Chapter 1 - The Son of The Moon
The battle had been fierce, the stakes immeasurable. Naruto, fuelled by the desire to protect his friends and the entire shinobi world, faced the formidable Kaguya Otsutsuki. After a relentless struggle, Naruto finally managed to defeat the powerful adversary.
Exhausted but triumphant, Naruto turned his attention to Sasuke, the long-standing rivalry between them still unresolved. The final clash was inevitable, and the two warriors found themselves once again in the iconic Final Valley.
The air crackled with tension as they exchanged blows, each strike carrying the weight of their shared history. The valley echoed with the clash of their powers, a dance of light and shadow. It was a battle that transcended physical prowess; it delved into the very core of their beings.
In a moment of profound vulnerability, Sasuke unleashed a devastating blow that caught Naruto off guard. The fatal strike left Naruto gasping for breath, his strength waning. Sasuke stood over him, a conflicted expression on his face.
Sasuke stood over the fallen Naruto, his Sharingan eyes reflecting a tumult of emotions. The wind whispered through the Final Valley, carrying an air of finality. Naruto gasped for breath, his strength waning as life ebbed away.
Sasuke, conflicted but resolute, knelt beside Naruto. His voice, normally cold and stoic, now carried a weight of regret and understanding.
"You were always too soft, Naruto," Sasuke said, his eyes meeting Naruto's fading gaze. "But maybe that's what the world needed. A soft-hearted fool like you to believe in something greater."
Naruto managed a weak smile, blood staining his lips. "Sasuke... we could've been friends."
Sasuke's expression softened for a fleeting moment, a hint of regret in his eyes. "Maybe... in another life."
As Naruto's breathing grew shallower, Sasuke continued, "I won't forget you, Naruto. Your strength, your foolishness, all of it. It's etched in my memory."
With those parting words, Sasuke rose, leaving Naruto in the silent embrace of the Final Valley. The wind carried away Sasuke's figure as Naruto's world faded into darkness, the echoes of their shared history lingering in the air.
As Naruto felt the life slipping away from him, he found himself transported into a surreal mindscape. Before him stood the ethereal figure of Hagoromo, the Sage of Six Paths.
"Hagoromo?" Naruto questioned, his voice echoing in the vast space.
Hagoromo, a serene presence, acknowledged Naruto with a nod. "Naruto Uzumaki, your journey is not over. Your soul is different from the others."
Confusion etched Naruto's face as Hagoromo continued, "Your mother was born from the essence of a goddess from another dimension. In your final moments, she intervened to save your life, transporting your soul to her realm."
As Hagoromo spoke, memories flooded Naruto's mind. Images of a divine figure, a motherly presence, filled his consciousness. He felt a profound connection to this mysterious goddess.
"You now find yourself in a different world, one of gods and mythical beings, and you, Naruto, are the son of Goddess."
"Wait, before I leave, would Kurama stay with me?" Naruto asked with pleading eyes. Hagoromo smiled, recognizing the bond that had formed between the young ninja and the mighty Tailed Beast.
"Consider it a parting gift for defeating my mother. Goodbye, Naruto Uzumaki," Hagoromo spoke with a sense of approval, acknowledging Naruto's strength and resilience. As he uttered those words, the vast expanse of the mindscape seemed to shift, and Naruto found himself standing in a moonlit forest.
The soft glow of the moon above cast an ethereal light upon the surroundings. Naruto looked around, feeling a sense of tranquility in the moonlit forest.
Naruto grinned, expressing gratitude to both Hagoromo and Kurama. 'Thanks, Hagoromo! And Kurama, you're sticking with me, huh?'
Kurama, in his usual gruff manner, replied, 'Don't get all sentimental, brat. Just make sure you keep improving, or I'll have to take over.'
As Naruto stood in the moonlit forest, Kurama, the Nine-Tails, addressed him with a mixture of seriousness and gruff concern.
'Listen up, Naruto. I won't be awake for quite some time. My chakra's regen process is as slow as they come in this world, so don't be thinking you can go around picking fights with gods or anything," Kurama warned, his eyes narrowing as if to emphasize the point.
Naruto chuckled, understanding the gravity of Kurama's words. 'Got it, Kurama. No picking fights with gods. We'll take it easy for now. You rest up, and we'll tackle whatever comes our way together.'
Kurama huffed, a semblance of approval in his tone. 'Don't get too soft on me, brat. I'll be watching, even if I'm napping.'
