We continue where we last left off with I-no and Happy Chaos driving through a long road of trees with no sign of any other vehicles or visible destination. I-no was bored out of her mind, all this new power and she's stuck watching the trees so out of boredom she just starts saying "Tree, tree, tree…"
Chaos could tell she was bored and told her "Keep that up and you'll drive yourself mad."
"Well it's not like this car has a radio or anything, plus you haven't even told me anything about where we're even going?"
"People these days, it's all about the journey, not the destination. You confused your goals for your duties and it's stressing ya all out. Forgive me for being indelicate here, but you're cursed. You were born without something people need, desire. It's not something like the common cold which you can fix with some ginger tea and a hot bath no no no. It's a miracle you have any emotions at all, so good job society for that one."
I-no scoffed "What, do you want me to start singing culture's praises inside of a convertible, once you confuse cost for class you lose sight of yourself."
Chaos let out a chuckle "Spare the philosophy I-no, I don't even have a self to lose sight of anymore."
"Like you're one to talk, got nothing in that pointy head of yours?"
"You see that's the thing, the problem is… there's too much in here." Chaos pointed at his head and stared at I-no with a big creepy smile on his face.
"Hm…so tell me what's our plan for achieving godhood?"
"Oh right, now where do I start…? See I have been watching the world the past 100 years and I must say there's never been a better time to execute this plan. Currently an old student of mine started a plan to create a new world and it's all starting at Beacon academy, underneath Beacon there's a relic hidden behind a very special door that not even I can get through, but I know exactly where the key is." Chaos in his hand showed a projection of a book with a large gear on it.
"The tome of origin, an ancient book that holds nearly every answer in the universe and is where The Original wrote down all of his knowledge including the key to open the vaults. Unfortunately the book is currently held by one of my students, Asuka or currently known as That Man. But lucky for us Asuka will be headed to Beacon academy real soon because he and Oz have a plan. Right now we are headed to the upper class district to go pick up a friend of mine."
"So where do I come into this?" I-no questioned
"Oh you'll see."
Sol and Aria drive through the interstate to reach the upper class district. It was one long bridge that had a great view of the ocean, Sol would expect Aria to be thrilled but she's been more down than usual since the day they stopped Roman's scheme back at the docks a few days ago. He asked Aria "What's the problem Aria?"
"I'm just… I don't know what to think right now." Aria told Sol.
"Aria were best friends, you can tell me whatever you want."
"I just can't stop thinking about the White Fang, when I think I'm finally free from my past it comes back to haunt me. I know I shouldn't care about the White Fang anymore but they were my people and they are being manipulated by that scumbag Roman."
"Huh… I can understand your worry about your people, I've been thinking that there's more to this Roman guy other than just stealing dust. But you gotta chill out Aria, you aren't one of them anymore and you gotta learn to let go of the past."
"It's just not that simple Sol… do you know who Adam Taurus is?"
"Adam Taurus… can't say it rings a bell."
"He's one of the most dangerous men I know, he is the current leader of the Vale division of the White Fang. He was a mentor to me, Ramlethal, and Elphelt but him and I were…close. I know him better than anyone and he would never work with humans, especially one like torchwick."
"So you think we should do something about it?"
"Where would we even start Sol?"
"Hell if I know, we need to talk with Ky and Baiken about this."
"As if Ky would want to go with this idea, I bet he'd say some stuff like, we must let the professional huntsman deal with this because if we get caught blah blah blah blah." Aria said doing an exaggerated impression of Ky which made Sol laugh a bit.
"Well we can only find out when we ask them. Hey what the hell is that in the sky…?" Sol and Aria looked up at the Sky of the upper class district in the distance, a red light that seemed to grow brighter as a giant beam of light came down and obliterated the tallest building in the distance with Sol and Aria in complete shock.
"Sol what the hell was that?!" Aria asked
"I don't know, we have to find out." Sol revved his motorcycle and speed towards the upper district.
We come to I-no and Chaos who have reached their destination in the upper district as they park their car and got out to find Chaos' "friend". Chaos stretched and took in the beauty of the upper class district "Wow, look how far we gotten huh? Back during the crusades it was nothing but wasteland from here to Forever fall."
"Are you sure that your friend can help us? What can he even do?" I-no asked Chaos
"Well my old student has some of her followers in Vale, and the last time we met let's just say she wasn't all too happy to see me. So my friend here is gonna be our bargaining chip to get in her good graces again, he's more or less immortal and his weapon is a one of a kind, goes through aura like butter."
Chaos and I-no arrive at the center of the upper class district where a giant tower was in front of them which made I-no ask Chaos "Your friend rich or a celebrity?"
