"Stay away from my friend, you fiend!" Maple 2 cries out, jumping in front of Catherine.

"Shhh... Maple 2, I can handle this. I've handled her before," Catherine says, getting out from behind Maple 2.

"Oh! So now the little one is on your side? How did you convince her?" Doom asks, chuckling evilly.

"I didn't convince her, she convinced herself!" Catherine argues.

"Well, in either case... I'm here to bargain again. Join me or die, star-bearer!" Doom says with a snarl.

"Neither! I'm off to save the world!" Catherine snaps.

"Nice one, Star-Bearer...we all know you just want to stop Groudon because he's stealing YOUR job," Doom says.

"What's she talking about?" Maple 2 asks.

"Oh, are you unaware, smaller Maple...? Your friend here is secretly a doom-bringer!" Doom announces.

"Shut up, it isn't true!" Catherine cries out.

"Then why have you killed so many people?!" Doom asks.

"ENOUGH!" Catherine shrieks.

In an instant, Catherine uses Earthquake as chosen from Metronome. Maple 2 is hurt more by Earthquake than Doom. As a result, the Pichu ends up fainting. Doom shudders, but stays put.

"See? Everywhere you go, Doom follows..." Doom says.

Catherine is exhausted, breathing heavily. Earthquake is one of the strongest moves she can summon. Her eyes shift to focus on Maple 2. Catherin's brow furrows in concern, seeing her fainted friend.

"Face it, Star-Bearer...you are evil..." Doom says, approaching.

"No! I don't want to! I don't want to join you, either!" Catherine cries out.

"Silly little mouse! You STILL defy me!" Doom growls and pounces on Catherine.

"Get off of me!" Catherine cries out.

Catherine struggles, trying to break free. Doom has both of her forepaws firmly planted on the Pikachu. Catherine cannot squiggle away.

"You're mine..." Doom taunts.

The vicious Houndoom opens her jaws wide. Only a few more moments and she would be consuming the plump yellow mouse. Suddenly, a bolt of blue lightning strikes Doom's tail!

"OWWWWW!" Doom howls.

Doom leaps really high into the air, the electricity surging through her body. She lands, still frazzled. Catherine and Doom look around the direction the lightning bolt came from. Standing a little ways away is the blue-cheeked Pikachu.

"Who dares hurt Doom?!" Doom snarls.

"Pikatu!" Pikatu cries out, pointing to himself.

"Ah, yes...a product of Star-Bearer's foolishness," Doom says, approaching.

"Tu!" Pikatu cries out.

Pikachu shocks Doom again. The Houndoom yelps in agony. She springs up into the air again.

"Great job, kid," Catherine says.

Before Doom can respond, Catherine shoves the Houndoom's head into a hole in the sand. She then snatches up Pikatu in one arm and Maple 2 in the other arm. Catherine hops into the sub and locks the door before Doom can unstick herself.

"Now, how did this go again?" Catherine asks, grinning at a control panel.

"Hey! Come on out and fight me! You coward!" Doom cries out, scratching at the door.

"Turn the key...pull the switch...enter a code..." Catherine mutters to herself.

As Catherine does each step, she repeats the order out loud. The control panel is VERY difficult for her to handle as it was made for humans. Catherine starts up the sub and drives it into the water where it belongs. Doom howls angrily as her victim escapes into the ocean. Catherine sighs in relief.

"COWARD!" Doom shrieks one last time, losing sight of the sub.

The Houndoom continued staring at the dehydrating ocean for a long time. There is nothing she can do about this and her helplessness frustrates her. Doom runs off to find some more chaos to cause. Meanwhile, the friend group begins seeking out both Maple 2 and Pikatu.