Beneath his feet, the forest floor crunched with each cautious step Naruto took. The ambient glow of the moon, eerily reminiscent of his past sanctuary, filtered through the dense canopy above, casting an ethereal glow on the twisted branches. He was alone, surrounded by an uncharted wilderness that seemed to pulse with both life and enigma.
As Naruto ventured deeper into the dark forest, guided by the soft glow of the moon, the enigmatic atmosphere became charged with an anticipation of challenges. The whispers of the shadows grew more pronounced as he approached a clearing, revealing a surreal landscape bathed in moonlight. In the heart of the clearing, Naruto encountered a group of Myrmekes gigantic ant like creatures with razor-sharp pincers and venomous stingers.
Naruto's senses heightened as the Myrmekes detected his presence. Antennae twitching, the creatures moved with uncanny coordination, converging on him. The clearing became a battleground, the moonlight casting elongated shadows of the skirmish.
However, Naruto soon realized that these Myrmekes had an additional threat, their venomous stingers. During the battle, one of the creatures managed to strike him, injecting a potent venom into his system.
Expecting the debilitating effects of poison, Naruto braced himself, only to be surprised when the symptoms failed to manifest. Naruto's eyes widened as the realization struck him he couldn't be poisoned. The moonlit connection within him seemed to grant immunity to the Myrmekes' venom.
Empowered by this newfound resilience, Naruto pressed on, countering the creatures with a combination of shadow clones and agility. The forest echoed with the clash of chitin and kunai, the moon bearing witness to Naruto's struggle.
As the last Myrmeke fell, Naruto took a moment to catch his breath. The moonlight bathed him in an ethereal glow as he contemplated the mysteries of this unfamiliar world. The forest lay still, the only sound the rustling of leaves in the gentle night the moon still high in the night sky, Naruto moved deeper into the forest
The forest, once echoing with the sounds of battle, now embraced Naruto in a calm serenity. The Myrmekes lay defeated, their gigantic forms still amidst the moonlit glade. Naruto took a moment to catch his breath, his senses heightened by the moon's glow.
Guided by the moon's wisdom, Naruto pressed on with renewed determination. The whispers of the shadows became a symphony of encouragement, guiding him toward the next phase of his journey. As he traversed the forest, Naruto encountered various more creatures and challenges.
As the night waned and the moon began its descent, Naruto approached the edge of the forest. The clearing revealed a celestial spectacle a vast expanse of stars reflected in a tranquil lake. At the centre of the clearing, a mysterious figure awaited.
Naruto's heart quickened as he stepped into the clearing, the moonlight bathing the scene in an ethereal glow. The figure turned to face him, and in that moment, the whispers of the shadows seemed to converge into a single guiding force.
As Naruto stepped into the moonlit clearing, the celestial figure turned to face him. Artemis, the goddess of the moon and the hunt, revealed herself in all her radiant glory. Auburn hair cascaded around her shoulders, and her eyes, pools of wisdom, softened at the sight of Naruto.
"Naruto," she whispered, her voice carrying the tender weight of maternal longing. "My child, you have found your way back to me."
Naruto's eyes brimmed with unspoken emotions as Artemis opened her arms. The celestial energy enveloped them, forming an embrace that transcended mortal and divine boundaries. Artemis spoke with a mother's warmth, revealing the origins of their profound connection.
"Naruto, my child, I carry an oath, a sacred commitment that shapes my existence. As the goddess of the moon and the hunt, I have sworn to remain ever chaste. My dedication to this oath is unwavering, and it stems from a promise made to my father, Zeus, and the very essence of my divine responsibilities."
Her eyes, filled with ancient wisdom, met Naruto's gaze. "This oath means that I, as the eternal maiden, refrain from romantic entanglements and the bonds of matrimony. It is a sacrifice made for the preservation of my divine role and the harmony of the cosmos."
Artemis paused, the moonlight casting a soft glow upon her ethereal form. "But, my child, your existence transcends the boundaries of my oath. You are the result of a union that defies the limitations imposed upon me. Born from the moon's essence and a mortal soul, you carry a unique blend of divine and mortal qualities."
She reached out, her touch gentle as she continued, "I share this with you, Naruto, to help you understand the complexity of our connection. You are a celestial being born from a love that surpassed the constraints of my divine commitments. Your existence is a testament to the extraordinary nature of our bond."
Naruto, absorbing the weight of Artemis' words, felt a mix of reverence and understanding. The cosmic tapestry of their connection unfolded before him, revealing the intricacies of his divine lineage and the depth of Artemis' sacrifice for the greater cosmic order.