"The price he's paid makes top floor rent look like peanuts, for about an entire century he's been stuck underground." Happy Chaos snapped his fingers as a red light came from the sky and destroyed the building in front of them. I-no guarded herself but they were protected by a barrier Chaos set up shielding them from the blast. What once was a giant building was turned into a giant crater as no one inside the building survived. Around them were screams of panic as people were hurt and they could hear sirens blaring, as the dust settled I-no and Chaos saw that all that was left was a statue of a man sitting on his knees as it began to crack showing that there was a man inside. The man was large and heavily built wearing a white mask with a red symbol on it and dreadlocks put into a ponytail. He wore a white coat and beside him was a gigantic samurai sword, he didn't move from his position and spoke directly to Chaos "I'll kill you!"
Chaos walked up to him and said "Is that anyway to speak to an old friend Nagoriyuki? I think you meant to say you'll erase me because you can't kill what's already dead." Nagoriyuki had electricity coming out of his body as he moved his body clearly in pain and yelled at Chaos "Die!"
"Alright let's see if this still works, raise your right hand." Chaos commanded Nagoriyuki as Chaos put up his right hand as an example.
"I…re…fuse!" The samurai struggled as his hand had a black glyph around his wrist forcing him to raise his right hand as Chaos' magic lifted the man onto his feet. Chaos freed the man as he stood up with his mask being shown to be mechanical and folded back to show his face.
"Now let's loosen those joints." Chaos said as Nagoriyuki dashed to Chaos it was so fast that it almost looked as it the man teleported to him, right as he was about to deliver a lethal blow to Chaos the attack was intercepted by I-no as her guitar clashed against his sword. Chaos simply walked away from the confrontation and I-no had an expression of madness, she wanted to fight this man as even with her new found strength and power she was struggling to hold this clash with Nagoriyuki as she used her semblance to kick the man away as he slid back. "I don't know who you are woman but I have no business with you."
"Oh but we do, I'm going to be your new boss so don't disappoint me darling." I-no dashed to fit the man with her guitar as Nagoriyuki dashed out of the way and hit her with the dull part of his blade, sending her flying away but I-no was able to stop herself mid flight and come back crashing down onto the man. "Not bad."
"You have yet to see true power you fiend." The Samurai closed his eyes and opened them as his once white eyes had turned black with green Irises as the man looked for her weak points. He found them and opened his mouth as his teeth sharpened showing that he wasn't a human, but he lacked any animalistic traits to make him a faunus. He sent a flurry of slashes directed to the left side of her body as
I-no was forced to block as he was dashing around her sending blow after blow as she is unable to do anything and inevitably he landed a blow that cut right through her aura and hit her stomach which made her counter attack with her kicking the man away with her semblance. She had a big wound but she could feel her aura working overtime to heal it back as she looked down and it was already starting to close up. I-no started playing her guitar and started to send music notes to fire at Nagoriyuki, but the samurai did not care and walked through the projectiles with his body showing no signs of damage. The smile on I-no's face turned to fear as the man changed up a slash using his aura as his blade grew and turned a blood red color as he swung his blade and I-no closed her eyes to brace for the upcoming attack. But I-no didn't get hit as she opened her eyes to see the blade was centimeters away from her neck as she started to pant, Chaos had restricted Nagoryuki's movements as he grunted trying to move to no avail. "What a performance I-no, you actually held your own against a nightless, even if it was for a little bit. Don't think of this as a loss though, I have much to teach you in the future but for now we better get out of here before your face is plastered over every tv in Remnant." Chaos told I-no as he created a portal for them to flee the scene.
"You could teleport us the whole time?" I-no said annoyed that she had to drive for hours with Chaos when they could have easily teleported.
"What did I say earlier my pupil, it's about the journey not the destination, come we have to talk business now." Chaos walked through the portal with I-no and Nagoriyuki following suit. Chaos and company are now outside a group of warehouses where multiple members of the White Fang were moving equipment around. One member spotted Chaos and moved in with another grunt and pulled guns onto them "You took a wrong turn, the exit is back where you came."
"Oh wonderful, can you take me to your boss? I have some business to discuss with him." Chaos asked which made the grunts more angry "Leave now you freak!"
Happy Chaos in an instant grabbed one of the grunt's heads as his partner was freaked out as the faunus had a new head placed upon him, a giant rabbit-like head that had a row of teeth and a message on the front saying "Love you" on top of a prohibited symbol. "Of course sir right away." The now possessed white fang member said as his partner couldn't understand what was happening and started to panic before Chaos did the same thing to him.
Inside one of the warehouses was Roman who was now visited by Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black who were returning after finishing a "job" in vale. Roman turned around and in a sarcastic tone exclaimed "Ah look she sent the kids again, this is turning out just like the divorce." Roman said, hugging the kids' heads as they pushed him away in disgust with Emerald saying "Spare us the thought of you procreating with anyone."
