Aurthor Note: after a whole year, I'm back. I'm really sorry for how long it has been. I would go on and explain to why it took me a while to update, but I'm not worthy of doing so. I have no excuse. just know that I haven't given up on this story. with the My Hero Academia reaching its conclusion, there is much to be caught up on. I have several means to make a coherent story with the plots of MHA and Marvel. though, my goal with this fanfic is to make a good, intertwined world that could be the perfect fusion of both franchises. I really hope that I at least given just that with the updates that I slowly try to make with my time. I love both Marvel and MHA, even with all their flaws. after seeing so many other good fanfics being left unfinished, I didn't want my story to be considered as one. so, I do hope you enjoy this chapter, because I still got a long way ahead me.
for Protocol's sake, I do not own both mediums. please support the official producers of both franchises. and please leave a comment on how you feel.
Chapter 8 - They're Here

"So, this is what Frank sent you?", asked Forged as he and Trickshot discussed the reveal of the Punisher's last report.
In the Quinjet, Forge, Trickshot, and Odin discuss the recent discoveries in Finland. From what Black Knight had listed off in his part of the report, they were able to fend off increased government forces that were mobilizing in more urban areas. Unfortunately, it was a distraction to allow the Hydra officials to evacuate all scientists in the facility they were meant to infiltrate. Alongside the scientists, the Hydra agents hidden among the government's law enforcement were able to retrieve the Zodiac relic from a rebel station and send it to a safe house deep in the capital city of Helsinki. Regaining the Aquarius Gauntlets is now a top priority for the two SHIELD appointed vigilantes. After the victory of the countryside, the two made their way to the city and planned to infiltrate during the night. However, someone else had other plans.
The Black Panther. A title and identity fit only for those who inherited the role as ruler of Wakanda. In Finland of all places. It's no secret that the meteor that hit a specific area in Africa fourteen years ago had made a major mark in the continent's history. When that huge space rock crashed into the Earth, the geology of the continent's eastern region changed. In the year 2160, new mountains formed, and rivers were born. It has seemed that the wildlife had a rebirth as most of Africa's fauna gained population growth. However, tragedy had struck once the reconstruction had begun.
Three months after the impact, purple fog had been a frequent occurrence in the region in between Ethiopia and Kenya. It doesn't affect the plants and animals negatively, but it was a whole other story for the people living there. Through a collaboration with the SHIELD organization and African governments close to the region, investigations were set up to discover how people fair to these new conditions. Turns out not so good. Reports of failing immune systems and organ failures erupted from every corner of the land. Many were dying from a mysterious illness that the locals believed it's a curse of the purple fog. Any who were exposed to it for so long are fated for death.
The governments of Ethiopia and Kenya had agreed to a full quarantine of any region of land that touched their borders. In the first month, the two countries suffered major instability in economy, social infrastructure, and public health. So much so that SHIELD had to send more assets to manage the growing mess and avoid the beginning of another civil war epidemic in the African continent. After the summer of that year, the number of deaths by the mysterious illness had lessened. Unfortunately, the number of missing people had started to grow immensely. Investigations had become more frequent and concern for the lost people of the quarantine ate at the citizens of the regions. It had become so drastic that Director Carter herself had to arrive on site and aid in the undertaking.
As Carter made leeway in restoring power to the local governments, she found several connections that tied the missing people with those who have been reported to have survived the illness. The hospital records confirmed this as multiple families came forward with admittances that their relatives, young and old, haven't arrived home after being declared cured. After much tracking and coming through surveillance systems implanted since the beginning of the quarantine, new sightings tell of groups of people who journey from their homes in Kenya and Ethiopia to an isolated valley region where the border ends at a massive riverbank. With their destination set, the director and a small squad of SHIELD agents ride to the valley to find the missing Africans. What they ended up finding, did more than just change the game.
After three hours of trailing through jungles and plains, Director Carter and her team had ventured straight into what could be considered as paradise. Glorious rock structures that makeshift as temples and capitals. Greenery that complemented the streets and homes. Cars and boats sharing in entwined and harmonized roads. Exotic animals domesticated and walked next to groups of children. It truly looked like paradise on Earth. It was not surprising to her that such a place had a very reactive security system and a fast infantry of guards to respond to it.
In the first five minutes of being in this new civilization, the security forces responded in kind. African men in blue aimed their guns. African women in red readied their spears. The civilians behind them crowd around the scene as the SHIELD agents take a protective position around their director. With the help of a translator among their group, Carter was able to request an audience with the captain of the security force in front of her. One of the red dressed women stepped up and addressed themselves as the leader of the unit of female warriors. She was tall, at least an inch taller than the director.
"I am the captain of the unit and head of the royal guard. You are to return where you came now. If you remain, imprisonment is all that awaits you.", enforced the female leader with all her authority.
The SHIELD agents were getting nervous. Some of them weren't planning on being put on a life sentence just for doing a little discovering. They stopped their thinking as they saw their Director standing right in front of them. Acting as a barrier keeping the spears away from her agents, Carter took the little African dialect she learned and brought her full point across.
"I am Director Margaret Carter, leader of the SHIELD. I am here to perform an investigation on the missing people of Kenya and Ethiopia that have been sighted to migrate to this point of the region. The SHIELD organization only wishes to return them to their concerned families. They have done enough mourning for those they've already lost. All they asked of us was to find those that ran away from their hospitals.", affirmed Director Carter as she stood in front of the Captain. The spearhead is a mere inch from the Director's stomach.
"I know you know that they are here. So, I'll ask you this, why would they wish to return?", asked the Dora Milaje captain. The SHIELD Director thought about her answer, and she needed to stay on neutral territory. Less she endangers her squad and fails to secure a diplomatic mood with the law enforcement of this newly established tribe.
Tribe, however, wasn't the right term for it. With her reincarnated memories, she obviously knows what these fierce warriors are trying to protect. These people, this city, and this newborn cultural society. Not to mention the location and coordinates where they stand. In front of her, this will one day become the technologically advanced nation of Wakanda.
But how? And when? For now, the what.
"For family maybe. Homesickness. Or possibly, for a temporary rendezvous to retrieve some family who are aware of this place. I would understand that you most definitely have tried. Miss Eola Mortsang.", answered Director Carter.
The women in red that were behind their captain tensed up. They looked to their leader who's eyes narrowed at the foreigner. With all remaining silent, said foreigner continued talking.
"Miss Eola Mortsang, you lived in the southern Kenyan city of Nairobi all your life. Along with your late husband, Rewsaw Mortsang. From your medical history, both of you and him were infected with the mysterious illness that comes with the purple fog. To make it even more severe, you were seven months pregnant.", explained Director Carter. She was going to go further, but the sound of the bottom end of the spear handle hitting the stone road stopped her.
"That's enough, I'm not even going to ask how you know any of that.", demanded the captain with some edge.
"We're SHIELD. We're supposed to know." Said Carter like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Both women were now staring at each other. One side with coldness and the other with heat. The Director was about to try to level with the Dora warrior. Until, more Doras had arrived with two unique people that they escorted. One by one, all around the scene knelt to one knee in fealty. The only ones left standing were the SHIELD agents and the Dora Captain. It was then that the Director saw them. The most important people in this man-made paradise. A tall African man in a black and purple military attire with a panther pelt wrapped him. Locking arms with him, a curvaceous African woman dressed in vibrant purple and gold dress.
"Captain Eola, who are our guests? They should have been stopped by the border tribe before stepping foot on the city.", questioned the newly arrived man.
"My apologies, my king. We were performing our mid-day routines, and the motion sensors still haven't been repaired yet since the attack last week. We were only able to catch up to them thanks to our informants in Kenya.", informed Eola to her royals.
"Enough excuses, Eola. We can't afford to have a weak infrastructure in both our security and military. Those raiders plan to rally against us. We can't appear weak to any enemy.", scolded the queen.
"Yes, my queen.", said a solemn Eola. She would then stand to her King's right. Said King turned his gaze to the group of foreigners and their leader.
At first glance, the Director could tell that the man in front of her held an air of dominance. As if the only home he ever knew could only be kept safe as long as it is being carried by his shoulders. Something she could relate to, unfortunately. But it was his eyes that told of two things that this royal held to high regards. Power and diligence. It is important to be on good terms with this King if SHIELD and Wakanda are to have good relations.
The Royals escorted the Director and her SHIELD agents to the grand chamber. The SHIELD agents and Dora Milaje were instructed to guard the outer entrance. This would ensure that the Director and the King with his queen can speak on neutral grounds. There, they discussed the matters of the missing people investigation. It took many hours, but the two sides were able to come to an agreement. Although, the terms and conditions of such arrangements were kept secret from the public knowledge as well as those not in the royal family. This meeting would be what allowed SHIELD and the newly developing Wakanda to have some form of cooperation. One will not interfere with the other, nor will they interfere with the former. It was until Finland happened.
"Okay, so how do we deal with this Forge?", asked Trickshot.
"I'm going to have to make a call to Peggy. But, she's probably still going through negotiations with the Icelandic President. So I'm going to have to send this directly to her myself. And since the current matter here in Iceland is all cleared up, you two are coming with me.", informed Forge.
"I'm only going because I need a lift off this island. I say I deserve a week off. Besides, it doesn't really sound like Frank is asking for help.", reasoned Trickshot who took a seat at the copilot chair.
"He is not wrong for rest. Mjolnir can sense the exhaustion that the Archer carries. Perhaps I can lend assistance to your SHIELD warriors.", offered Odin, raising Mjolnir proudly.
"Tempting, but no go. You're not a pro-hero, so no unsanctioned heroism. Nor are you affiliated with SHIELD. But, a meeting with Peggy should change that.
"Very well. After one last night in these lands I've been calling home, I will go with you and join SHIELD. May one day through our cooperation, you brave Midgardian warriors aid me in returning to Asgard.", proclaimed back to Asgard.", Odin considered it logically.
"Awesome, we'll stay on the island for the rest of the day and we'll make enough time to get back to the Helicarrier. Hopefully, Frank and Percy can keep the king entertained till then.", explained Forge optimistically.
"For the longest I've known Frank, the one word you don't use on him is Entertained.", said a grumpy Trickshot.
"Verily, come my friends. The festival is about to commence. Many sweetmeats and fresh meads are waiting for us.", proclaimed an excited Odin.
Spinning his hammer exuberantly, the young god flew back into town to enjoy the grand feast. The two SHIELD agents watched in mild amusement as they walked out of the quinjet. It was odd to see so much excitement and joy in someone who was supposed to be a universal level being. At least, that's what Trickshot believed. Forge reminded him that this Odin that they know now is still just a teenager and still has yet to be proven worthy of what will one day be called the Odin Force. Such a thought was still unbelievable to the both of them that the current Norse pantheon is eons behind than the one they once knew back in their original Earths.
Upon their pondering, Trickshot was then reminded of their own youths that also have their own affairs to deal with. He wondered if those kids are having any progress in their objectives. Not just as bodyguards for that green-haired boy, but as students in some hero school. Even with a hero license, he believes those kids will show this Earth exactly the kind of heroes they truly are. He and everyone back on the Helicarrier just hope that they don't break any laws or bloody their hands.
… Meanwhile at USJ Facility. April 24, 2174 …
"EAT IT BITCH", roared Sabertooth as he delivered a strong jab to the jaw of Tomura. This was followed by hard kicks and evasive maneuvering that led to clawed jabs. The crusty skinned villain muffled a groan from the impacts of the clawed fists that pelted his upper body and lower jaw with bruises. The action burst a vein and blood was all that he tasted as he angrily swiped an open hand across the Canadian's upper body.
"SHIT", miffed Sabertooth as the decay quirk ate away at all of his coat and a large portion of his chest skin. Ripping the ruined coat off his body, the young Canadian revealed the sight of his injuries healing themselves. Tomura was briefly surprised at witnessing a healing factor beating his decay quirk. He supposed he'll just have to keep disintegrating the annoying foreigner in front of him.
"Come on, is that all you have running for you? I figured the leader of a horde of ugly rejects wouldn't be a one trick pony. But like every other bub I've met so far in this weird country, you're just dogshit.", said a grinning Sabertooth as he circled the weakling who's anger was bubbling at this point.
"I'll kill you. I'll kill you, damn SHIELD dog.", said a frustrated Tomura as he ran forward to the savage Canadian. It had become a close-quarter battle between claws and disintegration. A claw swipe is dodged. A touch is blocked. Despite his efforts, the scrawny villain knew that this was a losing battle. The foreigner was better skilled in fighting and anticipated every move he made. He might as well have been in slow motion in the eyes of the SHIELD youth. His on the fly analysis ceased when he felt Kurogiri warping him out of the fight and next to him. The next second, Nomu had thrown the American teen to where Tomura used to be. From the small crater, Eddie Brock pulled himself up and shook his head rapidly to regain stability. The two foreign youths noticed that the three villains had started to circle around them and they looked at each other. With a nod, they knew their positions.
"Back to back.", commanded Creed. The Canadian and American were now facing opposite sides, their backs nearly touching. Kurogiri then summoned several warp portals all of each in the teens' perivale vision. Tomura's hands rapidly pop out to try to tag any of his opponents. The foreigners dodged and backhanded the strikes. It came to the point where Eddie grabbed the dry hand and pulled out the annoying pest from his safe little void.