As Artemis spoke, the moon radiated its glow, bathing them in its ethereal light. Moving closer, she embraced Naruto, her voice softening.
"I saw everything, Naruto. You've had a hard life, and I wish you could forgive me, but the laws of this world stopped me. Unless you were dying, I couldn't bring you back with me," Artemis explained, tears welling up in Naruto's eyes.
Speechless, Naruto struggled to find words. "You're no longer alone, Naruto," Artemis assured, cupping his face in her hands. "The journey you embark upon is one of destiny and revelation. The moon's glow within you shall guide you, and my essence will be with you, even when the night seems darkest."
With the moonlit clearing still resonating with Artemis' cosmic energy, Naruto turned to the radiant goddess, his eyes filled with curiosity. Artemis, now a maternal figure, began to unravel the cosmic lore of this new world.
"Naruto, the world you find yourself in is a tapestry woven with the threads of gods, monsters, and mortals. In this realm, gods have descended from the heights of Olympus, and their interactions with mortals have created a unique pantheon of beings."
She gestured to the celestial bodies above, twinkling like cosmic pearls. "The lore's of this universe define beings known as half-bloods, demigods born from the union of a god and a mortal. These demigods carry within them the essence of both worlds, bound by the challenges and responsibilities that come with their lineage."
Naruto listened attentively as Artemis continued, her voice a cosmic melody that narrated the intricacies of this realm.
"However, my dear child, you are not a half-blood. You are something more—a child born from the essence of the moon and a mortal soul. The rules that govern my interactions with the demigods do not bind you. You are both god and mortal, a celestial being with a destiny woven in the cosmic loom."
Artemis' words resonated with Naruto, who felt a profound sense of his own unique existence in this vast and intricate universe.
Naruto, absorbing the weight of Artemis' revelation and her explanation of the sacred oath, felt a mix of emotions. Despite the cosmic nature of their connection, a warmth emanated from Artemis that echoed a maternal bond. Meeting her eyes with a genuine smile, Naruto spoke from the heart.
"Artemis, I may not understand all the divine stuff, but I get that you've had your responsibilities and oaths. It's a lot to carry, but I'm here now, and we're family in a way, right?"
Artemis, touched by Naruto's sincerity, nodded. "Yes, Naruto, in a unique and celestial way, you're my child."
Naruto's expression softened, a hint of understanding in his eyes. "Well, then, I forgive you for anything that might've needed forgiving. We're here, and that's what matters. I'm glad to have you here now, Kaasan" Naruto said smiling.
Artemis, her celestial aura radiating a sense of maternal affection, gently placed a hand on Naruto's shoulder. "Thank you, Naruto. Your forgiveness means more than you know."
The moonlight above seemed to shimmer with a special glow as the motherly connection between Artemis and Naruto deepened as she gives him a gift.
As Naruto embraced the gift of cosmic awareness bestowed upon him by Artemis, the celestial energy around them resonated with a newfound understanding. Artemis, her eyes reflecting the depth of their connection, elaborated on the significance of this unique ability.
"This cosmic awareness, Naruto, is a rare and powerful gift," Artemis explained. "It grants you the ability to navigate the intricacies of this universe, to comprehend the divine and mortal aspects of your existence. The celestial wisdom of the moon resides within you, guiding you through challenges and revelations that lie ahead."
Naruto, feeling the surge of this cosmic wisdom, nodded in acknowledgment. He could sense a profound connection to the universe, a knowledge that surpassed the boundaries of mortal understanding.
Artemis, standing in the forest with Naruto, felt the need to alert her brother Apollo about their current location. She focused her divine presence, reaching out across the celestial realms to send a message.
"Brother," Artemis called out with an air of authority, "It's Artemis. I need your help."
In response to Artemis' message, a burst of radiant energy marked the arrival of another god. Apollo, the sun god, descended in his golden chariot, hovering above the celestial scene—a testament to the cosmic balance. A worried look crossed his face upon seeing his sister with a young boy who looked exactly like her. "Little sister!" Apollo called. "What's up? You never call."
"Well, for starters, I am not your little sister," Artemis retorted, her face showing annoyance.
"Hey, I was born first," Apollo replied, grinning.
"We're twins! How many millennia do we have to argue... never mind, we have more serious stuff to talk about," Artemis replied, looking down at Naruto.
Apollo, putting two and two together, let out a shocked expression. "I see our nights just got a bit more interesting. A demigod born from the moon herself now, that's a twist!" he replied, laughing.
Artemis's expression was a blend of affection and amusement. Apollo, ever the irreverent sun god, couldn't resist a playful jab.
