Alright Chapter two before we begin let's start with some reviews!
Leaf Ranger: I know, and it feels nice to restart this.
Deniswanhede: Thank you, and yes it will still be a harem like the original and Hinata will be in it. That will be later on after a couple of arcs.

Naruto stretched his arm as he and Hiruzen walked down the road. Once the young blond was allowed to go, he put on what was left of his clothes, mainly his pants and mesh armor. His jacket and shirt were torn and bloody, so he was making do without. It was fine with him, but it did show the scar he received from the bite.
"Is it bothering you?" The old kage asked. He had seen many scars in his long life, and he seen how their bearers reacted to them. While Naruto's scar wasn't the worst Hiruzen had seen, it was still a nasty one for someone so young.
"It just feels stiff that's all, hopefully it will loosen up with some training." Naruto replied.
"It will be fine even before that. Between my chakra and your healing, it will feel normal in a minute or so." Kyubi spoke up. Naruto nodded in relief.
"That's good. It could have been a lot worse. Ah here we are." The two stopped in front of a rather plain-looking shop with paint chipping off. Above the door was an etching of a kunai.
"I never noticed this place before?" Naruto said as they walked in.
"That's because the family who runs the shop prefers word of mouth. This way they sell to actual shinobi rather than people who want a pretty wall piece." The elderly leader answered.
The shop was divided into two parts. On one side was every tool a ninja would need, such as weapons, scrolls, and even a couple vials of poison while the other side held clothing items that included small pieces of armor.
"Welcome to Heiki shop. Oh! Hokage-sama, greetings I did not expect to see you today." A young girl welcomed. She had brown hair that was tied into a pair of buns and had brown eyes, her clothes consisted of a pink and red blouse and dark green pants.
"Aw, Tenten, it's good to see you. How's your father?" Hiruzen asked.
"Dad's out making sure our smithing materials are arriving. Last time the merchants were attacked by bandits."
"I remember that. A group of thugs that were all muscle and no brains I'm afraid. The team sent to deal with them found they died because they all ate expired meat." Hiruzen recalled. Really it wasn't the strangest thing the old man seen but it was up there in the most recent events.
"Well either way how may I help you today?"
"Young Naruto here is in need of some new equipment." The old man gestured to the blond.
"And a new outfit I supposed?" She injured glancing at the blond's state of attire.
"I guess I'll need something new." Naruto agreed.
"Be sure to ask about clothes that can expand. You'll need it for your transformations." The fox spoke up.
"Hey, do you have any clothes that can stretch in size? I have a technique that changes my body."
"You do? Are you related to the Akimichi? They are the ones that normally look for something like that." Tenten asked. While not rare, body morphing techniques tend to be scarce.
"Nope. Although Choji often says were distant cousins when it comes to ramen." Naruto laughs.
"Tell you what Naruto, I'll cover the cost for the equipment while you pay for the clothes." The hokage offered.
"Are you sure old man? I can pay." Naruto said shocking Tenten that anyone would refer to their leader in such a way.
"Yes Naruto. Consider part of your payment for dealing with that missing nin that put you in the hospital."
"Thanks old man I'll try to be quick."
"Take your time, I'll simply talk to Tenten here and see what her team been up to." Nodding Naurto went over to the clothing section of the store.
"Now what should I get."
"Anything that doesn't have orange."
"What's wrong with orange?"
"It will have you be a bright target that's what's wrong."
"But it's orange." Naruto pouted. Rolling her eyes the fox decided to compromise.
"You can have some, SOME, orange but it just can't be the main color alright."
"Deal!" Naruto agreed as he looked at the racks. With the fox's input he quickly found an outfit. Walking out of the changing room the lycan now wore black shinobi pants with grey tape wrapping around the legs, a dark orange short sleeve and a black vest. His tool pouch was at the small of his back and kunai holster on his right leg. Walking to the counter with his items the other two greeted him.
"Finished I see. I got to say that's definitely an improvement." Tenten said. Ringing them out she smiles. "There you go, looks like you'll be prepared for the assessments coming up."