Kurogiri tried to pull him back, but the American swung the little man away from the portal and threw him to the ground. The action caused a bone in Tomura's arm to break. The scrawny man breathed as he tried to get up, but he was then pinned further down by the Canadian. "For a first debut as a villain, you could have done this better.", mocked Creed. At this point, the dry skinned villain was seething and at his limit. The slashes were way too deep and these SHIELD youths are more trouble than they were meant to be. If what he learned from Kurogiri about how difficult the other two SHIELD youths from entrance were, then these two cemented the fact that these foreigners are way too dangerous to let live.
"NOMU, KILL THEM.", Tomura ordered with so much hate. The hulking beast immediately zoomed at the only worthy opponent it recognized. Eddie noticed last second and threw Creed away from the approaching monster as it rammed into the black suited teen. Kurogiri quickly warped the dry skin villain to his side. The monster tried to crush the muscular teen in a bearhug, but the youth slipped right through the big arms. With the opening presented to him, the American turned his hands into long scythe-like blades and slashed the beast's stomach deeply. To his surprise, he witnessed the wound quickly healed and two fists smashed him into the ground.
Eddie tries to reform to get out of the crater he's in, but the fists just keep coming. "Screw it.", said Eddie as he transformed into a treading stream of Klyntar mass and pierced through the upper body of the Nomu. Reforming into black suit, he checks to see if destroying the heart would put it down. Apparently it didn't, for the Nomu healed the gaping hole in its body. "Oh come on.", said Eddie to himself. He looks to his right to see Sabertooth twisting left and right to ease the stress on his back after getting thrown.
"How about a little warning next time, Slime.", said Sabertooth with irritation.
"Next time, I'm just going to let you get hit.", said Eddie tiredly.
"Yeah well, from what I saw. You and the guys have gotten a bit more acquainted with the head freaks here. Mind filling me in?", queried Sabertooth.
"You didn't interrogate the villains you were with?", questioned Eddie.
"I was having too much fun. Now hurry up and tell me. It's looking this way.", demanded Sabertooth as Nomu regained concentration on the two of them.
"We know smokey dapper over there is their getaway plan. You already met dry hands who can basically turn people to dust by touching. The big guy is their main weapon. He's supposed to kill All-Might.", elaborated Eddie.
"Well, can it?", asked Sabertooth as he readied his stance. Unknown to the American teen, the Canadian's mind was running through a possible idea that could work. Hopefully.
"How am I supposed to know? What I do know is that nothing I can do can kill it.", informed Eddie as he was going through everything possible he was willing to do to take Nomu down. But with his classmates watching, the list was short.
"Have you tried eating it? Maybe the big ass exposed brain sticking out of its head.", suggested Sabertooth nonchalantly.
"I'm not eating anyone during a school day. The teachers know, but not our classmates.", shot back Eddie as he refused to go that route while others were around him. To him, the staff will just be very alarmed and cautious with the carnivorous diet of his Klyntar side. And what will the class think? That their classmate is some secret cannibal.
"Seriously?! Look at that thing. It's barely human. I doubt anyone will care about what happens to it.", argued Sabertooth as he was now more certain to pull off his plan. With or without Eddie's consent.
"That's not the point and besides, its healing is way better than mine. You remember that.", countered Eddie, annoyed.
Just as Eddie thought that Creed was about to argue back, his emotional sonar quirk informed him that the Canadian teen was about to do something maliciously. Sabertooth then pounced toward the Nomu on all four and dodged a downward punch by sliding in between its massive legs. With his claws, he slashed off chunks of the back of the knees. With the monster lowering, he jumped on top of its head and stabbed his claws into the exposed brain. With a heave, he tore a chunk out of the cranium.
Before Nomu could reach for Sabertooth, Eddie pulled the Canadian teen back to his side with two black web lines. Before he could chastise his teammate for his loose cannon actions, the latter splattered the brain chunks across the American's face. This made the young Brock panic and frantically wipe some of the brain material off. Looking at his hands, blood and pink, meaty bits were all he saw as the rustic scent reached his nose area. His heartbeat had become more audible and the drumming had only made his own mind numb to anything else.
The young Eddie Brock was then locked in a trance as a small hole slowly formed on the mouth area of his black mask. A long pink tendril snaked out of the opening and began licking off the bloody brain chunks.
With his black mask clean, the small opening then got bigger as tears and rips started to form in the same area. Finally, the mouth formed and opened to reveal rows of sharp white teeth with the tongue wiggling wildly.
Sabertooth watched in satisfaction as his teammate was finally letting the real animal out of his cage. The now carnivorous Eddie Brock was shaking with excitement and frustration. For so long, he has not tasted brain this good before. The Canadian got closer and got the slobbering American's attention.
"Hey, Venom. You hungry?", asked Sabertooth with an enthusiastic grin. A smile so wicked that it bared sharp canines.
"Yeah, I'm starving.", growled Eddie as he now responded to being called Venom.
"You see that big ugly purple thing? The villains are gonna use it to kill All-Might.", said Sabertooth as he pointed at Nomu.
"Yeah.", said Venom, already knowing that detail.
"Then, they're gonna use it to kill Green Bean.", explained Sabertooth as he pointed to the top of the stairs.
"No.", growled Venom disapprovingly. He didn't like the sound of that.
"And after, they're gonna use it to kill Frog Girl.", explained Sabertooth with a much more sinister grin.
"NO.", shrieked Venom angrily. He absolutely hated the sound of that.
"Then how about this, Venom. You kill that bastard before All-Might gets here and he is all yours to eat.", explained Sabertooth his grand plan to use Venom to defeat the villains.
With no room to refuse, Venom turned to Nomu and began to morph into a taller, more muscular version of himself. He pounded the ground and pounded his chest. With his newly formed toothy mouth, he let out a blood curdling roar that echoed throughout the facility.
"RRAAAAAAAAAAAGH", roared Venom as he leaped toward Nomu and sent long piercing tentacles into its body. The tentacles then traveled through the augmented body as they punctured the lungs, heart, and the all so delicious brain. Damaging the Nomu's brain actually reset the monster's behavior. Without its cranium, it lacked the cognitive awareness to respond to commands and thus couldn't move or retaliate. The massive black tendrils then lifted the monster up in the air, throwing it a few feets up. Sprouting back his wings, he shot straight into Nomu and brought it higher. With a solid chomp into Nomu's neck, the carnivorous American dive bomb himself and his prey back into the ground.
Quickly webbing the purple monster to the new crater, Venom pounced on Nomu and started to dig in on the first real, meaty meal he had in years. With teeth and claws, the monstrous Klyntar hybrid was slowly disfiguring and mutilating the freak of nature. Unknowingly or uncaringly, the ravenous American wasn't aware that this was being seen by those around him. Tomura shigaraki and Kurogiri were surprised by the SHIELD youth's unwelcomed transformation. The hand covered villain was livid and yet in awe. This foreign kid in front of him was once calm spoken and had a stoic professional way of fighting. Now, he was ferocious and animalistic. He had somehow become stronger and even had the gaul to start eating his new All-Might killing pet. The dark warp villain calculated the possible outcomes of their current situation. From what he remembered from the last time he spoke to his master, he was informed that the SHIELD organization could become quite the wildcard in the future. Though they were tasked to eliminate any faculty and students that stood with All-Might, they must also keep in mind any other unpredictable variables to their operation. And as always, the master was right. If not more so. First were the two foreign boys from the entrance, especially the one with brown hair and green eyes. And now this one who turns into a monster to rival their Nomu. whether it be by the students, Eraserhead, or the SHIELD youths, one thing is for certain. All-Might will arrive soon.
"Tomura, we must leave immediately. All-Might will be here any moment. We've lost today.", alerted Kurogiri. This caused the hands covered villain to scratch the left side of his neck frantically.
"NO. NOMU CAN STILL FIGHT. WE JUST GOT TO-", Tomura was then interrupted for a second time by the feral Canadian who tackled him.
"Think you can just forget about me, bub?", mocked Sabertooth as he once again sent a series of vicious punches repeatedly. To the villain, it felt worse now. It was like being bashed by two bricks. Frustrated with the foreigner on top of him, Tomura with all his strength reached and grabbed the Canadian's neck.
Sabertooth could feel it. The skin was breaking down too quickly and his regeneration was doing its best to keep the decay away from his windpipe by giving everything to the muscle surrounding it. It was going to be close, but Sabertooth wasn't going to let some scrawny punk do him in. Quickly, he grabbed said punk's neck and let his claws sink in the fake hands covering it. Soon enough with a strong enough grip, the claws had eventually pierced the skin. Now, it was a game of cry uncle. Who was going to let go first? Whoever did would, because they would be dead then. Both snarling at one another. Their lives literally in the hands of the other. The claws were about to reach the windpipe of the villain, but the decay touch was getting closer to destroying the windpipe of the SHIELD youth. It was about to end in a mutually destructive tie, but someone else got involved.
Suddenly, Kurogiri swooped in and scooped up the bleeding Tomura from Sabertooth. The scrawny pale villain was clutching his neck to stop the bleeding, but his rage wouldn't be smothered by a near death experience. With what was left of his strength, the angry pale villain yelled out one last order to his Nomu.
"NOMU, KILL THEM ALL TIL THERE'S NONE LEFT.", roared Tomura as he was sucked into Kurogiri who turned into a small warp gate. Once he saw the amount of blood that his master's disciple was losing, the warp villain knew it was time to go. The SHIELD youths were far more dangerous than they believed. Two of which could have killed him and these two could have killed Shiguraki. In an instant, both villains disappeared from the scene. Leaving a bleeding Sabertooth to clutch his own neck.
"That's right.*cough*. Run. *cough*. We'll hunt you. *cough*. Eventually.", mocked Sabertooth weakly as his healing factor had started to heal the exterior of his neck. As he remained there on his knees, the Nomu let out an echoing roar that was loud enough to disoriented Venom to stop his consumption of augmented flesh. The next moments were too fast for the American and Canadian. The Nomu slammed both hands into the Klyntar hybrid's head, splattering it into black slime. Next, the dark muscular beast punched the headless body of the American into the air and quickly stood back up to orient itself back to a more ready stance. The headless body then slammed to the metal ceiling, leaving a huge dent. Falling back to the wrecked Central Plaza, the Klyntar's body was slowly regrowing its head back. However, the Nomu leaped and grabbed the American's leg mid fall. Shifting its massive frame, the monster threw its opponent at the still grounded Canadian.
As he finally steadied his breathing, Sabertooth stood back up just in time to see Venom's huge muscular body slam him back into the ground. As the Nomu landed on its feet, a clawed hand breached out of the rubble and pulled out the Canadian who was pissed.
"Venom. What the hell happened with freak? I thought I told you to eat the damn thing whole.", growled sabertooth as stood back up once again into a readied stance.
"The food fought back. The crazy guy said something to it. Made it faster. Strong. More dangerous.", growled back Venom as he too got up from the ground with several small tendrils beginning to writhe in frustration. His emotional sonar sent signals in the last minute of something triggering in the head of the Nomu.
Sniffing the air, Sabertooth could get the same feeling as he smelled the drastically shifting scent of the monster in front of him. It was as if all of its quirks were activating all at once, which told the Canadian what he needed to know on why this thing was dangerous in the first place. There were at least four quirks in its body and all were put to max. Looks like this final boss was going to be a major pain in the ass.
"The plan hasn't changed. With everyone out of the way, we just got to keep this thing down long enough to find a way to kill it.", said Sabertooth as he looked to see most of the class back at the top of the entrance. He spotted a familiar head of green hair. He sighed in relief that Izuku had made it out unscathed.
Just as he looked away from the class and back to the Nomu, Sabertooth could see that the monster was a few feet away and getting closer. Venom quickly got past the Canadian and rammed himself into the lumbering mass. Said Canadian dodged in time to avoid getting hit by the two alpha beasts dragging one another through the plaza. Figuring that he had nothing else better to do he ran after the two brutes.
… Meanwhile, Back at USJ Facility Entrance …
"Woah. Is it me or is Eddie Brock scarier than usual?", asked Mineta, a little shaken by the spectacle of the American teen's power.
"No kidding. Both him and Creed are just taking on that big guy like it's one of the grunts that Aizawa fought off. Not a shred of fear in either of them.", said Sero in awe and slight intimidation.
'Was this the power he used on the zero pointer back then.', thought Shoji as he continued to observe the foreigners do battle with the monster.
"Eddie-chan was winning a while ago, but now he's back to square one.", said Tsuyu with her usual normal facial expression, but now there is a slight hint of worry. She had also noticed the sudden change in the young Brock's behavior. He fought more savagely than how he dealt with the villain back at the flood zone. Then, he was stoic and direct. Now, it was like he had become an animal in a way.
'I really hope this change of yours isn't too drastic, Eddie-chan.', thought Tsuyu worryingly.
Unknown to the students, Victor von Doom had his own thoughts on the situation. That fool Sabertooth just had to pull out their trump card so early in the school year. Considering the threat however, he'll allow it for once. Looking down, he's currently crouching next to a downed Aizawa. The poor teacher was barely breathing and the wounds were beyond repair. If it wasn't for Recovery Girl and possibly Eddie if they'll allow it, then there would be no way this man could ever return to being a pro-hero. Even with the current medical practices and technology. So much damage, yet the will to live could be felt. Literally felt, for the young Doom was currently keeping him stable with his particle manipulation quirk. Just then, he's Ochako Uraraka, Mina Ashido, and the pro Thirteen kneeling to the otherside of the unconscious Eraserhead.
