Chapter 9

(Flashback)

Nate and Rosa, former residents of Aspertia City and students at the Pokemon Academy, had a hidden past as ex-members of the notorious Team Plasma. Their lives were intertwined with the tumultuous split that led to the rise of the White Knights and the Black Pirates within the organization. The White Knights, led by the enigmatic Lord N, advocated for Pokemon liberation, while the Black Pirates, under the sinister Ghetsis, harbored ambitions of world domination.

Following a catastrophic event where Reshiram, the Legendary Pokemon, clashed and inflicted casualties among the Seven Sages and innocent bystanders, the White Knights disbanded, driven underground by fear and uncertainty. Meanwhile, the Black Pirates persisted in their nefarious schemes until they were thwarted by Ash Ketchum and his companions.

"Brother," Rosa begins, her voice tinged with uncertainty as they navigate their new reality. "Do you think we should forget our past and pretend we're oblivious to the world of Pokemon, now that we've settled here?"

Nate's expression reflects the weight of their shared history. "It's the only way we can survive," he replies somberly. "After the downfall of Team Plasma and the intervention of Lord N and Ash Ketchum, starting anew is our only option."

"But rumors about Ash Ketchum are spreading," Rosa interjects, her brow furrowing. "They say he's wanted for killing his own mother, with twelve supposed witnesses."

Nate's gaze sharpens with skepticism. "There's something suspicious about those claims," he asserts. "I refuse to believe Ash is capable of such a heinous act. Besides, one of those witnesses is the Unova Champion, and for some reason, I've never trusted her."

Rosa nods in agreement, her unease mirroring Nate's sentiments. "I can't shake off the feeling that there's more to this story than meets the eye."

After a few days of settling into their new life, Nate and Rosa's peace is shattered when they are ambushed by ruthless poachers intent on stealing their beloved Pokemon.

"Please, that's my Lillipup!" Rosa's cry is filled with desperation as she pleads with the heartless poachers, but her words fall on deaf ears as one of the poachers callously snatches Lillipup and Pidove, tossing them into a waiting van without a second thought.

"We need to stop them!" Nate's voice rings out in a futile attempt to reason with the poachers, but his plea is ignored as the van begins to pull away.

Acting swiftly, Nate commands his Porygon-Z into action. "Porygon-Z, use Sharpen!" With a precision honed through training, the Pokemon targets the van's tire, causing it to burst and sending the vehicle careening to a halt. The impact jostles the two captured Pokemon, causing them to tumble out along with the startled poachers.

"Pidove!" "Lillipup!" The two Pokemon rush to their trainers, relief evident in their gestures as they are reunited.

Enraged by the poachers' actions, Nate demands, "Who do you think you are? Give our Pokemon back!"

The second poacher, flustered by the unexpected turn of events, tries to flee, but his attempt is thwarted when Ash and Alice emerge from the shadows, cloaked to conceal their identities.

"We're the ones who stopped you," Ash declares with authority, his eyes flashing with righteous anger. "You'll face the consequences for your crimes."

Confused and defiant, the first poacher challenges them. "And who are you to interfere?"

"It doesn't matter who we are," Alice retorts coldly, her hand resting on a Pokeball. "What matters is that we won't tolerate actions like yours." With a swift motion, she releases her Avalugg, commanding it to freeze the poachers in place until Officer Jenny arrives to dispense justice.

As Avalugg's icy grip immobilizes the poachers, Ash strides over to Nate and Rosa, concern etched on his face. "Are you guys alright?"

The siblings, struck by Ash's lack of hostility and genuine concern, find themselves nodding in response. Once Officer Jenny arrives and takes custody of the apprehended criminals, Ash and Alice prepare to depart, but Nate and Rosa's voices stop them in their tracks.

"Can we come with you?" Rosa's request catches Ash off guard.

"Why?" Ash inquires, curious about their sudden interest.

"We admire your courage and your ability to help others," Nate explains, a sense of admiration in his tone.

After a brief exchange of glances, Ash and Alice agree, and as they remove their hoods, revealing their faces, Nate and Rosa are taken aback.