"Well, well, little sister," Apollo teased, casting a mischievous glance at Artemis. "Who would've thought you'd have a little celestial rendezvous and end up with a child? I didn't even get an invitation to the baby shower!"
Artemis rolled her eyes at her brother's banter. "This is not the time for your jokes, Apollo. His existence carries cosmic implications, and we must tread carefully."
Apollo, undeterred by Artemis' stern demeanor, continued to playfully prod. "Oh, come now, sister. It's not every day you become a mother. I bet the other gods will be positively starstruck when they find out."
Artemis gave him a stern look before speaking. "That's exactly why you're here, to keep him away from the other gods' eyes until he's ready to be claimed by me." Apollo, now fully understanding the situation, looked at Naruto with curious eyes.
"What an interesting demigod, a son born from the Goddess of the Moon. The world truly does work in wonderful ways. Say, what's your name?" Apollo asked Naruto.
Taking his time to answer, Naruto was lost in his thoughts. In his previous life, he was just Naruto Uzumaki, the future Hokage—a dream that wasn't meant to be. Naruto locked eyes with Apollo and greeted his new uncle.
"My names, Naruto Uzumaki, Son of Artemis, Goddess of the Moon," he grinned in response before adding, "and I will be the strongest demigod to ever exist."
Artemis smiled with pride, her maternal concern evident in her voice as she spoke, "Naruto, you must hone your abilities before you venture to Camp Half-Blood. The challenges there are formidable, and we want you to be prepared."
Apollo, ever the sun god of inspiration, added with a grin, "A bit of training under the sun can do wonders. What do you say we whip you into shape, Naruto? I'll even let you bask in my glorious radiance."
With a nod of determination, Naruto accepted their guidance. Under the watchful eyes of Artemis and Apollo, his training commenced a fusion of celestial prowess and mortal resilience.
Days turned into nights, and nights into days as Naruto embraced the rigorous training. Apollo's home, a grand mansion on the edge of a cliff in the middle of nowhere, became the backdrop for his training. The vast estate provided ample space for Naruto to harness his abilities under the guidance of Apollo and Artemis.
As Naruto trained in the mansion's expansive gardens and celestial training rooms, he sought to understand his newfound family. During breaks in training, he engaged Artemis and Apollo in conversation, learning about their divine responsibilities, the complexities of their relationships with other gods, and the intricate balance between sun and moon.
Naruto, curious and eager, asked questions about the cosmic order, the pantheon of gods, and the vast lore that shaped their existence. Artemis, in her composed manner, shared tales of the hunt and the moonlit mysteries, while Apollo, with his irreverent charm, regaled Naruto with anecdotes of sunlit escapades.
In these moments of conversation, Naruto felt a deeper connection forming an understanding of the celestial dynamics that surrounded him. His questions weren't just inquiries; they were threads weaving a tapestry of familial understanding.
The grand halls of Apollo's mansion echoed with laughter and the exchange of cosmic wisdom. Naruto not only honed his physical strength but also cultivated a profound connection with the sun and moon, and the family that embraced him in this haven.
As Naruto talked with Apollo, the sun god, about the wonders of the realms, his appearance also underwent a subtle transformation. At ten years old, his once blonde, spiky hair now took on an auburn hue, and his ocean-blue eyes shimmered with a silvery-grey tint, glowing yellow under the enchanting light of the moon. In this divine abode, Naruto, with his new appearance and cosmic wisdom, became a beacon of the harmonious union between sun and moon.
Under the moonlit canopy, Naruto and Artemis stood in the sacred clearing, the celestial energy weaving a tapestry of cosmic connection. The gravity of their conversation hung in the air, and Artemis, the goddess of the moon and the hunt, spoke with a mixture of maternal warmth and solemn duty.
"Naruto," Artemis began, her silvery eyes reflecting the luminance of the moon, "the time has come for me to return to my duties with the Hunt. My presence here has been a guiding light, but I must heed the call of the huntress."
Naruto's silvery grey eyes, now a mirror to the moonlit night, revealed a tinge of sadness. The celestial bond he had formed with Artemis had become a source of comfort and guidance, and the prospect of her departure stirred emotions within him.
"Kaasan," Naruto spoke, his voice a gentle breeze in the cosmic stillness, "I've found solace in your presence, and the moon has been my guide. Must you go?"
Artemis approached Naruto, her ethereal touch conveying both reassurance and a mother's love. "My child, our paths will cross again, for the celestial threads that bind us are woven into the fabric of destiny. But, for now, I must return to the Hunt and the sacred duties that await."