"Is he going to be okay, Victor?", asked Ochako worryingly. Her big glassy eyes begging for some assurance from the pair of cold calculating green ones that stare back at her.
"Yeah, you're doing something to his body to help him. That's what you're doing, right?", asked Mina, a little frantic with her hands balled and close to her chest.
Looking at the two girls in front of him, he questioned the need for such panic. He forgets that they aren't SHIELD youth and are just hyper teenagers with biological powers. Also, the sudden use of his first name gave a slight pause. Neither have earned his respect let alone tolerance to use it. For the sake of the situation, he allows it for now. But next time, he'll remind them all. Not just for his train of focus, but they'll just confuse him and Creed. Honestly, it was annoying to have to share the same first name with that animal.
"What I'm doing is keeping his body and constitution stable for the sake of the natural healing process. In terms of "okay", that's far too generous to describe him. Bloody strife is what I would call him. He's lost nearly a gallon of blood, half of his bones are broken, and a large fracture of the side of his skull has slightly ruined his left eye. My full diagnosis, well, he should have been in the emergency room ten minutes ago.", explained Doom plainly. Spoken as if the person he was aiding meant anything to him. Looking back at the two girls, they were on the verge of tears and shaking violently.
"Relax, will you? My quirk is keeping him stable through a process I call Particle Stasis. I stopped any more blood from leaving by closing his wound. I reconnected each broken bone fragment into their respective shape. His eye is a whole other issue, but it could be recoverable once its equilibrium has reconstitute itself with the proper blood flow returning. To put it simply, I gave his outside back its shape. We can only hope his inside isn't too broken. Once All-Might arrives, Eddie Brock will restore him completely.", explained Doom frustrated. It was then that Thirteen came to the three and knelt down next to the girls.
"He's going to be okay. I've known him for a while now and I've heard he's been through worse from Present Mic. He's just as concerned for you as you are for him. If not more so.", said Thirteen calmly and assuringly. Her gentle tone doing its job on soothing the girls' spirit as they looked to their downed teacher a little less scared now. Now with them relaxed, the pro-hero looked to the Latverian SHIELD youth who was constantly shifting his left hand slowly through several angles. The odd motions allow flowing streams of green misty energy to spread throughout Aizawa's body. Intrigued, she decided to test his boy's character.
"From what I've heard you say, you're technically helping Aizawa in a way. Just not in a way that is a form of healing. That's an impressive ability that your quirk can do and I've seen you with your friend capture that warp villain with ease.", examined Thirteen with admiration. Although her words were kind, she noticed that it didn't do much to change the boy's cold expression. Nonetheless, he responded back.
"Did I Aizawa debrief you on our quirks and backgrounds? He seems the type to make deterrence protocols with his fellow heroes if things are out of order. Whether it be those he fights or those he's in charge of monitoring.", queried Doom as he wanted to test the pro-hero's character as she was doing to him. Immediately, Thirteen looked down anxiously at being caught. She honestly didn't want to do it, but with how cautious Aizawa was about having foreign students. SHIELD enlisted ones at that.
"Right. Well, he seemed pretty sure that the SHIELD youth members that enrolled already had the most in basic and semi-advanced training. He thought it would be more efficient to put your squad on guard duty since this exercise was taking place outside of the school grounds.", explained Thirteen a little flustered. She didn't really have anything bad to say about SHIELD in general. It's just that she prefers to stay out of politics since the controversy around pro-heroes and SHIELD agents was far too heated for her. Ochako and Mina looked at her in confusion. They thought that Doom's squad actually were taking part in the rescue training. Why the exclusion?
"If Aizawa truly believes that being a more restrictive teacher to my squad than the rest of the class could improve the balance of progression of power among his students, then he's wasting his time. And frankly, very hypocritical from his beliefs on how the hero-based educational system is an utter failure. Nevertheless, my squad will always prevail through his mistrust for SHIELD.", proclaimed Doom with no care for the clash of ideals. He could care less for how this institution thinks about the organization he is in service for. Eventually, he and his squad won't need their involvement with their real mission. Izuku Midoriya will learn to realize that only through him, Victor von Doom, and the assistance of said Latverian's teammates that he will reach his full potential. For now, the two groups will just have to play nice with each other.
"But that isn't really fair though. As far as we've known you guys, you just seemed to be okay with being students like the rest of us. Yeah, you're super spies in training, but we're on the same team if you think about it. We're all just trying to be heroes.", said Ochako with sadness and a little determination trying to leak out. Mina knew what Ochako was trying to say and put a caring hand on the brunette's shoulder.
"So what that your SHIELD youth? You guys are cool from what I've seen. You guys are strong, skillful, and so brave. You're trying to save Aizawa-sensei, Eddie and Creed are kicking butt, and Erik is out there right now saving everybody who's lost out in this place.", said Mina with her cheery nature slowly returning. Doom notices that her eyes brightened more at the mention of the young Magneto. It's likely that the time that she had with the German teen as his partner in the battle training made a positive impression. The young Latverian sighed and gave in to the praise that the three were trying to convey. At least for the sake of the situation.
"All that you need to be concerned about right now is your safety. Upon his orders, Aizawa knew my squad is capable of protecting everyone and that's all I needed as motivation to do just that. With everything occurring, it might also be best to keep a record of our adversaries.", explained Doom to assure them that everything is under control. While maintaining a connection to the homeroom teacher, he turns his direction to the teen with tape dispenser elbows.
"Sero, are there still any villains in the plaza?", asked Doom to the skinny teen who was still focused on the Nomu throwing around the two other SHIELD youths. Said boy jolted a little by the sound of Doom's voice. With quick realization, Hanta Sero peered throughout the plaza and counted rapidly to get the number of all the villains that were still there.
"Well from the looks of it, all the henchmen that Professor Aizawa took down are still out of it on the ground. Though, we did just see that foggy looking guy warp away with someone. I think that guy just screamed something and the big guy just went berserk on your friends.", explained Sero as he recalled the events that happened.
'So, those pathetic excuses for leaders just left their men for dead and put their monster on a kill switch. Abandoning their forces and fleeing is predictable, but to do so without seeing All-Might first is questionable.', thought Doom analytically. A hunch came to his mind, but he'll need to prove it to make sure.
"Shoji, you've had your ears out to scan the environment for any commotion. Can you recall anything you heard from the plaza that led to that behemoth's newfound savagery?", asked Doom to the multiple armed teen. Said student with multiple limbs looked back at the conflict and turned back to Doom.
"As far as I could have heard, it sounded like the one that escaped with the help of that warp villain was in serious pain. I could only guess it was Creed who hurt him since Eddie was dealing with the monster the whole time.", explained Shoji. The multi-arm teen even recalled the snarls and belittling remarks that the Canadian had made toward the pale villain. Everyone who listened felt unnerved by the foreigner's actions. For a hero in training, he acts like a real bully.
Doom scoffed at the scenario given him. Of course Creed would cost them the only culprit worth questioning. However, the odd exchange he had with Kurogiri was actually quite revealing of the true context of this poorly planned murder attempt. By emitting his quirk through his hand, the young Latverian had actually planned to just combust the villain from the inside. Hopefully leaving enough alive to be brought back for interrogation. However, that didn't happen. Instead, the two individuals had gone through a sort of mind mending process. He didn't feel anything from his own mind get sent to the enemy, but he did feel something enter his memories through surges of neurons. Flashes of the annoying adversary's memories had seeped and spread throughout his perception of his mindscape.
It started with a bright operating light above his point of view. Next, two shadowy figures eclipsed the brightness as they spoke to one another. Though the voices were muffled, Doom could make a strong assumption that both were grown men. The two mysterious cohorts had then moved the operating table vertically and moved it toward the further reaches of the laboratory. The next series of moments were more operations done to what the young Latverian could tell was a slow and painfully reconstructed body. There was no mirror to see who the body belonged to. That alone told him that this series of nightmarish surgeries was meant with no amount of care for who the patient was. The sensation of air deprived lungs and a dead heart cemented the possibility that this Kurogiri is a dead man walking in the most literal sense. But why? What was the end result for all this effort in meddling with a corpse?
That's when he saw it. The pale hands of the body raised themselves onto eye level and outwardly summoned a black cloud with a purple hue. With each test to summon more dark clouds, their properties slowly changed into that of hovering vacant void. Until finally, the memory of the first successful warp portal had been shown to him. A figure then walks out of the portal. A tall man in a black suit and tie. His head is covered in a black synthetic material attached to a bulky collar-like device with tubes running through it. Once the individual came face to face to the standing corpse, he spoke and his voice was loud and clear for the Latverian to hear.
"For now on, your name is Kurogiri, protector of my future. I am your master now.", said the mysterious man coldly and oppressively.
"Yes, master.", said Kurogiri obediently.
The pieces of this morbid puzzle were thus fully presented to the young Doom. The memories had ended then, but he could surmise the most likely overall meaning behind this incident. Kurogiri had mentioned that they were there to kill All-Might. They brought a monster to do just that. The moments of the surgeries had revealed that the warp villain wasn't just a key player in this organization, but a very efficient pawn to act as a herald for their so-called master. This would mean that he was actually here to see whether this attack worked or not to report back to his true leader. But why leave? The Nomu was still operational and can still fight. The warp gate villain would have to still stay to see when the creature fights All-Might to know the end result. Instead, he abandoned the plan to secure the safety of the false figurehead of the attack force. Whatever damage Sabertooth did to the proxy leader was so severe that this whole effort was prematurely nullified. "The protector of my future". Could this individual be so important to the real mastermind behind all this that his own creation immediately put his programming above even the mission? Yes. Yes, that's it. An army of pathetics grunts that knew no better. Putting all the chips on one bet. To lure All-Might specifically.
'This whole farce is completely up to chance in every sector of its operation. The only two factors to take into account is All-Might's arrival and the Nomu the enemy brought. If the goal was to test the beast's abilities against the number one hero, then they should get their results in two different ways. If All-Might did die to this Nomu and noone was here to report it back, then they could just wait til the next day or more for it to be public information. Or maybe. No. That can't be it. This monster would have to consider precious cargo for that to be the case. Instead, they left it behind like the rest of the grunts. No, this wasn't for it. It was for All-Might. The plausible proofs for this to be the case are practically everywhere. The students. This facility. Even the incident with the news crews during lunch period. All of which are cemented by the fact that these villains dedicated the flow of this attack for the newfound knowledge that All-Might is a Yuuei teacher.', thought Doom very analytically. As he continued to make Aizawa's condition to maintain a level of stability, he thought further to why a hero like that being a teacher matters so much. Unless. Unless.
That's when realization hit the mind of the young Victor von Doom. The reason for all this nonsense would have to be because the villain knew. All-Might was getting weaker. So they tested the waters to see if there was any chance they could take to begin the process to finally be rid of the number one hero. All so that countrywide crime can become more likely in the future. The true results they were after are the current scale of his power. And if that's the case, then any show of his power is valuable data.
Victor von Doom then turned his gaze to the person at the far right end of the top of the step. There, his objective looked down to the fight between his squadmate and Nomu. concern, worry, and analytical calculations that ran on panic and constant rambling. A pathetic and sad sight, but held by one who doesn't truly grasp his absolute value in the grand scheme. And also, unbelievably predictable. The act to put his boot on the lower step proves that.
"Midoriya, don't you dare take another step down. If your plan is to throw yourself into that mess, then you'll be giving those villains the only victory they'll ever get from this invasion.", Ordered Doom in mild frustration. All the students and pro-hero looked to see that the Latverian was right. Izuku Midoriya was about to go down the steps.
"Nothing that Creed and Eddie are doing aren't working on that big villain. They need the help to slow them down. Or at least some help to put some sort of pressure on it to make it weak enough to not use its quirks efficiently.", defended Izuku as he wanted to help Creed in whatever way he could. Hearing his case, some of the students there wanted to agree too. However, remembering that Eddie Brock mentioned that Nomu was there to fight All-Might. How could they themselves stand a chance against such an enemy. Maybe if they were with Todoroki or Bakugo, but even that was a long shot.
"Are you crazy, Midoriya? It was scary enough when the three of us were stuck on that boat with all those fish guys. Now, you want to take a bigger, scarier looking villain that even SHIELD is having a hard time with.", said Mineta with shock at the green-haired teen's need to put himself in danger.
"You might want to rethink this, midoriya. We don't really have any means of slowing it down. From what we've heard when we got here, everyone was having a hard time with the Kurogiri guy. Eddie really drove it to all of us to stay from this Nomu thing.", clarified Tsuyu as she looked at Izuku with a gloved finger to her chin.
"Creed and Eddie can try to dodge its attacks, but that can't put any significant damage to keep it injured or disoriented enough to give them time to recover. Maybe if they had enough force to back them up…", said Izuku as he still defends his case on helping in the battle in the plaza. He then looks at his hands and thinks if he has just enough control over one for all, then he could be enough to beat Nomu. Before he could think of it any further, Doom stopped him doing anything he didn't want.
"If this is out of concern for my squadmates, then it is appreciated and unneeded. They knew the risk and willingly went head first into danger to preserve everyone's lives. And besides, the goal isn't to defeat that beast. The true objective is to keep that thing busy so that it doesn't go after anyone else. Considering that they both have healing factors, they're the only ones that can do this and come back alive. They do this so that All-Might will have enough time to arrive and save us.", explained Doom to all that were there so all opinions of leaving the safe zone could be squashed. A part of him slightly puked at the thought of needing safing, but with so many that he and his squad were responsible for. He will begrudgingly set aside his pride to say that 'yes, we need All-Might'.
