Prince of The Yotsuba: Alternative

Disclaimer I don't own Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei

"[It pleases me that you were unharmed from that terrorist attack.]"

Maya smiled cordially while gazing upon the screen that showed one of the four Elders of the Senate, the sponsor of the Yotsuba Clan, Toudou Aoba.

She knew that this call was coming since her son repelled that paltry attack from the Great Asian Union.

"My safety is all due to my son's love towards me." Maya answered with a smile as she cradled Tatsuya in her arms.

Tatsuya, for his part, merely rolled his eyes at his mother's affection.

For a child with only a year in his life, his eyes express emotions that should be beyond his age.

His eyes were currently showing great exasperation and fondness towards his mother's antics, something that was not miss by Maya and Aoba, much to the former's delight and the latter's curiosity.

"[Yes, young Tatsuya-kun's display of magic.]" Aoba exclaimed as he eyed the child with great interest. "[You did not inform me that he is already capable of magic when you first presented him to me.]"

At his birth, Maya did not bother presenting him to her family. As far as Maya is concerned, it was her call on when and how she would introduce her son to her immediate family and Maya did not feel that it was the right time to debut her son.

She had plans for her son, plans that would have been stymied if she introduced him to the Yotsuba at such a young age.

But Maya knew that, at the very least, she had to present her son the sponsor of the family. Toudou Aoba is a person that Maya would not offend if she could avoid it. He is a valuable resource and ally, and he was one of the few people that Maya respected to a great degree.

Maya also needed the man to tutor her son in the spiritual arts when he comes of age.

Toudou Aoba is a fearsome magician, and though Maya is confident that she could put the man to the ground if the need demands for it, the effort required to do so would be too much, even for her.

"If you recall, your excellency, I told you that my son was special when I introduced him to you." Maya reminded playfully. "And the magic that he was able to perform in his infancy was so unrefined that it is not worth your purview."

Maya loves her son. Tatsuya is her world. That said, her pride as a Magician would not allow her to hoist her son proudly as a Magician.

Aoba stared at Maya for a few seconds before nodding. "[Young Tatsuya's power is to be commended, but his control is less to be desire.]" Aoba criticized, irking Maya a bit. "[Still, a lack of control is to be expected. He is still but an infant after all.]"

"Thank you for the praise, your excellency." Maya said, not wanting to say the words that were in the surface of her mind.

She did not like her son being insulted, powerful ally or not.

"[If you are in need of tutors for young Tatsuya-kun, say the word and I will provide them.]" Aoba stated, knowing that Tatsuya would one day be a remarkable asset, not just for the Yotsuba Clan and the Senate, but also for the country of Japan. "[His ability to manipulate spirits should be nourish and cultivated.]"

"In the future, I would call upon that courtesy." Maya was confident that she could raise her son to be a remarkable magician and warrior, but the instructors that Aoba, much less the Senate, could provide her son was a resource that Maya would not reject.

Maya is very intent to give her son the world.

Aoba nodded while watching the babe in Maya's arms bow his head in gratitude towards him.

Aoba approved.

It was good that the child is already capable of showing courtesy towards allies. An excellent sign for a growing child.

If only his nieces and nephews develop as swiftly.

"Your excellency, may I voice an inquiry?"

"[You may.]"

The subject was now change from Tatsuya to another topic.

Yotsuba Tatsuya is an excellent investment, but he is not the primary topic of this impromptu meeting between the two powerful entities.

"As you may know, I am now the current head of the Yotsuba Clan. As my capacity as clan head, may I inquire if the country is headed to war against the Continent?" Maya asked with palpable excitement.

To win a war would be a nice feather on her cap.

A looked of distaste crossed Aoba's features, though it was not directed at Maya. "[Unfortunately, the majority of the Senate still wishes to avoid war against the Continent, and the plebians above wishes to broker peace.]"

Maya did not bother hiding the disappointment on her face. "A pity then." Maya said despondently. "I wanted a war under my belt before I settle into my position." Maya whined in low-spirit.

Tatsuya, seeing his mother's sadness, comfortingly patted her cheeks.

This immediately cheered Maya up as she casually and playfully pressed and rubbed her cheeks upon her son's crow.

Again, showing his advance development, Tatsuya could only look at his mother with exasperation and love.

