A Prelude to Something
Four years had passed.
I had to learn to walk once more, as well as speak. My tongue and my vocal chords were still new despite my mind knowing how to use them. So readjustment was needed for me to properly regain these abilities back.
Yeah, I might be exaggerating on that, those are not abilities.
The existence of magic is not surprising of course. Once I get isekai'd, I knew it would be a fantasy world. And the magic system here is pretty basic as far as it goes, elements and chants and such. You know, your typical isekai fantasy magic system. But what is not normal is the existence of..."monsters".
They're called "Mamono" here, and after getting to know what they do, it finally clicked. Mamono was a term used in a fictional work done by Kenkou Cross or KC as we call them. The work is titled Monster Girls Encyclopedia, and it is as what it says. A series of encyclopedia containing information of monster girls.
After the new Demon Lord took over, she used the massive amount of energy she got from becoming the newest Demon Lord and changed all monsters into monster girls or Mamono as they are referred to. This is because she sees wars as meaningless and claims that she loved the humans.
Monster Girls, in this world, aims to rape and copulate with the men of this world–no, male kind as a whole. Because age matters little to them if the existence of Sabbath Cult is anything to go by. In my point of view, from someone who came from a different world, this was a horrific discovery.
Because I am not one of the people who would like to get assaulted by these Mamono. In fact, I was one of those who actively refused to accept such a world and read works that go against this ideal of theirs.
So imagine my horror when I heard the story from a discussion between father and mother. I was pale the whole day. And you might say that I was overreacting. I assure you, I'm not. Especially not after finding out that I still don't have any traces of mana.
Which means that I was incredibly susceptible to an energy called "Demon Energy", the cause of all the transformation of the monsters. This energy can corrupt malekind to become Incubi, and drive them mad with amplified sex drive. And if I get so much as a whiff, I'll instantly turn into an Incubi.
And I won't be myself anymore, I would lose my mind to the endless and restless pleasure.
Such notion scares me.
I find myself sweating at the thought, why did this happen? Why was I born magicless?
Being magicless also means I can't enhance my physical capabilities nor can I break my limits. There's no room to grow, my limit is merely peak human strength. I could defeat a few lesser Mamono, sure but anything above that would spell my doom.
It's just...
Okay, calm down. I'm still young, I just need to keep developing my body until I can use magic. No pressure, your thoughts are too negative.

"Izon?" Mother called out, I blinked as she came into view. "Spacing out, aren't we?"
Her smile is the same as always, kind, gentle and loving. From what I've heard, she had tried to conceive a child for two times, and they both failed for unknown reasons. But third time's the charm and I came into this world, imagine how happy she was. Happy as she is, I think she dotes on me too much.
In this world, I am known as Izon. Izon Erinson. Mother is Sera Erinson and father is Ehson Erinson, mother was a former Order Knight while father was a former Adventurer, specifically a mage. They met through a quest father had taken to escort a noble whilst mother as an Order Knight simply followed orders from her superior.
And after spending time together, they fell in love and married. Mother got off with a retirement and father was the same, except father had more retirement benefits since as Adventurers, they're more than likely die in quests they took. Fortunately, the Order didn't take any sort of offense when mother decided to retire and she received all the benefits of retirement.
Being a low-ranked knight has its uses, she won't get actively hunted or stalked by the Order.
"Mother." I called. "Will I be able to use magic?"
Her eyes widened for a second before she forced out a smile, I immediately knew what it meant. "Of course, you'll be able to use it once you grow up so quickly grow up and become strong, okay?"
I blinked before looking down. "I'll try."
I didn't know what will become of me once I reached adulthood.
Next chapter is going to be longer so you guys will have to wait. And yes, it's going to be a series of timeskip but I wanted to expand on the characters more especially the parents so expect quality family time.