"What assessments!?" Naruto panicked, he finally became a ninja and now there's a chance he'll be sent back to the academy.
"Ah I had forgotten. Naruto the night when you were placed in the hospital it came to light that the academy had been sabotaged. So, all the recent genin teams are being evaluated. No worries though. No one is losing their shinobi license." The third explained.
"Great, I better get ready. Kakashi sure isn't going to teach me anything." Naruto grumbled as they left the shop.
"What do you mean Naruto?" Hiruzen asked. He had known Kakashi for years and while yes, he is burdened with the loss of his teammates it was unlike him to be irresponsible.
"I don't know. It's just whenever I ask him for help it seems like he'll say yes but freezes up and tell me to work on the basics." Naruto explains missing a calculated look on the third's face.
"I…see. I'll look into this. In the meantime, I suggest that you work on you know what for now. The assessment is in three days so you will have time. Just be at training ground fourteen at eight a.m. sharp." Nodding Naruto said goodbye as he ran off to train. Finding a clearing in the forest he got ready.
"So how do I do this?"
"Focus on your chakra and have it flow throughout your body. Then imagine your body turning into that of a wolf." Nodding he began to follow the instructions. At first nothing happened but then he felt a change. At first it was his bones elongating and his skin stretching, then blond fur began to sprout all around his body. His mouth stretches forward as fangs grew; a tail ripped out of his backside. Soon his transformation was completed. Overall, he looked like a smaller version of the werewolf that attacked him, only he had blond fur, silver eyes and clothes.
"That was not pleasant." Naruto groaned out. He noticed his voice was deeper and more guttural than before.
"You just had your entire body physically change. Don't worry, I'm sure it won't be as painful next time, but you will have to work on the speed. It took you ten seconds to change, that's plenty of time for a civilian to kill you let alone another ninja."
"Right, well I might as well get use to this body."
"I recommend hunting. You will need to kill with this form sooner or later. Might as well do it now and get lunch for it." The moment the vixen said lunch Naruto's stomach rumbled.
"Great now I'm hungry." Naruto said realizing he hadn't eaten anything since the hospital.
"All the more reason to succeed kit." The fox teased. Grumbling the blond got to work.
Training Ground 14 (Three days later)
Training ground fourteen, also known as the battle ground. It was a fairly large field with boulders scattered around, often times ninja would come and train/spar against each other. Of course, this often led to the training field being cratered and torn thus giving its nickname.
The first to arrive was team nine which consisted of Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi and their sensei Asuma Sarutobi.
"This is such a drag." Shikamaru groans. Really, he could be sleeping or watching the clouds.
"What isn't a drag for you Shika? Besides this is our chance to show how much we improved." Ino said.
"You me show off to Sasuke." Choji pointed out as he munches on some chips. Before Ino could reply Asuma intervened.
"Relax you three. You been working hard so there's nothing to worry about." He assured them.
"Glad to see you have so much confidence in your students." A voice spoke up. Turning to the source they see team eight who had Shino Aburame, Kiba Inzuka and his ninkan Akamaru and Hinata Hyuga. Their sensei Kurenai Yuhi continued. "Afterall it's shows how much they trained since graduating."
"Kurenai, good to see you. Is your team ready for today?"
"You bet we are. Don't know how this is done but we're going to be the best!" Kiba answered with Akamaru barking in agreement.
"Now Kiba don't get overconfident. Do that and you'll be caught off guard." His sensei warned.
"Any idea when Kakashi will arrive?" Asuma asked.
"Knowing him, two hours." Kurenai scowled knowing about his tardy reputation.
"It won't be that long. Pops said he told Kakashi to be here at six." Almost on cue most of team seven arrived.
"Hey Kakashi, aren't you missing someone?" Asuma asked when seeing only two genin.
"True, Naruto hasn't been showing up for training for the last week." The silver hair jonin said.
