Adamant for Adaman

Banishment

Part 1

Author Notes: Time for arguably the most surprising, yet upsetting situation I've seen to date (I loved it...it was soooo good) in a pokemon game that i've seen to date. Or...rather it's been awhile since I was steaming to the point of writing an arc on this. I do not own Pokemon.

2nd P.O.V

This...couldn't be happening. "You are the reason these pokemon have gone on rampages." No! No it wasn't you. "You thought you could take advantage of the problems you caused, sneaking into our ranks." That wasn't true.

You didn't cause this! Sure, you fell from the sky, but that wasn't your fault. "How can you accuse her like this!? After all she's done!" At least Adaman and Irida tried helping you. But, you knew their words would not break through to Kamado.

From the moment you stepped foot into his office that first time you knew he didn't like you. "All she's ever done is aid our clans and this village! Thinking she would do this is absolutely ridiculous. You were the one that wanted her to handle our frenzied nobles in the first place!"

Like everyone else he was just waiting for the perfect excuse to get rid of you. It was kinda sad now that you thought about it. The people in your corner were people that you didn't even interact with half as much as those here in the village.

While your commander, the person who has been watching you this whole time, the one person who promised your safety...didn't give a lick about what happened to you. "Can you prove her innocence then!? Prove that this girl is not the cause of this!?" There was no way to actually do that.

At least as far as you knew. When you first came to this world there was only one goal in your mind. Research all the pokemon in this region. It went hand in hand with trying to survive in this ancient era. You didn't expect coming here, forced to adapt to a world so different than yours.

Let alone fight a bunch of giant bloodthirsty pokemon. How COULD you prove this wasn't your doing? And it seemed the two clan leaders were thinking the same. But this time Irida spoke out first. Not...that you could really hear her protest.

You couldn't hear it over the pounding of your heart beating against your chest. Not that anything really mattered whether you heard or not. Again, their arguments went in one ear and out the other for your commander. "You are hereby exiled until you can prove your innocence."

It...was a death sentence. He honestly didn't think anyone would stand a chance alone out there, let alone you. "And unless the Diamond and Pearl clan wish to be considered enemies of Jubilife village, there will be no aid for you." But perhaps the commander wasn't paying as much attention to you as you thought.

At the very least he underestimated you. "Are you insane?!" Your head was starting to hurt. "Are you seriously threatening us with a war!?" Your heart was in pieces. "I will not change my mind on the matter. Captain Cyllene will escort the traitor to the entrance of the village." Traitor?

Is that what he thought? Regardless...It was back to square one for you. "You-!" No home to call your own. Rage boiled to the surface as the voices around you rose. It felt like your entire being was being filled with fire.

You couldn't stand this any longer. "Enough!" Everyone looks to you, shocked by your outburst. You take a few deep breaths, trying to keep what composure you have. It was difficult...but you manage. Sending a glare towards your superior.

"Very well Kamado...I'll leave. But give me till nightfall." He meets your gaze. His expression was the same as when you first came in. "Why should I?" You wonder what you look like right now.

Because right now all you knew was for the fact that you were shaking, and glaring. "Because I don't intend on coming back, even WHEN I prove my innocence." You refuse to look Adaman and Irida's way. As of this moment you couldn't afford to.

Not with what you had to say. "I'd rather get killed out in the wilderness then come crawling back. And if I'm being forced to leave I'm taking what's MINE. What i've Earned with my own hard work. That is the least you OWE me."

Out of context you were sounding like a girlfriend going through a bad break up. The comparison would've been hilarious if it didn't feel like you were falling from the sky again. But hey...here you are.

"Until nightfall. Should you ever step foot within sight of the village without proof you will be killed." All you could do was smile. So full of bitterness and sarcasm. Right now you would take it over tears.

Things got to get done. "Fine by me. But don't expect me to help you. I don't know why the sky's gone ominous but I didn't do it. When things get worse, don't think I'll come to your rescue. For once...get the job done yourself." There.

You said it. And now, it was time to do your walk of shame. "Shishi wait!" You turn around and march off, ignoring the shouts behind you. "You two stay here. There is still much to discuss!" Don't look their way, you'll break down and that couldn't happen yet. "Shishi!"

Keep walking...it was better for them not to get involved with you. "My dear girl what's wrong!?" You had barely made it down the first set of stairs before getting ambushed by the good old professor. "Laventon." Honestly it was perfect timing.

"Do you have any paper and a pencil?" He looks at you, confused, but thankfully pulls out the requested items. Handing them to you. "What did Kamado say?" You don't answer his question, instead writing down a list.

For a moment there's tense silence as you do so. Only when you finish do you look his way and speak. Making sure to present the paper to him as you do so. Just hold strong a little longer. "Head to the pastures for me. Have the owner give you the pokemon I have listed here. Then have her release the rest."

He takes the paper, blinking as the confusion grows more. "Wh-what?!" Your feet move again, heading downstairs. It taking a solid minute for him to rush down in an attempt to catch up to you. But you don't stop for him.

Already reaching the doors to head outside as he bolts to the final step on the staircase. "H-hey!" Looking up, it's clear that time is ticking. It was hard to tell day from night now that the sky was covered in demonic hues of red, green and purple.

But you saw starly still out and about...for how long you weren't sure. So you pick up the pace, unfortunately hearing whispering conversations as you head straight for you hom-the building you were staying at.

"Shishi! By the great lands wait!" The poor old man was gasping for air, desperately running towards you. "What has happened!? Why give me this list!?" Rei and Akari were also sprinting their way, just as clueless about the situation.

Well...best to get this done and over with. "Because I'm being exiled. I have till nighttime to gather all of my things." Points for you for not stuttering or allowing your voice to crack. "WHAT?!" Not that it helped with the reactions you're now dealing with.

Guilt was starting to form, the least you could do was give a short, simple explanation for your odd behavior. The professor deserved that for all the kindness he's shown. He was the first person you met in this strange, scary place.

He was like the crazy uncle you never had...he didn't deserve you being rude. "I'm sorry for not answering you before Laventon, but I'm on a time crunch. It's not going to take long for the captain to show up and walk me out. If you could get my pokemon situated it would mean a lot to me."

You reach out your hand. Trying to quell your shaking as you grasp at the door. "B-but why release so many of them?" It was a good question. To be honest you didn't write a big list for him. You already had a team of six in your bag, though you could've easily carried more.

That damn habit from your time being the only reason why you had so many pokemon in the pastures. "The pokemon I listed were the ones I felt I needed most to survive out there. The rest I wasn't going to have stay locked up on someone else's property." It was somewhat petty, you would admit.

Again habit, as well as for research was why you had captured so many pokemon. It helped that they were able to be of use being loaned out to the various villagers here while you were venturing...but with your banishment there was no need for that anymore.

They were not going to take advantage of you and your pokemon after all this. You weren't going to enslave them, never did in all honesty, however there was no need for all of them to come with you. If some wanted to still follow you after being released then fine, but otherwise they can return to the wild.

No matter what Kamado was not going to use them to further advance this place. "You'll come back though right?" Rei and Akari still had hope in their gazes. A huge shift from when they first met you.

"No. Even if I figure out what caused all this chaos, I'm not returning."

To be continued

Author Notes: It has begun! Time to give me the well deserved-well wanted alternate ending. Screw the village, I shall thrive living as a hermit! Without Volo's or Cognita forcing us to play hero. So this will be fun.