"[Quite so.]" Aoba agreed, sharing Maya's disappointment. "[As we speak, an ambassador from the Continent is meeting with the plebian Prime Minister with paltry excuses to explain the attack on our motherland and her people.]" Aoba grumbled in irritation.

"Would you like me to pay the ambassador a visit?" Maya offered eagerly.

A quick round of fun would be delightful.

Aoba looked contemplative for a second before shaking his head. "[Tempting, but for now, we will heed the voice of the weak majority. We shall maintain peace.]" Saying those words left a foul taste in Aoba's mouth.

Maya nodded in displeasure.

"Will the Senate at least allow me to teach the Continent a refresher course on why it is…foolish to attack the Yotsuba?" Maya asked hopefully.

Aoba could only give Maya an animalistic smile. "[Make sure they remember vividly the lesson your father taught them.]"

Maya smiled beautifully, though there was a hint sadism behind her beautiful smile.

"I'll make sure that it is a lesson to behold." Maya assured excitedly.

Aoba nodded in satisfaction before speaking again. "[With regards to your son once again, there has been feelers sent to me asking about his future mate. Am I to understand that you already have plans for your son's future bride?]"

"I have some ideas, yes." Maya said casually.

"[Very well, I will have those feelers handle.]" Aoba stated assuredly. "[For Tatsuya-kun's successful debut…]" Aoba trailed off thoughtfully. "[…I hope you could forgive me but I would be a bit tardy in providing him with his reward.]"

"That is understandable." Maya said, not minding or caring what gifts the man would give her son.

If nothing else, Maya can expect a gold statue on the clan's doorsteps in a matter of days.

Tatsuya, for his part, offered another polite and gracious nod to Aoba.

Aoba nodded.

Young Tatsuya is a good boy, a very good boy.

(Scene Change)

When the meeting with Toudou Aoba concluded, Maya stepped out of her bedding chambers in good spirits and proceeded to head to the dining hall to have her breakfast.

This also filled Maya with joy.

Although her son's recent debut was something that Maya did not desire for, it still made her happy to finally have her son out in the open.

No more hiding the fact that she has a son.

Something lost, something gained.

For the first time since his birth, Maya and Tatsuya were sharing a meal out in the open.

Maya could not help but gush as her Tatsuya masterfully use his baby utensils to eat his meal with poise and elegance befitting of his status.

It was adorable in a certain perspective.

The servants around them would beg to differ.

The servants within the room could only stare at the child of their new clan head.

He was eating in a way so unlike children of his age. He was not making any mess. He was not showing disgust or favor towards his meal. He was just eating his meal with his baby utensils with robotic proficiency, devoid of grace and elegance, but with perfect precision.

Furthermore, the son of their clan head was making the servants uncomfortable.

Toddlers were normally very emotive and expressive. Due to their lack of communication skills, they have no choice but to emote to project what they are feeling to the adults around them.

Since seeing a glimpse of their clan head's son, the boy did not display a single emotion. He did not wear a single expression.

It was disturbing.

As if sensing the eyes directed on his person, Tatsuya pause from eating his meal before turning his attention to the servants that were staring at him.

Those that received his gazed stiffened considerably as the toddler eyed them with the most emotionless eyes that they have ever seen.

Tatsuya eyed them for a full second before a silver flash suddenly erupted within the dining room.

"Darling, none of that." Maya softly reprimanded her son swiftly yet lightly.

Tatsuya shifted her gazed from the servants to his mother with a questioning look in his eyes.

Maya gave him a gentle smile before sparring the servants that garnered her son's attention an exasperated look.

One of said servants, a maid, had the tip of a spiritual construct, a bladed tip of a dragon's tail, inches from her throat.

"Hayama-san had given all of you a briefing regarding my darling son, correct?" Maya inquired airily, as if the people around her were not worth her attention.

Normally, Maya was not so dismissive of their clan's servants, but considering that her son was nearby and was worthier of her attention, she would rather pretend that none of them existed.

Maya's inquiry was met with silence.

Said silence was met with a loud growling as a silhouette of a dragon slowly manifested behind Tatsuya, his body slowly beginning to erupt with silver flames.

Maya chuckled at such open display of affection from her son.