"That face... are you perhaps Ash Ketchum? The World Champion and the savior of Unova from Team Plasma?" Rosa's disbelief is palpable as she realizes who they are. "I'm your biggest fan!"

"Keep it down, please," Ash cautions her with a smile, mindful of Officer Jenny's presence. "Yes, I am Ash Ketchum. It seems the news has spread far and wide..."

"We've heard about your exploits, how you defeated Team Plasma, Team Flare, and even Team Skull," Nate adds, expressing their admiration.

"But we don't understand why you've been branded a criminal, accused of killing your own mother," Rosa interjects with a frown. "We don't believe such nonsense for a second."

Ash smiles warmly as Nate and Rosa introduce themselves. "I don't think I have ever asked your names," he admits, extending a hand. "I'm Ash Ketchum."

"I am Nate, and this is my sister Rosa," Nate replies, shaking Ash's hand firmly. "We're from Aspertia City and also students at the Pokemon Academy."

"Nice to meet you both," Ash says with a genuine smile. "Thank you for standing by my side. It's true, I've been framed. Those twelve witnesses are actually the real culprits in my mother's case. The challenge is gathering evidence without them noticing."

Nate nods in understanding, his expression sympathetic. "We'll do whatever we can to help, Ash. You can count on us."

Alice, who has been observing the conversation, adds optimistically, "Indeed, there's a new region called Sevestar where we can start fresh without the weight of false accusations. You're welcome to join us there if you'd like."

"Sevestar Region? That sounds exciting! Can we really come with you?" Rosa's eyes light up with anticipation.

Ash chuckles. "Of course, you're more than welcome. We could use allies like you."

After guiding Nate and Rosa through the vibrant landscapes of Sevestar, Ash extends an offer. "How about joining us as gym leaders here? Your skills and experience would be invaluable in shaping the region's future."

Nate and Rosa exchange glances, a silent conversation passing between them. Finally, Nate smiles and nods. "We accept. It's a chance for us to make a positive impact and leave our past behind."

Ash grins, pleased with their decision. "Great! Welcome aboard. Let's work together to make Sevestar a place of hope and progress."

Years pass, and Nate and Rosa thrive as gym leaders in Sevestar, their past as Team Plasma members a distant memory. With Ash and Alice by their side, they contribute to the region's growth and prosperity, forging bonds of friendship that withstand the tests of time and adversity.

Back on Sevestar Island, Ash and Alice are diligently grooming Pyroar, while Reisa, Rosa, and Nate approach them. Reisa curiously inquires, "So, what exactly are these disguises you're wearing?"

Ash responds with a sigh, "Well, these are the disguises of the former stylists, Namie and Reukra."

Rosa chimes in, "I've heard of them. They were renowned for their Pokémon styling skills, known for making Pokémon feel comfortable after their styling sessions. Getting an appointment with them used to be quite a challenge. But I heard they stopped styling Pokémon after their sponsor passed away."

Ash chuckles, saying, "That's correct. In fact, my Dad was their sponsor. So, these disguises belonged to my Dad and Alice's mother."

Alice adds, "Since we've already managed to revive D&W, we figured we could do the same for them."

Nate nods in agreement, saying, "Indeed. I'm sure people will appreciate it, especially considering that many have fond memories of what they used to do."

Rosa expresses her desire, saying, "Could you teach me how to style Pokémon? I've been a fan of them for so long, and I'd love to learn from the best."

Alice considers her request, asking, "Certainly, but do you have the necessary tools?" Rosa frowns, admitting, "I don't have them..."

"No worries," Alice reassures her. "I can quickly return to my house and see if my mother has any spare tools."

Rosa expresses a hint of concern, asking, "Are you sure I won't be a burden to you?" Alice responds with a warm smile, "Don't worry at all. I'll be back in no time." She then disappears, likely to retrieve the tools.

Nate turns to Ash and comments, "I'm still amazed that both of you can use Teleport."

Ash chuckles and replies, "Well, we are Aura Users, and that gives us a wide range of abilities and moves at our disposal."

Upon Alice's return, Ash and Alice decide to test out their new disguises. Together with Rosa, they share the news of their revival online. However, they also recognize the need to spend some time training in the styling business. Fortunately, Furfrou is more than willing to assist them.

