Mysterious Pokemon
Part 1
Author Notes: So sorry folks but this ain't canon to the games. But uh...this just became an obsession of an arc that I couldn't stop lol. Just be warned the chapters won't all follow the same pov. Alright? Alright. Let's get it going then-I do not own pokemon.
2nd P.O.V
A yawn escapes you. It's early in the morning, you're tired, yet motivated. "Can you turn around leafeon? I want to make sure I got your tail right." Drawing wasn't really a skill you were talented in.
Especially after waking up at the crack of dawn, however, having a very patient and easy going pokemon posing in front of you made it so much easier. "Le~" It helped that you were good friends with not only said pokemon, but their owner.
Who was currently watching the two of you in amusement. "That mission of yours never seems to end does it?" With a grin you shake your head, before narrowing your eyes. "Nope. There's always something new for me to find. And more importantly new poses to draw...right leafeon?"
To be fair drawing wasn't the real reason you were out and about so early. Let alone at the Diamond clan's village. "Leaf!" According to the good ole professor, rumors were going around about a mysterious, giant monster of a pokemon roaming around.
Something no one's ever seen before, apparently being spotted around the Cobalt Coastlands. Yet despite hours of searching, nothing. Your entire morning wasted with not so much of a trace of what your supposedly looking for. So with no breakfast and the sun high into the sky, you decided to take a break.
And what better way than by stealing the village chief's pokemon for an art session after a bite to eat? It's for the pokedex-you were still working. Ergo no one can get mad or annoyed with you. And the Diamond clan leader DID say you were welcome any time.
Was it any surprise you would take up that offer? "I swear one of these days you're going to steal my partner...and I'll have to track you down." You couldn't help smirking, winking the grass eeveelution.
"Not a bad idea~ Definitely a plan for the future. Sadly though duty calls. I should probably get back out there." With a sigh, you rise to your feet, stretching your hands above your head before putting your supplies away.
The fun and games were over...it was time to get back out there. "Shishi, be careful out there. There's been a spotting of the Misfortune Sisters in the area as well." It really wasn't a surprise that they would be hiding around.
If those irritating bandits weren't trying to ambush you, they were trying to swipe pokemon. They probably heard the rumors like Laventon did. "Guess it's a race to find that mysterious pokemon then. Thanks for the heads up."
Yet, despite the fact that there were three of them and one of you, there was nothing to be worried about. As tough as their pokemon were, they weren't any match for you. Time and time again they've challenged you with a passion for your demise, only for them to flee in shame each battle.
Really putting you on their shit list. "I'll see you later Ada-" You were just about to head for the entrance gates to start round two of your search, only to pause. Hearing the sound of flapping wings.
"?" Together you and Adaman look up, seeing a starly fly your way with a letter in its beak. "Hold that thought..." You were really hoping this wasn't an ADDITIONAL mission for you to carry out. As much as you liked exploring and working on the pokedex, these extra missions and requests liked to stock up fast.
On some occasions you would be working on about a dozen or so tasks that would leave you out in the wilderness for weeks. Especially if it involved research on a specific hostile pokemon. Today, you were keeping your fingers crossed.
Praying that the captain wasn't going to overwork you like the poor rookie you really were. "What's it say?" However, as you scan over the message you found yourself confused and irritated.
Well...it wasn't an additional job...or rather the one you were expecting. "Seems I need to head back to Jubilife immediately..." He meets your gaze, just as confused. "What for?" As much as you loved the captain, you wished she would be more specific, or let Rei send a letter in her stead.
Save you on asking a lot of questions to yourself. "Guess they caught Clover with an unknown pokemon. They want me to come check it out and see if I recognize it." You highly doubted it was the one you've been searching for.
According to your connections here in the Diamond clan, this pokemon your searching for was massive. At least seven feet tall, and apparently bulky too. Easily towering over the huts these people call home.
There's no way Clover could've tried carrying something around that big, let alone near town. Still no time like the present, it was time to investigate. "If Clover's locked up then I'll accompany you." You tilt your head, furrowing your brow.