It was lovely to have such fierce and intimate protection directed at her.

Still, she is the Yotsuba Clan head, and she would rather keep her son from culling useful servants from the family.

"Darling, please don't kill our servants." Maya chided her son in amusement. "Good help is hard to find these days."

Tatsuya tilted his head at his mother before sweeping his gazed at the servants within the dining room. After surveying the dream, Tatsuya gave his mother a questioning look, close to disbelieving.

Again, Maya chuckled at her son's antics.

"My Darling son is waiting for a reply to my inquiry." Maya informed all the servants with a mirthful tone. Maya could feel the fear in the room and it was sensational. "I as well am waiting, and I am not one to wait."

At that threat, the servants shakily replied in a positive to Maya's inquiry.

Maya nodded in satisfactory.

"Considering that all of you are briefed, do show my son the proper respect and decorum that he deserves. He is still a child after all, with capabilities that allows him to use potent Spirit Magic. It would be quite the task to stop my son from throwing tantrums."

As if to prove Maya's point, a four-meter-tall draconic spiritual construct manifested from the silver flames that enshrouded Tatsuya. Said construct snarled at the servants within the room.

The terror in the room spiked, and Maya once again chuckled in wonderment and bliss.

"Darling. I think they learned their lesson. You can calm down now." Maya ordered delicately as she patted her son's head.

Mother and son shared a look, as if the two were communicating with each other telepathically, and after a few seconds, the construct behind Tatsuya disappeared in a wisps of silver flames. The bladed tail that held a servant within blade point also vanished, much to the servant's relief.

Without prompting, Tatsuya returned to his meal. Maya laughed melodically at the sight before once again addressing her family servants. "Do try not to upset my son. His tantrums can be very destructive." Maya instructed before returning to her meal, ignoring the freshly traumatized people around her and her son.

(Scene Change)

Kuroba Aya, nee Shinonome, is one of the few people within the Yotsuba that did not fear Maya.

Aya is a childhood friend of the Yotsuba Twins, and she had stuck with the two throughout their lives. Even when the Yotsuba Twins had their falling out, even when Maya drastically changed after Dahan, Aya remained a steadfast friend of the twins.

Maya, even at the height of her insanity, had never threatened Aya in any way, shape, or form.

Aya is one of the few of the family that is firmly within Maya's good graces.

Aya is so firmly within Maya's good graces that she was able to simply walked into the newly furnish office of her childhood friend without knocking, an act that would normally earn a laser of light to whomever would do so.

The less said where that laser would be aimed at, the better.

Entering the office of her new clan head, Aya took a moment to survey the room.

Aya immediately identified two people inside of the room.

One was familiar, the other was unfamiliar.

Maya was seated in front of a large, wooden desk of gothic design. On top of the table was a work terminal that displayed some data that Aya could only assumed its content, several paper documents that seemed to garner Maya's attention, and a picture framed that contained a picture of her son.

It seems that Maya was taking her new position within the family very seriously.

The unfamiliar sight was a boy that she had only seen in pictures, pictures that she had only seen yesterday evening.

And said boy was hovering inches from her face, wearing the dullest eyes that she had ever seen a baby wore.

The boy was also shrouded with silver flames from head to toe

First, Aya fought the urged to jumped or flinched in surprised.

She is the best operative in the Yotsuba, the second strongest behind Maya. She would not be startled by her newly found nephew.

Second, Aya noted that the flames around Tatsuya was not fire. Instead, they were Pushion particles, spirit particles, that took the shape of flames.

It did not adapt the properties of fire; hence those flames would not burn.

Third, dull, borderline bored, eyes or not, the boy was contemplating on whether to attack her or not.

A laughable notion really.

Aya could feel the immense power her nephew possesses. Her nephew is powerful, truly. No child, magician or not, should have that kind of power.

That said, Aya is a skilled magician and fighter in her own right, and she knew that she could easily take her nephew down if he attacked her.

The problem with that though is that Maya would no doubt have her head mounted on a spike if she ever harms the boy before her.

Maya always wanted a child, and now that she has one, Aya knew that her friend would gladly kill for her offspring.

So Aya held the gazed of her nephew without flinching or showing any fear.

Right now, her nephew is a predator, searching for a reason to pounce.

