We watched, helpless as the light disappeared. There was a noise which caused Sailor Moon and I turn. We spotted Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi. "What are you two doing here?" Sailor Moon demanded. "Chibi-Usa, Chibi-Kumi, answer me!" Sailor Moon ran up to them. I followed at a slower pace.

"So that's Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi?" Mercury questioned.

"Were you two girls following us?" I asked softly, kneeling so I was at eye-height with them.

"You know something about this? Don't you?" Sailor Moon asked. The girls shrunk away. "Was this your plan? Are you with those kidnappers?" A black blur lept in front of us, and Luna landed in front of us.

"Usagi, don't." Luna said.

"Luna! Why are you defending her!"

"You need to calm down." Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi turned heel and ran.

"She's getting away!"

"Listen to me!" My eyes snapped up to the children as they ran. They widened when two familiar gems peeked out from under their collars. Chibi-Usa held the Legendary Silver Crystal, while Chibi-Humi had the Legendary Gold Crystal around her neck. "Go easy on them." Luna pleaded. "They're just children. If you're too harsh, she won't tell us anything."

"But she's…" Sailor Moon trailed off.

TIMESKIP

Later that night, I couldn't sleep. It was raining, and I found myself nursing a mug of coffee and watching the little water droplets patter against my window. The doorbell then rang. With a quick glance to Mamo's room, and hearing him snoring, I set my mug down and opened the door. I looked down and saw Luna, soaking wet. "Sorry to bother you, but I need your help. I found the girls." I grabbed my umbrella, slipped on a jacket and pair of flats and huridly followed Luna. I could see the weird looks from others as I raced to follow her. The grls were at the park. I sighed, a soft smile falling on my face. With a little difficulty, Luna and I managed to get the girls to my apartment. I changed them out of their wet clothes and each into one of my sweaters, one that was too large on them. When I set them in bed, they reaced out for each other and clutched each other's hands. I pulled my hair out of it's ponytail, letting it fall down my back.

"They must have wondered around the city for hours before finding htmeselves at the park." Topaz said woridly, her tail moving back and forth at the edge of the bed where she sat with Luna.

"I think they were afraid to go home." Luna added as I perched myself at the edge of the bed, gazing at the sleeping children.

"If that's the case, I think it's best that they stay here for the night." I said. "Usako seemed so upset today."

"Usagi didn't mean it. Deep down she understands. Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi are just scared. I think they might have been through some kind of trauma."

"So that's why they doesn't trust anyone." Topaz realised. "They doesn't know us, and whatever happened to them may have caused it. But I have no doubt that once they learn to trust us they'll open up." I reached out to the girls, gently brushing a paice of hair behind Chibi-Kumi's ear.

"They're not threats." Luna muttered. "They're just little girls." I placed my hand on theirs, curling my slender fingers around them. There was a soft gasp, and the two girls opened their eyes. They met mine, and then they stated to cry, burying their head into the pillows. I sighed softly and reached over to my stand, where a small Sailor Earth doll was sitting. Mamo got it for me as a joke. But, I kept it around because I liked it. I pulled two roses out of the vase it was resting on and pretended to hold them in her hands.

"'Do not cry, young ladies'." I said softly, putting on a voice. "'My magical roses are wilting, and only the smiles of two fair maidens can save them. Here, may I ask for your assistance to help them bloom once more?'" Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi reached out and teach took a rose. "'Thank you, fair maidens, I am Sailor Earth, at your humble service.'"

"And my name is Luna."

"And I'm Topaz." My brown feline said, stepping forward next to her cousin. "Did you have a bad dream?" I poked my head up from behind the bed, smiling at the two.

"I think I do a pretty good impression of Sailor Earth, right?" I asked. "I think I should be a professional vantriloquist."

"Wait a second!" Chibi-Kumi exclaimed. She scrambled over to the end of the bed. "We have talking toys too!"

"That's right!" Chibi-Usa agreed, following her pink-haired companion. "This is my Luna-P Ball, but I just call it Luna-P."

"This is my Topaz-P Ball." Chibi-Kumi added. The two set their balls on the bed. "But, I call her Topaz-P."

"Luna...P?" Luna muttered.

"Topas-P?" Topaz echoed.

"Small Lady." The ball's spoke. They were both femininine voices, but seemed to be staticy, as if being transmitted from far away. "Small Lady!"

"Who are the 'Small Ladies'?" I asked.

"Those are our names." Chibi-Usa said.

"Mummy gave them to us." Chibi-Kumi added. "But she and Mamma just call us 'Usagi' and 'Kumiko'."

"So that means we have Small Lady Usagi." I started, poking the pink-haired girl's nose. "Small Lady Kumiko." I poked her sister's nose. "And then Luna-P and Topaz-P. If it's ok with you two girls, my friends and I will call you 'Chibi-Usa' and Chibi-Kumi'. It'll be confusing with two people with the same name in a group." My eyes flicked down to the chains around the girl's necks, the Silver Crystal and the Gold Crystal's copies. Chibi-Usa also had a key on her necklace. The two gasped, turned away from me and huridly tucked the charms into the sweatshirts. "Is that your house key?"

"This key is very important." Chibi-Usa explained. "We need it to get home."

"Is home nearby? I can take you." The sisters shared a look before turning away from me. I smiled softly, rising to my feet. I shooed Luna and Topaz off the bed. "Come on now, both of you lay down. It's late, it's time for you to get some sleep." The two glanced back at me before reluctantly laying down. I pulled the covers over them and gently tucked them in.

"Do you know if Sailor Moon and Sailor Earth are really strong?" Chibi-Kumi asked, her green eyes peering up into my own. I smiled down at them.

