Chapter 16: A Trip to the Aviary
The next day, we all met up at the National Aviary to see the birds and then ate dinner at Federal Galley afterwards. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We listened to our usual music of NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Kate Bush, and Lizzo. Carly, Spencer, and Mr. Benson discussed how much they were looking forward to spring and summer activities with Carly hoping that these activities would be like when she was in middle school. Alex, Justin, and Max talked about how excited they were to relive their senior Disney trip later in May while still attending the spring and summer activities. Sarah, James, and Henri discussed Sarah's amazing 15th birthday party and Benedict Arnold getting suspended for drinking drugs and alcohol. Meanwhile, Pitt freshman Kate Gourley was with her Pitt students at the Aviary hosting a mystery party and we all learned that it was senior Heather Chessin's birthday that day, as she was turning 22 years old. We discussed with Julia Robison her favorite spring and summer activities when she was in middle school when Carly was, and Julia stated going to the Reserve Township park and fresh flower arrangements in Sewickley featuring the iconic rose from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Mia Thomson stated her younger sister, Hailey was busy that day, and Kate said the same things about her younger sisters, Lily and Breona, as they were busy that day, too.