"That was a joke, and this-" Roman held out a note that he pickpocketed from Emerald "Might just tell me where you two have been all day."
"Wha- how did you do-"
"I'm a professional sweetheart, pay attention and you might be able to learn something. Now why do you have this address?" Roman asked the two.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"Yeah I would, where have you two been?"
Mercury now spoke up and said to Roman "We were out doing your jobs, one of them at least."
"I had that under control." Roman said clearly pissed at both Emerald and Mercury.
"Two bags and a ticket to Vacuo says otherwise."
"Listen you little punk, if it were up to me I would have you and your little street rat friend here-"
"Do what exactly Roman?" a voice echoed interrupting Roman as the woman in glass heels stepped down from a platform to the three arguing.
"I'd uh…not kill them." Roman said clearly worried at the woman's presence.
"Cinder!" Emerald was excited to see the woman but Cinder was not too happy with her subordinates not following her orders.
"Roman, did I not tell you to deal with the run away already?
"Well I was going to-"
"He was going to escape to Vacuo, Mercury and I went out of our way to kill the rat." Emerald explained to Cinder.
"I think he was some sort of cat." Mercury said to Emerald
"What? Like a Puma?"
"Yeah exactly."
"Quiet you two." Cinder commanded as both Emerald and Mercury had their lips sealed. "Did I not specifically instruct you two to keep your hands clean while we were in Vale?" Cinder asked her subordinates as Roman was making fun of the two for getting in trouble with cinder.
"I just thought-"
"Don't think, obey."
"...yes ma'am, it won't happen again."
"And you-" Cinder faced Torchwick as she didn't forget about his mistakes. "Why was this job not done sooner?"
"Eh, eh, eh!" Roman presented all the metal crates of dust that were all over the warehouse to show that he was getting work done "Sorry, if I have been busy stealing every speck of dust in the kingdom, it's not exactly a job that leaves a lot of time open to kill one little rat."
"You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask." Mercury joked with Emerald snickering.
"Listen lady I have the whole kingdom scared, dust prices are through the roof, police around every corner, and we are sitting on more dust crystals, vials, and rounds that we know what to do with! Speaking of which, if you guys would let me in on your grand master plan it might make my next string of robberies go a lot smoother." Roman complained to Cinder who didn't take the man's complaints seriously.
"Oh Roman, have a little faith, you'll know what you need when you need to know it. Besides, we're done with stealing dust, have the White Fang clear out the buildings, I'll send you details and coordinates because we are proceeding to phase 2." Cinder went for the exit as Roman went to go light a cigar but everyone stopped what they were doing hearing gunshots from outside the door as multiple White fang members were incapacitated as Happy Chaos came to the scene alongside I-no and Nagoriyuki, also a group of White Fang soldiers who were now possessed by Chaos as he was holding one of the black revolvers he owned.
"My my, it looks like my student finally learned how to make herself some friends. She seems to have a tight operation going on here, well done indeed." Chaos complimented as he now turned to face Cinder.
"Cinder, who is this guy?" Emerald asked.
"I'm not sure but he surely doesn't mean well, Bedman deal with this intruder." Cinder commanded as a man sleeping in a mechanical bed came from seemingly nowhere as the bed rolled up in front of Cinder and transformed into its attack form.
The head of the bed turned over and started to speak to Cinder "Cinder as we may be working together I do not take orders from you. I'm here because the mistress put us here and while we may be allies don't mistake this as you having authority over me as that is simply not the case. You may refer to me next time by simply asking or not saying anything at all as I knew there were intruders the minute they stepped into this facility. If our mission here is to work then you will use the correct form of speech next time." Bedman ranted on as everyone seemed to be annoyed by this.
"Romeo! Still the chatterbox as usual. So how has my student been doin, it's been more than a century since we last spoke." Chaos walked up to Bedman as the head of the bed spinned towards him.
"My teacher, it has been far too long, this operation is bound for disaster and it feels like I was assigned here to be a chaperone." Bedman spoke to Chaos as Cinder and her subordinates felt insulted by him.
"Chaos you know this guy?" I-no asked.
"Oh yeah, Romeo meet my newest disciple I-no, and I-no meet Romeo or as you may call him Bedman. We have some big plans for her but that will be more important later, but for now I'm here to offer my assistance in my student's grand plan but we aren't exactly buddy buddy so I need you to get me in touch. Tell her that I have one of her lost dogs."
"I doubt she will be happy to see you have returned from your imprisonment, but I will attempt to convince her."
"Wonderful, now about that woman in the glass slippers." Chaos pointed at Cinder as he had a huge smile on his face. "When were you gonna tell me that you found one with the maiden powers?"