In a way, her nephew was posturing for dominance.

It was cute in a certain way.

Unfortunately, Aya would not give in. She would not show any weakness.

That would be a major blow to her pride.

Aya did not know how long she held her nephew's gazed but when the boy tilted his head to the side, she knew she had won.

The boy extended his arms to Aya, telling her that he wanted to be held, and he wanted to be held by her.

Aya oblige, taking the boy in her arms. She noted that the shroud of silver flame disappeared the moment her fingers touch the boy.

A show of trust.

Aya looked at her nephew's eyes, hostility no longer present within those blue orbs.

His eyes were still dull though.

"Cheeky little boy." Aya mumbled before placing a kiss on her nephew's forehead.

"My darling likes you."

Aya turned her attention to her childhood friend and new clan head.

Maya is smiling at her, and Aya was relieve.

Before entering the premises, Aya made several assumptions on how Maya would act around her son, most of those assumptions were negative.

Aya was glad that Maya was not so obsessive with regards to her child.

Aya was praying that she wasn't controlling either.

"So…" Aya began as she approached Maya's work desk. "…Strategic-Class?" Aya inquired curiously.

"Yup!" Maya replied happily as Aya sat on the chair across her desk.

As if sensing that his mother was nearby, Tatsuya once again covered himself with silver flames and flew out of Aya's gripped and floated to Maya's lap.

Maya giggled joyfully at this.

Aya could only stare.

"You know children should walk first before flying." Aya lectured good-naturedly.

Tatsuya, for his part, gave his aunt a deadpan stare before hopping out of Maya's lap.

Tatsuya began to walk around his mother's work desk. After a few laps, Tatsuya ran circles around the desk for a few more laps.

Tatsuya did this while not diverting his stare from Aya.

Maya burst out laughing at this display of childishness, and Aya herself chuckled at how comical the child looks.

"Yes, that's your child." Aya said in between her giggles.

Maya is scary to a fault, but she can be comical when she wanted to prove a point.

If nothing else, Maya's child inherited that quirk of his mother.

Seeing that he had proven his point, Tatsuya once again flew onto his mother's lap, a look of smugness in his eyes.

Maya ruffled his hair in fondness.

Aya's giggling intensified at this.

"What's his name?" Aya asked politely.

"Tatsuya…" Maya answered happily.

"Dragon?" Aya inquired, taking note of one of the meanings of that name.

"Black Dragon to be precise."

"Shouldn't it be Silver Dragon?"

"Black is more threatening."

Aya rolled her eyes at that reasoning.

Of course.

"So, my cousins are trying to soften me up?" Maya asked, a bit of her humor leaving after that statement.

Aya nodded before sighing. "They are upset that you didn't tell them that you had a son."

"Which is my choice." Maya pointed out. "He is my son. How I raise him is entirely within my purview."

'Controlling, huh.' Aya thought dryly, but she expected it.

"True." Aya stated, though she did not agree wholeheartedly. "Still, we would have liked to have been involved with Tatsuya-kun's life. In fact, we would have like to have been there with you throughout your pregnancy. I know I would be."

Maya chuckled at those words. "Carrying my darling was easy. It was the happiest nine months of my life." Maya sighed blissfully, remembering those days when her son was still in her womb.

Aya could believe that. Aya knew that Maya wanted to be a mother since she was 18.

It had always enraged and saddened Maya whenever she was reminded of her inability to have children.

Maya must have been over-the-moon when she discovered that she was pregnant.

"Bearing him to the world was also easy. He did not even give me an ounce of difficulty rearing him." Maya cooed in joy, remembering that day she brought Tatsuya to the world.

April 24, 2079 would always be the happiest day in Maya's life.

"Happy to hear that." Aya said with a slight hint of jealous in her voice.

Bearing her own twins to the world had been difficult for her. It was worth it, but it was still difficult.

"So, who is the father?" Aya asked softly, hoping that Maya would be willing to give an answer.

Maya only smiled at her.

The smile that Maya gave her communicated the clear identity of Tatsuya's father.

Irrelevant and Dead.

Aya nodded at that.

If Maya would not share the existence of her son to the clan, she would of course not share her son with his own father.

(Scene Change)

Miya knew that she could be impulsive and that she has a temper.