And then, as if heaven had answered their prayers. Their savior arrived to end the struggle as a loud crash could be heard from everywhere. Dust clouds covered the whole destroyed entrance as a glooming figure was walking toward the group. As the image of the person became clearer, the students that were there took a breath of relief. Those that were at the steps smiled at his sight with eyes of admiration and respect. Ochako, Mina, and even Mineta had begun to cry. Izuku among them was locked in a state of pure joy and appreciation at how their chance had gone thanks to his idol finally arriving. However, he did notice one thing about his favorite hero that wasn't normal. All-Might wasn't smiling.
"HAVE NO FEAR. FOR I AM HERE.", proclaimed a booming voice filled with determination and stoicness. His face, a scowling and teeth gritted expression as a vein pulsed was visible on his neck muscle.
"IT'S ALL-MIGHT.", cheered the students with vigor and excitement. Only Victor von Doom didn't share in the excitement. For he was more tired than anything else.
"It's about time.", said Doom tiredly.
… Meanwhile at the Mountain Zone …
Minutes before the number one hero's grand entrance, the last standing crowd of the villain attack force had cornered three Class 1-A students. As two prepare for the intense skirmish with the array of criminal scum, one skinny little blonde man is just shrieking as he avoids getting hit. At least for a while, until one among them reminded him how useful he was.
"You're our human stun gun.", said Kyoka Jiro irritated as she kicked Denki Kaminari into a villain. This caused the villain who got bumped by the blonde to undergo immense electrical shock. This then leads to two other grunts foolishly falling into the trap and getting shocked themselves.
"You two should really coordinate your attack better.", chastised Momo Yaoyorozu who finished throwing a metallic net at the electrified bundle.
"Sorry, I'll just ask if you guys need saving.", said Jiro with sarcasm as she and Momo held their ground.
For both of the girls, Jiro and Momo saw two large thugs charging at them. They prepare their weapons for the brutes, but two other individuals arrive just in time. From the left, one villain got slammed by a shadowy force that came from below. It was none other than Fumikage Tokoyami with his dark shadow. From the right, a muscly tail with a fluffy yellow top whacked its intended target to the ground. The arriving aid came from the tenacious Mashirao Ojiro.
"Are you alright? You got a whole lot more than the rest of us from where we were.", said Ojiro with concern.
"Looks like we came just in the nick of time.", said Tokoyami stoically as a dark shadow formed behind him.
"Whoa, where did you guys come from?", asked a dumbfounded Jiro. The two arrivals responded by pointing their thumbs to the view behind them. The two girls looked to see Kirishima and Bakugou decimating the villainous crowd.
"These maggots are just as pathetic as the one back at the ruins zone.", roared Bakugou as he blasted away three villains at once.
"Hope you don't mind us taking all the fun.", said a cheery Kirishima as uppercutted a thug and sent him toward his cohorts.
While this was happening, Kaminari picked himself from the villain pile he accidentally made. He was grateful that he didn't have to use up too much of his spark. Otherwise, he might end up looking like an idiot. He noticed Koji Koda coming up to him and helping in removing the metallic net.
"Thanks Koji.", said Denki as he and his silent classmate regrouped with Momo and Jiro.
The sight of the new students arriving to help their classmates discourage some of the villains that were on the sideline. However, they built up their remaining confidence and were about to charge into any damage they could. Before they could, however, they felt their weapons and gear becoming heavier than they usually were. The next second, their own weapons started to levitate and hit them instead. Slashes and blunt hits befell the villains as some even started to levitate themselves as their bodies were brought to the air by their metallic gear or their buckles. They then slammed into each other as cries of pain grew louder. Their tired and beaten bodies were brought up higher and suddenly allowed to drop to the spectacle was something to behold for the students that were there. As if ghosts were there to fight the villain, Momo, Jiro, and Denki were awestruck by what power could do this.
"Pretty freaky, huh? Erik really knows how to pull the coolest tricks with his magnetism. You should have seen him when we picked up Koda, Tokoyami, and Ojiro. Talk about manly.", explained Kirishima with excitement as Bakugou next to him scoffed at the SHIELD youth's power. To him, it irked him that throughout their trek around the facility the foreigner told him what to do to better rescue their class. Katsuki Bakugou doesn't need anyone to tell them how to fight better.
Upon hearing Kirishima's explanation, they saw that he pointed up and looked to where showed an astonishing sight. Up in the air, Erik Lesher was floating with six metallic chairs to his side. One of the chairs had someone still sitting. Looking closer, the one that was still sitting was actually Toru Hagakure who was waving her gloved hand to the group. Descending to the ground, the German boy and invisible girl walked to the group. With all the villains down for the count, the scene seemed safe and secured. Everyone relaxed knowing that they were done fighting for now. But not everything appears as it seems, below them there was an electrical type villain who was biding his time and striking at the opportunity to take a hostage. He could feel through the dirt he's in. There was a group a bit away and two pairs of footsteps right above. One was lighter. A girl probably. A little more inches left until he strikes.
A body then erupts from the ground with a hand covered in bright electricity. The group of students realized too late as some tried to take a sprint to stop the suddenly appearing bad guy. The target of the villain's choice was Toru. She was shocked and could barely move as she tried to turn to see her attacker. In the attacker's case, he was aiming for the girl. But there was a problem for him, he couldn't see a girl. It was then that he noticed boots and gloves just floating there. His eyes shifted to a taller teen dressed in black.
'Fuck it. I gotta hit something.', said the thug. The culprit appears to be an adult wearing a blue skull helmet and a battle vest. He drove his electrified fist at the German teen, nearly grazing Toru whose face was a centimeter away from the attack.
Erik Lesher didn't move. He didn't look. He didn't even care. For this trash.
"Really.", said Erik coldly as he reached for the hand that dared to come at him. His own hand grabbed the offending limb as the villain tried to output all of his static into the teen. Toru and everyone watched as the villain struggled to pull his hand away. In his struggle, the villain emits more electricity into the German teen, but said teen didn't show any expression of pain or agony at being electrocuted. He just stood as he gripped the fool's hand so hard that he broke a finger. As this was occurring, Erik transferred the electricity to free hand and turned the static into an electrical ball of purple magnetic energy. The young Lesher then slammed his energized palm into his enemy's torso. The result being the last remaining villain hit with immense pressure of a raw blast of electromagnetic currents. The thug was then shot into a stone wall side of the mountain.
"To think, scum like that breathes the same air as me.", said Erik mockingly. The students, excluding Bakugou, were shocked at the intimidating display of power.
'He can channel other energy into magnetic energy. His magnetic quirk has so many functions.', thought Momo analytically. From her experience with Doom, everyone of the SHIELD youths in their class are so skilled with their quirks. It was as if they had already accomplished in reaching the full development of their power before even coming to Yuuei.
'With power like that, they would already be pro-heroes at this point. Why be assigned to Yuuei if SHIELD had allowed them to go beyond years ago?", wondered Tokoyami with perplexion. He saw for himself when he witnessed Erik come to their aid with Bakugou and Kirishima. He and Koda were simply using bait and switch tactics to take down the few villains they could. When they finally reached the exit of the storm zone, the large group of villains were waiting for them. The bird teen was ready to use dark shadow to defend both of them. However, the explosive blonde and the hardened redhead had arrived with a very explosive and hard hitting entrance. But it was when the German teen made his move.
The villains that Tokoyami and Koda had already taken down had gotten back up. They came to aid their villainous comrades in one last attempt to capture and kill the students. However, their final charge had turned into a horror scene from a scary movie. One by one, each villain was dragged by an invisible force into any window or doorway of the surrounding buildings. Sounds of pain filled grunt and cries could be heard as all were thrown out and slammed into a pile. Erik Lesher then appeared in front of the group of students from the blown exit of the storm zone. His helmet constantly hid his face in pitch black darkness. His blank white eyes being the only things that stick out.
Back with the current event with the now expanded group of students that included Momo, Jiro, and Denki, Erik Lesher brought everyone to attention. He claps his hands to gain their eyes.
"Alright, everyone. As far as we're concerned, this should be everyone that we could find. Other than Todoroki who by the ice trail has gone to the direction of the main entrance of the facility, he should be safe if he had planned to regroup with the others. Aoyama is a bit concerning though. I'd figure with someone of his unique personality, he would be easier to find.", said Erik to all as he motioned his hand to make the disposable metal weapons of the villains levitate. Leather wrappings and plastic handles were swiftly removed as the metal was reused to be an extra set of chairs for the three newly rescued.
"Now then, let's return to the rest of the class. Hopefully, the situation in the plaza has resolved itself. However, I suppose that loud roar we all had heard a while ago should indicate that it hasn't.", said Erik calmly as the students around had their own question about that sound they heard. Before he could answer their questions, they all turned to the direction of the plaza as a loud eruption of dust and smoke could be seen at the main entrance.
"Whoa. Okay, what was that?", asked Denki as a slight nervous chill tingled inside him.
"That has to be the help. We've seen Iida make it out of here for long time now.", said Kirishima with hope that they had finally won back the USJ.
"It must be. Iida doesn't seem like the type to fail. Now then, let's regroup with others and see who came to our aid.", said Erik with finality as he shifted the chairs to everyone's positions. All took their seats, except for Bakugou.
"I'm going to the plaza on my own.", said Bakugou deafinitely. All turned to him and Erik wasn't pleased.
"No, you won't.", said Erik as the chair quickly morphed around Bakugou's body and held him tight. The explosive blonde tried to use his quirk to destroy the metal binding him, but it didn't work. Erik walked up to him with his arms crossed and a cold stare. The young Bakugou could only glare back.
" If you won't listen to me as a fellow student concerned for your safety, then you'll have to listen to me as the nearest symbol of law enforcement available. Our homeroom teacher instructed a squad of highly trained SHIELD youths and a pro-hero with the task of securing the well-being of the whole class. Even if you're being an annoying toddler, Mister Bakugou, you'll need to suck in that pride and let professionals fight the larger threats. Letting you and Kirishima fight off the cannon fodder was already beyond the limitations that Aizawa was willing to allow us. Now behave.", said a stern Erik as he started to levitate from the ground.
The students witnessed the scene between their two classmates. They knew to not encourage dangerous thoughts like entering danger so blindly, but the authoritative figure here was someone no older than they were. Despite their similar age, the young German was still SHIELD and that meant following their lead if their teachers weren't around as the current law enforcing superiors. And also, he did seem like the one with the plan. Thus, the students willingly sat on their respective metallic chairs which started to levitate to the German teen. Bakugou just growled at how he kept getting belittled by the foreigner and shouted profanities towards them. Erik simply sighed and kept flying with everyone.
… Meanwhile at the USJ Entrance …
All-Might was furious. To think the villains of this side of the prefecture were so bold to attack students during a school trip to their rescue training. As he stomped further out of the dust clouds he made, he then noticed the down Aizawa with three students and Thirteen kneeling around him. In a blink of an eye, he dashed to their location to kneel down to examine the erasure hero a little closer. Ochako and Mina were still teary eyed at the sight of their savior finally here, even when they jolted a little at him suddenly appearing where they were. Victor von Doom and Thirteen didn't show any surprise or emotion at his display of speed, being already used to seeing his amazing abilities.
"I'm so sorry everyone. I should've been here. None of this should have happened.", proclaimed All-Might with much guilt and frustration at the scene in front of him.
"Don't blame yourself. None of us could have predicted something like this would happen. The villains that arrived brought a very powerful attack force, All-Might. Aizawa and I held up for a while, but we got taken down trying to defend everyone. The SHIELD youths managed to protect everyone and got Aizawa out of a deadly fight. One of them is currently rescuing the other students that are lost in the facility. Two other SHIELD youths are currently fighting the last of the leaders that are still here.", explained Thirteen as she got All-Might up to speed with everything. The number one hero nodded in affirmation and looked down to his unconscious fellow teacher. He then turned to the young Doom.
"Young Doom, how is he? Will he recover from this?", asked All-Might worryingly for Aizawa. The Latverian teen does a series of breaths as his hands perform motions that flow the green particle to relax the erasure hero's muscles.
"I relinquished my quirk from his body. My diagnosis, his skeleton is partially ruined and he may lose an eye. By removing my quirk, his body will soon initiate the process of accommodating the damage, but it will be fatal over time. With your permission, allow Eddie Brock to restore his body so that nothing will be lost.", explained Doom as he looked to All-Might with dead serious eyes.
"You have it. Now, where is young Brock?", asked All-Might.
"Fighting your alleged assassin in the plaza.", answered Doom.
With that information, All-Might sped to the top of the stairs and witnessed a tall muscular monster fighting Sabertooth, Venom, and surprisingly enough Todoroki. Among them, some of the villains that Aizawa had defeated had started to regain consciousness and attempted to stand. He was about to jump in until Izuku piped in with a warning.
"All-Might, that villain is called a Nomu. We don't know what its quirk is, but it seems to have some sort of regeneration. It just seems to keep fighting from what we could see. The villains were so confident that it could beat you. Please be careful.", said Izuku worryingly.
"Young Midoriya. Fear not. I'll handle it from here.", proclaimed All-Might with his smile returning and performing a peace sign pose. The action filled Izuku with momentary relief as his idol sped to the scene.
