"Mikoto is hungry" she declared to Touma as they were just lying about in his apartment.
While Index was busy playing with Sphynx ignoring the two of them at the moment.
"Why do you even feel hungry when you are just a robot" Touma complained "Also your bad habit is appearing again you know"
"Mikoto does not *shaking her head* I do not know what you are talking about," she said
Touma just sighed as the first Index now he was housing someone else similar to her.
"Curse my rotten luck" Touma declares while thinking at least she does not add to the food bill but still…..
"Touma, Maika is here" Index informed him
"Mikoto can you just go sit down over there for now," he told her
"Fine but we will continue this later," she said doing just that
He was not sure why but if depending on how he spoke to her she would actually follow his order but would not be aware she was doing it herself.
Answering the door Maika was sitting on the cleaning robot as she usually was with it spinning her around constantly.
"Greetings Touma," Maika said gleefully
"So is there something you want," he asked her
After the Maid Robot Project was revealed to the world as a means to cover up, one called Maika Tscuhimikado was no longer required to attend school for maid training anymore. As well as the fact that she was not human was also revealed to the world as well (Unlike Mikoto and Misaka whose true selves as robots were still kept hidden). The reason she was attending mad school despite being a robot herself was to interact with other humans and learn not how to be a maid but how to deal with various people.
"I am just here to deliver this month's payment," she told him.
"You are late," Mikoto told her from where she was sitting
"Things happened as I have duties to attend to as a maid at headquarters," she told her
After being revealed to be a robot a lot of her actions made sense. For one how she was able to remain on that cleaning robot that constantly spinning for one. Since Touma was looking after Mikoto they needed someone who would check on both of them from time to time. Though Maika has been outed as a robot herself it did not really endanger Mikoto or Misaka 10032 (who also kind of stayed there but was out most of the time doing other things dealing with the remaining Misakas or duties as one herself) revealing existence as one.
The Maid Robot Project that she was now seen as a prototype of had many versions of her roaming around the city. Their purpose was to support the cleaning robots in their duties but serve as maids of the general public to a degree. If someone needed help then a Miaka would give it. If direction were needed then they would provide them. There were so many roaming around that very few were even able to notice the prototype that mixed with them all. Maika was able to get around without being noticed as long as she acted like how one of the general models of her acted.
The payment that Maika was talking about was a rather large envelope that Touma called over Index to carry into the house.
"I will be in touch if something else is needed," Maika told him as she then left them behind.
Returning to headquarters where she reported that the payment for the month to Touma and Mikoto had been delivered. Once that was done she was dismissed to finish up the rest of her duties as a maid for the day.
Once that was done she went to her room which she had within headquarters but within a more secure area of the place. It had various things that she had collected during her time at the maid school. In the center of the room was a dual charging station that rode her cleaning robot onto and docked with it. Then Miaka sat up straight as the light faded from her eyes. Went vacant as she shut herself down to go into her maintenance/charging mode for the night.