"That idiot probably realize he wasn't fit to be a shinobi." Sasuke grunted. This angered the Inzuka.
"Hey asshole! Since you obviously didn't check, Naruto is in the hospital." Kiba growled. He remembers the night his mom came home smelling of blood, which was normal in their line of work but the fact it smelled like Naruto's made him ask what happened. Hearing a small gasp, he kicked himself as he glanced at Hinata. He didn't tell anyone because it was under investigation, and he didn't want to worry his teammate since everyone except Naruto knew about her crush.
"What did he do? Stab himself with a kunai?" Sasuke mocked earning a few glares from the ninja around him.
"Oh, I just feel the love teme." Turning the voice, they see Naruto sitting in one the trees eating some meat.
"Well look who it is. I thought you were still in the hospital." Kiba smiled.
"Got out a few days ago. Here, its boar." Naruto said tossing him and Akamaru a couple of pieces before jumping down.
"You idiot! Why haven't you been coming to our team meetings!" Sakura yelled as she threw a punch at the blond's head. Ducking under it they lycan glared at the pinkette.
"I didn't realize you became deaf Sakura. In case you got your hearing I was in the hospital and had to take a few days off." He half lied. He was fully recovered, he just needed to train. Before anyone else could say anything the hokage arrived.
"Aw good, you're all here. Now as you know the academy had been sabotaged. So, at this moment we need to reevaluate your skills. This will be done in a simple tourney style. Each one of you will randomly match against another for a fight. Since there are nine of you, one match will be a three-way fight. Myself and your senseis will be judging your performance." Seeing everyone nodded he pulled names.
Sasuke vs Kiba
Shino vs Shikamaru
Naruto vs Choji
Sakura vs Hinata vs Ino
Naruto sat down to watch as Shikamaru and Choji joined him.
"So how have you guys been?" Naruto asked as he watched Kiba and Akamaru attack Sasuke on both sides.
"Apparently better than you. Are you sure you should be out and about?" Choji asked. Sasuke avoids the two and launches several shuriken forcing his opponents to separate.
"You know me, a fast healer. Even faster now actually." Akamaru transforms into a copy of Kiba, together the two forces Sasuke to be on the defensive.
"What do you mean by that?" Shikamaru asked. Sasuke builds some distance and lets loose a great fireball separating the partners.
"You'll see. Crap I think it's about to be over." Naruto groans asSasuke wraps some wire around one of the Kibas.
"Yield or I'll burn this mutt to ashes." The last Uchiha demanded. Turns out it was the real Kiba that was free as he forfeited. After checking on Akamaru the Inzuka took Shikamaru's place as the shadow user went up against Shino.
"Tough brake man but at least you kept the jerk on his toes." Naruto said. Shino releases a swarm of bugs.
"I guess, if me and Akamaru perfected our tunneling fang we would've had it." Shikamaru throws a couple of shuriken forcing Shino back as he tries to avoid the swarm.
"So, who do you think is winning this?" Naruto asked.
"Don't you mean will Shino beat Shikamaru before he forfeits?" Choji said. True enough the Nara groans and gives up.
"Looks like we're up. Let's put on a show shall we?" Naruto said as they got in position.
"Partial expansion! Arm!" Choji began with a punch as his right arm grew to an enormous size. Naruto waited until the punch was close enough before using the top of Choji's fist to jump into the air. There he created two shadow clones to the shock of the genin watching.
"Clones?! Since when the hell could he do that?!" Kiba asked.
"Those aren't normal clones." Kurenai answered.
"She's right. Those are shadow clones. A B rank kinjutsu. Unlike a regular clone, shadow clones are solid." Asuma explained. As if demonstrating his point, one of the Narutos kicked Choji in the stomach while another lands a punch.
"Alright but how come he can use it? I mean we all seen how his clones turned out in the academy and you said it was a kinjutsu. Should he even be using it?" Ino pointed out.