… Minutes Before All-Might's Arrival …
Sabertooth could say he had harder times before when he fought things that didn't stay down. In his previous life, there were a lot of people who could fit that description. The Defenders were a crew he tackled with before. Iron Fist specifically. Most of the X-Men. Wolverine for the most part. Spider-Man one time, but that was just because Wolverine was there. He had even fought some of his fellow mutants. Every fight he had was always some heavy hitter who just kept getting back up and returning the damage back tenfold. This Nomu he'll admit is a bit above his paygrade.
"SHIT.", yelled Sabertooth was grabbed by his leg and slammed to the ground. He was then picked back up with concrete pieces in his hair and was thrown a long way away by a powerful punch to the torso from the purple monster. He skidded like a stone as blood trailed in droplets upon stopping. He struggled enough to raise his head to see his squadmate going at it yet again with biting and slashing.
Venom was out of ideas on how to defeat the pain in the ass freak in front of him. Everytime he tore a chunk of Nomu's brain and devoured it, he got hints of its connection to its last command fighting. However, there was a taste of a secondary command function that sent neurons to the creature's main instincts. If left on its own, it will still just cause chaos. From what he could digest, strong enough hits to specific nerve cells in the joints and to the head in near simultaneous rhythms will shut down the connection completely. The problem was that Venom and Sabertooth together wasn't enough strength to pull off anything powerful to put this punk down.
Blow for blow, Venom and Nomu matched the other's attack and healed from it. It was becoming a rather annoying stalemate for the American teen, so he figured playing dirty would be worth a shot. Turning his black Klyntar flesh translucent, he was nearly invisible to Nomu. with the light all around them, one would have to squint their eyes to even see the blurry image that was the young Brock. It certainly got the best of his opponent as he could now deliver more slash and bites with less difficulty. The healing factor the monster was showing was still an issue. Unlike Sabertooth, both he and Nomu could regenerate lost limbs.
Throwing all ethics away, Venom just kept ripping into his brain and important muscle to try to break anything the monster needed. Sure, it wasn't helping him win the fight. But hell, he was enjoying the delicious meat he was relishing in. a buffet that never runs out. For a near year, he had to ration himself with special supplements and regulated meals to keep his Klyntar diet in check. But now, real meat and he didn't stop drooling since that first brain chunk entered his mouth.
However, Venom's human side briefly returned to his mind and all senses fired rationality to what he was doing. The students are still in danger and Nomu is the only real threat right now. He remembered the original reason he was tasked by Doom to fight this thing. Keep it busy until All-Might gets here. That made him wonder one thing however.
"Where the hell is All-Might? Iida should've gotten help by now.", wondered Venom in frustration as he went for another round with Nomu. That was when a loud eruption from the main entrance occurred. From what his emotional sonar quirk was telling him, the person that just arrived had a strong sense of justice and they were really pissed. Well, it's about time.
Another mindset was picked up by his sonar, Venom turned just in time to see Nomu's fist about to hit his face until something stopped it. From a few meters away, the American teen could see Shoto Todoroki using his ice quirk to freeze the Nomu in place. With the time given to him, the young Brock shot a web line to pull in a kneeling Sabertooth and he carried the Canadian as they leaped to where the young Todoroki was.
"I can only guess that the loud sound I just heard was our help finally arriving. Until they decide to assist us, do you SHIELD youths have any information on this thing you're fighting?", asked Todoroki as he assessed the enemy that was in his sights.
"As far as I could tell, it can regenerate from pretty much anything we can throw at it. Destroying its head slows down the healing but it keeps coming back.", answered Venom as he put Sabertooth in a standing position. The one thing Shoto noticed about the American is that he had gotten more taller and muscular. The sudden addition of a mouth with sharp teeth was an odd sight. More suddenly, the three of them noticed the Nomu moving and its legs had crumbled into ice chunks.
Sabertooth, Venom, and Todoroki were then surprised by the sight that the legs came back just as quickly. This was a new level of danger for the young Todoroki. Not having ever seen such an advanced healing quirk. For the two SHIELD youths, this wasn't new. It only meant that freezing the flesh to the point of necrosis wasn't much of a plan either. The American teen then multiple minds resurging to awareness. He turned to see the villains that Aizawa had taken down a while ago.
"Shit, it looks like the party is going to restart.", said Venom as he gestured to the rising villains.
"As much as I do like fighting, this big son of a bitch has convinced me that we don't have the time or the energy to waste on every threat at once. Hey, Todoroki is your name, right? Can you use your fire on this thing? Maybe burning its head to ash will actually beat it.", said a tired Sabertooth as he suggested his plan to Shoto. This made the young Todoroki darkened his eyes.
"That's not happening. Besides, reinforcements are here. Let's just hold them off", said Shoto darkly as he summoned more ice at the Nomu who got caught in it again.
"Are you serious? This isn't the battle trials, this is real. Just use your fire. Ice ain't doing shit to him.", said Venom in irritation. He couldn't believe that this guy was still acting like such a halfass. Yeah, with everything Trickshot had told them during their missions in Europe, Endeavour sounded like some bigshot jackass. But his son had to be one too.
"Forget it Eddie. He clearly made up his mind. I guess being an amateur poser runs in the family.", said Sabertooth with a mocking grin. This caused a twinge of anger to spark in the young Todoroki.
"What did you just say?", asked Shoto angrily as he glared at the Canadian.
"What's wrong, peppermint? Bringing up Daddy to much of a touchy subject. Must be nice to be the shining son of the school with him being your stepping stones.", mocked Sabertooth, further wanting to see if riling up the young Todoroki will make him use his fire.
"What does a SHIELD dog like you know anything about me?", said Shoto now furious at what this foreigner was saying to him. Stomping to the grinning Canadian, the white and red haired teen was about to tell him off. Before he could, Venom shoved both the young Todoroki and the Canadian away from the scene. The two quickly regained their footing as they witnessed the American take a hit from the Nomu for both of them.
Venom was launched into a concrete wall and he won't lie to himself to say the hit he took didn't hurt. Hell, it completely caved his skull in. reforming his head, he popped his head out of the dust cloud to snarl back at the Nomu. Said purple monster let out a battle screech to the American, but suddenly was pounced on by Sabertooth who slashed at its head.
"Make yourself useful, Peppermint.", shouted Sabertooth as he struggled to stay on the Nomu.
Shoto Todoroki refocused on the fight and quickly froze the legs of the monster. Sabertooth then got off and sent a kick that shattered the frozen limbs. This process would then repeat as the young Todoroki kept freezing as the Canadian slashed off any parts that were regenerating. The white and red haired teen then noticed something else from the corner of his eyes. At immense speeds, the villains that were getting back up were brought back down by devastating blows to their heads and bodies. Before he could register what happened next, he and the two SHIELD youths were now somewhere else. The three teens looked to see All-Might in front of them.
"Everyone to the entrance. Young Brock, Aizawa needs you immediately. He doesn't have much time left.", proclaimed All-Might urgently. Hearing the seriousness of what would have happened to the homeroom teacher, Venom quickly sprouted wings and took off straight to the entrance. Sabertooth and Todoroki remained to see if they could still offer any assistance against Nomu.
"You might need some help, bub. This thing took everything we threw at him. Strength, speed, and regeneration. Hell, Eddie told me that this monster has something that makes it immune to blunt damage.", warned Sabertooth.
"Don't forget that my ice can slow it down and break apart its body. You could use my help for this, All-Might.", offered Todoroki nonchalantly.
"You boys have done just enough. Thanks for the warning, but now watch a pro get to work.", proclaimed All-Might exuberantly. The number one hero then zoomed straight toward Nomu and performed one of his signature moves.
"CAROLINA SMASH.", yelled All-Might as he performs an x-shaped cross slice on Nomu's upper body. It had no results as the monster went for a downward punch. The legendary hero dodged it and went for a wide swing punch. As the two exchanged blows, the two teens had their moves to make.
"If you're not planning on regrouping with the others, Peppermint, then make yourself useful again and go to their right side. I'm going to sneak behind ugly one from the left.", said Sabertooth as he rolled his shoulders.
"All-Might told us to not interfere.", countered Shoto, annoyed.
"The guy who I'm supposed to take orders from is now on the ground unconscious. Number one here was late for the party, so he doesn't get a say in what I do.", said Sabertooth with a focused scowl as he rapidly runs on all fours to the battling opponent's blindside. Shoto Todoroki just didn't get this foreigner, but nevertheless wants to help All-Might as well. Thus, he ran to the right of the battle and stood in a good position to release a freezing ground attack. This results in Nomu's legs being frozen stiff and the Canadian teen sweeping in to slash the frozen meat to pieces.
Nomu then fell from his eye level height with All-Might and screeched at having to regrow his legs. Although he didn't ask for it, the number one went for the opening and performed a powerful high knee to his opponent's lower jaw. This caused the monster to up in the air only for the hero to grab it by the waist and suplexing it into the plaza. Such an action caused an erupting geyser of dust and concrete as everyone in the facility were at awe for the power of the number one hero.
… Back at the USJ entrance …
"Awesome. Serves that dumb villain right for underestimating All-Might.", cheered an impressed Rikido Sato. He and the rest of their class were so astonished by the number one hero. Power like that is how you get to be a pro. Izuku Midoriya knew this already as he watched with concern and excitement. The green-haired fanboy decided that it would be best to keep calm and let the SHIELD youth handle it. That seemed to be the winning strategy at this point. The four people that become Yuuei students just to be his bodyguards have seemed to have done most of the fighting and made danger so far away. Still, he wished he could do more. He was supposed to be the next bearer of his idol's immense power and here he was put to a corner like a sad puppy. However, he knew the real reason for that. Looking at his hand, he knew that as long as he always breaks his bone every time he uses his power he'll be a liability until he gets better control of it. At least, Eddie Brock will be there to repair anything that breaks. Speaking of whom…
"Alright, all fixed and healed up.", said Eddie who switched back to his normal black suit form as he fished healing Aizawa's broken body. Ochako and Mina were relieved that their teacher was all well now. Thirteen wasn't so sure and needed to know something.
"Excuse me, but why isn't Eraserhead awake? Isn't he all healed now?,", asked Thirteen concernedly.
"It's because of the particle stasis Doom did. It gave me an early start in repairing organic tissue, but bones and blood had to be replaced entirely. I convert most of my reserves in nutrients and natural choligens to create large overdoses of calcium, plasma, and circulatory fluids. To stabilize everything, I had to keep him knocked out in an effort to make his natural healing go into overdrive. If he was awake, organ failure and a series of painful heart attacks would have killed even with me helping him. In short, he'll live but he needs sleep.", explained Eddie seriously.
Ochako, Mina, and Thirteen were frightened by that answer. Eraserhead could have died then and there if he was awake. From how it was explained to them, it seemed a fight with Nomu would kill anyone that fought him. But, they could've imagined it would be this severe. They were glad that the SHIELD youths and All-Might were the ones dealing with such a monster. Their thoughts were halted when something above them had appeared. Ochako alerted everyone that the rest of their class had arrived back. In the air, Erik and the students he ventured with and rescued flew down as the dust and concrete eruption had begun to dissipate.
"It seemed All-Might had delivered the grand finale. I could only imagine how much force was required to battle such a foe.", said Erik as he brought the metallic chairs down to descend. The students got off their seats and reunited with their peers. The three Shield youths present regroup to recount today's events.
"Creed is with All-Might right now. Our homeroom teacher is alive, but down. The villains have been nearly defeated, but their Leaders have escaped arrest. Is there anything else we have yet to deal with?", pondered Doom to his two squadmates.
"All are accounted for, except for Aoyama. It's as if he wants to stay hidden. Eddie, can you use your emotional sonar to find him?", asked Erik to the American teen. At once, the young Brock shifted his head to different directions of their vicinity to locate any still responsive brainwave that wasn't on the entrance path. But at least close to it. He stopped his search when nothing could be picked up.
"I can't sense him anywhere near us. With my range and if he's still alive, he has to be at least on the other side of the USJ.", said Eddie unknowingly.
"That can't be right. I checked this whole facility and scanned every metal in the structure. How is he this hidden?", said an annoyed Erik.
"We'll look for that French fool when the situation has resolved itself. If he lives up to his legend, then All-Might has to have defeated the beast by now.", said Doom tiredly as he walked toward the entrance steps. There, the three SHIELD youths and their classmates watched the dust cloud finally disappear as to their relief the symbol of peace and justice stood victorious with Sabertooth and Shoto Todoroki to his left and right. The Nomu said to be the living weapon to kill the number one hero lies planted upside down within the concrete ground of the plaza. The more excited bunch among the class cheered for the battle being won. It was then that everyone heard a voice yelling out to all of them.
"CLASS 1-A PRESIDENT TENYA IIDA. REPORTING FOR DUTY.", yelled Iida to his classmates as behind him stood the pro-hero teachers of Yuuei.
… Back at the Plaza …
"Ah, looks like my fellow teachers got here on time. No doubt some of the villains will get up eventually, so we could use the help to round them all up.", said All-Might proudly. He then shifts his eyes to the two teens that helped him with the threat.
"Now listen boys, your actions today have indeed done great results today and truly shows your heroic spirit. However, that was very reckless of you to just barge into a dangerous battle. Though you are unharmed, you won't get lucky next time. Understand?", proclaimed All-Might as he put teacher mode in high gear. The two teens in front of him begrudgingly nodded back in understanding.
