Eli..."
"If you want money come with me. We have something to do. Let's go, it's already late."
"Ok, fine! I'm coming." He leaves with Elijah.
"I didn't know that Elijah had a brother."
"Well, He's Elijah's half brother. He lived in London until college. "
"Oh..."
"Wanna eat something before we go?"
"No. I just need my coffee and I'm good."
"Ok. I'll make some coffee to go then."
"Perfect."
After she made the coffee we went to Kat's car and we drove to the publishing house. The location where the building is , is perfect. It's a building with two levels. At the first level is a conference room, Elijah's office, the reception and a little kitchen with a coffee maker and a microwave.
"We have to add more decoration in this kitchen. I want to make a corner coffee here. I want to buy coffee syrups, cream, you know, a little café in our kitchen. What do you think about this?"
"Sounds great!"
"Perfect! Let's go upstairs, I want to show your office."
She takes my hand and she drags me on the stairs to the second level.
"Ok, this is the floor with your office." We enter in a beautiful office. Oh, God, is this mine?
"This my office?"
"Yes, it is. Please, tell me you like it..."
"Like it? Kat! I love it!"
"I'm glad you like it. I thought you won't like the way the furniture and the colors and..." I interrupt her.
"It's perfect. You know me very well, Kat."
"I'm sorry for the empty bookshelf, but the car with our office things from Mystic falls is not coming until Monday."
"It's ok, don't worry." She shows me the other rooms and after this I go to the mall for shopping. I bought three new outfits for work and two sets of lingerie. I bought them at Kat's insistence. I'm not going to go out with guys too soon after my breakup with Tyler . I am single for a month and to be honest, it's good to be single. Of course I want to find someone, but not now. Now it's time for hard work.
