Upon seeing the fire apparition in the flesh, Kuwabara had instinctively clasped her hand over the mark upon her neck as a response when she felt her heart begin to pulse thunderously.
Blushing, she swallowed the lump in her throat. "Hey." She greeted.
Hiei grunted and then peeled his hardened gaze from her's and then turned his complete undying attention to Yukina.
"Brother, you're finally here. Thank goodness." Yukina smiled, tears of joy forming in her eyes.
Kaguya blinked in surprise, having been unawares that Hiei and Yukina were related the whole entire time she that had known them until now, albeit she did have her suspicions that the key to those two's relationship was that very fact, and Yukina's words were the very confirmation that she had needed to hear, and because of this, thus Kaguya felt grateful and a deep sense of relief.
"Why are you upset for?" Hiei asked his maternal twin. "You shouldn't be. The human isn't worth crying over. She's worthless."
"Yes, but..."
The ginger felt that blow and felt it hard, irregardless of it having been merely a verbal attack upon her own person, thus her bodily senses went into overdrive, herself experiencing pain throughout her entire being. She turned to say something, but discovered that she had no voice to speak with.
Kaguya took it upon herself to then calmly step out of the room.
"Hiei, you don't know what you're talking about." Botan began chastising him once Kuwabara was well out of sight. "It so happened to turn out that Kuwa-chan isn't human after all. She's a demon, granted I don't know exactly what species of demon... Most of her records at Spirit World are missing."
Hiei blinked at Botan, himself stupefied. He looked to Kurama for answers. "What is the meaning behind all of this?"
"It is true, most of Kuwabara's files are completely missing. I had combed through the entire Hall of Records, searched through every archive, and even had snuck into the vaults, and turned up short for answers." Kurama responded. "The only information that had turned up about her are just tiny fractions of her current lifetime experience, whereas these experiences are very specific... Oddly enough, I could only find her exact life experiences of herself enduring those only moments of being part of our team, that and nothing more. In short, I could only find the files about her serving Spirit World alongside us on our missions."
"...And why should I care?"
Botan rejoined the argument. "Files just don't turn up missing, Hiei, not if Spirit World can help it. They're hiding something. Something...that has to do with Kaguya's past."
Kurama then went on further; "If it makes you feel any better, I had located all of my files pretty easily, same with Yusuke's, and likewise with yours. ...Hiei, something is not right. Why are they hiding Kaguya's records?"
"What is Kuwabara's past, Mister Hiei?" Yukina beseeched.
Kurama and Botan froze, both falling silent since Yukina had spoken the very question that plagued their minds.
Tension quickly filled the room and it was immensely heavy.
Hiei blinked. "You really... Do... Care about her?"
"But of course!" Yukina confirmed. "Now, please, help us. I know you can."
Hiei sighed. "For you, sister, I will do this."
When he touched his twin's hand, images began to flash with his own mind of his desire to save his sister at any and at all costs, even journey into the abyss to free her soul from those chains that bind her there...
Whether it be a mere fantasy or not, he believed in his own heart and mind that he was his sister's own true salvation from her perpetual suffering...

Hiei blinked and looked at his hand balled into a fist in bewilderment as the vision continued whereby he saw himself standing in the rain as before, all before the visions faded away, as if it were washed by the imaginary rain whilst he walked forward.
The others watched him as he sat down upon the bed, the white sheets clean and crisp to the touch.
"I will see what I can." Hiei responded calmly.