"Right then, how about you boys reunite with your classmates. The teachers and I will take care of the rest.", said All-Might enthusiastically. Shoto Todoroki did just that as he walked away from the scene, but Victor Creed stayed there as he looked down to the planted Nomu. There was something off about its current scent. The quirks inside the monster were still emitting activation scents. When the person is knocked out, the quirk is turned off immediately. But that would be because their big purple enemy is still awake, even after such a powerful attack and being embedded into the concrete. So why? Why isn't this thing getting back up? Maybe Eddie was right. From what he mentioned while it was just the two of them fighting it, it must have been some dumb animal that only followed orders. Its quirks were what made it dangerous, but without someone holding its collar it was just a big meaty puppet.
Sabertooth definitely smelled something turned on even more when it went berserk once the scrawny fuck and his foggy sidebitch left. Probably with those two gone, the Nomu relied on its killswitch until something strong enough restarted its brain. So far, it seemed like All-Might was the strongest one here. The Canadian's thoughts were dashed away when said pro-hero was next to him.
"What's the matter, young Creed? The threat has been dealt with. You and your squad can regroup to escort the whole class outside", said All-Might with a hand on the Canadian's shoulder.
"This freak ain't down yet, All-Might. It's still ready to go for another round, but from how it fights it's like it needs someone to order it like a dog.", said Creed suspiciously.
That claim from the SHIELD youth actually made All-Might wonder. This whole time the big brute was actually mindless, yet it could hold its own when having a commander by its side. That's when it hit him. Memories of a past encounter with an old foe who caused this kind of condition to those who were unfortunate enough for this past enemy had interacted with. Something for him and his inner circle of friends to discuss later. For now, his students are the priority.
"I'll be sure to relay this information to the authorities. Now get along, young Creed, your squad is waiting.", said All-Might chippery.
'Being a teenager again sucks', thought Creed, annoyed. If it wasn't All-Might giving him orders, then he would send a snarky remark on the nonamed runt that told him what to do. Hell, the old him would have beaten the first civilian that thought they could tell him what to do. But orders are orders. And orders from All-Might were to be treated as if they were orders from the Director. The Canadian teen then jogged to the upward steps that would take him to his squad and his classmates at the entrance. Just before he could take the first step, he picked up on a scent nearby. After a minute, someone annoying and weird ran up to him almost out of breath. After catching it, the punk immediately did a sissy looking pose.
"Ah, hello there, I've been up and down trying to find our dear flashy class. Turns out they're all up there waiting for us, shall we go.", it turns out to be Aoyama being as flamboyant as usual. Ignoring his sparkly winking and dumb finger gunning, Victor Creed walked up to the supposed French teen and gripped his cape. The French blonde yelped in surprise as the Canadian blonde did some sniffing on him. For the young Creed, the scent was uneventful and plain. As if nothing happened to the Frenchy the whole time everything went down.
"From what I could tell, nothing barely touched you while the rest of us were fighting for our lives. Don't tell me you were hiding this whole time, Cajun.", demanded Creed as he kept a solid grip on the French blonde's cape.
"It's a secret.", said Aoyama as he sparkled some more and did a hand motion over his face that brought him in a pose. This, however, made Creed snarl at his face menacingly, which made him confess quickly that he was indeed hiding the supply closet while Nomu was rampaging.
"If being a scared little bitch your game, then move along. I want to go home and the police aren't going to make that quick enough with me here.", said Creed tired as walked up the steps to the entrance, not caring for the Frenchman's thoughts or opinions. After a while, they finally reached the top to find everyone being evacuated by the police. Aoyama merely grifted to where Koda and Sato were, while the young Creed regrouped with his squad. Doom, Erik, and Eddie noticed that he returned. They walked together and talked when they were outside of the facility.
"I see you have found Aoyama. Just where exactly was he?", asked Erik nonchalantly as he noticed the French teen's mannerisms are holding strong even after today's events.
"Dumbass was hiding in the supply closet. He barely did anything to help anyone.", said an annoyed Creed as he glanced in Izuku's direction. The green-haired teen seemed to be a little shakened, but not a scratch on him. That's all that matters.
"We can't really blame him for being scared. This was probably his first villain attack.", reasoned Eddie.
"Nevertheless, all our classmates are alive and accounted for. Today was an absolute farce and this League of Villains deserved the humiliation they've received.", proclaimed Doom stoically.
The four were then approached by a group of their classmates that consisted of Izuku, Ochako, Eijiro, Mina, Tsuyu, and the recently returned Iida. A little curious as to why they were receiving attention, but the four will humor it for now.
"Creed, we were so worried for you and Eddie. After seeing what that big villain did to Aizawa, I didn't think the two of you were going to last long without any help. But you truly proved me wrong, your teamwork was something to inspire. Sure you weren't doing much damage, even with Eddie's new transformation.", confessed a relieved Izuku. He was so glad that his neighbor was able to survive the experience. One can never underestimate every villain they see.
"Not going to lie, I was having my doubts with whatever we were trying to do to that big bastard. But like the badass that I am, I got Eddie out of a jam and took my hits like a champ.", said Creed with overconfidence.
"What happened to your costume? It looks so torn up. Was it the big villain who did it?", asked Ochako as she noticed that the Canadian teen was very much unharmed while his attire on his upper body didn't survive.
"Oh that. Well before yours truly pulled Eddie outta bruising hell, I also took on the rotten little punk lead this shitshow to our trainning day. I beat the crap out of him, but the bub got lucky and landed a scrape on me. Turns out he has a quirk that turns whatever he touches to dust. Fucker was damn shock when nothing he did worked. It was hilarious.", said a snarky Creed as Izuku and Ochako were frightened at the thought of a quirk like that existing. And in the hands of a villain no less.
"That power sounds like a nightmare to fight against, Creed. The fact you came out unscathed is incredible.", said an astonished Izuku with Ochako who nodded in agreement.
"Yeah well, it helps to be completely awesome and have a healing factor. Hey Eddie, your welcome for saving you by the way.", said Creed with a mocking grin.
"It was a mutual team-up, Creed. If anything, I did more saving than you.", said Eddie irritated. His emotional sonar quirk then picked up on Tsuyu's calmness shifting into concern towards him.
"You really scared me out there, Eddie. It was like seeing you turning into another person during that fight. Was that a part of your quirk or something?", asked Tsuyu with slight worry. A part of Eddie felt that the wavelength of negative emotions emitting from Tsuyu shouldn't be there in her. It wasn't right, so he tries to make her feel better.
"Yeah, you can say. But hey, it's all good now. We got everyone out alright and we managed to save Aizawa. Plus we beat the villains to boot.", said Eddie with his black mask dispersing back into his black suit to reveal an assuring smile to the frog girl.
"It was still kinda weird though. You let out a roar and just became more ferocious. I couldn't see it more clearly from where I was, but I know you had to be that way to keep that monster away from us. Still, you really got me worried there.", said Tsuyu with slight worry still in her voice. The frog teen then felt a hand on her shoulder and looked to see Eddie's blue eyes gazing into her big black eyes.
"Hey, you were awesome too. You saved Izuku and Mineta. That took guts from what I saw. You're so cool, Tsuyu.", said Eddie with a cheery smile. To the frog girl, his smile felt so genuine and warm. She placed her hand over his hand that was on her shoulder. With a slight pink in her cheeks, she gave a smile back to the American teen.
"You should have seen it, Mina. We were taking down every villain that came at us. We pretty much conquered the whole facility and saved a lot of our classmates. The fights we were a part of were so manly.", said Eijro with an excited grin.
"Glad to hear that you had fun. I was pretty much a mess back at the entrance. I'm not really proud of it.", said Mina who rubbed her arm anxiously. She felt a little down that she didn't do much to help.
"To be fair, not a lot of you could really contribute since Doom and I made it our priority to keep everyone away from danger. I considered it more beneficial if some of you didn't get involved. After all, this was your first villain attack and it's quite lucky that a majority of these ingrates are completely weak fodder.", explained Erik nonchalantly.
"Yeah, but it was so awesome though. You were unstoppable when we were saving everyone. It was like seeing invisible ghosts pulling and pushing the thugs like ragdolls. It's pretty much like I said back in the bus. Your magnetism quirk is so powerful.", said an enthusiastic Eijiro.
"I'm seriously going to need to get my acid up a notch if I'm going to do cool stuff like that.", whined Mina as she crossed her arms.
"You two definitely understand your potential, but you have yet to convert such momentum into inner strength. This attack may have been your first, but it won't be your last.", said Erik with wisdom in his voice. That statement had made Eijiro and Mina to face Erik with their full attention.
"From what I have seen from you Eijiro and from what I can tell about you Mina, you can reach higher limits with your powers with enough determination and dedication. Aizawa was right when he said the current hero system is flawed with so many pros being consumed by their own popularity. This spirit and passion the two of you emit makes me believe that perhaps our class has what it takes to become far more than any who came before us", said Erik with confidence as he removed his helmet to let his white hair flow freely. Eijiro looks at his hands as they harden slowly. The word spoken by the German teen had removed the little anxiousness within him. Feeling more excited, the red haired teen swears that he's going to make his quirk the most manly one there is. Next to him, Mina was quite enthralled by the taller teen's words. He just had a way with words to make you feel like being your best self was the most important.
"You always seemed to know what to say, don't you?", asked a cheery Mina with a fist bump to Erik's arm.
"Only to those I like.", answered Erik as he pulled his hair back and sent a smile to the pink teen. The now reddened Mina returned the smile back as her golden pupils lingered on the German boy for a while. In the last minutes of them gazing into each other, Eijiro reached for the Magneto helmet and put it on. He would mention how manly it felt on his head. Upon seeing it, Mina also reaches for the helmet to wear it. Erik thought about taking it back, but decided that it was a long day and believed that they could use the fun.
"Glad to see you kept to your responsibility as class president, Iida. Now that reinforcements have arrived, apprehending the enemy will be done with ease. Though not to sound ungrateful, I calculated that you would have arrived earlier with the help.", said Doom to Iida as the Latverian teen surveyed the two groups of vehicles that arrived to take away the arrested villains. There were two lines. One for armored vehicles and one for ambulances.
"To my great shame, there were obstacles that hindered my progress to reach the school. It was quite odd actually that so much had tried to stop me from returning to Yuuei.", explained Iida as he recalled the odd occurrences that slowed him down. He mentioned several stop lights going off at irregular times, sudden traffic, and even a fire hydrant shooting a stream of water. It really wouldn't surprise Victor von Doom that the villains got someone trailing Iida as he got out. The only thing wrong with that theory would be that he and Erik held Kurogiri back long enough for such a retaliation to not succeed. The only other possibilities would be that the villains had someone to watch the outside ahead of time or some other party outside of the villains had gotten involved with today's escalation. The first could be proven wrong for the fact that all their adversaries were ordered to kill all that they see. It would be pointless to stoll Iida when it could be simple to just kill him. After everything, coincidences are unacceptable. A third party was at play during all of this, but why? And who? For now, the current assessment with the police has his attention.
Overall, it wasn't the worst day they had. They had finally gotten a taste of what counted as villainy in this country. Other than that thing called Nomu, the threat they faced today wasn't anything they couldn't handle. But if there was anything these four specifically knew about villainy, it was that seeing one villain is like seeing a pest. Leave one alive and then it becomes an infestation. As the four looked to their classmates, they could tell that this day had altered all of them in an immense way. Though the young Japanese teens didn't show it with their faces, eyes and voices spoke of true shock and anxiousness on the fact that they came so close to death. Some were serious and knew that this experience was what they unfortunately needed to understand the full weight of the life of a pro-hero. Some decided to converse with one another to get their minds off the stress. All chatter died when the detective arrived on scene and approached them.
"Alright, SHIELD youths follow me for the required report on the incident. Students follow the deputy to the bus that will take you home.", said Detective Tsukauchi to all the teens. Before the four reincarnate could make the report to the detective, Tsuyu chirped in with concern for Aizawa.
"From what the medics have told me, he's actually doing just fine if his charts say otherwise. They say if it wasn't for the one SHIELD youth that healed him, then he likely would be layers deep in casts and bandages. He just needs some rest and he'll be back teaching and hero performing in a day. As for Thirteen, since she's fully conscious, she's with the Yuuei faculty discussing on which the villains could be identified.", confirmed Tsukauchi. Everything reaffirmed and explained, the students were escorted to the bus as three of the SHIELD youths met with the detective. The only one that didn't manage to catched up to Izuku and pulled him into what he hopes to be a brief discussion.
"Hey Green Bean, it's probably best for you to go home after you return to school. Me and the guys will have to report to JD HQ after a talk with the authorities.", whispered Creed to Izuku. The green haired teen looked to his neighbor to get a more elaborated answer.
"But Creed, what about All-Might? I should wait for him at the school to see if he's okay.", Izuku questioned. Much to the Canadian's tiredness, he elaborated why.
"As far as I could tell, All-Might is fine and he would prefer you be somewhere safe. For protocol sake and to get Doom off my ass, I'm going to have to treat every villain attack directed and indirected to you as really serious shit. To sum it up, you need to stay near people you know and a place that's safe. Besides, you can call All-Might when you're home. Can you do that?", elaborated Creed to the green headed fanboy. Izuku looked back at the canadian teen and nodded back to confirm.