While Ash is busy with Furfrou, Pikachu immediately rushes over to Alice, and she smiles affectionately, saying, "Looks like you want to be styled too, Pikachu. I'll take care of you."

Pikachu gladly curls up on Alice's lap as she begins to groom and clean his fur. Observing this, Rosa decides to lend a helping hand, as she doesn't have much experience with styling. After Ash finishes his own work, he notices Pikachu thoroughly enjoying the pampering session provided by Alice.

"It's clear that Pikachu really loves it," Ash remarks.

Alice responds with warmth, "Considering Pikachu is my Pokémon now too, I'm determined to give him the best care."

Ash gazes at Alice lovingly and says, "You know, I'm incredibly fortunate to have a wife like you. Having you in my life is the best thing that's ever happened to me."

Blushing slightly, Alice playfully chides, "Oh, stop it, Ash. You're making me blush again."

Rosa speaks up, saying, "Excuse me, but I don't want to feel like a third wheel here. If you're finished with Furfrou, it's my turn."

Ash nods and says, "Of course, Rosa. It's fortunate that Furfrou's fur grows back rapidly due to its ability, Fur Coat. This ability also comes in handy by halving the damage from Physical Moves during battles."

Alice adds, "It's indeed quite useful in battles." She finishes brushing Pikachu and says, "All done now, Pikachu."

Pikachu hops off Alice's lap, gives her a nuzzle as a sign of appreciation, and then rushes off to join other Pokémon in playful activities.

Ash turns to the other Pokémon in the vicinity and asks, "So, who's up for some styling?" Suddenly, a flurry of Pokémon begins to rush toward Ash and Alice, causing them to gulp a little at the unexpected demand for their services.

Initially, Ash and Alice head to the Rota Kingdom, where they inquire if Adam or Queen Ilene can assist them. With her support, they manage to find people interested in having their Pokémon styled. As news of their skills spreads, their appointment requests begin to pile up. Nate pitches in by helping them organize reservations to ensure they don't become too overwhelmed. Meanwhile, the rest of the team enjoys the process of styling Pokémon to make them look and feel their best.

As for Nate, he fulfills his dream of becoming a renowned novelist, with his debut book titled "Love in the Darkness." The story follows a boy named Ark and a girl named Alice as they join forces to vanquish an insidious evil team known as Team Jet, all while discovering love amidst the challenges they face together.

(Flashback Ends)

The atmosphere in Helen's Kitchen is lively, filled with the savory aroma of Chef Morris' creations.

"The food here is always amazing. Chef Morris has really outdone himself," Nate comments between bites, savoring the flavors.

"You eat so much after every gym battle, Nate. It's becoming a bad habit," Rosa chides playfully, shaking her head.

"It's alright. I'm covering the bill anyway," Nate replies with a grin, taking another bite.

Ash, curious about their recent endeavors, brings up a topic of interest. "You two have rejoined Team Plasma with N and Colress, right? How's that going?"

"We're making a difference," Nate answers proudly. "We're focused on rescuing abused Pokemon and finding them caring trainers who can give them a new lease on life."

"That's wonderful to hear," Lillie adds, watching Pikachu, Eeveon, and Snowy play together at the nearby playground.

Their conversation is interrupted when they notice the entrance of the traitorous individuals. Deciding to avoid confrontation, they finish their meal in silence, tuning in to the overheard conversation of the traitors. Fortunately, Serena's presence keeps them from discussing sensitive topics related to Ash, much to everyone's relief.

As the traitors discuss the wealth of the RPA and their privileges, Rosa advises calmly, "Let's just ignore them and finish our meal. They'll soon realize they won't be allowed back into the department store without the proper stickers after today."

"Indeed, their entitled attitudes won't get them far," Nate adds with a chuckle, sharing a knowing look with his sister.

With a sense of camaraderie and determination, they enjoy their meal, knowing that together they can navigate any challenges that come their way.

Here is a new chapter, and what's with the Darker Version without the plot of the Lighter Version? I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be more flashbacks and probably for Goh and Chloe.