Qualities that she had developed in the years after Dahan, most of which she spent trying to prevent that thing, that psychopath from further desecrating her twin sister's body.

She mostly failed in that endeavor.

Still, when her new clan head left her in the mercy of the clan heads of the Ten Master Clans, Miya blew a gasket.

She was not happy being questioned on something that she has no knowledge of.

She was also not fond of dealing with one Saegusa Kouichi.

Miya's disliked of Saegusa Kouichi is only a step below Maya's.

Still, a part of her was questioning her decision in bringing her infant daughter to the Yotsuba Village, particularly the main estate, when she was fully intending to confront Maya.

Miya was not afraid of Maya harming her daughter.

Fortunately, Maya has lines that even she would not cross, and killing babies were one of them.

Also, Maya knew that there will be consequences if she tries to harm her child.

Still, Miya should have considered how her newly discovered nephew would react to the sight of another baby.

The moment that Miya barged into Maya's office, she was met with the gazed of her nephew, Tatsuya, body covered in silver flames, and already floating inches from her.

The two only stared at each other for a few seconds before the one-year-old baby tilted his head followed by the boy cutely tapping her on the cheeks.

A sign of affection from her nephew, something that warmth Miya's heart.

That warmth disappeared when Tatsuya turned his attention to Sakurai Honami.

Tatsuya flew towards her Guardian and held her with a dull yet threatening gazed.

To Honami's credit, the Guardian only smiled awkwardly at the boy who was doing his best to stare right through the Guardian's soul.

After several minutes of staring, Tatsuya tilted his head, showing his approval for the Guardian before turning his attention to the child that Honami was carrying.

Miya's five months old daughter, Miyuki.

All the color drained from Miya's face drained when Tatsuya lowered himself until he was face-to-face with Miyuki, his blue eyes staring directly at Miyuki's.

Miya panicked knowing full well that Tatsuya might attacked her daughter.

Right now, Tatsuya was like an animal, an apex predator who would attack those that he deemed prey.

Miya blamed Tatsuya's upbringing for this, henceforth; she blames Maya.

Still, Miya did not show any sign of removing her daughter from her nephew's line of sight. She did not know how Tatsuya would react to that.

Miya watched with conceal dread as Tatsuya stared at Miyuki judgmentally.

Her daughter, not knowing the danger that she was in, stared back with utter confusion and curiosity.

The two infants held each other's gazed for what seems like hours, when the youngest of them broke.

Miya paled a bit when her daughter extended her chubby arms and raised her chubby hands and started tapping her cousin's cheeks as if she was slapping a suitor.

Tatsuya could only stare at the female babe as she continuously tap his cheeks.

Before Miya could remove Miyuki from Tatsuya's sight and vicinity, her nephew extended his own arm at Miyuki.

Miya expected the worst but before she could jump in between the infants, Tatsuya extended his index finger and began poking Miyuki's sides, curiosity clear in his eyes.

Miya watched in bafflement as her daughter taps Tatsuya's face while said boy was poking her daughter's side.

This went on for minutes before Miyuki stopped and began giggling.

To Miya's surprised, Tatsuya giggled before a portal burst out behind him.

A massive claw erupted from the silver flames around Tatsuya before it went into the portal. In seconds, a large baby crib was dragged into the room before the portal vanished.

Without preamble, Tatsuya swipe Miyuki out of Honami's hand before gently placing the infant into the crib. Tatsuya soon followed, and the two infants quickly began to play with each other, with Tatsuya offering Miyuki a baby rattle.

Miyuki accepted the toy with a giggle, and Tatsuya giggled as well as he reached for a stuff toy that looks eerily like Maya.

Again, Miya could only stare in bewilderment.

"That was the most terrifyingly adorable thing that I have ever seen in my life." A familiar voice exclaimed.

Turning to the source of the voice, Miya was only marginally surprise to see Aya in the room.

Her cousins mostly sent Aya first to soften up Maya whenever they would visit the main estate.

Still, Miya changed her attention from Aya to Maya and she did not like the glare the being that now occupies her twin sister's body was directing at her daughter.

Of course, that psychopath would be the possessive type.

Miya coughed loudly in order to transfer that psychopath's attention from her daughter to her.