"They're invincible." I told the sisters. "When they're together, there's nothing that can take them down." I then lent forward, pressing gentle kisses to their foreheads. "Now, you two sleep. If you need me, I'll be on the couch." I turned off the lights as I left the room, Luna and Topaz bounding out behind me. I sighed softly, looking out the window. I picked up the home phone and dialed the Tsukino household. Unfortunately, due to the late hour, they were all in bed. The answering machine picked up. "Hi, Miss Tsukino, Mr Tsukino, this is Kumiko. I now you're probably worried about the girls, but I'm just calling to let you know that I foudnd them at the park last night and I bought them home with me. They're safe, I'll come by in the morning to drop them off and pick up Usagi. Goodnight."

TIMESKIP

As promised, I arrived at Usagi's house the next morning, dressed in my school uniform with Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi by my side with Luna on my shoulder. To say Mamo was surprised when he woke up was an understatement, but he understood. He wished me well and headed off to school. When I got to Usagi's house, she seemed to be waiting for me outside. "Chibi-Usa...Chibi-Kumi...you stayed with Kumi last night?" Usagi questioned. "And Luna too?" Ikuko then appeared behind her daughter.

"Oh! You're already here!" She said. "Thank goodness you're home. I was so worried about you girls! My little Chibi-Usa and my little Chibi-Kumi. Are you hungry at all?" Ikuko lead the sisters into the house.

TIMESKIP

I took Usagi to the park before shool. She dumped her bag nd turned away from me when we got there. "Are you ok, Usako?" I asked softly.

"Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Kumi have somethings around their necks that looks just like the Legendary Crystals." Usagi explained.

"Yeah, I saw those too. And Chibi-Usa has a strage key on her necklace also. They told me that the reason that the two of them showed up is because they were looking for Sailor Moon and Sailor Earth's help. Apparently they thing we're the only ones stronger to save their mothers." I could see Usagi's apprehension. I sighed softly, strpping forward. I gently cupped Usagi's cheeks and tilted her head upward, but her eyes shifted away from me. "Let's just wait a little longer, ok? Hey, look at me Usako." Usagi's eyes shyly looked up. "Please, cheer up, Whatever happens, I will be with you." I reached forward and kissed Usagi's forehead. Usagi gave a small smile. "Better?" She nodded, leaning into my touch.

TIMESKIP

After school one day, we went to go watch Ami play chess. She was challenged by the so-called this best chess player in the world, Berthier. The match was going as usual, the two talking back and forth until Ami randomly froze. I tensed in worry, leaning forward in my seat slightly. "AMI!" A voice shouted from beside me. I flicnched, turning to Usagi. "You can do it Ami!" Minako reached up and slapped her hand over Usagi's mouth and pulled her to sit again as people around us shushed her. Usagi however, still tried to shout encouragement.

"Miss! You need to be quet!" An attendant whispered.

"We're so sorry, she won't do it again." Mako said.

"If she continues to interrupt the match, I'm going to have to ask you to leave!"

"I promise, she'll be quiet from now on." Minako said.

"Usagi, you can't do that." I said, "You're going to distract her." We turned back to the match, Usagi fidgeting in her seat as she tried to keep silent. The three of us watched with rapt attention.

"Checkmate." Ami's voice rung through the room, and everyone started to cheer. Berthier then disappeared, and Ami ran off the stage.

"Girls, let's go." I ordered, standing to follow. We tried to push through, but a group of people hindered us. "Move!" I shoved one of them backwards, and the guards shifted, becoming the white, black eyed creatires from the other day. I managed to kick one of them away, but they quickly managed to surround us. Mako and I were back to back, glaring at the creatures. The rest of the auditorium had run off, so they weren't in danger of being harmed.

"Quickly everyone, transform!" Minako said.

"Moon Crystal Power!"

"Jupiter Star Power!"

"Venus Star Power!"

"Earth Crystal Power!"

"Make Up!" We chorused. Vines wrapped around my torso, feet and arms to create my Sailor Uniform, heels and gloves. The planetary symbol for the Earth appeared on my forehead shining green. It changed into my golden tiara with a green gem in the centre. My skirt and cape were brown, whereas the bow's on my skirt and chest are green as well as the cuffs of my gloves and choker. I was also wearing green heels that crossed over the front of my feet and over my ankles. My green bow kept my hair in its high ponytail, letting it fall down my back. My staff appeared in my hand and I gripped it tight.

Now that we were transformed, we easily dispatched of the creatures. "Where's Ami?" Sailor Moon asked, looking around frantically. I twirled my staff once and hit the but of it onto the ground. I closed my eyes as the vibrations of the earth told me what I needed. My eyes snapped open.

"She's this way!" I called, running off. "Follow me!" I could hear the clack of heels as my friends followed me. We soon found Mercury encased in a ball of water, and my mind re-played what happened to Mars.

"Venus Love Me Chain!" Venus shouted, sending her attack at Berthier. The white-haired woman was thrown back. "Now Sailor Moon! Finish her!"

"Moon Princess Halation!" Sailor Moon cried, the light shooting towards Berthier. The woman disappeared. However, much like Koan, her powers didn't stop. Mercury was still trapped.

"I've got this." I said, lifting my staff. "Ivy Trap!" I slammed the end of my staff onto the ground, and thick vines erupted from it, encasing the water sphere. It started to drain the water, but there seemed to be a never ending suply. I yelped, when my vives were thrown off the sphere, landing around us in chunks. I fell to one knee, the destruction of them actually hurting. There was a red glow, and a farmiliar figure appeared.

"It's no use." Rubeus said. "Berthier's water sphere is a torrent that will never run dry." Rubeus seemed to have no other comment, and he and Mercury disappeared into the sky,

"Mercury!" Sailor Moon cried. "MERCURY!"