"Don't you have other duties to attend to?" His face turned stern. "I do, however, if Clover is causing trouble, then it's my responsibility to deal with her." You kept forgetting she was a former member of Adaman's group.
The girl and you never got along-for obvious reasons, but she was seriously hostile, downright aggressive when compared to her two sister bandits. "If that's what you want, I won't stop you. Let's take a ride."
While Adaman summons Wyrdeer, you take out your ponyta, both steeds more than willing to take the two of you to your destination. "Time is of the essence." You were hoping you could figure out what pokemon it was...and that it was a less aggressive one.
xXxxXXxxxxXxXXxXxXxxxXxXxXxX
Well...you got your wish. "Are you kidding me?" You do recognize the pokemon. "What's wrong my dear girl? What is this little one called?" And technically it's not aggressive. "Of all the things that stupid bandit had to grab." You were pulling your hair.
You couldn't believe this. "Shishi?" You felt concerned gazes sent your way, and Adaman's hand on your shoulder. "She had to abduct a baby kangaskhan..." Already your ears were starting to hurt. The poor thing was crying.
Wailing as Rei and Akari tried keeping her in place on the table. "A...kangaskhan?" Dread was filling your stomach, but you had to ignore it for the moment. Priority right now was getting the little pokemon calmed down.
"Do we know if she's injured?" The professor offers her a weak smile. "We've tried to examine it, but it keeps flailing, making it difficult to tell." Ok...one step at a time Shishi. You could do this. You've dealt with this pokemon before in your previous time.
Why it's in this region of all places, you couldn't guess. But again you couldn't worry about it right now. "Let her go guys. All you're doing is freaking her out." Everyone looks at you like your insane. "This thing is crazy strong Shishi!" You were well aware.
You're not backing down on this. "Do it." You bring out the first pokemon that comes to your mind that's in your satchel. "Blissey!" As soon as they release the baby pokemon, you summon yours. "Blis!" It only takes a glance for your poke-companion to see what's going on.
And is completely on the same page as you. Together the two of you in sync slowly approach the tiny kangaskhan. Who at this point wasn't shrieking, but rather sniffling. Not calm, but not going into hysterics like before.
However like an active volcano, all it would take is one thing to set the poor thing off. "Hey Baby Kanga...easy does it blissey." The happiness pokemon nods her head in understanding. This was a delicate situation.
One where you unfortunately had to go to your knees for. Slowly, the two of you advance, keeping calm smiles and raised hands to show you mean no harm. When you're finally within hand's reach, you coo softly.
Watching as she flinches for a second before realizing you were gently rubbing her head. "Shhh. Shh...you're ok." Quiet whimpers and clawed hands move your way, giving you permission to pick her up. "Oof." Baby kanga cuddles close as you take in her weight.
"Blissey, grab my bag, time to do a medical examination." Much to everyone's surprise, it was smooth sailing with you taking control of the situation. "Blis!" A few minutes of poking and prodding, and thankfully there's not a wound to be found on the poke-infant.
The only thing wrong was her being separated from her mother and being scared shitless from a bunch of people surrounding and restraining her. "Such a good pokemon. Upsy daisy!" There wasn't much you could do about the mother problem.
Frankly you were terrified of that particular issue, but you apparently were a remedy for the lack of trust. Baby Kanga was pretty much glued to your side, refusing to take even a step away from you. At the very least it was a good sign because that was typical behavior for her species' age.
Having a maternal pokemon made things a lot easier too. "Nappy time sweetie!" Since being abducted, the poke-child felt safe and secure. Meaning the next priority would be nap time. "Sing it to lala land blissey. I'll be back in a bit." You needed to talk to Clover. Now!
to be continued
Author Notes: As annoying as villains can be, I do like how our bandit sisters were incorporated in the game. They're random lol and can avoid them-though I am curious to see how the three of them met and became the bandits in the first place.
Questions for another day. But that's not important lol. Why? Because that is it for now folks. Thank you all so much for reading! If you like the series so far please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a crap ton to see the support. Tchao for now everyone!