Miya looked at her guardian, giving her a silent command.

Honami, already knowing the tells of her primary, nodded and went to the crib where the two infants were playing in.

Miya made her way towards her friend and 'sister'.

Without prompting, Miya sat across Maya and Aya.

"I did not appreciate you leaving me with your colleagues." Miya said with clear irritation in her voice.

"I did not appreciate you giving a doll to my son without my request." Maya retorted; a glare directed at Miya.

Miya glared back. "My daughter is not a doll."

"Of course she is." Maya rebutted. "Looked at her, already planning to steal my son."

All three adults looked upon the sight of Miyuki giggling as she waved the rattle at Tatsuya's face.

Tatsuya for his part smiled as she held onto her 'Maya'-plushie.

"Despicable." Maya spat out in disgust.

Miya rolled her eyes at this. "They're children." Miya pointed out.

"Your daughter's a conniving vixen, plotting to seduce my son away from me." Maya fired back.

"So, no play dates with my twins, got it." Aya said, trying to divert the attention of the Yotsuba Twins from each other. "Where is Eisaku-dono? I figured he'd be here already with a list of question for Maya-chan."

Miya turned her attention to Aya, her ire momentarily disappearing. "He'll be here by tomorrow. He is trying to sate the curiosity sparked by Tatsuya-kun's existence and performance." Miya answered.

"Let me guess, they are trying to have betrothal contracts drafted for my son?" Maya's irritation was evident in her tone of voice.

"With the display that your son showed, can you honestly blame them?" Miya asked rhetorically. "They are also asking for you to announce an heir."

Maya snorted at this. "I just got my position and they are already asking me to name my replacement." Maya said in amusement and distaste. "If they ask you again, tell them that my son would not be my heir."

That earned Maya double takes from Aya and Miya.

"You won't have Tatsuya-kun to be you heir?" Aya asked in disbelief.

Maya rolled her eyes at that inquiry. "I know this game, and I know how to play it. As much as I want our peers from the Number Families to squirm, I know that naming a Strategic-Class Magician as the Yotsuba's next heir would be detrimental for us." Maya admitted without any heat in her voice before smirking. "And also, my son would be more useful for the family if he is not tied down to the clan leadership." Maya swept her gazed at the two in front of her. "Do both of you have any idea the amount of power and freedom I have to give up to be the next head of our clan?"

Both Miya and Aya were aware.

That's one of the reasons why Eisaku named Maya as his heir, and it was a hassle to convince her to accept in the first place.

"So, your successor…"

"…is yet to be determined, but it won't be my son." Maya said dismissively.

That was a relief for Miya. That was one bullet dodge.

"Did the JSDF showed interest?" Maya asked as she directed her attention to her sister.

Miya frown and nodded. "They made an offer to have him train with the military when he reached the age of 8."

The lights began to flicker within Maya's office at that knowledge.

"I'll personally informed them that my darling son won't be a weapon for them to wield." Maya growled out.

"They will push the issue." Aya pointed out.

"I will push back." Maya answered back. "I will remind them that the Yotsuba is different from the Itsuwa."

The Itsuwa Clan is arguably the weakest within the current roster of the Ten Master Clans, with them only having their position due to Itsuwa Mio, a young girl with the capacity to be a strategic-class magician.

"It's not about pushing back." Miya said as she turned her attention back to the children. They were still playing, much to Miya's disbelief. "Your son would need training. He would be targeted by our enemies, and power can only get a person so far."

A child capable of magic at the tender age of one is no doubt powerful. Tatsuya is powerful, that is without a doubt, but power can be countered, it can be overcome.

Miya feared that due to her nephew being so strong at a young age, his skill would suffer.

That would be dangerous for him.

"I am the Queen of Night, I can teach my son the necessary skills in magic, in both combat and mundane." Maya said, offended that her sister would presume that she would neglect her son's education and training. "Still, we don't need the resources of the military. Aoba-san had already promised assistance for my son's training."

There was silence after that announcement.

"The Devil that we know?" Aya inquired.

Maya nodded.

Miya sighed. "I guessed that is better than having one of our own serving in the military."

Miya dislikes the military. True, her uncle Motosuke served the military for most of his life, and her father and her uncle Eisaku also served in the Japanese Self Defense Force. Heck, before Dahan, most members of the Yotsuba had served in the military.