"My guess, chakra consumption. Regular clones take very little chakra, but since Naruto can use shadow clones that means it wasn't a lack of chakra but too much. Every time he tried to make a clone, he overloaded it with chakra." Asuma explained. Choji uses partial expansion before tucking his limbs inside. He began to roll after the Narutos trying to flatten them.
"Do shadow clones really take that much chakra?" Kiba asked.
"I'll put it this way. My father in his prime could make twenty of them before passing out from exhaustion. I may be able to make five. That's why it's considered forbidden, unless you have large reserves than you could kill yourself with this jutsu." As if to prove a point Naruto created ten clones shocking the jonins that haven't seen him in action. Unfortunately, Choji began to slow down as his technique was eating away at his reserves. Seeing this the Narutos began to chip away at the Akimichi. Soon enough Choji called it seeing he was exhausted.
"That was a good match Choji, we should spar again some time." Naruto said as they went to the sidelines.
"How about a rematch at the barbecue restaurant?" Choji asked, making Naruto chuckle in agreement. As the two sat down Shikamaru had to ask.
"Naruto, how much chakra do you have?" The blond just shrugged.
"I don't know, a lot I guess." Naruto said as he heard a snort in the back of his mind.
"Yeah, a lot as a low kage. Shame it's not that useful without the proper control or skill to use it." He decided to ignore the jab as he watched the girls begin.
"So, who do you think will win, Ino or Hinata?" Naruto asked. Shikamaru cocked an eyebrow at that.
"You're not rooting for your teammate?" The shadow user asks as Ino ducks from a kunai swipe as Hinata strikes Sakura in the arm.
"While I'll wish her the best, she hasn't trained all that much since the academy." Naruto answers. Ino backs away from the two to plan.
"Well, Hinata got this! She might be shy but she's tough." Kiba boasted.
"It seems like Ino agrees with you Kiba." Shino said, spooking the small group.
"What are you talking about?" The dog user asks. Shino merely points as Ino use her family jutsu to take over Hinata's body. The now possessed Hinata smirked before breaking Sakura's guard and delivering a knee right into her stomach knocking her out of the fight. Then pulling a kunai out of Hinata's pouch she put it at her neck making Ino the winner.
"That is such bullshit!" Kiba groaned.
"It is merely logical. Ino knew Hinata was the more dangerous opponent and use that to her advantage." Shino pointed out. Yes, he was saddened by the loss but that's life. As Shino and Sasuke began, Kiba was reassuring his teammate.
"Don't sweat it Hinata, Ino only won because she got a lucky shot."
"Hey, it worked dog breath." Ino snipped. Shino's swarm moved out of the way of a fire ball Sasuke sent.
"But he has a point Ino. If you missed your body would have been vulnerable and Hinata would have won. Next time try to find a more guaranteed option." Asuma pointed out. He didn't want to diminish his student's win, but he didn't want to encourage her to take unnecessary risks. Shino decided to forfeit as Sasuke had destroyed a third of his hive.
Now Ino and Naruto were up. Naruto quickly ran at Her throwing a punch, but Ino dodges it and sent a kick to his stomach. Backing away avoiding the hit Naruto went to make a clone but Ino got close and sent a punch forcing him to block.
"Ino is fighting smart. She knows Naruto is stronger than her, but she's making sure he can't create any clones. Once he does the fight is over." Asuma commented.
"True but how long can she keep that up?" Kurenai asked. They didn't have long to find out as Ino began to slow down allowing Naruto to kick out her feet, sending Ino on to her back. Quickly crouching down Naruto put a kunai to her throat.
"Looks like I won." Naruto said only for Ino to smirk.
"Did you?" Confused, Naruto looked down and saw that her hands were in a seal.
"Ino! Don't!" Asuma yelled out but it was too late.
"Mind possession!"
Naruto's mindscape
Ino opened her eyes and found herself in the middle of a dark forest with the full moon overhead. The trees were tall, and each one had blue, red, or silver leaves. She was surprised, normally when using the mind possession technique the Yamanaka would take over but this isn't the case.