Naruto, feeling a mixture of sadness and gratitude, embraced Artemis. The bond they shared transcended the realms, and in that moment, Artemis held him with the tenderness of a mother.
"I'll miss you," Naruto confessed, the vulnerability in his voice echoing the human essence within his being. Artemis, in response, cradled his face in her hands, a maternal gesture transcending mortal and divine boundaries.
"Naruto," she whispered, "the moon will remain your silent companion, and its glow will carry the whispers of guidance. Embrace the challenges that await, for you are destined for greatness."
As Artemis began to dissipate into the moonlit night, a breeze carrying her essence, Naruto took a moment to absorb the bittersweet farewell. Naruto, with a mixture of emotions, turned his gaze to the moon. The bond forged with Artemis would endure, and the moon, with its silent wisdom, would continue to illuminate his path.
Time Skip - Two years Later
Under the watchful gaze of the moon, and Naruto's journey unfolded in the secluded mansion on the edge of a cliff the dwelling of Apollo, the radiant god of the sun. Under the tutelage of Apollo, Naruto honed his abilities, each day marked by the rhythmic dance of sunlight and moonlight.
Apollo, with his jovial demeanour and radiant presence, became a mentor and a companion to Naruto. Together, they trained in the expansive fields surrounding the mansion, where the clash of deities' energies and the echoes of Naruto's progress reverberated.
Naruto, now twelve years old, had undergone a physical transformation. He was looking more like his mother day by day.
Naruto stood on the edge of Apollo's mansion, the celestial energies lingering in the tranquil night air. The time had come for him to embark on the journey to Camp Half-Blood, where ancient forces stirred, and celestial destinies awaited.
As Naruto gazed at the mansion, memories of the past two years flooded his mind the laughter shared with Apollo, the training that pushed his limits, and the camaraderie that had grown between them.
With a deep breath, Naruto turned away from the mansion, his silhouette illuminated by the moon's gentle radiance. The cosmic connection with Apollo remained, a bond forged through training and shared moments, but the path ahead beckoned.
However, as Naruto attempted to leave discreetly, a figure appeared before him Apollo, his golden aura shimmering in the moonlit night. The god of the sun wore a knowing smile, his eyes betraying a hint of reluctance.
"Naruto," Apollo spoke, his voice resonating with warmth and concern, "the journey ahead is fraught with challenges. Are you sure you're ready to face the unknown?"
Naruto hesitated, feeling the weight of Apollo's gaze. The god of the sun had become more than a mentor; he was a companion and a friend and family.
"I appreciate everything you've done for me, Apollo," Naruto replied, his voice carrying a mixture of gratitude and determination. "But I have to follow my destiny. The threads of fate are pulling me towards Camp Half Blood."
Apollo's smile faded slightly, replaced by a more serious expression. "Naruto, even if I stopped you now, you would just find another way to leave."
"Just promise me you'll stay vigilant and stay true to yourself."
Naruto nodded, offering a solemn assurance. "I won't forget your teachings, Apollo. They're etched into my very being."
As Apollo lingered, Naruto seized the opportunity to escape discreetly. The celestial agility he had honed under Apollo's guidance became his ally as he melted into the shadows of the moonlit night.
Naruto, having discreetly escaped Apollo's mansion, made his way through the moonlit forest toward the outskirts of a seaside town. Unbeknownst to Naruto, Apollo watched from a distance, a radiant figure in the shadows.
As Naruto moved further away, the god of the sun hesitated, torn between his concern for Naruto's safety and the realization that he had allowed his nephew to depart.
Apollo, with a furrowed brow, whispered to himself, 'little sis isn't going to be pleased with this, Letting Naruto leave without her knowledge… I might be in for a scolding'.
Meanwhile, Naruto continued his journey, guided by the moon's gentle radiance. The cosmic energies whispered secrets of the night.
As Naruto ventured through the moonlit forest, his celestial agility and awareness heightened by Apollo's teachings, he absorbed the essence of the night. The moon became his silent companion, and the celestial whispers guided him toward the entrance of Camp Half Blood.
Back at the mansion, Apollo sighed, still torn between the desire to protect Naruto and the awareness that the child needed to face his destiny.
In the distance, the sea breeze carried with it the scent of adventure and uncertainty. The celestial journey of Naruto, the Son of Artemis Goddess of The Moon, unfolded, leaving Apollo to ponder the consequences of letting his nephew embark on a path yet to be fully revealed.