When the Yotsuba went to war against Dahan, the Japanese military was nowhere to be seen.

The Yotsuba had never forgiven the JSDF for that.

Since Dahan, no Yotsuba had served in the JSDF.

"Is Tatsuya-kun only capable of one magic?" Miya asked, wanting to sate a curiosity of hers.

"Why? Would that be a problem?" Maya asked challengingly.

If any of her family even hints that her son should lose his number due to his limitations, Maya would personally put them to the ground.

Seeing the bloodlust in Maya's eyes, Miya rolled her eyes.

"There will not be a problem regarding Tatsuya-kun losing his number." It would be the height of stupidity for the Yotsuba to ostracized and reject Tatsuya for something so asinine.

A Strategic-Class Magician is too good of a resource to lose to something so trivial.

Not to mention, Tatsuya's magic is centered around Spirted-Based Magic, and that was plenty versatile.

Maya visibly calmed at that before extending three fingers.

"A BS-Magician capable of three distinct magic." Aya whistled, impress at the information.

"Four actually…" Maya corrected, slowly extending a fourth fingered. "He inherited Ayame-Obaasama's [Elemental Eyes]."

Both Miya and Aya's eyes widen in utter surprised at that information.

"Truly?" Miya inquired, genuinely surprised at that news. "I thought we lost that Superpower after Obaa-sama's passing."

"How do you think my son was able to sense that I was endangered while we are thousands of miles apart? The [Elemental Eyes] is back with us." Maya stated triumphantly.

"Ayame-sama must be celebrating in her grave." Aya commented with a chuckle, happy that one of the original powers of the Yotsuba had once again manifested in the family.

"Knowing Grandma, she's probably laughing in glee." Both Maya and Miya stated in unison, both of them familiar with how Yotsuba Ayame agonized that no one, from her children to her grandchildren, inherited the magic that she considers her crown jewel.

Before the Yotsuba twins could notice or react that they just perform twin telepathy, which would result in the two biting at each, Aya spoke.

"[Elemental Eyes] and Spirit-Based…"

"[Astral Domination…]" Maya interrupted politely. "My son has the ability to completely dominate spirit particles and form them to his will." Maya looked over her sister and friend. "Darling, do give me a pet." Maya requested lovingly.

In a flash of silver flame, a silver cat jumped from the crib before waltzing, in midair, towards Maya.

Maya gingerly caressed the spiritual construct when it was near enough. "Thanks Darling!"

"No effort at all." Miya complimented before reaching for the silver cat and carefully touch its fur. "Not completely perfect." Miya added as she felt the fur of the cat. It was close, but Miya could distinguish a difference between this construct and a normal cat.

Still, it was realistic enough.

The cat purred before positioning itself on Maya's lap.

"Give it a year, and my darling should be able to produce 100% realistic [Spirit Construct]." Maya assured excitedly.

"[Elemental Eyes] and [Astral Domination]…" Aya stated, memorizing the magic. "What's the other two?"

"Is one of his magic [Spatial Distortion]?" Miya guessed, remembering his ability to crate portals from point A to point B.

Maya shook her head before casually taking a folder from one of her drawers. "Normally, I won't show this to anyone." Maya began as she slid the folder to her sister and best friend. "[Astral Domination] is a wonderful magic. Powerful, flashy, and versatile enough that my son could probably fake some phenomenon done by modern magic with it. It is also good enough to hide the more potent magic that my son is capable of." Maya stated as she gestured for them to read the contents of the folder.

Miya and Aya gave Maya a distinct look before they opened the folder. Immediately, the identified the documented that were given to them.

"Tatsuya-kun's Magic Assessment?" Aya inquired with wide eyes.

"It was very fortunate that Eisaku-Jiisama was able to streamline that ability of his." Maya said with a shrugged.

Without any more interruption, the two friends began reading their nephew's magic.

Line per line, text per text, the two woman's eyes widen in considerable amount as they read the projected capabilities of their nephew.

And their eyes widen in utter horror at one particular magic that their nephew has the capacity to perform.

Both turned their gazes at Maya, disbelief and fear in their eyes.

They both flinched at the sight of utter triumph on Maya's eyes.