"I know that you're just doing your mission, Creed. But did you ever think that maybe I should better improve my control if I at least help in the conflict. How am I supposed to learn if your team keeps me on the sidelines?", asked Izuku with a sense of impatience. It was then that he felt a hard grip on his shoulder and looked up to see Creed's serious scowl.
"You can't learn if you end up dead. What happened back there wasn't a school thing. That was real. You see those guys over there.", said Creed as he pointed to the sight of beaten and bloodied thugs who were carried into ambulances. Izuku also noticed that some had claw marks that ran small rivers of blood.
"I did that. Each one of those punks were told to kill any of us and they won't hesitate. I shoved Brock to the same warp gate that sucked you up, because if you use that glass cannon of yours then you're just a sitting duck. With him there, he would heal your wounds and give you time to get out of dodge. Listen, I get it. It's annoying to be the pup of the pack, but you need to remember that you're carrying precious cargo. Any of those freaks even get a hint of a connection between you and the number one. You'll be on way too many hit lists for even SHIELD to keep count. I'll try to look out for you as a bud, but now I'm telling you as a bodyguard to stay safe. You understand?", sternly reaffirmed Creed as Izuku looked down. The green-haired teen then nodded in confirmation and quickly jogged to the rest of the class. The Canadian teen himself turned to catch up with his squad.
The SHIELD youths had spoken with Detective Tsukauchi. The events of today's attack on the USJ facility will be told in three perspectives for different fronts. A safe fabrication for the media. The full recollected report for the concerning agency of the heroes that helped that day. A highly detailed mapping of the entire scenario that goes into far more specifics of the villains actions. This mapping was made solely by Victor von Doom of course and will be sent to the SHIELD Japanese Division. Much to the Latverian teen's annoyance, he had to make an abridged version for the public safety commission.
After their briefing with their superiors, the four reincarnated former villains waited to be dismissed by Jimmy Woo in the training room. There, the four of them were in their own thoughts and haven't spoken since the ride to the Japanese Division HQ. Creed laid on top of a pile of landing mats that are usually used for gymnastics training. He thought about the talk he had with Izuku. Contemplating if their group were just sheltering the little nerd. Then again, his neighbor should at least be grateful that their group was making it easier for One for All to stay a secret. Erik was floating in the air in a lotus position. Shifting his index finger to twirl a metallic dumbbell, the German teen thought about the villain attack and how pathetically unorganized it was. If their goal truly was to kill All-Might, then they should have invested more in that Nomu creature instead of a horde of imbeciles. Eddie was clinging to a wall with his back against its surface. He kept thinking about that moment when he got to taste brain for the first time in years. He felt sick that it happened so soon in a school year, but his Klyntar biology was at the urge of salivating for more of that monster's flesh. That Nomu was something else. He had human flesh before as the child vigilante "Lethal Protector". However, the opponent he fought today tasted like a meal that was crafted by all the world's finest chefs. If the League of villains end up getting freaks in their ranks, then he might lose himself to his Klyntar side faster than he expected.
As those three were in their own thoughts, Victor von Doom was very much enraptured in his. The frustrating events happening in Europe. The final touches to his mark 1, along the last few series of tests. The odd anomaly that occurred when his quirk accidentally intertwined the quirk of Kurogiri. A mysterious third party that watches them during their school periods. Perhaps it would be beneficial for the long run if he accelerated the production of his surveillance drones. The laws of the country matter little to him anyway. Besides, anonymous hints to police never hurt anyone. Heavens above know that they need all the help they could get since their paychecks are used up in the reconstruction of a villain attack. Recalling today's threat has had him thinking of how his Mark 1 would fare against Nomu. It has flight, so superior mobility. Durability is still in question. Sure, it's made of lightweight adamantium, but it was experimental. It has yet to pass all weapon compatibility tests. Damn, this current ages' technology.
"I see you four had some with the local game. How was the USJ trip? Because from what we heard from the police radiolines, Creed was the only one getting his ass kicked.", a familiar mocking voice asked out to the four.
Squad Doom looks to the far entrance of the training room to see Squad Belova walking up to them. They were in their costumes, still in fine condition and had not gone through a villain fight the whole day. The Latverian, German, American, and Canadian got off their seats and conversed with their sister squad.
"Wanna say that again, Jersey?", snarled Creed to Arthur Parks who was the one who asked before.
"Don't start you two. Doom, are you sure that there is another group involved in Japan?", asked Yelena cautiously.
"I'm not one to make a farce about potential enemies, Belova. Especially when my instincts and intuition call such a fact.", said Doom to his fellow squad leader.
"Do you think it might be the Sons of Da Vinci? We haven't encountered them ever since the Punisher killed one of their top agents back in Italy. They could be retaliating for their lost by targeting the youth department.", pondered Yelena as she reminds herself that the amount of information that SHIELD has acquired of the Sons was very low. Especially since Frank killed their only known member.
"They're a likely suspect, but so is Hydra. This stalemate in Europe has gone long enough and they aren't ones to let their enemies last as long. The Thunderbolts must really hurry before I suggest to Director Carter that this Japan project is a waste of time. SHIELD's investigation into quirk singularity has taken too much of my attention. Whether it be All-Might or this All for One, I hardly see the point to not just remove Izuku Midoriya from Japanese soil and to a more secure location.", declared Doom.
"Just love to hear yourself talk. Listen, Izuku may be a little bitch, but he'll get there. He just needs a decent fight to shake some progress out of One for All. I'm thinking about training him with some of SHIELD's resources. Hell, we each could train him. He'll get the ass kicking he deserves without the threat of death.", declared Creed with resolution to a goal in mind. That green haired fanboy will become a badass this town needs, whether it will be done painfully or very painfully.
"Truly, you are the paragon of friendship, wildman.", mocked Erik sarcastically with an eyeroll.
"Pain in the ass babysitting job aside, I find it really funny that our two current threats are literal sci-fi Nazis and a cosmic Italian cult. You think we might fight an evil Japanese group? Then we will be fighting the modern Axis.", joked Simon Williams who was currently still in his pyromaniac personality.
"You might get your chances. The USJ incident was caused by a group called the League of Villains. So far, they're trying to make it out to be a serious threat in this country. They could pull it off if they bring more recruits like that Nomu guy. Damn freak gave me and Creed a real beating", noted Eddie as he scratched his arm.
"Nomu, huh? Sounds like a guy I like to meet.", said Caine with a sly grin as he cracked his knuckles.
"Either way, it seems like we're only going to get more disturbances as we stay in Yuuei. Any chance that villains of this League have been identified for the SHIELD database and police files?", asked Yelena to the Latverian.
"The League has three known figureheads at the moment. Two still out there in hiding and the Nomu who is now in police custody. The police wouldn't allow me access to Nomu for a biological scan, but I have informed Agent Woo to acquire a scan for me. The other two are Tomura Shigaraki and Kurogiri. The former has a rapid decomposition quirk and the latter can make portals. I believe these two to be close associates of this All for One person.", explained Doom.
"Sounds like All-Might's arch-nemesis is going to make a very dramatic comeback. Only question is will we be there when that happens? I for one don't see the point of continuing this charade. If Toshinori believes our presence here doesn't warrant cooperation or to share the more sensitive secrets of One for All, then our time is best used in Europe. Hydra is a far more dangerous threat than this Japanese tyrant who has been in hiding for years.", commented Erik who sees their time in Japan as a hindrance to their much bigger mission.
"Well, it sounds like we're having a vote on whether or not we stay in Japan. I say no. It's bad enough that I have to do highschool again in this life and it sucks even more that it's in a language I can barely get. Plus, I'm sick of babysitting a punk who I barely know, let alone in a different class.", proclaimed Arthur Parks.
"Are you serious? Alright, fine. I vote to stay. Anyone else?", said Creed irritated.
"Too many potential adversaries in a country that SHIELD barely holds any influence in could result in harder times to come. At least in Europe, the situation could be dealt with faster and with less involvement from opposing involvement from the locals. I voted to leave Japan.", proclaimed Yelena.
"Well, look at that, Creed. Four whole votes to leave this rock. Unless the rest of you schmucks want to stay.", said Arthur hoping the three remaining males will vote to leave too.
"I vote to stay. Your scanners may tell you one thing about what that quirk is doing to Izuku's body, but I know the whole story every time I had to heal his injuries. All-Might is hiding more than we know. If hiding this is his way of not discouraging Izuku from reaching dream of being a hero, then he's either the worst teacher in the world or that desperate for his student to learn quickly and take the job already. Midoriya needs to pace himself, otherwise that quirk will kill him. That's what the number one was hiding. One for All is a ticking time bomb straight to death. Recovery Girl could heal him, but she's not a long term option. It would feel right to just leave him with no actual support with that power. I say we stay." declared Eddie as he stood next to Creed. This made Doom narrow his eyes at the American and Canadian. His own squad was already divided and it was over some dispute over how to handle an old man's mistake.
"I say stay too. I want to see how far this Izuku can go. In the report you made, Doom, you estimated he is a potential Hulk level threat. That means the biggest and the baddest will come to this country to get their shots. I want to be there when that happens. Besides, Charly needs to finish second grade and he just started.", said Cain with full confidence.
"I say stay too. Caine is right, power can attract a lot of enemies. Hell, even sought after. Hunted even. I wouldn't want Izuku to end up like me. So, me and my multiple personalities say we stay.", announced Simon confidently. And like that, Squad Belova was too divided.
The two sides stare at each other. One that wishes to support Izuku Midoriya. One that wishes to continue their war against Hydra. The tensions were high and debating was far from being an option now.
"You dare stand against your leader, Creed.", said Doom with an edge to his voice.
"Funny. Last time I checked, I never called you my leader. Hell, I agree to it to begin with.", said a cheeky Creed. The Canadian and the Latverian glared at one another. A claw hand ready to counter a fist emitting high concentrated energy.
"ENOUGH", commanded a voice that had much authority over both Victor von Doom and Yelena Belova. The eight reincarnated teens looked to see the Japanese Division Chief, Jimmy Woo. "There are way too many civil wars happening in Europe already. The last thing we need is one occurring in the Youth Division itself.", reprimanded Jimmy to the teens. This made the two squads to reorganize themselves back to their original formation. Once they were all in formation, Jimmy had them wrapped in full attention.
"Alright, Youth Division, here's the rundown of what has happened in the last three days. First, the shitfest that was today. Squad Doom, your Report", proclaimed Jimmy.
From there, they discussed the villain attack. Later, the rescue training that occurred with Squad Belova. They then switched to the Iceland incident which upon discussion left some in concern that not only that the Asgardains actually exist, but apparently a young Odin is the current wielder of Mjolnir. If the adult Odin that some of them knew was such a hard ass, then this teenage Odin may be a whole other storm altogether. At least from what the reports have said, young Odin was actually a lot like the Thor they knew. Boisterous, loud, and excited. Hopefully, not too dangerous. Other than that, the teens have been told that the Wakandans have now made their move to make contact with SHIELD. A skirmish between their king and two of the Thunderbolts raise a few questions.
"The Black Panther wishes to test SHIELD's strength. Seems like a decent enough reason to mobilize and make contact with the Wakandan council ourselves", suggested Doom with much intrigue to once again see the vibranium rich country.
"This issue will be dealt with under the Director's supervision. She's already got enough to deal with just Europe alone and conflict with the Black Panther over whatever business he has in Finland. So far, we don't know what has happened after Frank's message. If the king is somehow dead after their scuffle, then Wankanda will be right up our ass. As all of you may know from your SHIELD schooling as elite members of the Youth Division, the Director and the King had an agreement with concerns over the Hydra situation. For years, the Thunderbolts have used their limitless access to SHIELD resources to rally up local resistance to take the fight at the enemy's doorstep. While a majority of our more combative agents have been stationed in eastern Africa to weed out Hydra operatives in the region, the Wakandans have used the security we've given them to quickly develop to a technological era looking more and more reminiscing that of modern Wakanda from our separate Earths. However, recent events have confirm that Hydra do indeed have their own reincarnates and have recently mobilized them in the region.", announced Jimmy. The JD Chief then pulled out his communicator and transmitted several holographic screens that revealed confestated equipment and weapons. A few also show wounded and killed Wakandans.
The images contain certain callsigns of battle between the country's defense force and an unknown enemy attack force. Obviously, the ones that managed to win were the Dora Milaje. It was the mystery behind who they fought that was really intriguing. The screens at display told a very vivid story of the culprits responsible. A dead Wakandan border tribe member with a glowing green puncture wound to their chest. A pile of dead and burnt border tribe soldiers near a river. Their bodies, though burnt, do have impressions of bullet holes riddled all over them. Customized high caliber guns hidden in secret caches with the grassy fields. Wakandan scientists in hazmat suits carrying disfigured corpses into quarantine tents. Finally, massive clawed indentations on the ground with traces of ash that could have been made by the same fire that was used against the Wakandans.
"We had the Thunderbolts look through some of these. They said that these weapons could have been used by anyone in Hydra. All we do know is that the attackers like guns and fire. The radiation levels are off putting and leave us confused. Then there's this injury with the green substance. Wakandan scientists say that it is a concoction made entirely of hallucinogens and poisons. Sounds like anybody you know, Eddie?", said Jimmy.
"Anyone can use crazy chemicals like those, but that injury is definitely his calling card. Mac Gargan was one of the guys who attacked Wakanda. I just don't get why he would be working with Hydra.", said Eddie as the itch in his arm had returned.
"Maybe for money. All of Europe as a wallet. How can any villain say no?" Said Arthur.