"This means Naruto is resistant." Ino muttered. That was a surprise, for this to happen it must have meant one of three things. One, Naruto had multiple personalities, two, he had mental conditioning that allowed him to resist mind-based attacks, or three, there was another unknown factor at play. If Ino was a betting person, it would be the third. Naruto had never shown signs of a secondary personality and to have gained the mental conditioning required to resist a Yamanka's mind walking even as young as her takes years. Having no other options she began to search for Naruto's mental self. From there all she had to do was restrain him, which will be much easier than in the real world, due to her having the advantage in mental combat. As she walked through the forest Ino began to feel as if she was being watched. Looking around she sees a massive shadow lurking behind the trees. Before she could do anything a pair of red eyes opened.
"Leave."
Real world
Ino blinked as she found herself back in her body looking up at Naruto. She flinches slightly when she sees his eyes were red before they faded back to blue. Seeing she was still pinned and reeling from her encounter she gave up the match. As Naruto watches Ino go back to the group he had to ask his tenet.
"Did she see you?"
"Only my eyes. She might be suspicious about what she saw. I recommend transforming, it may throw her off." The fox informed him. He gave a mental nod as Sasuke got in front of him.
"Ready to go down teme?" Naruto asked.
"Hardly, a loser like you don't have a chance against me."
"Let's see about that." Naruto threw three kunai only for the Uchiha to catch one and deflect the others. Sasuke ran at the blond throwing a punch that was caught but the young avenger twisted his body and kicked Naruto's head, knocking the blond away. As he fell Naruto threw a couple of smoke pellets allowing him to hide. As Sasuke waited outside the cloud of smoke a pair of Narutos burst out and began to attack him. Dodging one Sasuke manage to catch one off guard making it poof. The remaining Naruto went to kick Sasuke, but the leg was caught and the Uchiha punched him only for this Naruto to go poof as well.
"Come out dope, you're only delaying the inevitable." He said glaring at the dissipating cloud.
"As you wish teme." Naruto replied, but the others watching were caught off guard, Naruto's voice more bestial. A blond blur burst out of the smoke, Sasuke barely had time to get out of the way and even then, he had cut marks going across his chest. Gasps filled the air as the blond werewolf was revealed.
"What. What is this!?" Sasuke demanded seeing Naruto's new appearance.
"This is my kekkei genkai, Tsuki umare (Moon Born)."
"You don't have a bloodline! You're just a no name loser!" Sasuke insulted.
"Well this loser is about to kick your ass!" Naruto growl. Charging at the Uchiha Naruto made two more clones to back him up. One clone took a swipe at Sasuke who barely dodged but the second one shoulder tackled him to the ground, before he could get up Naruto had his claws at his throat.
"Enough. The tourney is over." Hiruzen announced. Naruto got up and made his way to the others.
"Naruto, what the hell!?" Kiba asked as the blond turned back to normal.
"What? Like I said, turns out I have a kekkei genkai. I only found out when I got out of the hospital."
"Yeah, well just remember whose top dog around here." Kiba smirked at the blond.
"Aunt Tsume." Was the quick response, Kiba paused before muttering in agreement. He may talk big, but his mother can and will teach him why he's not as strong as he thinks.
"Genin, you are all dismissed for the day. Jonin come with me." Hiruzen ordered.
"So how does barbeque sound like? It would be good to catch up?" Naruto asks. Choji immediately agreed as the others nodded. As they left the training field no one noticed the hateful glare Sasuke was sending the blond werewolf.
Alight major differences in this chapter than the last story.
Clan heads aren't there since I felt they would have more important duties than watching the tourney.
Team Guy isn't here since they had a whole year to work out any problems with their skill sets.
I did the fights by drawing names from a hat and still somehow had all the girls fight each other, at least I did the scene this time.
Sasuke doesn't attack anyone, he's an ass but he's not an idiot.
No Kiba bashing this time, decided that Naruto and his family would be close. It would fit the overall theme of the story.
No punishments, I have a better plan for Kakashi and forcing that in would upset them.
