A/N: This chapter takes place after everyone leaves the Dodger party at Sharon's in 4x04, which leaves our two lovebirds alone on the rooftop together. This is what I see happening between them.

Chapter 13: Ready For It

"So…" Andy trails off as he grabs Sharon's hand.

"Alone at last," said Sharon as she looked at Andy.

"Yeah. Weren't you having fun with the team though?" asked Andy.

"I was. As you know, it's different with you though," Sharon told him.

"Yeah. I really wish we were able to make the Dodger game. I know how excited you were to go," said Andy as he squeezed Sharon's hand.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe things worked out the way they were supposed to this time," said Sharon mysteriously.

"What do you mean?" asked Andy curiously.

"Well, watching the fireworks on the roof with you…it was kind of romantic," Sharon pointed out.

"Romantic? Really?" asked Andy.

"Yeah," replied Sharon dreamily.

"Even with the team here?" asked Andy.

"It definitely could've been more romantic without them here, but yeah," replied Sharon.

"What do you mean by more romantic?" asked Andy.

"Well, first off, if we were the only ones here, I probably would've let you hold me in your arms as we watched the fireworks together," said Sharon.

Just then, Andy wrapped his arm around Sharon's waist and pulled her towards his chest as he said, "Well, we don't have fireworks, but we've got a full moon to look at."

"Yeah," replied Sharon as she brushed her hand along Andy's arm tenderly.

"What else would you have done if we were alone during the fireworks?" asked Andy, truly curious, as he whispered his question in Sharon's ear.

"I would've held your other hand and intertwined our fingers together," replied Sharon as she did just that.

"And?" asked Andy.

"After the fireworks, I would've turned around in your arms and taken both of your hands in mine," responded Sharon as she did exactly that.

"Huh," replied Andy as he looked into Sharon's eyes and smiled at her as she smiled back.

As Sharon's eyes darted from Andy's eyes to his lips and then back to his eyes again, the romantic tension between them was palpable.

"Then, I would've done this," Sharon told Andy as she pulled him towards her and kissed his lips.

Andy squeezed Sharon's hands as he slightly deepened the kiss.

After a few moments, Sharon broke the kiss and looked from Andy's lips to his eyes as she said, "That was…"

"Amazing?" asked Andy.

"I was gonna say incredible, but yeah, amazing works too," replied Sharon.

"So?" asked Andy a bit awkwardly.

"I'd do it again, but I think I've had enough excitement for one night," said Sharon.

There was a brief silence between them before Andy spoke up.

"Gosh. I don't want this night to end," said Andy as he rested his forehead against Sharon's.

"Me either," replied Sharon.

"Well, maybe it doesn't have to end," Andy suggested.

"Andy…" Sharon trailed off warningly.

"No, Sharon. Not that. I know we're not even close to being there yet. This," replied Andy as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.

"Phone sex?" asked Sharon a bit confusedly.

Andy laughed at Sharon's obvious train of thought amusedly, but immediately clarified by pushing a few buttons on his touch screen before Etta James' voice came through his phone's speakers as "A Sunday Kind of Love" began to play.

Sharon smiled at this unexpectedly romantic gesture before pulling Andy towards her as he slipped his hands underneath Sharon's cardigan and settled them on her hips as they began to sway to the music.

Sharon rested her head against Andy's chest and could hear his heart hammering in his chest.

A moment later, Sharon pressed a kiss against Andy's chest through his dress shirt.

Andy responded by pressing a kiss of his own into Sharon's hairline as they continued swaying to the music.

They continued this dance until the song ended.

"Do you wanna listen to another one?" asked Andy.

Sharon nodded her head yes and they kept dancing for five more songs, as Sharon nodded her head yes each time.

After the fifth song, Sharon said, "You should probably leave."

"Yeah, I should," replied Andy.

"Part of me wants you to stay though," said Sharon.

"I know. We're just not there yet, but we will be eventually. For now though, I should probably go. It's the right thing to do," said Andy.

"That's what I like about you," said Sharon.

"What?" asked Andy a bit confusedly.

"That you're such an upstanding man. A man willing to do the right thing even if it means going against his instincts. I see the way you look at me and I want you to know I appreciate you taking things at a pace I'm comfortable with," said Sharon.

"I wouldn't have it any other way. I know this won't work unless we're both comfortable with the pacing of it and I'm willing to do that as long as I need to," responded Andy.

"Let's go downstairs to the parking garage, then," suggested Sharon.

"Okay," replied Andy as he took her hand and they headed towards the elevator.

They stayed like that until they got to Andy's car in the parking garage and then reluctantly let go.

As they stood there saying their goodbyes, Andy pressed a kiss against Sharon's cheek.

"I hope that was okay," said Andy.

"It was more than okay," Sharon whispered in Andy's ear as she smiled at him for a moment before giving him a kiss on the cheek.

So, they were kissing each other now.

Like for real actually kissing.

Andy couldn't be happier as he got into his car and started it up.

"Drive safe," Sharon told him.

"I will," replied Andy as he put his seatbelt on and then blew her a kiss with his hand.

Sharon caught it near her heart with her right hand as she used her left hand to blow him a kiss back, which he caught near his heart.

As Andy pulled out of the parking garage that night, he had the biggest and goofiest smile on his face and Sharon definitely noticed because she had one on her face too.

As Andy headed towards Valencia, Sharon stood there in the parking garage and sighed for a moment before a huge smile appeared on her face at the thought of their evening together tonight.

It was surely a big step, but she was ready for it.