"Or they forced him to work for them. I wouldn't be surprised if Hydra had brainwashed Scorpion to do their bidding.", said Erik.
"I doubt it. This attack force isn't using the usual Hydra armaments or weapons. They're customized with Hydra tech, but it mostly contains easily acquired weapon parts that can be found in any other firearm manufacturer. It's just that they applied scrambling modules to avoid detection from the current Wakandan proximity scanners. These are usually decisions done by independent private military contractors.", explained Doom as he skimmed through the holographic reports.
"Makes sense to send PMC's to Wakanda. They're going to need all their manpower for asskicking in Europe.", said Creed as he looked at the screens showing all the guns.
"Either way, Wakanda has confirmed that there were indeed five combatants and that they have captured one of them. However, they have refused to identify them and relay any information back. Most likely, they believe that us failing in our job in keeping terrorism out of their country ain't a good sign for tolerable allies. So to maintain trust with one another, the Thunderbolts will need to play with the king for now. Thus, Europe is a Thunderbolt problem for the foreseeable future. So, you kids are staying here.", announced Jimmy, ending on a bored tone.
This caused Creed to flip off Doom much to the Latverian's bitterness as the others had to resign themselves to the fate of being highschoolers in Japan.
"Now, hopefully a brighter topic, the Hero Public Safety Commission is starting to become a pain to the JD Branch. I don't want those bureaucrats from the government manipulating every corner of this country's hero community. So, we decided it would be best to maintain Yuuei academy's reputation as a safe and secure school. The staff had agreed to close the school for tomorrow and allow SHIELD licensed contractors to accelerate repairs to the USJ facility for another round of rescue training for Class 1-A within the coming week.", explained Jimmy professionally.
"Wait, okay. Not that I care or anything, but that means their class gets to have the USJ to themselves again. Our Squad hasn't even seen this place yet.", complained Arthur.
"Really, Jersey. You're bitching about not doing rescue training again? Didn't think you turned local so quickly.", mocked Creed.
"I'm not bitching about that. How come you guys get to have the place where the real action is. The villains in this country have to be a bunch of little shit babies if they came out of hiding just to kill highschoolers." Arthur complained further.
"The arrangements have already been set and scheduled. No point in complaining about it now, Parks. Thanks to Doom and Eddie providing medical assistance to Eraserhead and Thirteen that day, those two were assigned again to be the instructors for this new exercise.", informed Jimmy.
"All-Might won't be participating as an instructor in this training. He hardly did much to end the attack and had no noticeable injuries. He should be able to participate next time to make up for not arriving earlier today.", queried Erik.
"Yuuei isn't confirming any updated information for All-Might's involvement in any SHIELD assisted activities. So be it. If they prefer their secrets, then they can keep what little we didn't already know about them. They also plan to spare no expense when it comes to security for a very important upcoming event for Japan. The Yuuei sport festival.", informed Jimmy.
All eight reincarnated teens groaned in pessimism and annoyance at the thought of participating in the sport festival. Jimmy clapped his hands to get them to remain focused. After explaining that it would be inevitable for the eight youth members, he then went further on that the likely chances of having them not attend are very slim less the Director said otherwise. Finally, Jimmy brought another key fact about the festival that it is two weeks away from now.
"So prior to the sport festival, you youth agents have make-up rescue training to look forward to on the first week. Well, Squad Doom does anyway. Squad Belova, for your role during the first week, you'll be volunteering as security for this year's Jump Festa over in Tokyo. It's a manga and anime convention that just so happens to be on a no school day. It's known that many clubs in non-hero schools show up on privately funded trips to this convention. I figured this would help endorse the youth division to various other hero schools and encourage future recruitment for those that don't get accepted to said schools. Also, this will get the HPSC off my back about SHIELD not being a necessary law enforcement entity in Japan.", explained Jimmy. This made Squad Belova look at him in offense.
"Are you serious? We're being security for a building filled with fat sweaty nerds. This got to be some kinda joke, Jimmy." complained Arthur in irritation.
"Come now, Parks. I heard from my cooking class that these public conventions are quite charming. Maybe you might actually learn to feel little open the culture around you that day.", said a smirking Erik as Creed could be heard chuckling from his end. This made the Jersey teen growl in anger.
"What my Squadmate is trying to convey is that our time and talent would be better used for something much more important than an anime convention. Surely, there has to already be police watching over the premises.", said Yelena in concern for being put to such a menial task.
"The police want to put their full attention into investigating the League of Villains and want to perform their duty alongside the pro-heroes for when a major lead has been found. I offered to volunteer in the Youth Division since our young agents had managed to secure the safety of a whole hero class. If Squad Doom can keep a bunch of teenagers safe, then maybe their sister team can keep a small fraction of the public safe. As well as endorse SHIELD being local friendly.", explained Jimmy further.
"Even if it is nice to one up these assholes, who the hell is going to attack an anime convention? I doubt something that Charley watches every saturday morning is worth committing a crime for.", said Caine nonchalantly.
"You let Xavier watch such dribble?!", said Erik, irritated.
"It's not like this country has anything safe and American to show when he's bored. Plus, I'm still trying to set up the stream sites and block some of the rated R shit.", reasoned Caine tiredly.
"Okay, focus. Believe it or not, these conventions are actually at risk in this country. Back in the 21st century, these events were a mandatory thing for this nation to continue the endorsement of their top paying products. However, the arrival of quirks later down the line made such events world wide nearly a public risk. As we all know, a world where pretty much everybody has superpowers didn't really stop the concept of discrimination. Actually it got worse on this earth we were reborn in. sure, it won't be villains that you'll be watching to keep out of the event. But sometimes, criminals don't always have costumes to wear when they're causing crime. For that day, it's the most suspicious of the locals that you'll need to survelle for to prevent unfortunate occurrences. Perform a good job at security duty and that will earn SHIELD a decent favor with the Japanese people for allowing a beloved tradition to be proven manageable in this dangerous world. Is that understood?", affirmed Jimmy.
"Roger.", confirmed Squad Belova reluctantly.
"The second week before the sports festival should be a relatively uneventful week. Allowing your focus to be put on either school work or your own personal tasks. And with that, you're all dismissed. Enjoy your next two weeks.", said Jimmy Woo as he took his leave of the training room.
The two squads conversed a little more until finally leaving for the day to their apartments. Yelena Belova, Arthur Parks, and Simon Williams returned to their apartments after having an uneventful day. Cain Marko returned to his home with take out dinner for him and the young Charles who was dropped off by a SHIELD caretaker who had a copy of the key of the apartment. The young Marko is just grateful that Charley is doing okay in Masegaki Primary School. From what he heard, it sounded like an elementary school for uncontrollable little shits. Hopefully, his little brother made a good impression.
For the four members of Squad Doom, they each had their own personal chores to commence once they were each home. Erik Lesher kept to himself as he cooked a nutritious meal with music lightly playing in the background. Though he did enjoy the peace and space from his Squad, he oh so hated the isolation. It felt a lot different from the dorm on the Helicarrier or the turbulent shelters of the European battle zones. There was always another voice to listen to. He supposed, like many things, this is something he'll need to get used to.
Victor Creed had to subject himself to whatever cringy show he could watch. The young Logan was doing his homework on the dining table and thankfully wasn't in a bad mood. The older Canadian teen guesses that maybe his little brother has finally gotten things figured out in his middle school. His thoughts then shifted to Izuku. The green-haired fanboy really wants to improve his quirk, but he wants to put himself in harm's way to do it. Perhaps later in the two weeks, he'll have a hand at training Green Bean if the little runt really wants to experience a proper ass kicking.
Eddie Brock wasn't feeling so well. After the attack on the USJ, his body had been going through odd sensations. Most of which were painful. It started with scratching and small headaches. Surprisingly and worryingly, he wasn't even hungry enough to eat dinner. Later, the full body had started to occur. But why, this doesn't usually happen to him. He thought about what could have done this. Was it something he caught? He then remembered. Nomu. Whatever that freak was made up of was affecting him in a way. He tried to reach for his communicator to call Doom, but nauseousness and exhaustion had finally taken its toll. The young Eddie Brock had then fallen to the floor unconscious, unaware of the changes occurring in his body.
Victor von Doom had quite enough of today's troubles. Izuku's childishness, these annoying extracurricular tasks, and then there was this mockery of an enemy calling themselves the League of Villains. So many problems, so little time. Oh how he planned to at least get a full night's rest, but his dedication to his work takes more importance. In his secret laboratory and workshop underneath his apartment complex, his artificial intelligence servant, Boris, kept maintenance over the currently completed Mark 1 armor.
"Good afternoon, Boris. How's the current software update?", asked Doom as he picked up a welding tool.
"The new installment has perfected all proper integrations for both flight, combat, and quirk filtering systems. All of which is done to prevent another incident with the power supply.", said Boris analytically.
"Yes, well, the current stage of my technology is still hindered by this generation's incompetence to create proper material for energy converters. Of course, they had never had to deal with my genius and my version of the arc reactor. However, I make due with what I got. With my switchblade tech, my Mark 1 will be an entire arsenal of the best weapon of my design. Speaking of such genius weapon designs, Boris, run through the complete functionality list after you finish the installment.", said Doom as he noticed a loose panel on his holographic projection station.
"Already finished, master. Beginning functionality measurements. The Victor von Doom manufactured combat armament unit mark 1. Simplistic designation "The newly dubbed Infamous Iron Man Mark 1. Based heavily from memory of the Iron Man Model mark 12. Tony Stark's first iteration of the Neuromimetic Telepresence Unit 150. Now with the current software updates, lightweight Adamantium modulations, and the perfected switchblade brand of technology manufactured only by Victor von Doom, this armor can be summoned as a suit or as a neurally linked assist unit with options of auto-pilot or controlled. Neural link can be achieved through physical contact with any device that holds connection with the armor. Current durability level ranges in between a combined force of a dozen nuclear bombs to a destructive force that could annihilate a mass as large as Manhattan. A slim, detachable beta particle generator and micro solar converters will act as back power sources for when the arc reactor ceases functioning. The latest battle computer installment can track up to 60 enemy combatants.", immensely explained Boris.
"I am fully aware of its top speed and flight mobility from our field testing. What of the armor's weapon system?", asked Doom as he began welding a loose panel shut.
"Mark 1 has recently integrated new weapon types. Running weapon diagnostics. Currently installed weapons are the Unibeam and Repulsors with secondary Pulse Bolt firing. The Unibeam has the main purpose of unleashing an immense blast of condensed particle energy. As well as secondary modes that allow search light, heat emitting, tractor beam, concentrated laser, image inducer, ultraviolet light emitting, and EMP blast. Also it's important to note that overuse of the Unibeam will drain the armor's power faster. The Repulsors serve as your primary firing, allowing single rate firing of small concentrated blasts. Its secondary mode, Pulse Bolts, allows rapid fire of small, slightly weaker, concentrated blasts. The rest of the weapon components come in as a range of linkable modules for armor's interior or detachable modification to armor's exterior. However, this current iteration can only allow two more weapon installations. For yours to pick from, the available options are Heat Beam with secondary mode of Heat Lance, Disruptor Field, Sonic Distorter with secondary emitter, Flamethrower, Shoulder-mounted gatling gun with various ammunition types, Micro-rocket Launcher, Particle beam with secondary Coherent beam weapon, Taser, Tear gas, Pulsar beam, and Fiber wire grabbling cables. Oh, and something that you designated as Project Far Far Away.", explained Boris.
"Ah yes, that pet project of mine. I can't believe I haven't finished it. I suppose I'll have to get back to that at a later date. Now, what about the armor's defense systems.", asked Doom.
"The Mark 1's defense systems are functions previously introduced with the lightweight Adamantium exterior and Unibeam. Though, you do have options that have been installed thanks to the latest upgrades. An energy shield that could expand from personal exposure to a 12 meters in circumference. Absorption grid for absorbing energy attacks and converting to power supply. QBE, a Quirk Bodily Enhancement unit which allows less stress and deterioration of the wearer's body when quirk is being used. If the armor is low on power, the QBE will work less effectively. Tactical decoy unit, this comes in the form of a bodily-mounted device that launches three micro drones all of which can emit a hologram of the armor. This of course is currently not integrated with the armor upon your request. Side note, the drone upgrades will be done by tomorrow. Next and finally, Anti-intrusion systems ranging from full body lock-up, electro shock emitter, and full disintegration self-destruct.", explained Boris. The young Doom then examined the armor's helmet.
"What of its sensors?", asked Doom curiously. He needed to make sure everything was there.
"Completed access to the worldwide web, a powerful firewall of your design to avoid wireless hijacking, radar, sonar, infrared, ultrasound, EM sonar, and life detector.", answered Boris.
Victor von Doom then placed the helmet back and looked at his armor with a proud smile.
"It's perfect. Now then, let me see the reports from agent Jimmy Woo. I need to look at what made Nomu so precious that the imbeciles thought that it could kill All-Might.", ordered Doom.
"Very well, master.", said Boris. The holographic projection station then lit up to reveal everything Jimmy Woo had collected. Analyzing it all, Victor von Doom sat on his chair and let the tips of his fingers touch as he was lost in thought. This League of Villains. They were sloppy. Pathetic. Stupid. But, it is dangerous. If left by themselves. Looking at his armor and wondering how well it might do against another attack of this group, he believes that he is once again right as always. Villains are so annoying.

Next Chapter - The Two Weeks Arc
